About Me

So a lot of crap has happened between 7/30 to today. I've been doing a lot of arguing and posting recently and I'd like to put most of the more important ones here so I can remember them and pull them up again for future reference.

[POLL] Bullying - True or Not?

[HWAISM] Should Hwayoung rejoin T-ara or not?

[12.08.01] An industry insider says, "Hwayoung was crying outside T-ara's waiting room unable to enter"

[12.07.31] Kim Kwangsoo, "Hwayoung and Hyoyoung's parents understand my decision" Another important comment from there

--- [7/30 edit]
So we all know the news. Hwayoung has officially left T-ara. Here's parts of my reaction posted in that thread:

"I don't know what I should be feeling right now. As a T-ara fan, I feel devastated that Hwayoung isn't part of T-ara anymore (and she finally got a bunch of lines in DBD). Both Hwayoung and T-ara (it hurts just to have to put them in separate categories now) are going to be changed, no doubt. What will happen when Dani comes in? What will happen to Hwareum, my now ex-OTP that I came to love only recently? If Hwayoung is the first out, what will happen to members like Boram and Qri, who don't have many lines or popularity?

However, as a Hwayoung fan, I feel even more torn. Although her career in T-ara is over, that also means her career under KKM is over. And may I stress the fact that KKM is a douchebag and the worst excuse of a goddamn CEO in the history of Kpop who is money driven and doesn't even listen or take in consideration the opinions of his employee and works them way too hard and is an extremely sketchy person that contradicts himself and makes us wait three fucking days and still left us confused and trashes Hwa's image only to say he won't trash it anymore to "protect her" a bad CEO. I really hope she goes to another company, a better company, that actually knows how to treat their artists correctly. Hopefully she'll be able to get back on her feet again (both literally and figuratively) and continue doing what she loves, whether it be staying in the music industry or leaving the music industry. And I swear, if she does leave music behind, you can be sure that my hate for KKM will ignite."

-.-.-.-.-

After posting that, the battle between Hwayoung and KKM has continued. Hwayoung has said only one thing on her Twitter: "...facts without truth". CCM, on the other hand, has been spewing stories, lies, and contradictions left and right.

"we have nothing but sadness to convey such an unsettling incident on their third anniverary. We also apologize again to the T-ara members and wish Hwayoung all the best as a powerful rapper," CCM continued, "since Hwayoung has great potential as a rapper we decided to end her contract without conditions and we believe that she will grow into the future as a free artist."
Da Fuq? If you have nothing but sadness, then why are you cutting her in the first place you contradicting douche. If she is such a powerful rapper, why'd you add her only to send her away a year and a half later? What? You're ending her contract without conditions so she'll grow as a free artist? Are you just trying to make yourself look better, look 'nicer' than the jerk you obviously are? The only think he got right was that she's finally able to be a free artist, because working in CCM sounds like a mix of hell and prison.

So previously, CCM (KKM) claims that Hwayoung refused to perform on 120727's Music Bank.
Keep in mind that that was after the concert and the day everything happened. If Hwayoung really was being bullied, why the hell would she want to perform on the same stage as them? If something was happening behind the curtains at that point, and Hwayoung had enough, I have nothing else to say. Of course, maybe it could be a lie or it could be the truth. Or it could be KKM twisting the words and the incident so it bends in his favor.

CCM also states "On the way home, Hwayoung, in front of fans and reporters, threw down her crutches and sat on the floor, threatening to yell at the managers in public. It has also been revealed that Hwayoung has shown both fans and reporters a similar side to her, with unacceptable actions and behavior on the set of 'Music Bank'.
Give me the whole story and I'll accept this story. and I mean the whole fucking story. No beating around the bush, no omitting anything, no adding anything, no rose-tinted glass. We don't know what happened previously. We don't know the cause of her outburst. If you honk and speed on the roads, people are going to get pissed at you. If you have a dying person and can't wait for an ambulance and you honk and speed on the roads, people are going to get pissed at you. Why? Because they don't know the whole story.

"CCM CEO Kim Kwang Soo stated, "We will not be revealing any more of Hwayoung's similar behaviors outside of the 'Music Bank' incident because we do want to protect her. I am also sorrowed by the words left on Hwayoung's Twitter.""
First of all, may I remind you this is coming from CEO Kim Kwang Soo himself. So, undoubtedly, what he says is going to be a lie or something stupid. And it is. If you want to protect someone, you don't say those things in the first place. Stop trying to cover your ass with those sugared words.
Someone on that thread said "CCM releases a story making Hwayoung look horrible and unprofessional, and then ends by saying they won't reveal anymore, to "protect" her. That's like shooting someone in the leg, then telling them you won't shoot them a second time, because you don't want them to get hurt." I couldn't have said it any better.
And then he says he's 'sorrowed'? Hell yeah he is, but for the wrong reason. KKM, you're fucking 'sorrowed' because it's making a mess for you. You aren't 'sorrowed' for Hwayoung, you're 'sorrowed' that your image is being ruined and that you have to clean up the mess that you started.

Here's some stuff from a " quick interview with South Korean media outlet Ilgan Sports.

IS: The press release is a bit vague. It seems to have actually inflated the controversy.
KKM: I can't reveal everything. It's the least amount of courtesy for the departing member. Please think carefully about who will be hurt if the truth is revealed." Courtesy? Courtesy? You take her off T-ara, try to take down her image, make a total douche of yourself, and you're talking about courtesy? Stop taking shortcuts and running away and tell us straight. But wait, 'who will be hurt if the truth is revealed'? You. Yes, the truth will undoubtedly hurt Hwayoung and T-ara. There's no avoiding that. But who will crash and burn the hardest? You. You and your goddamn ruthless company.

"IS: The problems with the staff was also in the official press release. What kind of problems existed?
KKM: I don't want to go into detail, nor do I want to make personal attacks. But the staff were very tired after driving for the entire night and taking care of hair and makeup. There were several managers who cried, saying they wanted to quit. Although the artists are important, I believe that the sweat and tears of the staff are equally as important. I could not stand by watching this destruction of teamwork any longer."
Okay. The staff are very tired from driving and taking care of hair and make up. What are their jobs again? Plenty of T-ara have gotten hurt, fainted, had to take IV drips. Do they understand that that's the type of shit you gotta deal with when you enter showbiz? You wanna quit? Then go ahead. I'm sure smart-ass Kwangsoo wouldn't mind replacing you. There are so many artists that have wanted to quit, that have contemplated suicide. Did they? No. Because they wanted to achieve their dreams. When they hit their lowest point, that's when they worked the hardest. Not when they point fingers at others. You couldn't stand seeing their 'destruction of teamwork', so you take a member out of the team? Does that even make sense? To make a team's teamwork stronger, you don't break apart the team.

"IS:If you go into a little more detail, would that not quell the controversy?
KKM: There were so many issues, but I really do not want to shed light on any of them, so I am keeping quiet. There were many examples of yelling at the members and breaking down the teamwork. How would the T-ara members feel, who had trained for over three years? In order to not inflate this issue any further, I hope (Hwayoung) stays quiet."
I didn't bold any of KKM's words. Wanna know why? Because I would end up bolding everything. Everything about this answer irks me. If you don't want to 'shed light' on them, why say 'there were many examples of yelling at the members and breaking down the teamwork'? First of all, they're very vague. Second, what group doesn't yell at each other when they spend over a year and a half with each other? If you want to point out how many times Hwayoung has yelled at her members, you might as well point out how many times each of the other members have yelled at each other.
Also, KKM again refers to teamwork. Seriously, what's wrong with his logic. No, his common sense. To have teamwork, you need a full team dumbass.
"How would the T-ara members feel, who had trained for over three years?" Really? You're going to bring that up? Then why did you put Hwayoung in the group in the first place? And how long did Boram and Qri train for again? And now you're going to let Dani join too? Remind me again how long Dani has trained.
The part that irks me the most is his last sentence. Am I the only one that read that as a threat? Or is it so painfully obvious? The part that I absolutely detest about the way KKM works, is that he has so much dirt on those working/worked for him. It's like he's saying, "Hwayoung, just because you aren't in my company, that doesn't mean I can't ruin you anyways. The moment you reveal the truth, I'll find a way to drag you down with me."

Now then, let's move on to the full press release from CCM. (link)

The first parts are pretty talking about the "bullying rumors". CCM basically says that T-ara's 'bullying' is false and refers to back when T-ara debuted, saying, "Early after their debut, T-ara went through many reports of several members being bullied (such as Eunjung, Soyeon, or Boram) but that was simply childish jealousy which did not pass two days, and they soon grew closer together." Yes, but three years have passed and 'childish jealousy' can still remain. And this was way back during 6-ara, before Hwayoung entered. There is also a part that says, "Again, I stress that there was no bullying taking place between the T-ara members and Hwayoung and all such reports are without truth." Okay. So then why did CCM say all their Twitter accounts were hacked, and then say that 'The difference in 'determination' that the T-ara members have talked about did not mean whether or not the members could stand on stage.' So you admit that their accounts were in fact not hacked and that you admit you lied? Because that's all they say on the whole 'bullying' part.

Then CCM makes the wrong move and says, "The most important thing for the staff members and the artists is their health. Only if their body is healthy can they put on a good performance." Alright. So. Does anyone have the list of all the injuries T-ara has attained since their debut? Is anyone else keeping count of how many times we hear about them getting rush to hospitals, fainting, being tired, and getting only two or three hours of sleep?

"If those people feel sadness due to a certain celebrity, or decide to seek another path because they feel that what they're doing isn't right, then the T-ara who gives happiness and joy to many people are nothing more than facades in front of the audience." If the celebrity feels sadness, ill, pressured, or threatened due to a certain CEO, or decide to leave the company because they feel their CEO is a douche and company is horrible, then the Company/CEO who gives stories and lies to many people are nothing more than facades that no one in the audience believes. Tadaa.

"Earlier, I mentioned during T-ara's switch from 7 to 9 members that the possibility of member changes existed for those who did not work hard enough or inflicted damage upon other members.
If T-ara becomes lazy or puts themselves first, then the group will become empty on the inside. Therefore, the first priority would be humility, basic manners, and their character."
Do you really want me to point out all the flaws here? "Looking at the articles, there are rumors going on, but we've never had talks of replacing members" was mentioned on a previous thread. And now..."Earlier, I mentioned during T-ara's switch from 7 to 9 members that the possibility of member changes" No. Actually, no you did not. Those were rumors that your own company put down.

"...changes existed for those who did not work hard enough or inflicted damage upon other members. If T-ara becomes lazy or puts themselves first, then the group will become empty on the inside. Therefore, the first priority would be humility, basic manners, and their character." Are you really going there? Hwayoung got pelvis problems for practicing too much and you're saying she ain't working hard enough? Are you really trying to bring her image down in such a subtly obvious way? Are you saying that she's lazy, selfish, unmanned and has a bad character? Then why the fuck is KKM even in your company? He's the epitome of all that.

And you know what CCM? It's too late. "That is the only way I feel T-ara will continue to become a true Hallyu idol." Well they aren't. Not any time soon, not for years to come. This isn't the type of thing you can sweep under the rug. This is more than a ripple in the Hallyu world. Do you see how much fuss this has caused? You've killed them. Their popularity is sinking.

Woah, I've been editing a lot more recently. Ahem. Anyways.
So recently, there's been a lot of heat concerning some Twitter posts by T-ara. After looking it up, I just feel so...conflicted. And then there's still antimony in the fandom; should I accept the new member or not? Recently, I've been thinking. Should I just leave this fandom? I never thought I would doubt T-ara and Queen's like this...I just...I...I don't know. It's late, and my family is scolding for me to go to sleep. I'll edit this later.
/Sigh/

To everyone worrying about Dani replacing Jiyeon and stuff:
1. Jiyeon is THE most popular in T-ara. Honestly, I feel like Jiyeon is the strongest pillar in T-ara.
2. Just because Dani is also pretty, that doesn't mean that Jiyeon is suddenly ugly. We all know how beautiful Jiyeon is, why are you guys doubting that all of a sudden?
3. Jiyeon has been a maknae for how many years now? She's now a gorgeous grown lady and she gets to be an unnie now.

After reading comments around the web, I've been loving the additions more and more <3

People are saying that Areum is unneeded because 7-ara already has Soyeon, Eunjung, and Hyomin. But honestly, who's doing all the high notes recently? Soyeon. Who's having the most lines? Soyeon. And I (and probably many other Queen's) are worried even more when she's sick or her throat hurts becuase she's pretty much singing all the songs. I think Areum may be able to help out a little more (although other fans may disagree and say that "she's taking all the lines!" and stuff).

On Dani's profile, it says that she's a rapper. I honestly had no idea how to react. I mean, they already have Hyomin and Eunjung and especially Hwayoungie. Maybe she'll be rapping the english? Haha, no idea on that part, we'll have to wait until she officially debuts. However, she does show talent in acting. If she acts in some dramas or sitcoms or something she could bring more fans to T-ara. Her age can also bring in younger fans (I personally love her because she's closer to my age).
Quite frankly, I don't mind her being immature and cute off stage as long as it doesn't hurt the rest of T-ara. She's got nice aegyo and she might bring out another side of T-ara motherly? sisterly? We've all seen her in DBD MV and she's able to act pretty mature. Rammie is really cute and looks young, so you can't really tell the difference at a glance.

If you're complaining about Boram and Qri not getting any lines because of them, please stop. Even before these members came, they didn't have many lines. Jiyeon doesn't get many lines either but that doesn't stop her from being the most popular member of T-ara. Yes, getting lines in a song helps a bit, but there are many other ways to gain popularity.

Gasp! What? You're actually going to put something here?!
Yep, felt like actually adding something to my profile today. Because. Y'know. I seriously need to vent. About the 2 newest members (mostly Dani). And how some fans are reacting. Yup.

If you hate Dani/the additions to T-ara or if you're bashing them, please leave. I really don't want any arguments or for you to feel the need to defend yourself. I also don't want you to dislike the additions even more. Thank you for understanding.

Here's a bit of background before I begin:

My history: When the news came out, I hated it too. I hated it with a passion. But then I saw some very stupid and illogical hate comments online, and realized that those comments mirrored my thoughts exactly. I discovered that all this hating was unneeded and, quite frankly, a stupid waste of time and energy. Me, being arrogant, didn't want to be another trolling/hating idiot, and decided to stay neutral.
As I continued seeing mindless hating comments, I decided to support these girls. Was it pity? Maybe. Or maybe it was that tiny tiny thing in the corner of my mind called my conscience. It screamed to me that their actions did not amount to so much hate in return. I have no idea why, but I felt this rush of protectiveness for these girls. So here I am now, (ironically) wasting my time and energy into loving these girls. Ah well. I suppose I'd rather be a fangirling idiot than a trolling/hating idiot :D

So yeah. I like the two newest members so far. Yeah, there are bits I really really don't like. But it evens out. If you've seen my comments around here, you'd realize that. Also, although I mention occurrences of certain comments, I do not put names in. I did that for a reason. I do not wish for anyone to be in the hot seat.
I try to be open to opinions, but I too have my limits. I am human after all.

Also, after rereading and looking through later comments, I'm relieved that some of us are so much more accepting/not bashing. I would like to thank all the Queens' who are understanding enough to at least not hate them. Thank you so much.
.

/Beginning rant/

I've been seeing comments about plans to take action against the change; Boycotting their upcoming album. Not supporting their upcoming album. Mobbing KKM headquarters. More.
Really? Mother Fucking Really? Yes, I want to try and look at things from your point of view. Yes, I really really want to try and find even a tiny hint of logic there. But you know what? I can't. I just can't.
As amazing and hardworking T-ara is, I don't even know if they can survive a flop album.Yes, they are pretty high up there in the market, but their position isn't as stable as we'd like. The slightest hint of slack can be fatal in the kpop industry, especially at such a crucial time. If anything, we should double our effort. T-ara has already lost so much support already, why contribute to that decreasing amount?
One of the things I really think some Queen's need to understand is that you can't support 7-ara without supporting the newest members too anymore. I guess you can try to support only them, but will it work? I doubt it. To all you haters that need to get a life, here are some ideas:
Go only to 7-ara during fansignings. Only cheer for 7-ara during their performances. But guess what?
Guess who'll be even more ecstatic when she gets to sign someone's album? Guess who's going to win the hearts of the younger kpop fans who'll be able to connect better with her because she's also young? Guess who's going to sign each and every precious fan's item even more carefully and thoroughly?
Guess who's going to have even more dedicated fans to cheer for her during the performances. Guess who's getting the loudest cheers to make up for the missing ones? Guess. I dare you.

Before "taking action" against the newest members, I would like you to sit down and think. Who is that really helping? Is your selfish denial going to help your oh-so-precious 7-ara in the end? Which will help them more, grudgingly supporting them months after the newer members have debuted and T-ara's promotions have ended, or supporting them from the very beginning. Which will help more, voting for any group but the now nine-membered T-ara and not supporting them and not hoping for their success and winning, or voting for them ever single chance you get and hoping for their success. Are you going to damn the entire T-ara to failure just because you don't like two members?

Do you throw out an entire box of crayons because you don't like two of the colors? If throw out two of the colors, you can't make a beautiful rainbow because you'll always be short two shades. If you refuse to use two colors, and only use the other crayons, the crayons you use will become dull and the two you refused to use will still be new.

I want to make it clear that if I had the power to change the decision before it was put out to the public, I would change it without hesitation. Yes, they should have put them in another group. Yes, Dani should have trained more. Yes, Dani's really young. Yes, I also have no idea how she's going to fit in. I don't know if KKM was drunk, not in their right minds, or what, but I cannot even fathom why they would make this decision. I dunno, maybe there is something behind closed doors that we don't know yet. Maybe these additions are godly amazing. But I really have no idea.

However, the decision is made. The only way it would be revoked was if something serious happened to them or if they withdrew themselves. If something serious did happen to them, hmm. I wonder. Where would the heads turn?
Honestly, I get so fucking disgusted when I see death threats toward anyone. And, trust me, I've read some pretty harsh threats on the internet; I am part Sone after all.
Yes, I understand that it's part of the industry for all that to happen. Jay Park left 2PM. There have been plenty of stories about singers, actresses, etc committing suicide. News articles about some artists regretting joining the industry, or having intense stress related to their work come up more than often. But just because it happens, does that mean it's okay? Does that mean that some of that stress, some of those hateful comments, can't be decreased? Does that mean it's suddenly okay for you to bash repetitively on someone?
For example. I'm sure we've all been bullied to some degree. Yes, it could have only been a sentence. Maybe only a day. But it still hurt. And you probably still remember it. Some people were unfortunate and were bullied daily. Yes it happens all the time. Yes people commit suicide because of it. Yes it's on the news all the time. But because it happens all around you, it's okay? Just because there are already five teenagers taking turns punching that kid in the face, one more won't hurt too much? Just because someone already poured a bucket of dirty mop water on that kid's head, a half empty cup of juice won't make much of a difference?

As I said earlier, another way for the decision to be revoked it the members themselves revoked. You want to hear something funny? If they join, they're bashed for just standing next to T-ara. If they leave, they'll be bashed for being weak and cowardly, or for being too "arrogant", thinking they could make it. But really, how could any of us can fully understand the pain of the Korean entertainment industry until we join it? "Weak and Cowardly"? Read every single comment against them, no matter how shallow, mindless, illogical, or just plain stupid the comments are. Then change their name for yours. Tell me, can you really sit there and read every single one without feeling anything? Do you even know anyone who could? Obviously, Dani knows how unwanted she is in T-ara. I'm already impressed she's still wanting to stay in T-ara. I would have high-tailed it out of there after the first week. Hmm...Actually. Does she really want to join anymore? I wonder if she cries every fucking night. I wonder how happy and giddy she feels after reading a page full of death threats, complaints, bashing...all to her. She must be jumping up and down in happiness.

Really, it wouldn't matter if she was 14 or if she was 27. And I quote,
"A fourteen year old- no, a soon to debut artist can only take so much hate before breaking down. This applies to all artists, no matter the age."
You know the saying "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me"? That saying is fucked up, and we all know it. I think who ever made that saying messed up. The saying should have been : "Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will break my soul, my heart, and everything other than my bones".

So, lets say she did withdraw, and let's all be completely honest here. "How will that reflect on T-ara and us Queen's?" I said this on a previous thread. Some people happen to interpret this in a way I didn't intend. "T-ara won't change, Queens won't change, nothing will change". That might be true. Queens may not change. T-ara's on-screen persona may not change. But I must disagree that nothing will change. Something will, whether large or small. This, all this commotion, isn't something that can just be swept under a carpet and over with.
When I say reflect, I didn't mean how all of this will change us and the girls. I meant how this entire ordeal has and may change how others see us if they withdraw. Already, other netizens have noticed the comments and the reactions from Queens. Trust me, they've noticed how the fandom is splitting. To be blunt, I believe that this fandom is going to stay split until each and every one of us Queen's join one side. And I am not going to change sides. If they withdraw, the needle of blame will immediately point to us, like a magnet. It doesn't matter if she actually withdrew for family reasons, for medical reasons, whatever. It doesn't matter if the real reason is something random and has nothing to do with anything. The needle will point toward us. And we will be seen as a fandom who can't accept change.
After School, for example. All "Playgirlz and Playboyz" must accept the "graduation and enrollment" system. Yes, some of them are sad, but almost every fan still supports and loves them nonetheless. Countless groups have changed members. Yes, there was dispute and unhappiness in the fandom, similar to the stage this fandom is in now, but they got over it and grew to love their group anyway. We're in the warring stage, can't we get over it too?

/End rant/

.
I understand that my rant will annoy a bunch of you, and I'm sure it won't change your mind. I'm sorry.
However, I'm actually pleasantly surprised that someone was willing to waste their time listening (er, reading...) my thoughts. So thank you ^^ Although it might not have changed anything, I hope parts of it got you thinking.

I never knew there was a "like" option for comments. For those who "liked" my comment in one of the threads, thank you so much~ I'm glad that I'm not the only one who had that opinion...Haha, I think I've scared away people with this uber long rant...I'm sorry TTvTT

aurgh, it's already midnight where I live...but I couldn't sleep with all this on my mind...
