Eunjung whose pure smile is her charm. At the same time T-ARA’s Chinese activities are proceeding successfully, she was casted in a Thai movie, putting a start to global activities.
Having had survived tough times long time ago, the present time is very precious and valuable to her. She stood in front of the camera giving off a mature and feminine feel to her, she was full of anticipation and excitement.
Although T-ara’s splendid image on stage is charming enough, Eunjung, individually, has her own endless charms as well. T-ARA are now travelling around Asia, but T-ARA and Eunjung’s future that’s to extend not only in Asia but throughout the world, how far will it go?
Q. Your thoughts on this photoshoot.
This is my 3rd photoshoot with BNT. Photoshoots are always fun. Last time I took the photoshoot with pilates as a concept, but this time it feels like a fashion pictorial, it was a pleasant and fun (experiment).
Q. Your recent news?
As T-ARA, we released a Korean album on August in the midst of our China concert tour. Independently, I sang the OST for the T-ara web-drama that’s soon to be released. And the song has been out.
Q. That solo track charted no.1 in China.
The song wasn’t a promoted song since it was just an OST but it still received love in China, it’s very thrilling. I’m both moved and baffled. No matter what, I think being in T-ARA put me in advantage.
Q. Do you regularly check the charts?
Fans send it to me. They let me know of the news through weibo or instagram.
Q. How was the reaction to your solo track?
The song itself is very calm and lyrical. I think that I had quiet promotions matching with the mood of the song, but it was also an opportunity in which I personally got to upgrade myself. I felt that standing alone on stage is really something.

Q. Girl group DIA, they came out as the 2nd T-ARA.
I think they’re showing a yet different charm compared to us when we debuted. I, of course, wish them the best, but their colour right now is charming enough so I hope that they become the 1st DIA rather than the 2nd T-ARA. I believe they can gain people’s love through their own colour that’s different than T-ARA’s.
For T-ara, I think having had funky and exciting music and having tried out various concepts, including funny ones that are hard for girl groups to digest, is our own charm. For DIA, they’re all pretty and fresh so I think they will be able to gain enough love from everyone.
Q. For T-ARA, what comes to mind first when seeing girl groups debuting.
Seeing how restless and nervous they are, we can relate a lot to them. We want to encourage them and pat them.
Q. 7 years with the members. You’re like family.
Even if we stay apart for a while, it still feels like we only saw each other yesterday. Even when we don’t necessarily talk, we still know each other’s personalities and preferences well, so it feels like we’re sisters.
Q. Do you ever feel that the reaction of the Korean public has started to improve (towards T-ARA).
I’m not sure. We always feel that our fans are strongly protecting our position, we’re always thankful. I think it’s not right to think in advance of what image and what kind of activities should we do to receive love. If we just work hard and silently then there will be a time where we can be likeable. I think whether people like me or dislike me, it’s not something I can argue about. We’re only in the position to receive the choice, so I believe it’s all up to the public. Rather than having any deep thoughts, I think our job is to just silently carry out with any work given to us.
Q. In contrast, do you find it tiring to think that (the public) still carries hate for T-ARA.
I never have such thoughts. Since the public’s love also determines the popularity, I think it’s a given that we’re at the mercy of the public’s choice.
Q. Do you read the comment from time to time?
I used to check them out a lot in the past but now not as much. I used to go through all the comments before but lately I stop after just reading few.
Q. If they upset you, how do you govern yourself?
If they’re saying something right then I’d prepare to take the next step that matches with (what they’re saying). If the content is something I can’t possibly prepare for then I’d just ignore it. Since I’m the type to comply and accept easily, I quickly prepare for the next step to take.
Q. We heard you got cast in a Thai movie.
It’s called ‘Micro Love’, the filming starts early November. I’m co-starring with a very popular star in Thailand. He’s very gentle and also good at acting. If you look it up, there are many Thai movies that ended up being well-received in Korea too. I’m looking forward to it. You can think of it as a drama with romance rather than the melodrama you’re familiar with.
Q. How is dialogue like?
It’s a big problem. 10% Thai, 20% Korean, and up to 70% English. Since I’m a native Korean, it’s making me so worried. Not so long ago, a fan gifted me a Thai book. I should appreciate her kindness and start diligently studying (the Thai language).

Q. A while ago, Min Kyunghoon choosing you as his ideal type became a hot topic.
Ah, really? That was from 4~5 years ago, who knew it’d suddenly became a topic now. How is Sunbae doing? (laughs). I should thank him since I became a hot topic thanks to him.
Q. What is your ideal type?
Someone who’s passionate in his work, sensible, and courteous. I don’t pay attention to the physical appearance.
Q. You might not even have time to date due your overseas activities.
I believe that one day, I can do everything even if I’m busy.
Q. How did you date before.
If we’re busy then according to our schedules. Although it can cause a handicap (to the relationship) since we’re always busy. I think I had an apologetic dating life.
Q. Even if you’re busy, you still make a beautiful girlfriend.
That’s not evrything about it. What I feel more as I grow older is that looks are not everything. Getting along well and having a good flow of conversation is the best.
Q. What do you do when you’re stressed?
I either stay and do nothing or do the things I like. I like exercising, playing with my puppy, and hanging out with my friends. Or learning something new.
Q. With what exercise do you maintain your body?
I do pilates and PT together.
Q. You must be good at Chinese by now.
I think my accent has improved a little but it’s still a long way to go. I learn through video lectures since I don’t have time.
Q. A remarkable role that remains in your memory the most?
Dream High remains in my memory as it brought me so much love, but character-wise, Queen Insoo was the most remarkable. I usually like historical dramas regardless of their language, but nevertheless, I was given a role that’s originally hard for an idol to digest. At that time, the actors and staff were all generously kind to me, and even when I caused inconvenience due to my leg injury, they still showed so much consideration. On the other hand, I don’t think I’ve ever been as busy as I was during that time.

Q. The job of a singer has a short lifespan, have you ever thought of until when will you be able to continue being a singer?
I think the job of a singer and the job of an actress are the same. However, as long as there are people who still look for me and fans who still support me then I can continue singing and acting, as they’re jobs I want to do and can do.
Q. When will we be able to see your Korean activities again?
This time, we want to prepare thoroughly and carefully then show ourselves. If we start preparing bit by bit then we will be able to meet you by next year.
Q. What’s your goal.
I want to continue receiving fans’ love just like now, and want to repay that love as well. I’m happy just the way things are right now. I hope to continue having activities and hope that my members and families stay healthy. There are many sad and chaotic news lately, but I hope there are only good things around.
Q. When people in the future recall ‘Hahm Eunjung’, how do you wish to be remembered as?
I want to be remembered as someone who worked hard and was sincere. I’m willing to put in my all just to hear “She was so fine”. Just that one sentence is great.
Q. Until now, I don’t think there’s any group who’s as popular as T-ara during their prime.
We always talk amongst ourselves about how lucky we were. Even for our Chinese advancement, we rode on the Hallyu wave that was increasing due to Korean dramas. We luckily ended up gaining popularity in China and started receiving attention not only for our songs but also for our fashion, makeup, etc. I believe that wouldn’t have been easy if not for our seniors paving the way for us.
Q. A word to your fans.
For our Korean fans, they watch over us and support us like our parents so we always feel reassured and thankful. We don’t even know how to express our thankfulness. For our Japanese fans, they would always come to our concerts even in different countries and show us lots of support, it gives us strength. We never thought that we’d be able to hold a tour before but we’re really thankful for the love Chinese fans show us. Our fans in other countries too always cheer on us together regardless of their nationality, it really makes us proud and thankful. When we go overseas and see them all support us with one mindset, it makes us want to learn from them and also makes us feel a sense of responsibility as Korean celebrities.

My story is kinda unique and 100% TRUE . 

One day , i was bored of playing video games on my PC . So , i went to watch some random shows on the TV ....THEN ! I came across this colorful looking video ....the beat of Roly Poly was so freaking amazing ! Too bad i missed the title of the song and the group's name ...so i thought that was a one time experience . Literally the next day , i saw that video again ! But the video finished at the end so i was not able to see what was the song and the group's name AGAIN . Then , a week later . My friend's sister graduated in Primary School , so we went to watch her perform at the ceremony....i heard the song and it was familiar....it was the FREAKING SAME SONG ! It was a live performance , how the heck would i know the song's name ?! Lastly , my mum has disc that her friend gave her to listen to and dance aerobics to . So , she let me listen to the disc and told me the songs are really good . I played the songs and suddenly.......THE FREAKING SONG IS HERE AGAIN !! At that time , i was so excited so i listened to it carefully . Since the chorus is like " Roly Poly ~ Roly Roly Poly ~" , i went to Youtube and searched "Roly Poly" ...And that's where my K-pop Journey started...

 

This is not the end of my story , T-ARA is the only K-pop group that made me discover that i have the talent for dancing . Again , 100% True story . I listened to "Roly Poly" for literally 8 months non-stop . I thought the "Hustle Dance" in the song was so fun . So , i learned the dance of the song . After i learnt the dance of "Roly Poly" , i learnt "Cry Cry" and "Lovey Dovey" .That time was 2012 between April and May when i learned "Lovey Dovey" . That was the first time i danced "Lovey Dovey" in front of an audience (for a school event). After the show , my brother's friends and my friends are like : "Whoa....he can dance?" I've gotten tons of compliments from students from my school , students that aren't from my school and even adults .

 

That's the reason why i LOVE T-ara . I think that me meeting them was fate , No matter what happens to T-ara or how much hate they get from haters , i will always support them . It sounds dramatic but this is real .

On the 7th~6th of this month, we spent a hot day in Hong Kong. We participated in the Hong Kong 2015 Youth Music Festival and had a production press conference about the T-ARA web-drama. You’re curious about our trip report, aren’t you? From here onwards, follow me~

Album wise, it's Jiyeon > (Eunjung = Hyomin), Eunjung's and Hyomin's songs are just not my taste.
 
I didn't have high expectation for any of them. Because tbh, though T-ara has been around for nearly 6 years now, their vocal skills haven't been improved at all. Tell me I'm biased, but Sso is the only one who knows how to know how to sing soulfully, though tbh, her vocal skill is going on a down spiral recently.
 
Unfortunately, Jiyeon's voice is too weak for the song, her voice sounds scratchy at parts, like she's going out of breath anytime. Nevertheless, I've enjoyed her performance the most. She has charisma that demands my attention whenever she's on stage.  And for some strange reasons, despite the first few times I cringed when heaing her voice almost go hoarse trying to reach the high notes, I've got addicted to that scratchiness in her voice, which gradually sounds more like a cry in desperation. I think Jiyeon's solo would have met with more success if she had sung it better.
 
As for Hyomin's title track, I think it's too slow and too repetitive. To make it worse, they gave her #$#$#%# clothes which are more like for an aerobics junkie back in the 80's, when she has such a sexy body. What a waste and poor Hyomin. Cropping her hair and covering it with an ugly wig was another crime that her stylist had committed.
 
Jiyeon's promos was well prepared, whereas Eunjung's was the worst. It almost feels like MBK was contractually obliged to give her a solo debut, so they just perfunctorily put out her album to get it over and done with.
 
If the rumor about Sso getting a solo debut next is true, then my theory that solo debut is a condition in their contracts with CCM is correct (Maybe that clause is not in Qri's contract)

For Queen's that do not understand both Korean and Chinese (Mandarin) and had watched the Beijing press conference held yesterday (13th October 2014) to announce the partnership between MBK Entertainment and Longzhen Culture, this article is to fill you in on the important details that you need to know about what was said during the event. For the sake of copyright and ownership issues, fan-taken pictures (although made public on Weibo and Twitter) will not be used here. All pictures are taken from Yule Sohu, a news site similar to Newsen, Osen, Starnews etc. The article can be found here. Let's start off with a gallery of our 6 beautiful goddesses shall we!


All of them were invited to introduce themselves in Mandarin in this order: Eunjung, Qri, Boram, Soyeon, Jiyeon, Hyomin. Eunjung was a little nervous but her pronunciation was quite accurate! Qri and Boram kept their introductions short and sweet but Boram was really adorable with her singing voice. Soyeon was probably the most confident of them all mainly because she's a natural speaker and also really good at languages. Jiyeon was really nervous but introduced herself well; Hyomin was confident but she made a minor blunder by saying "Hello, we are T-ARA's Hyomin," it was adorable because she ended off with a Chinese slang "me me da" which means hugs and kisses (like xoxo).


After the introduction, T-ARA was given a short interview by the MC about some generic questions like "Is this your first time in China," and "What are your hopes of achievements in China?" When asked if they had prepared anything for the fans and media that had attended the press conference, Eunjung said that they had prepared to sing a slow-tempo song/ballad "I Don't Want You", a song that they had been promoting alongside with "Sugar Free".

After T-ARA's performance, the MC continued the short interview and also mentioned to the media that T-ARA had been holding and maintaining first place for a few of their songs now on various music charts in China, especially their newest promoted song "Sugar Free". Shortly after the questions and praises, fan representatives from T-ARA China were invited up stage to present gifts that they had prepared for T-ARA and also to take a picture with them!



The highlight of the press conference was MBK Entertainment's Representative and Longzhen Culture's CEO taking the floor to address the media and fans. MBK's Representative talked about how MBK and Longzhen met at first, which was during the Guangzhou concert last year, since Longzhen was one of the partners that made the concert possible. They decided to partner and bring T-ARA to China, considering their popularity and demand from the Chinese fans.

Longzhen's CEO gave a short speech to the media and fans, talking about Longzhen's commitment to make T-ARA successful in China through CFs, variety shows, new music, performances and many more activities to show China and the world T-ARA's ability to shine even in a foreign land. The CEO thanked many people, including the fans, his family for support and the media for gracing the press conference. He did something like an inspirational cheer that was directed at T-ARA fans that attended the press conference to create hype and to also show the media how much support and popularity T-ARA has in China.




Following all the talk was an official contract signing session by MBK's Representative and Longzhen Culture's CEO. T-ARA was invited along with them for pictures and to mark the official commencement of T-ARA's activities in China and also the partnership between MBK Entertainment and Longzhen Culture. Following that was a champagne session where MBK's Rep and Longzhen's CEO were to pop champagne bottles and pour to fill the champagne tower. The rest of the press conference was pretty much T-ARA having fun with champagne, taking pictures and looking flawless.


Some concluding thoughts: According to the introduction video that was played before T-ARA went up stage, Longzhen Culture managed several immensely popular Mando-Pop idols. Notable ones are Ah Mei (Zhang Hui Mei from Taiwan) and S.H.E. (Selina, Hebe, Ella from Taiwan), whom sent congratulatory greetings to MBK Entertainment and T-ARA. It is still early to discuss about T-ARA's success in China, especially when they are still in the early stages of their activities in a foreign country and language is still a significant barrier for them to overcome. They had managed to be successful in Japan, and arguably achieved notable popularity and fame through their Japan promotions, tours and of course concerts. From my personal point of view, it is almost as easy for Koreans to learn Chinese as learning Japanese. Mainly because the grammatical structure and sentence formation are pretty similar for all these three languages, so I believe T-ARA will prevail in China! Then again, it's just purely my hunch and opinion. Charts and album sales won't lie though, so we shall wait and see what lies ahead of T-ARA in the near future. We must show our continuous support and love for T-ARA despite the country they're promoting in and of course, the Diadem team will try our best to deliver translations and all the good stuff to Queen's and Diademers as much as our capabilities permit! I need to update first post. T-ARA won MNet last week in all 3 regions by a wide margin!
Similarly, T-ARA is doing very well in the MNet voting as well, currently 1st in Global and Japan regions!
So moving right along, there's this Love Beans China contest which has been happening and it's been a long one, going on about 3 weeks now and T-ARA immediately jumped out to a big lead, was overtaken by AoA for a short period before T-ARA fans piled on near 500,000 votes in one day.
Coming to the closing hours of this contest (7hours 31 minutes), other acts like Yi Li Feng, Infinite and Bulletproof Cadet (?) are keeping it close but at this point T-ARA is slightly outpacing everyone else in the voting rate.

There has been a lot of questions directed to me in regards to attending music shows for T-ara in Korea.
So I'm here to answer your needs.
Requirements for all music shows are the same unless they are concerts.
(e.g. SBS The Show that usually records a concert instead for which you will require to get a ticket instead)

There are 5 important things that you must have, and to each I will try my best to guide you on getting it.
First and foremost, Queens' membership card.
Secondly, signing up for the event on daum cafe.
Thirdly, album
Fourthly, MP3.
Fifth, Ringtone.
If you have all 5 items, then good for you, you will be ranked cat 1.
And for each missing item, your category will drop.

Queens' membership card, will be given to members who have paid to be on the daum cafe.
(Registration is already closed so your only option is to wait till next year or ... )
DO NOTE, for those members that have yet to receive their cards, you must print out the receipt/ notification page, that indicate that you have paid to be a member.

Signing up for an event on the daum cafe, DOES NOT REQUIRE YOU to have a QUEENS' membership card. You will just need a daum account which can be easily obtain via these few easy steps here.
One/few days before the event, the registration for the event will opened up. All you need to do is to follow the instructions fill in the particulars as accordingly, and lock your posts and you're considered signed up.

Album is by far the easiest step, whereby you will just need to purchase an album of the current song that they are promoting. Assuming the album that they are promoting is currently unavailable, then you must bring the album they were promoting previously unless stated otherwise whilst signing up for the event on daum cafe.

MP3 is slightly difficult as you will need a credit card to purchase the song on iTunes. Assuming the song is not available on iTunes, then you will require a Korean to help you purchase a song on the music sites, notably Soribada or Melon. ( What i did was to get my hostel owner to help me purchase the song on my behalf instead ) After buying the song, make sure you PRINT out the screen capture of your receipt. You MUST PRINT it out ( i.e. No showing of the image on your tablet/phone)

Ringtone will be the most difficult of them all. There are two ways of getting it. The official way is to get a ringtone via the music sites and then send it to your phone, however this means that the buyer will have to send you the ringtone ( Since music sites requires a Korean ID, it will be be difficult for us to sign up for an account there. )
. Now the other unofficial method is to make your own ringtone, which is highly unrecommended, because i'm not sure of any repercussions. What they usually want to see is a ringtone with 30secs and the album jacket on the ringtone. I.E. they will ask you to play the ringtone on your mobile phone; the display should have the album jacket as the image and the ringtone should be 30 seconds long. Hence for those going during the comeback week, it's recommended you bring your laptop along so as to be able to make your own ringtone at your own convenience.

I will be explaining how the categories work now.
As mention earlier, without an item, you will drop to a lower category.
So even if you may arrive very early to the address of the music show, but if you're missing one item and the next person in line has more items than you, he/she will be placed ahead of you instead. Upon arrival at the timing indicated for the event on daum cafe, the fan managers will then request you to take out all the necessary materials. Obviously, those that arrive early will get priority first. So for example, one that has all the items and is the first to arrive will be marked 1-1, and the second in line will be marked 1-2. Hence, there's a first come first serve basis involve as well.
( 1-1 is usually impossible to get as there are some REALLY REALLY PASSIONATE fans that will queue really early)

The fan staff/manager will mark on your wrist or on a paper of your choosing, to indicate what category you're in.
After you're marked, stick around the area for a bit to see what else the fan manager have to say, then after which, you can go for a toilet break after he/she is done aligning the rest of the fans.

Please don't make a fuss over small issues, such as you've queued for a long time but can't get in due to the number of tickets given blah blah blah, because ultimately, you're in another country and it will be wise to put on your best behavior as a fan. You do not want to give them a bad impression that you're a black sheep. The fan staff/ managers as far as I know are pretty nice, so long as you don't piss them off.

There are times where by the number of tickets given by music shows to the fan managers will not be enough to let all the fans in. Hence, it will be best if you get the highest possible category to guarantee your seat.

Locations of music shows and timing to be there will be indicated on the event page of their daum cafe and you can google how to find the place with not much of an issue.

Last but not least, enjoy the show and cheer loudly for your idols whenever they come on.

I think your body is much better than on TV. It seems that you originally have the body-built in which you don’t gain weight.
I also used to think like that, but once, when I was a high school senior, I went on binges and gained 8kg. I thought that wasn’t right, I made up my mind and changed my diet to cherry tomatoes and cucumbers for dinner. I also rope jumped 2,000 times every night. My diet history started since then.
Is there any exercise you’ve been especially doing lately?
Crossfit! I actually needed exactly one month of preparation before I started this exercise. To make it short, I needed to make sure of myself. Also, I always did cross fit early in the morning worrying that I might give up later saying it’s tiring. Because at night, I hang out a lot with my friends and would come back tired. Once I wake up I’d put in all my strength doing cross fit and then shower after that, when I do that I’d feel a confidence from deep in my heart that “What is it that I can’t do after doing such a powerful exercise?”.
At last, is there anything you want to say to the COSMO readers?
Before I started exercising, my fears that ‘will I really be able to do this?’ have considerablly gotten bigger. However, gain courage and try it first. It’s certain that, just like me, you’ll get bigger and will be able to feel the little enjoyment and happiness. You will also start loving your body.

I was a bit worried before, thinking that she would starve herself to lose weight. But she's doing Pilates and is following a diet. So this is good for her health. I don't think she looks too skinny.
