Sadly, as much as I hate the guy, I think I have to give it to KKS on this one. This is a pretty smart move.
Doing a sub-unit it a pretty smart move to test the waters with the Korean public, they've filled it with some of the most popular member from the past who had the most exposure to give the sub-unit the greatest chance of success along with a new member who can't really be associated with any scandals and if it's successful it'll both win back the populace as well as show people how hard-working/talented/whatever-they-need-to-see the members of T-ara are and thus greasing the wheels for a full group comeback. However, if the sub-unit doesn't do so well CCM can always blame it on the fact that it's just a sub-unit and not representative of the whole and simply take a bit to step back and re-evaluate how to mend T-ara's reputation.t
Anyways, I hope it goes well. Plus I think this all, in my mind anyways, both explains the point of this and why we haven't seen Dani yet (or never would be fine too, haha) because it's just to early to add another unknown.

The sub-unit rumors weren't necessarily proven to be false...it could have been that CCM just wasn't ready for the news to be announced yet, and obviously the mention of Double Sidekick being the primary producer was incorrect. The girls are sticking with Shinsadong Tiger for their producer for the track.
And yes, Hwayoung was expelled from the group, but of course they aren't going to put that in their official announcement for this sub-unit. Which sounds better, being expelled or withdrawing from the group? Haha.
Like someone else in this thread said, "Rural Life" sounds like it could be a very rough translation at this point, so who knows? Or maybe it has to do with their concept. Either way, it sounds intriguing, and with Shinsadong Tiger behind it you know it's going to be a catchy, glittery dance-pop song.
As far as the press release stating that it will "mend people's hearts," it's more or less saying that this is CCM's way of slowly reintroducing the group back into the public eye. At one point, EunJiMin were the group's three most popular members, so of course CCM wants to remind people of why they were considered the holy trinity in the first place, and Areum is the new kid in town, so she's in the unit to get more exposure as well.
Ultimately, it's like some people were saying...I don't think T-ara really has anything to lose in Korea at this point. People are going to hate regardless of what they do, but people will also still buy their music and support them if their output is good. Just look at Sexy Love, it may have not done as well as their past releases, but they put out arguably one of the best songs of their careers and killed their performances, and the song did pretty damn good. I think this sub-unit is a good way of testing the waters, so to speak, and I'm sure that it doesn't hurt that sub-units are the big thing in K-Pop right now, like you said; if this goes well, we'll get a song from the full group in a month or two, and if it fails, we'll have a bit longer to wait than we thought. I'm inclined to believe that it will do well though.

Rural life sounds like a really sloppy translation unless there's another meaning the word rural haha
But either way, I'm really excited for this. Hopefully it will exceed expectations and will actually do achieve their goal of making another national dance!

After a 15-city promotional tour in Japan, T-ara has returned to Korea.

T-ara departed for Japan on February 20th and toured over 15 locations including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, Sapporo and Fukoka. On the 10th, they came back to Korea.

In the 15 showcases in front of Japanese fans, T-ara caught the attention of over 100,000 fans and met with the Japanese fans to give them cards.

Hyomin was unable to attend the showcases because she is filming for the movie "Jinx" in Japan.

On the 14th, T-ara will depart at 5:15 PM for a Bangkok concert.

From the begining we knew Eunjung had done nothing wrong to deserve that low and unprofessional treatment from SBS and Yeil E&M. The worst part is that something so horrible happened to someone like Eunjung who is well known to sacrifice herself because of the people she loves and her professional responsabilities.

Now they want to "apologize"? Why NOW? why not when Five fingers was still being airing? Why did they made up a low excuse such as Eunjung supposedly didn´t want to wear sponsored clothes? Why not, when Eunjung was crying locked by herself with depression?

And this "Sincere" apology finishes asking KEMA to withdrawal of the case and stop the boycott of YeIn E&M dramas for 2 years? is that a sincere apology?

And now HOW are they going to give Eunjung back what they took away from her? not only money(I think they must pay with money too), but her reputation, the menthal damage and the possible consecuences then and from now after such a big shock and depression?

i hope KEMA, says something like... we are happy they apologize and show the truth about Eunjung that is totally innocent and the only thing she did was prepare for her role as much as she could.
Ok apology acepted and now take your time to pay for what you did. KEMA will not take away the boycot...

i hope this news spread so much as the stupid xxxxing rumours that run so fast in Korean media and this can bring some dignity back to Eunjung, i hope this makes some produccers and TVs to stop being affraid to ask her to work for them, because from T-ara´s stupid and false rumours the one who lost the most and who suffered worst was HAM EUNJUNG. And she did n´t desereve that, time can´t go back that´s sad i hope time give her back what she lost.

i love boram's voice. cant wait to buy the albums. i'll definitely buy the ones with boram and hyomin first. cant buy all at the same time. too much T_T. luckily the prices are not too high considering they are japanese versions.

They don't think about how they "will restore her reputation and try our best to remedy the damage" (#6).

Trying to save face are we Yeln E&M. Such a pathetic bunch of losers. I mean I really don't like dramas but the fact is what they pulled with EJ really is lame. getting canned for no good reason, all because of a bunch of antis who had no idea what are they talking about in the first place. They got out of this way to easy, I just hope they've learned their lesson.
