  1. Enough with this "We want the truth!" nonsense. Quite frankly I'm sick of hearing people say this. If we're meant to hear what truly happened, it's not going to be because a bunch of fans, ex-fans, antis, or T-Jinyo pressured T-ara into speaking publicly about it, it will be because T-ara as a group feels comfortable enough to do so. The girls are probably in a fragile state of mind right now, hence why we haven't seen them once since this whole scandal erupted. They're probably in no condition to be making public appearances, and God only knows what's going on behind the scenes of this whole scandal. Stop focusing on something that doesn't involve you directly, it was never an issue involving fans to begin with. The biggest concern is that T-ara as a group resolves this, not whether or not you as a fan hear the truth. Anyways, the hidden subtext is that you want to hear them admit that they bullied someone, which may or may not have been the case; if they say anything else besides that you'll probably continue to call them liars. And if you truly are a Christian, your primary concern will be that the girls are okay, not whether or not they speak out about this matter any time soon. You should be praying that Jiyeon, Eunjung, Soyeon, Hyomin, Boram, Qri, Areum, and Hwayoung are all okay and are being watched over by whatever higher power they choose to believe in.

  2. I would consider this a positive step for KKS in becoming a better CEO. I think what a lot of people fail to realize is that this is not only a learning experience for T-ara, but for KKS as well. Hopefully he will learn that slave driving like the way he does will cause T-ara to be more stressed. Which will in turn lead to internal conflicts. Also, "I consider all the T-Jinyo and Sajeongyeon members to be people who love T-ara" ... What? I'm pretty sure a lot of the people in T-Jinyo are antis looking to cause trouble.

  4. If they didn't like it, why didn't they switch off their damn tvs or change the channel instead of watching T-ara throughout the whole show? If you hate something, just stay away from it. I know it's a tv show but they had a choice. i change the channel whenever I see someone that I despise on tv. It seems like the netizens hate T-ara A LOT but yet they seem to be more interested in T-ara compared to their fans. I hope MBC doesn't succumb to the pressure by these ignorant netizens and apologize.

  5. stop being immature people wouldn't believe whatever he said so stop asked about the truth it's t-ara internal problem so public must not know about it there's something that public must know and there's something public must not know... and now he send apology to public, t-ara, hwayoung and their parents

  6. Atleast, he apologize to both sides (T-ara & Hwayoung).. He put his ego a side. Credit to him.. I believe T-ara will getting stronger after this issue.. I want they know that their real fans always support them no matter what happens.. Good luck to them.. Hope after this, people will learn to thinks first before make an assumptions.. People who believe those rumors is not a smart person.. nuff to say.

  7. KKS didn't cause this mess, he didn't start the stupid rumors. Only provided vague explanations and people refused to believe ANYTHING that he mentioned. It was started by hater's rumors, spread by fools and believed by idiots after all. And no matter what he says or Hwayoung OR even other people, haters just refuse to believe anything unless it fits into their "t-ara bullied hwayoung" scenario with their out of context evidence. I mean com'on T-ara may have outcasted Hwayoung or Hwayoung may have acted arrogant, no one knows the truth yet people just keep bashing all these people causing them so much sufferings.

  8. [12.08.04] CEO Kim Kwangsoo public apology, "One misunderstanding lead to another misunderstanding" CEO Kim Kwangsoo of Core Contents Media has revealed a handwritten apology. On August 4th, Core Contents Media said, "On the 3rd, CEO Kim Kwangsoo met with the owner of Sajeongyeon 아르빛 (Nickname) and talked about the misunderstandings between the two." After this, Kim Kwangsoo has released a public handwritten apology to the press. He said in his public apology, "This is Core Contents Media's CEO Kim Kwangsoo. After Hwayoung's contract was terminated, there were many people who misunderstood what was said and lead to more misunderstandings about bullying and a blur to what happen. I apologize and bow my head." He continued to talk about T-Jinyo, Saejeongyeon and T-ara's anti-cafes. "There is a lot of love for T-ara. I consider all the T-Jinyo and Sajeongyeon members to be people who love T-ara. I would like to thank the many who held interest and concerns and watched over T-ara and will meet with whoever necessary to clear the air." He also talked about Hwayoung, who stands in the middle of the controversy. "I hope that she finds an agency that will help her study music and become a better rapper and artist. Please give a lot of interest and support to Hwayoung's next move in music." He finished with a comment on himself which was, "I'll strive to be more careful and not as reckless in front of the public's eyes. Again, I'd like to apologize for causing a lot of misunderstandings and a lot of social interest over this topic," he finished. *** Source: http://news.nate.com/view/20120804n07298 Translated by: Nathaniel @ Diadem

  9. "We're sorry we didn't edit a few guests in our show so that the show wouldn't have gaps in the middle" I mean come on really? What are they going to do with the apology? What's been aired has been aired.

  10. someone wrote this on tumblr Everyone wants the truth, but when they do tell the truth, no one believes them. Why? Because it’s not the truth that they want to hear. You all just want the truth that would benefit your side the most. You want your truth because you don’t want to be wrong for bashing T-ara as much as you did. No truth will ever be enough for you at all. When people show this truth, no one wants to believe that they were wrong and they’ll come up with excuses to prove otherwise. You can’t just blindly pick a side without knowing both side of the story. You all believed Hwayoung’s side, but when someone posts T-ara’s side, no one wants to believe it. Why? You were shown the whole truth, not just small part of a clip edited and posted as bullying. We just have to live with the fact that no truth will ever be enough for some people. No matter what you do, how you show it, how sorry you are, no one will care because it’s not what they want to see or hear. T-ara was successful before Hwayoung and I’m sure that they can become successful again with the support of their fans. Hwayoung learned to be an idol and a good rapper and I’m sure that she will be successful in the future as well. I hope that netizens will stop pushing this matter more. I think T-ara,Hwayoung, their families and friends have already suffered enough because of this. If you really want to make a difference in life and prevent bullying, then go to schools, talk to kids, make organizations, ect. Just sitting behind a computer and making/joining T-Jinyo won’t do you any actual good in the cause that you want to help. They can turn T-Jinyo into an organization that helps prevent bullying in schools, workplace, ect. Make a protest for something actually meaningful.

  14. I am sorry that you no longer are as supportive of T-ara because of peer pressure. I have cousins in their early teens that tease me for listening to k-pop; I don't care what anybody thinks. When I listen to them, I do it because I enjoy their music. True, T-ara will be affected by this controversy, even if the rumors are true. I will still support them because I believe in second chances. They have provided me 3 years of listening pleasure and I will continue to support all 11 members, past, present and future.

  15. because of this controversy, t-ara members will be too stress in the future esp in variety shows because everyone will watch them more closely and their interaction with the new members... this will be too tiring for them, i mean having no rest no sleep and then be judge for little things now when attending shows will affect the girls surely. i hope ccm have realize this things and stop adding new members already..The old members have no time and energy to babysit new members and expect them to be lovey dovey all the time. gosh thinking about all the public attention when the girls do variety shows and inspect their interaction is giving me a headache

  16. this is exactly the reason why he should keep quite and not say anything. he has again and again mentioned that problem lies with hwa. even over here he mentions it is not bullying. even after him saying so many things you still want the truth . that itself shows how pointless it as as you just want to hear one thing and one thing only. If i came across as rash in that comment i apologize. i just wanted to let out some steam when i saw your comment. but even then like ryan said the people want to only hear one thing as the truth.

  17. [12.08.02] Jo Harang comment on T-ara's situation "It must stop now!" Jo Harang decided to speak about T-ara's current situation of bullying. Jo Harang tweeted on July 30th, "You're here, but you're invisible. One day feels like a year, breathing is easy but you feel uneasy. The entertainment industry has the same environment as schools, companies, societies, institutes...This witch-hunting must stop for sure!" The next day, Jo Harang continued to post on Twitter this: "Starting from a young age, children start to acknowledge that you need to work hard in life [to get what you want], and you focus on this so much that you don't put any of your time into building a "relationship" and lack social skills. Lacking the experience of having a social life and troubles to maintain a relationship doesn't fade away when you suddenly elevate yourself into a high position (celebrey/famous)." Jo Harang was a member of "Jewelry", a group that also had to face a bullying controversy in the past, with her being the "witch-hunted member." Jo Harang tweeted again 31th July, exposing her uncomfortable heart: "The problem is brought by the public with a witch-hunt, even if it's not true [the rumor of bullying]. It was hard for me, back then, to have to read such articles [about me]. It is important [for T-ara] to overcome this and to live in the present." Netizens have reacted to these tweets saying thing like "Jo Harang seems to have troubles in her heart", "it seems that even idols are now refocusing themselves on the truth." "We need to brush off [this rumor] now" **** Source: http://news.nate.com.../20120802n30382 Translated by: shining star`★ @diadem *Usually don't post articles about Tweets from T-ara/other celebrities in the news section but this is different because she went through the same exact situation as the T-ara members being "witch-hunted."

  20. Hmm....I don't agree with this part because first of all even if they face the media; no one will believe because the damage has already been done. Therefore facing the media is not neccessarily the best choice since if they face media immediately....news will just make a big deal and go all crazy again. Therefore it does not put an end to this. However, letting them take a break for a while is the best choice because they need to work out every problems they have within first then learn from it and improve. In society they are known as "bullies" already. Even though there is no concrete evidence of the situation happening, but people will still label them as that even if they make a statement. If you give time into the situation a bigger news will come out then others will focus on that. That is how media works in modern days

  21. is this the first time he apologizes? right? i would say, "Thank you CEO" because at least you show us that you can actually eat your pride right now and admitted that you are kinda wrong. I hope you realize that adding new members to the popular group and removing a member who already had so much fans is really not a good decision. I think he really realized that his popular group, who has brought him tons of wealth, is now under a hard time. It really all started with adding members for real. But I'm really afraid to admit that, though i really don't want to admit, because of this letter, it really seemed like T-ara image are really damage big time. I wished that this will be one step to be a better CEO and for him to realized that caring to people around you is a must. I also wished that T-ara will regain their popularity step by step again and hopefully members need to at least clarify their posts not posting in a confusing way. I believe that after this incident, T-ara will show us another side of them, and stronger and careful than before.T-ara fighting!

  22. to all those who wants the girls to tell the truth i have only 3 things to say which have already been mentioned here a) i dont think they are in a mental state to face the media right now if they say the exact same thing as kks how many ppl would believe them c) to force them to say the truth and keep asking for it is not right i think and makes their situation only worse. the most we can do is keep supporting them and wait for them to say about it when they are comfortable about it. not whenwe want them to say it.

  23. All I see is someone who is trying so hard to save his business and the kids he has been looking after for three years since their debut. What's so wrong about it? All of the things that he did is only to save his kids (T-ara). Even a panda would strive to hit anyone who tries to hurt her kids. People should stop bad mouthing others, as if they have made no mistakes at all.

  27. Don't know if this airing is a good or bad thing for T-ara's case but, I always wonder why the Koreans put so much interest on people commenting on message boards... I mean every article ends up with "Netizens said this.." or "netizens said that.." The netizen could be a clueless 13-year old with a chip on her block and thinks Jiyeon & Eunjeung's bitchy drama characters are real.. or a lonely 15-year old boy with multiple internet IDs and a hunger for any attention..

  28. This is getting silly. No apology necessary! So many of these people are going on and on about how T-ara are bullies, bullies are evil, etc. Yet places like T-jinyo with 340,000+ members, rather than using their newfound popularity and influence in a positive way like trying to educate people on the perils of bullying and being bullied, they choose to spend their time digging up flimsy evidence to "prove" that Hwayoung was being bullied (a majority of which is complete nonsense, by the way), spamming message boards to have T-ara removed from programs, starting ridiculous petitions, etc. I think that's rather telling of their true motives. I too believe there may have been bullying going on, but I'm sure that it happened when the cameras were off and I don't think it's the real reason why Hwayoung was removed from the group. These people want the truth behind the whole situation, but the only truth they'll ever accept is their own twisted version of the "truth" which they believe they already know. What else do they want? There are just as many lies and twisted facts in their arguments as there are in those from CCM. I'm sure they started off with good intentions, unlike Tajinyo, but at this point they're turning into the same thing...

  33. let me explain to you about his point of view on 'apologies'. 1) he 'apologizes' for not handling the matter better, and for letting the people+fans+media came up with their own assumption. 2) he didn't really apologizes for bringing this upon the girls. 3) he didn't really apologizes for not telling the 'truth' about what happen within T-ARA because IF he REALLY APOLOGIZES for not telling the truth, HE SHALL TELL THE TRUTH BY NOW. because people didn't half-confess to mistakes they made. 4) he didn't really apologizes to Hwayoung. because if he DO, then it is ABSOLUTELY WITHIN HIS POWER TO STOP CCM/T-ARA 'REPRESENTATIVE' from slandering Hwayoung in recent interview, because he said initially, he wanted to 'protect' Hwyoung image as a celebrity. 5) what he really apologizes for is for letting the media portrays him as a Stalin-ish CEO, as to protect his 'image' as a cating CEO for the artists under his management. so, all in all, he'll never take Hwayoung back unless Hwayoung really says, "yeah, it's my fault for acting like a diva" from her own mouth, not like "Hwayoung apologized to me in tears and regretted her action for refusing to perform on stage".
    1 point
  34. I'm sorry but to say KKS's actions in the past few days were to 'protect' T-ara is just absolute fallacy. If anything, it was T-ara themselves that got the majority of the bashing instead, especially with his idiotic statements and he was more concerned with saving his own image. And you say he's the only one who put his energy into T-ara's success? What about the support staff then? Hm? The managers, stylists, cameramen, drivers and everyone else had it much harder, especially since their wages are smaller by a considerable margin. Do also note that T-ara had it far more harder than other idol groups out there to get to where they are - mentally AND physically. And who's to blame? None other than KKS and his ridiculous system. Working your own employees to the point of extreme fatigue and injuries while still piling more work on them is nothing but slavery. 2NE1 didn't even promote half as much as T-ara did, yet they're considered the only major rival to SNSD in terms of popularity. That goes to show that KKS's management is merely nothing more than a Battle Royale style - an unhealthy, extremely competitive and cutthroat environment that possibly not even currently popular groups may have lasted very long under without going through some serious crap.

It would just add more fuel, and we don't need that. But the apology is a big step especially for KKS. He admitted some of the guilt, I don't see why people are bashing him for this, honestly. As much as I don't like him, this was the right move now.

  40. I agree with you. His intention with this meeting is not to prove their innocence, it was to get some people that he could specifically target to either sue, give hush money to (or get them to sing his praises for the right price), or threaten in a private setting. If he'd come out and threaten his own group and try to destroy the character of someone who worked for him publicly, what makes you think he won't try this with a group who is trying to bring him down in a sense and behind closed doors at that? Nam Gyuri didn't call him a devil for no reason and the fact that this label under this CEO has had similiar incidents to this happen (not to this extent of course because the other groups weren't as popular) in the past speaks volumes as to what kind of operation KKS is running.

  48. Written by a Woojung fan about Eunjung and the recent T-ara controversy: Right now, it is as if we are in the centre of a vortex, in the midst of a temporary peace, unsure as to whether we are situated in the darkness before dawn, or whether we are about to face a greater storm. I’ve followed the recent news silently, watching as things turned for the worse, and watching as Eunjung lost, one by one, all her work…losing the things that are the most important to her, things that she has worked for all her life. The hard work that this girl has put in for the past 3 years, all her sweat, determination, painful and sleepless nights, in exchange, she has received the label of “evil.” It’s unfair, really unfair. Too unfair. But things in life are always as such. Because she is the most hardworking, because her work has had the most exposure, she was hurt the most. Had she been out of the spotlight, the harm to her right now would not be as great. But what did she? What did she actually do? These past few days, people have been trying to find blemishes on Eunjung’s profile, and what did they find? An edited video of her feeding rice cake. I cannot help but not say this, but Ham Eun Jung, your blemishes are so small and little that it pains my heart. But just like that, this one example was used to determine a person’s character and to deny her of everything. For a small act of horseplay. Is it fair? No it’s not. But the world does not care about fairness, and it is likely that only the people who love her will care whether this is fair. I am a Woojung fan, but I hae always focused and praised Jangwoo and rarely Eunjung. But today, I want to talk about Eunjung. A lot of people may not know it, but the thing about Eunjung that touched me the most was not her appearance, not her cuteness, not her aegyo. It was something unrelated to appearance, it was what she said: “I’m T-ara’s Eunjung.” It was the “T-ara” that she talked about all the time that made me look at her seriously. This girl, though participating in an individual programme, never forgot to mention and bring up her group. She came to participate in a solo programme that shows off a person’s individual charisma, but it seems as if she also carried the task of getting her group noticed. What impressed me was that she did not treat this as a burden. She really put in all her effort. She asked ahjummas, “Do you know T-ara? T-ara…” When she Roly Poly started playing in the car, she said, “Everybody quiet, listen to this!” Girl group idols who participate in We Got Married are many, but comparatively, T-ara really has been mentioned the most. Roly Poly, Bo Peep Bo Peep, Lovey Dovey…each title song has followed along in We Got Married. Adding to that was the scene in MBC Gayo when Woojung Couple MC-ed together, where Eunjung fought for a chance for T-ara to have screen time. Eunjung weaved through the crowd just to bring her group to the front [T/N: this was seen in a fancam taken just before the countdown]. She was not the only female-idol MC there at the time, but she was the only one who, while participating in a solo activity, thought not of how to get more screen-time for herself, but of how to get more screen-time for T-ara. At the MBC Gayo, Eunjung hurt her ankle…and the result? In less than a week, without rest, Eunjung went on stage to perform after receiving painkillers. This was not some large concert performance, but only a small stage on Music Bank. But for T-ara’s first comeback of the year, she pushed through. Compared to this, filming her drama [Queen Insoo] with a cast is nothing. Such professionalism, pain and determination, her achievements gained in exchange for her blood, sweat, and her own health. In return, she gained this label of “wicked” and “bully”. Is it fair? No it isn’t. Some people say, she came in last at the Idol Olympics, so what does she know about determination? But those people do not know, or pretend not to know, that the day before Idol Olympics, she filmed Running Man until 3am. For a 25 year old girl who has injured her left leg three times – having torn her ligaments, received surgery, received multiple doses of painkillers to perform on stage, having appeared on shows on crutches, having filmed running and jumping the night before until 3am only to wake up early in the morning with a smile on her face to participate in the Idol Olympics, for a girl like this, does coming in last place really mean she has no determination? … Really? Her leg… it can no longer withstand such intense sports anymore. She is only a bird with clipped wings and can no longer fly around easily anymore… This is why I have always looked at this girl with fondness. If she was wicked, lazy, black-hearted, went around lecturing people while not working hard herself, then I would not have nothing to say. But the truth is not like that. Even if only from We Got Married, I can see the effort she puts in to maintain and safeguard T-ara. Even if only from We Got Married, I can still see her professionalism and perserverance for her work. Even the Korean press has reported before that she has the busiest schedule. Let’s look at what the press have said before: “Schedules that even popular SNSD members, IU, and even male idols have found difficult to complete, even when she has completed such busy and hectic schedules, which is by itself not an easy task, there has been never any news her fainting or falling unconscious. Even when she is tired, she has never been called out for attitude problems. This is the ‘woman of steel’, T-ara’s Eunjung.” Enduring the craziest schedules, always undertaking superhuman amounts of work, yet never complaining or slacking off. Always the optimistic and bubbly one, the one who would step in for other members if anything happens to them. This is the Eunjung that makes my heart ache. The achievements that she has gained using everything she had in her life, all destroyed just like that… Rumours and insults, just like that, destroyed a girl. But, what exactly did she do wrong? What did she do wrong to ever have to suffer such accusations? She was clearly the last to tweet, and yet it was reported that she was the first one to do so. Why did people have to photoshop those screencaps like that? I don’t know. But let’s look closely at her tweet: “A person’s status is created by people; determination as well can also be created… Aigoo, it’s upsetting. Should be considerate to those beside you” What I want to say is, regardless of whom this tweet is directed to, I first have to say that coming from Ham Eun Jung, there is nothing wrong with it. Because her status was indeed created from her own struggles, from her own hard work all these years. Indeed, she was not given this status, but created it herself. Because she used her determination to complete the busiest schedules. Because she is clearly not a selfish person. If she were one, she would not have performed on stage while injured. So what she said, she did. She was not being scornful or taunting. As one of the longest T-ara members, the first leader, and the member with the greatest responsibility, she has the qualifications to say these words. Discussions always tend to support the weak, but what is right and wrong is not measured by a person’s strength or weakness or pity for the weak. Behind those who are strong, are also blood, sweat, and tears. Ever since I have slowly come to understand this girl, I wished for her to go solo and to find her own path and success. But I also realize that she is the one least likely to leave T-ara even if she has the most potential to succeed in doing so. I have always thought that she has a sense of stubbornness and determination towards T-ara. In Star Life Theatre, when thinking about T-ara 10 years from now, she cried. There will come a day when all their current glory will eventually fade away, and what brilliance she can hold onto and make into reality now is only temporary. Yet knowing this, she is like a moth to a flame, and will continue to try her best. Because, for this, she has already put in too much effort for too long. Eunjung has said before self-deprecatingly: she is destined to work forever. I agree, she is. Her stubbornness and determination: to get T-ara to the top. But when hope is near, it is completely destroyed. I feel saddened and heartbroken for how cruel fate is to this girl. She should not be treated in this manner. Did she do anything wrong? I would not say that she is a flawless goddess. She isn’t. Everyone is responsible to an extent for T-ara’s current situation, but the blame and criticism she is getting is too much. She has become a figurehead for netizens to express their anger on. Yesterday, I told my friend, let this be an once-in-a-lifetime life lesson then. But I know this is only something said in optimism, something that is easily said. I worry for Eunjung, but I also believe that she will grow stronger and learn from this experience. This girl, who hides her weakness in an outer appearance of strength, will either collapse or get back up stronger. I believe it is the latter. I too am looking forward to the return of a stronger and more determined Ham Eunjung. And more importantly, I know that she is not alone: she has her family and people who admire and believe in her.
