[14.12.16] Hyojoon leaves a supporting message for T-ara
    and his little sister Jiyeon

On December 14th, Park Hyojoon, elder brother by one year to our Jiyeon, made use of his time off from his mandatory military service to attend T-ara's 2nd Queen's Fanmeet 'Present'!

After the show, Hyojoon posted a photo with T-ara with a sweet message:
They said one, two, three without me realizing, I almost lift a fist while shouting ‘hwaiting’..
I will take a picture with Hyomin noona again later…with noona’s expensive selca stick!
I wanted to send a happy birthday message to Qri noona but I didn’t know noona’s new phone number so..it’s late but happy birthday!
Eunjung noona who keeps getting prettier, she lives nearby but it’s not easy to run into each other in the neighbourhood! ahhh..maybe because I’m a soldier..hahaha
    Hojoon-ah~Hojoon-ah~ Please call me ‘Hyo’joon, Soyeon noona^-^
Let’s have a meal together later, Boram noona! A dr-..drink would be good too heuheu..
At last, Jjirong-ah (Jiyeon), Oppa has 9 months left!
After 9 months, I will become an honourable oppa whom you can be proud of wherever you go!
I am supporting you whenever and wherever.
    Fighting!

    Translation by T-arazone.
Though in the midst of his service to his country, it is endearing to see Hyojoon's continuous love for his baby sister. Fans have speculated Hyojoon's discharge to be on the 27th of September in 2015, a mysterious date given in Jiyeon's solo mini album that matches up with his mention of having 9 months left!
Let's look forward to the reunion of these dear siblings! In the meantime, you can follow Hyojoon on Facebook for more of his updates.

The forest made in T-ara's name now stands complete in Yeouido's National Assembly Station and has opened to the public.

This forest was funded by T-ara's Korean fansite, T-araDotCom, along with fansites DIADEM, TARA6JAPAN, T-ARACHINA, and T-ARAHK for the group's 5th Debut Anniversary.

Several countries have contributed to this project, including Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China, Thailand and Indonesia. The forest houses six trees named after the six members of T-ara; Boram, Qri, Soyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon.

The T-ara Forest project is an eco-friendly place where people can go to relax and is a great way to improve Seoul's urban environment.

Meanwhile, T-ara landed in Vietnam today (the 9th) to prepare for a fan-meeting they are holding on the 12th of January for Vietnamese QUEEN's.

    ---

Big thank you's go out to all the QUEEN's that took part in making this project possible!

I'm pretty excited for this, good luck to them. On Netizen Buzz, when they release a T-ara article, I keep reading the English translations of the top Korean Netizen comments from T-ara articles on Korean music websites, and they are still not supportive. I highly doubt that they will become a top 5 girl group again in South Korea. They will stay around 12th place for a bit I think. I would like to see T-ara focus less on South Korea.

In Japan, they have lost a lot of popularity, although so have Girls' Generation and Kara. I think they should focus less on Japan.

In Usa, it will be tough for them to get popular and also release many title tracks I think, so I don't know if they should be doing much promotions in Usa besides an occasional concert in LA/NY/SF.

I keep reading about their popularity being very high in China, and also I believe some other East Asian countries (that aren't South Korea and Japan), like Vietnam if I remember right. I think it's a great idea for them to be the first Korean pop girl group to do heavy promotions in China and see what they can accomplish there. They got this contract in place now and hopefully they have studied enough Chinese language to speak and sing it well. I'd like to see them release at least two Chinese language title tracks in China in 2015.

So they will have to reduce their promotions in South Korea and Japan, and not do too much in Usa. In addition to this, in order to free up time, I think they should not promote T-ara N4 and QBS, since there is only a finite amount of time available.

I think in 2015 they should release two title tracks in South Korea, two in Japan, and two in China. While not doing Usa non-concert promotions, and also not doing T-ara N4 and QBS promotions.

    What do you think?

Eunjung is looking forward to their Chinese promotions and is hopeful! :-)

[14.09.28] T-ara sign $5 million USD contract to begin entry into Chinese market

T-ara has revealed their plans to enter into China.

Following the immense popularity of the Hallyu Wave, Newsen has revealed that T-ara, who are one of the most popular K-pop groups in China, has signed a contract with the Chinese management company Longzhen Culture Development. The company also supports artists such as Andy Lau, A-mei, and Jacky Cheung.

T-ara plan to be active in China not only in music, but in dramas, films and CFs as well.

On October 13th, T-ara will depart from Korea to China for five days. They will hold a formal signing ceremony at the New World Hotel in Beijing and conduct various promotional activities. There are plans for T-ara to be published and interact with over 100 different Chinese media sources.

T-ara's "Sugar Free" has been immensely popular in China with the music video ranking #1 on the domestic K-pop video charts. Hyomin and Jiyeon also took over the #1 spot when they released their solos there.

The details of their contract was revealed to be worth nearly $5 million USD.

Check out more photos from T-ara's contract signing over at our Forums.

LordNoodles reacted to CornOppa in [GUIDE] Instructions for getting into music shows
    Hello fellow Queens'

There has been a lot of questions directed to me in regards to attending music shows for T-ara in Korea.
So I'm here to answer your needs.
Requirements for all music shows are the same unless they are concerts.
(e.g. SBS The Show that usually records a concert instead for which you will require to get a ticket instead)

There are 5 important things that you must have, and to each I will try my best to guide you on getting it.
First and foremost, Queens' membership card.
Secondly, signing up for the event on daum cafe.
    Thirdly, album
    Fourthly, MP3.
    Fifth, Ringtone.
If you have all 5 items, then good for you, you will be ranked cat 1.
And for each missing item, your category will drop.

Queens' membership card, will be given to members who have paid to be on the daum cafe.
(Registration is already closed so your only option is to wait till next year or ... )
DO NOTE, for those members that have yet to receive their cards, you must print out the receipt/ notification page, that indicate that you have paid to be a member.

Signing up for an event on the daum cafe, DOES NOT REQUIRE YOU to have a QUEENS' membership card. You will just need a daum account which can be easily obtain via these few easy steps here.
One/few days before the event, the registration for the event will opened up. All you need to do is to follow the instructions fill in the particulars as accordingly, and lock your posts and you're considered signed up.

Album is by far the easiest step, whereby you will just need to purchase an album of the current song that they are promoting. Assuming the album that they are promoting is currently unavailable, then you must bring the album they were promoting previously unless stated otherwise whilst signing up for the event on daum cafe.

MP3 is slightly difficult as you will need a credit card to purchase the song on iTunes. Assuming the song is not available on iTunes, then you will require a Korean to help you purchase a song on the music sites, notably Soribada or Melon. ( What i did was to get my hostel owner to help me purchase the song on my behalf instead ) After buying the song, make sure you PRINT out the screen capture of your receipt. You MUST PRINT it out ( i.e. No showing of the image on your tablet/phone)

Ringtone will be the most difficult of them all. There are two ways of getting it. The official way is to get a ringtone via the music sites and then send it to your phone, however this means that the buyer will have to send you the ringtone ( Since music sites requires a Korean ID, it will be be difficult for us to sign up for an account there. )
. Now the other unofficial method is to make your own ringtone, which is highly unrecommended, because i'm not sure of any repercussions. What they usually want to see is a ringtone with 30secs and the album jacket on the ringtone. I.E. they will ask you to play the ringtone on your mobile phone; the display should have the album jacket as the image and the ringtone should be 30 seconds long. Hence for those going during the comeback week, it's recommended you bring your laptop along so as to be able to make your own ringtone at your own convenience.

I will be explaining how the categories work now.
As mention earlier, without an item, you will drop to a lower category.
So even if you may arrive very early to the address of the music show, but if you're missing one item and the next person in line has more items than you, he/she will be placed ahead of you instead. Upon arrival at the timing indicated for the event on daum cafe, the fan managers will then request you to take out all the necessary materials. Obviously, those that arrive early will get priority first. So for example, one that has all the items and is the first to arrive will be marked 1-1, and the second in line will be marked 1-2. Hence, there's a first come first serve basis involve as well.
( 1-1 is usually impossible to get as there are some REALLY REALLY PASSIONATE fans that will queue really early)

The fan staff/manager will mark on your wrist or on a paper of your choosing, to indicate what category you're in.
After you're marked, stick around the area for a bit to see what else the fan manager have to say, then after which, you can go for a toilet break after he/she is done aligning the rest of the fans.

Please don't make a fuss over small issues, such as you've queued for a long time but can't get in due to the number of tickets given blah blah blah, because ultimately, you're in another country and it will be wise to put on your best behavior as a fan. You do not want to give them a bad impression that you're a black sheep. The fan staff/ managers as far as I know are pretty nice, so long as you don't piss them off.

There are times where by the number of tickets given by music shows to the fan managers will not be enough to let all the fans in. Hence, it will be best if you get the highest possible category to guarantee your seat.

Locations of music shows and timing to be there will be indicated on the event page of their daum cafe and you can google how to find the place with not much of an issue.

Last but not least, enjoy the show and cheer loudly for your idols whenever they come on.

If there's any questions, you can leave your queries on this thread or tweet me @CornOppa instead. My advice is to do both since I won't come to TD often and that other folks here may have the answer for you as well. If I don't reply to you on twitter either, pester the hell out of me, because I'm too lazy to respond sometimes.

There's a first for everything, so I hope I help you guys enough to make your first trip to Korea enjoyable. 뿡뿡!

LordNoodles got a reaction from CptFantasy in [SPAZZ] I'm going to Korea. T-ara is coming back. HELP ME SEE THEM!
Hello everyone, I am LordNoodles, aka Ethan, and some of you may know me from my tons of unboxing videos (Shameless plug here), or most likely, from Shoutbox. I was planning a trip to Korea with a friend, to see another friend who's teacher there. Yay! Trip to Korea! Then, to my great fortune, T-ARA'S COMING BACK OMG YISSSSS.
BUT. I have no idea what I'm doing. Right now my life is a chaotic mess of 5 jobs working 80+ hours a week in our busiest time of year for the student move ins (I live in a college town and work with student rentals). Obviously, I have like no time with all that work. I stop working soon though, just an end to my job. I need to do research, but why reinvent the wheel when we have a community here?
Tonight was the first time in a little bit I've been able to log on and chitchat a little bit, but I've decided for anything worthwhile, I want to be able to access it in the future (so not on shoutbox or a chat thing).

SO, what I need to know:
-How do I go about seeing T-ara live or whatnot? those live shows and promotions
-If you've had experience, can you detail me in what you did?
-Do you have any friendly contacts in Korea to help me over there?
    -Any travel tips in general?
    Details of my trip:
-I fly in Sept 22ish, Central time (-5 GMT)
-I leave 2 weeks later to Taiwan (I have lots of family over there) I am given the luxury of time and a freer schedule.
-I'm supposed to see and stay with the friend in Daegu (Yes some 4 hours away) but I am okay with adventuring on my own (She is best taken in doses).

[13.10.15] "This is not our comeback. This is our re-debut with our six original members."

The past year was an eventful year for T-ara. Frequent activities, events, and more, but also all kinds of rumors and malicious comments that are countless. After promoting nonstop for four years, it seems like everything they had worked for was lost over the past year. They had a lot of opportunities in their career, but instead they just watched what they had already end.

On the 14th, T-ara met in a cafe in Gangnam to discuss this as well as their new comeback album released on the 10th. Despite all of this, T-ara were still smiling and satisfied with the result of their promotions so far.

"The response to our new album was better than we expected. We worried and talked about how the public would view us every day. It made us anxious, but we were all united to become better (as a group.)"

Despite various times they felt bitter about their controversy, all members admitted they have matured. Instead of promoting with the goal of #1 in mind, T-ara promoted with the thought of rewarding the fans who still believed in them. "We did in a way lose our original intentions. We weren't proud when this event had occurred. It made us realize how important our parents, family, friends and staff members are; and above all, it made us realize how important our members are.

T-ara will soon be into their fifth year of promotions since their debut. The members of T-ara have gone through many toxic changes. T-ara answered why they frequently changed their group. "Honestly, it's true of most idol groups. Our agency is full of staff who are experts and know what to do. The process (of changing members) helped us show better sides of us."

T-ara has gone back to year one. Their goal is simple. T-ara want to be loved every moment they can and do their best without regrets. They want to go back as soon as possible to the place they used to hold in their fan's hearts. "We think about how the past year was really difficult, but we were able to learn. It was a necessary time for T-ara."

Going to the broadcast station, meeting fans, and reading online articles.. they will keep this thought in mind. Yesterday, today, and tomorrow. "We will never lose the thoughts of beginners. We returned with our original six members with our hearts set as rookies. It's not a comeback. We feel like it's out debut again. T-ara will continue to work re~aally hard in the future."
