I think it's a typo of "avant-garde" literally meaning advanced guard. Figuratively it means "experimental, edgy" it may be just a placeholder?

In my opinion, her acting's above par, and even more so considering this is her acting debut. I hope she gets more screentime though; I feel like she pops up for a max of 2 minutes each episode
