Of course. I keep guessing as to how much youtube views the first music video will hit, on its first day of release. Seeing that this particular drama has a very long airing history, I think there will be many people watching it. Obviously, there's lots of fans internationally, so it would be safe to say a lot more people will be seeing it. I hope all of the music videos get lots of views nonetheless.
    Nice picture.

Like I answered back in my PM as well, its not about the comment or logic but the way of approaching T-ara's article itself. Anyways, My question to you wasnt about this article itself but the real meaning of fan "as in" the question.Though my question was somewhat away from the thread for which I apologize but the outcome aka reply was worth enough.. Btw, Scatter the article itself isnt talking about them being in hiatus for 11 years bt its talking about the 11 years hiatus they had after the completion of Drama" Rular Life" which had same name as T-ara's song "Rural Life".. To be more precised, its talking about the 11 years hiatus they had from last "Rural Life" (their Drama) to T-ara's "Ruarl Life" (T-ara's song). Basically its about the time that took them to come together as a couple from one Rural life to another Rural life and the time interval i.e. 11 yrs was termed as Hiatus.. Well that's what I understood from the description and I dont think CCM or reports will make such obvious mistake coz Choi Bool-am had his last drama in 2012 as stated in his Dramawiki..

errrr There are only 2 common points:
    1. Same director. But this guy starts working with T-ara since Bunny Style, not just now. It's an improvement on CCM side actually. Because the girls normally will get really fast and dizzy dance video if they stay with their old director, but by collaborating with new director (with proofs of performance), CCM can ensure that T-ara MV will be up a notch. In fact, CCM only work with high profile composers and directors. Back then, when Cho Young Soo are always the one who make the most money in Korea (for composer), CCM songs are always composed by him. And then, CCM works with Shinsadong Tiger after the guy proves himself with success songs for Beasts and 4min. After Kang JiWon and Kim KiBum success launching Secret to fame, CCM also hire them. And now, as you know, Duble Sidekick continuously write hit songs for CCM.
Therefore, i dont think its a surprise when CCM hire Cho SooHyun for T-ara this time. I actually wish CCM hire the guy who did BAP's One Shot MV though. Nevertheless, Cho SooHyun is not a bad choice either.
    2. CCM want the song and the dance to become a national trend like Gangnam Style. But really, who doesn't?
Aside from that, nothing from T-ara is related to PSY. I dont think they are inspired by PSY style at all. Maybe hiphop but even 4min is going hiphop.

I like all of their new looks in their sub-unit images. I can't wait to see their full music video. Did they release a tracklist yet, and/or will this be a single?
I heard and saw the video teaser on youtube not too long ago, and it doesn't sound similar to 2Yoon's 24/7 at all, so there's no need to worry.

For me, this is really no different than hearing a certain member got a role in a movie or a drama and the fanbase supports them. Or at least they're supposed to.
When I was heavily into the Sone fandom people wouldn't tolerate putting down other members in the group. You either liked them all and treated each with respect or you weren't a real fan. I've kind of carried that mentality with me ever since. It just makes sense doesn't it? They're a group. They'll have side projects, they'll have personal projects but it doesn't mean they aren't a group any more. I'm confident T-ara will be back at 120% after this subunit business and until then I'll be supporting N4 and T-ara until the end.

I'm not sure about how much Hip Hop they'll be infusing into their song and choreographing, one of many questions I have currently about on their concept, but it should prove interesting to see how well they do as a sub-unit. As for a group, I still would like to see and hear all of the members rap.
Note to Original Poster: Please add/update the members who've rapped so far when they do.

Yeah, couldnt agree more. Hip-pop is definitely new to me when I link that with T-ara. Tara & HIP-POP They had some what like Hip-pop feel in Roly-Poly but that was their costume. Now that they are going all out with Hip-pop song, dance and rap, I have my doubts to some extent. And I am not worried about this promotion, but the feedback from General peoples. Given that they made it big with this Hip-pop song, they will have easy time promoting as a whole group in summer but if it's other way, then its nothing more than adding fuel in the fire. Anyway, we are fans and we should always be positive and support them. I want to go as far as to say they will have ALL-KILL but to remain on the safe, I believe they will do better than SL.

I suspect the rap style won't be like previous ones, since they're going with a brand new producing approach with this unit. Granted, I enjoyed their previous ones, and won't mind an expansion to them, but I get the feeling they are going to do something quite different, considering this is a sub-unit with a Hip Hop concept. The amount of lyrics will definitely increase, which would mean a more developed character in each of their deliveries. The key to this will be the background they'll be playing on. I hope it all fits together.

Indeed, can't wait for T-ara's subunit to debut, but I still want to know the name of this sub-unit, among the type of rap style they'll be using for this new concept of theirs. I don't know if this will tip my balance into choosing which one is better. I doubt it will, but I'll have to see, I mean, listen.

Trust me, it's all education mixed with natural street learning. Yeah, Choir Classes certain didn't teach rap back in my school days, because it was, and still is, a youthful, off-the-books sort of thing, well, besides the dictionary of course.

Agreed, all of them are good rappers, and show lots of potential, and deliver passable lyrics to keep both the Hip Hop and Rap culture relevant and together in K-Pop.

Emperor, did you learn music or are you throwing words randomly?? As far as raping is concerned, I believe all of them are decent rappers while Eunjung and Hyomin is little better than Hwa' given that they were more trained than the latter. But definitely, Hwa' showed huge progress in her rap from YaYaYa to Day by Day. As Far as the poll is concerned, I am voting Jungiee coz she is my Love but If I have to be fair then all of them are equally talented and decent rappers more or less..

That's understandable. Hwayoung projects more of herself when she raps when compared to the rest of the members rapping. Her style of rapping emphasis more on impact and intonation in the lyrics to flow easily with the background, giving it more depth, thus using more vocal energy than a simple rhyme. Given that Eunjung has more vocal training and developed since then, it doesn't surprise me that she could last beyond the 30 second range. 30 seconds is around Hwayoung's delivery on record so far, but I suspect she could go for much longer, and give a decent minute of verses. Eunjung has a more settled approach on her deliveries, and leans back more on the background, giving that comfortable audio appeal. Hyomin is around the same as Eunjung too, but has a bit more character to stand nicely poised when listening to her deliveries. Yeah, I still can't decide which member is better than the other still.

Emperor Ryu got a reaction from nathaniel in [13.04.09] T-ara's hip-hop unit.. Hyomin caught shopping with stylist in Japan
I find this interesting, and I eagerly await to see what they'll create for this concept. Hip hop has always been and always will be a part of the youthful, cultural adrenaline in music. It has its up and downs in its long history, but still brought many unique music works, as well as integrated inspirations from other music genres, and a very, very, very long list of memorable artists to the industry world wide, and it continues to grow to this day. Hip Hop in general is diverse in a broad sense, and having K-Pop part of it is to be expected, given the successes with 2NE1, Girls' Generation, and the Wonder Girls recently.

As much as wanting to find out the details of their comeback, we'll be guessing from all sorts of angles to no avail, and probably won't be able differentiate between the personal and the professional errands, until a teaser/preview is released, and then begin the match-making fashion game again.

I am thankful that all 3 shopping areas/stations (Omotesando, Harajuku, and Shibuya) are close to each other. All 3 of them contain high class fashions, street urban wears, casual, pop, and risqué appeals. Like all fashion stores relying on a second opinion from a third party from time to time, I think those fans in those stores are lucky to share their input with what could be considered the next potential comeback for this debuting sub-unit of T-ara. I hope it works out when they put it all together. That pair of sunglasses sort of reminded me of Lexy's, in her comeback music video not too long ago. The reminiscing items part is making me wonder what eras of Hip Hop's history are going to be part of their aspirations for their sub-unit performances.

The choreography section in the article doesn't really surprise me, because one of the many essential aspects of the Hip Hop cultural is having lots of people. They don't call it a "crew" for nothing. I hope to hear more from our T-ara soon. It sounds like things are getting even more better for T-ara nowadays.

@Scatter.. I am here to fight with you,LOL
As for trying to 'bring back a craze similar to the Roly Poly dance', I really doubt T-ara has much sway in deciding the choreography for its promoted tracks and hell, to repeat the same former glory thing in K-pop is almost impossible. Even SNSD's releases in 2011 and 2010 never managed to go beyond the craze that Gee and Tell Me Your Wish Genie was able to pull off nationwide, and they're under the largest and most wealthy agency in K-pop. There's little to no hope to even think CCM/KKS can do any better. Every major group in K-pop has its big one-time mass success release and releases after that don't usually do much better in scale.
    - I have to disagree with you respectfully here mate. T-ara hit Daebak with BPBP and their popularity didnt go down the hill after it. With each release, they made it bigger and bigger. If the news of this so-called bullying hadnt pop up, I would even dare to say that SL would have done more better than RP & LD. They arent named Transforming Devil without any reason. With each and any concept, they have always done justice to their song and Choreography

The sub-unit rumors weren't necessarily proven to be false...it could have been that CCM just wasn't ready for the news to be announced yet, and obviously the mention of Double Sidekick being the primary producer was incorrect. The girls are sticking with Shinsadong Tiger for their producer for the track.
And yes, Hwayoung was expelled from the group, but of course they aren't going to put that in their official announcement for this sub-unit. Which sounds better, being expelled or withdrawing from the group? Haha.
Like someone else in this thread said, "Rural Life" sounds like it could be a very rough translation at this point, so who knows? Or maybe it has to do with their concept. Either way, it sounds intriguing, and with Shinsadong Tiger behind it you know it's going to be a catchy, glittery dance-pop song.
As far as the press release stating that it will "mend people's hearts," it's more or less saying that this is CCM's way of slowly reintroducing the group back into the public eye. At one point, EunJiMin were the group's three most popular members, so of course CCM wants to remind people of why they were considered the holy trinity in the first place, and Areum is the new kid in town, so she's in the unit to get more exposure as well.
Ultimately, it's like some people were saying...I don't think T-ara really has anything to lose in Korea at this point. People are going to hate regardless of what they do, but people will also still buy their music and support them if their output is good. Just look at Sexy Love, it may have not done as well as their past releases, but they put out arguably one of the best songs of their careers and killed their performances, and the song did pretty damn good. I think this sub-unit is a good way of testing the waters, so to speak, and I'm sure that it doesn't hurt that sub-units are the big thing in K-Pop right now, like you said; if this goes well, we'll get a song from the full group in a month or two, and if it fails, we'll have a bit longer to wait than we thought. I'm inclined to believe that it will do well though.

Almost every gang throughout the world involves minors in one way or the other, whether they be children of their own family to someone's kid(s) via money. So, there's really no difference other than the name of the gang.

They are so definitely not the only gang to resort to such blackmailing tactics. Why are we even talking about Hyomin's past, when she's not even involved with them currently? Is this some sort of stigma against her, or something? Perhaps to drive her in that direction again? Maybe that's who these antis are, a gang?

So there's a notion going around about the gang blackmailing Hyomin now?

Since when did Daum and Twitter companies give a person, in this case a celebrity, the exact same ID? Why is this even relevant? This doesn't make sense, especially when signing up an online Daum e-mail account that asks for a e-mail address, password, and name (e-mail ID), while Twitter asks for a user name (e-mail ID), e-mail address, and password? Couldn't it be plausible for someone to choose the exact same name? I recall an artist asking someone to change their online name, because she wanted to use her same one, and that person so happened to be first to use it on a website. And we can't rule out the possibility of hacking into someone's account either, let alone cover this photoshopping point of view all over again.

Geez, is it that easy to forget apologies and acts of redemption? Do we have to resort of barbarism in order to appease one another? Is there that much need to see ghostly spirits this badly? Why are we having this discussion?

The antis in general went after each member, regardless. To go after specific members won't make sense for their overall goal, which is to kick T-ara to the curb and be forgotten.

That's old news. When I first heard about it, it didn't shock me at all, given how our artists here in the U.S. didn't bother to hide their gang affiliations and past crimes, and their musical career was viewed on as a means to redeem him/herself in the eyes and ears of the public. In some cases it worked out, while others didn't get the chance to live for tomorrow, as others still struggle with it. In Hyomin's case, it's pretty safe to say, she's endeavoring to live a better life without hurting others while she's still alive. I see no need to go into detail about their personal lives to locate their past transgressions, because it'll only serve as a means to prolong and halt any and all positive accomplishments they have done thus far to redeem themselves. Plus, it has nothing to do with us period. That's their privacy, their lives, not ours. If they choose to admit to past mistakes, they are doing so because they want to correct them very much, and asking for others for help and guidance, and hopefully become a better person when it becomes finally resolved.
Some antis, if not most, will always try to look for bad things in other people, simply because they themselves are hiding their own evils. In other words, give attention to someone else, other than themselves. I do find the irony in antis committing crimes, some are misdemeanor types, while trying to point out crimes in others, while failing to realize that by trying to correct someone else's problems does not solve their own. Strangely funny.

Emperor Ryu got a reaction from hadzrin in [13.03.27] T-ara's Eunjung-Hyomin-Jiyeon-Areum to form a sub-unit and create national trend
But here's the thing though, if Core Contents Media didn't issue anything official about a sub-unit, why should there be any need to disagree with it? Sort of a waste, won't you agree? Yes, there are still some antis, but there are also still some who support them over there. Despite their over-reactions and misjudgments into matters, why should we advocate the antis' point of views, in the first place, especially when realizing the utter futility in it? Won't it be more productive to support them, when in part of the antis goal is to convince the supporters to stop supporting T-ara and leave the fandom?

Yeah, I'm not going to bother with that ridiculous nonsense prior to this, but anyways, . . .

    1. So, basically, Hyomin can't redeem herself then? Who ever said she couldn't? So a child, let alone a teenager has absolutely no chance to make things right in life? That doesn't make sense.

    2. That assumption that every member in a fandom is a fanatic is invalid and dead wrong. Yes, there are those who do lots of things to support the girls, but that doesn't describe every fan though. And showing their bad sides is not going to change that, ever, not the entire history of music around the world. In time when the artists themselves are no longer able to perform at the peak level when they were younger, sure, the extremism will eventually die down, but to lie to them into abandoning like this, is wrong. Any person who has ever made a mistake is suppose to be encouraged to correct it, and become a better person. Not condemn severely beyond the fairness of responsibility. Any gang that crosses that line that murders someone, is no different than any other gang that does the same thing, if not way worse. Why these unnecessary scary tactics? Why make Hyomin the poster child of these, when the criminals themselves are suppose to be? Makes no sense. This is in her past, and it's pretty obvious that she's moved on to become a better person, otherwise, if she stuck to them, she won't have been a celebrity at all.

    3. Good that the gang doesn't resort to such criminal activities.

    4. They are young, right? They do criminal activities, correct? Henceforth, a gang. It's in the dictionary.

    5. It still doesn't rule out unauthorized access into the accounts, and mutual circumstances though.

    6. Their problem doesn't even come close to T-ara's, because the whole thing was mostly about false evidence and misleading conjecturing by impersonators. Asking T-ara to apologize for unconfirmed events? That doesn't make sense. Shaving their hair off for an internal conflict and not some international incident? Again, that's way out of line. Their sincere apology matched the severity of their own responsibilities in their ordeal. I don't think reliable and trustworthy is accurately described here, more like vindictive and spiteful.

    7. Going after every member is going after the entire group. It didn't leave no one out of that. Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon had more projects to fulfill than the other members, that's why they got that much flak. Each member got hated on, right down to Dani, who didn't even officially debut with the group, and only managed to get in a single music video at the time. Therefore, there's no grounds to even say that Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon got it more, while saying at the same time the entire group was hated, on based on the antis ultimate goal. That's a contradiction already.

    8. It's not illogical nor stupid to point out that South Korea did and still does pay attention to celebrities in the U.S., and that point of view to deny such is already idiotic. Also, there's no where in my posting that stated that the world is the U.S. So again, such irrational thinking is being demonstrated once again in your argument. Especially when there already artists in K-Pop who are born and raised in the U.S. As the "artist" label, I don't see an "idol" label any where on their music. Perhaps reading the definition for "artist" will better assist this utter confusion of hatred. Now, as for the culture and society, it is well known that societies and cultures do grow and change over time, and even learn from different ones periodically. Given how the internet is able to share such knowledge and experience, it doesn't negate one from another country to learn about the society and culture from another part of the world, who is connected online too. Do you honestly believe that bullying, suicides, and all those bad things happen only in South Korea? That would be very foolish to think so.

Okay, there's some flaws in this irrational reasoning here. Firstly, it's not a requirement to experience bad things, in order to know bad things. There's education to inform and lessons to teach, that won't result in using a firearm in a classroom, in order to better demonstrate the realities of using a device. Such line of thinking is actually a bad thing, because it's curbing against education, and making everybody to become more of a victim, when they should be more responsible and aware to avoid such pitfalls. Bullying and performing their jobs are 2 different things here. Contractually these employees are required and expected to uphold their employment agreement. Should the job requirements overstep its' boundaries, the employee has the right to refuse. In the bullying application, it is simply a means of harming and intimating, in order to feel empowered with no retaliation whatsoever, plain and simple. And again, supportive comments are just supportive comments. Committing a crime in order to find a crime, that's what I was saying. Do you understand?

Why are you comparing me to someone else online?

As for the rest of the nonsense, I only have this to say, which accurately describes antis. Thus, I do know antis.

If they accept this offer and announce the scheduled dates, hopefully, we'll find out who.
If that misunderstanding "didn't happen" back then, we would've seen them enjoying longer vacations by now. So everybody has to realize that they have to "work harder" to "regain" with what they lost, and as the saying goes, "The only easy day was yesterday."
I would rather see payroll documentations and copies of their paychecks, before assuming they get low wages no matter what.
Seriously, this whole thing about overworking is beginning to be quite redundant, even for an industry where projects don't even last the length of a seasonal job, especially when some of them don't even come close to a month. For an artist(s) to get a tour of their own is good. Getting 2 ensures a degree of job security for them. Especially when compared to the many other artists who don't have such job opportunities.
If you ask me, Korea is much more than just a cash cow, it's their home.
Did T-ara release their entire 2013 work schedule in detail to the public already? If so, can you post it up here, please? I for one, would really like to know what is called "an over packed schedule" for the members.
This year we started to see them going on vacation though, however, after that misunderstanding, whatever further vacations they had planned were taken off indefinitely, and were replaced with projects to regain with what they lost. Hwayoung's contractual termination and Eunjung's removal from that drama was a wake up call to them on just how severe the situation had gotten for all of them. Now if they want to return to their previous status quo, they'll have to work much harder, like Hwayoung rejoining T-ara, despite some fans wanting them to take a break and they have bills to pay and retirement to save up for. Sometimes, it feels as though all of these break requests really means the fans don't want them to earn any money, let alone work in the business anymore.
