T-ara will join the idol group comeback rush this summer by coming back in the first week of August - 3 weeks away!
T-ara had promotions nearly a year ago with "Sugar Free" followed by the unit activities with the Chinese-Korean project album "Little Apple". After that, they focused on Chinese promotions and Eunjung promoted as a soloist named Elsie.
After almost a year, T-ara will comeback in August. Originally it was planned in October but T-ara has a full schedule in China in the second half of the year including performances, concert tour dates, dramas, and CFs.
MBK Entertainment announced that T-ara's concept will be fun, unique, and exciting - a "cool" song for a "hot summer."

Jiyeon (22) is revealed to be dating actor Lee Donggun (35)!
On the 3rd, a Chinese fan uploaded an intimate picture of Jiyeon and Lee Donggun showing skinship at a restaurant with staff members from the movie "Encounter". "Encounter" is the Korean-Chinese movie that Jiyeon and Donggun have been filming since May together and slowly they developed a crush on each other.

According to a source, the two are not scared to show their affection for each other after the movie filming process.
Lee Donggun entered the entertainment industry in 1998 as a singer but since then he has been popular as an actor in various dramas and movies including "Lovers in Paris". Jiyeon began appearing in the industry during 2007 but debuted as a singer in 2009 as a T-ara member.

[15.05.05] Jiyeon in talks to lead in Chinese-Korean movie "Encounter"
with Lee Dong Gun
 

 
Jiyeon is currently in talks for a movie to set sail from the Mediterranean Sea towards the Indian Ocean on a cruise trip with Actor Lee Dong Gun.

An MBK representative revealed to Star News that talks for Jiyeon's casting is still under-way. If finalized, both are expected to be departing to Chengdu, China on the 7th of May for a Korean-China breathtaking collaboration movie 'Encounter.'

'Encounter' will be a romantic comedy about a love story between a man and woman unfolding on a cruise ship sailing from Spain’s Barcelona to the Indian Ocean.

Rookie director Kim Jung Han will be producing the work with Korean actors and staffs, and collaborating with the Chinese Media Council.

Lee Dong Gun and Jiyeon will be required to do a short filming session in the heart of Spain’s Barcelona.

After sailing on the world’s largest super cruise Royal Caribbean Cruise, they will also visit Athens in Greece and Rome in Italy, Dubai in United Arab Emirates etc. The love story will be further unfold across these places.

Previously, Lee Dong-gun had appeared on Arirang TV in March and said that he “will be starring in a Chinese movie.”

Furthermore, Jiyeon spoke that T-ara have received huge popularity from their promotion of ‘Little Apple’ in China. As such, the movie’s producing team has decided to have Jiyeon as one of the casts.

The movie ‘Encounter’ will be on China's big screens in October.

On April 11th, T-ara attended and performed at YinYueTai's The 3rd V Chart Awards in Beijing where the won the awards for Most Popular Korean Artist and Hot Trend/Star Artist of the Year. Jiyeon grabbed an extra award for herself Best Korean Female Artist.

On December 14th, Park Hyojoon, elder brother by one year to our Jiyeon, made use of his time off from his mandatory military service to attend T-ara's 2nd Queen's Fanmeet 'Present'!

[14.08.19] T-ara to stay away from sexy concepts with an authentic EDM comeback song on September 11th!


T-ara has confirmed their comeback date and release of a new mini-album to be September 11th!
After announcing they were coming back in September, a comeback date of September 11th has been revealed today to OSEN. Up until that point, T-ara has been and will be preparing hard for this new release.
T-ara also unveiled through their agency Core Contents Media a new concept picture. The picture is a sporty and sexy chic look that is completely different from their last musical style concept with "Do You Know Me?".
But in actuality, T-ara will not comeback with a sexy concept, but rather a stylish and chic/cool concept.They will show a stylish color that is completely different from Hyomin and Jiyeon's solo ventures.
T-ara's title song will be a special genre of EDM (Electronic Dance Music) called Big room. Big room is an EDM genre that is centered around minimalist percussion, regular beats, simple melodies and synth-driven breakdowns. Core Contents Media revealed they will also be working with real and authentic EDM musicians.
An example of a "Big room" genre song would be Martin Garrix's Animals or Epic by Sandro Silvo & Quintino.
They will also showcase a catchy new dance as they have with their retro Roly-Poly dance, Lovey-Dovey shuffle dance, and robotic Sexy Love dance.

After Hyomin teased us about T-ara’s impending comeback just last night, CCM has revealed today that the group will be making their return in early September with an exciting dance title track!

A CCM representative reveals they had initially planned for a comeback in August but will now move the date to September to make more time for recording. They also revealed they will be releasing another mini album this time and will be delivering some exciting dance music.

T-ara’s last promotions as a group was 8 months ago in December 2013 with Do You Know Me followed by the successful solo debuts of Jiyeon and Hyomin with 1 Min 1 Sec and Nice Bodyrespectively.
