When we first heard of Banana Project, we thought Wang Sicong ventured into the agricultural industry. We didn’t expect his first business was signing a contract with popular Korean girl group T-ara, marking his first step into the entertainment industry. Furthermore, the “discreet and low-profile but popular Internet Prince” started PandaTV, appointed Duan Xuan as his e-Sports CEO and even signed a contract with another Korean girl group EXID... attracting a lot of attention. Seems like the daily life as an “entertainment detective” can no longer satisfy Wang Sicong.
Before Banana Project was established, I didn’t have any business with Wang Sicong. But after he managed to sign these Korean girl groups, things changed. Not long ago, Wang Sicong called us and asked, “do you want a chance to raise your reputation?” That was how I decided to work with T-ara.
Following the plan, we drove T-ara to the Ren Lu Art Gallery in Shanghai. If you haven’t heard of it before, it’s normal. Afterall, when we were looking for photoshoot venues, the most important factor is quietness. We were in a location that was very inaccessible so it was one of the rare times where they were not surrounded by fans for autographs and such. They were actually quite sad.
Therefore, we decided to have a quiet and calm concept - Flower & Muses. The “Muse” is a reference to the Muses in Greek mythology, the goddesses that are great at dancing, music and poetry. With 6 muses appearing in Shanghai, it is no wonder our staff went crazy over them. But of course, we didn’t travel all the way here from Beijing to go crazy over them. After our staff rushed to get T-ara’s autographs and group pictures with them, they quickly started working. The lady that was responsible for editing the pictures promised us, “if we manage to wrap up before 5 pm, I will give everyone a group photo!”
The girls were really cooperative. They tied balloons, laid on flower petals, interacted with a gold python, etc. Seeing how the pictures came out so well, the photographer exclaimed, “why are these girls so kind and capable?” Although T-ara might not be as photogenic or professional as actual professional models, they were really good in the sense that they had the charms and beauty to make up for it.

T-ara's Eunjung, Hyomin and Jiyeon will be visiting Vietnam after 2 years.
On the 25th, MBK revealed that the trio will be departing for Vietnam on the 12th of March in order to greet Vietnam fans and hold a special 3-day V Live broadcast.
2 years ago, 2000 fans had crowded the airport to greet the Korean girl group, showcasing their immense popularity. Eunjung, Hyomin and Jiyeon say they are excited to meet their Vietnam fans once again.
Additionally, the 3 T-ara members will as well be attending a mobile phone launch event on the 15th.
Meanwhile, Hyomin is gearing up for her solo comeback, having recently released the first teaser photos.

As always Eun Jung is absolutely gorgeous.  In the shot with several people she just shines so that you can't help but notice her right away.  I am loving the long hair.  It makes her look even younger and re-enforces that fresh look she always has.  Just such a beautiful young woman, both inside and outside.

It's so exciting to see them back on a main show again.  Happy Together is a big thing and to see them there is proof that the mindset of so many people is finally shifting back to the realization that these are girls to love and enjoy not to hate and shun.  I'm so happy for the love they are shown.

T-ara is a popular girl group that debuted in 2009 under Korean Entertainment Agency Core Contents Media (now Music Beyond Korea; MBK Entertainment), comprising of 6 members: Jeon Boram, Lee Qri, Park Soyeon, Ham Eunjung, Park Hyomin and Park Jiyeon. The name T-ara stems from the English word Tiara, with the goal of becoming the Queens of Music.

 

17173: Please introduce each member.

 

T-ara: Hello everyone~ We are T-ara. Our members are Jeon Boram, Lee Qri, Park Soyeon, Ham Eunjung, Park Hyomin and Park Jiyeon. We are really happy to meet everyone on 17173.

 

17173: Do you all meet up with one another outside of the usual schedules?

 

T-ara: Because we’re an idol group, we usually meet up even outside schedules. We play bowling, watch movies, try out different types of delicious food together, and even drive around the Han River to hang out.

 

17173: Please share the kinds of games that you would usually like to play.

 

T-ara: Of course we like games that have some competitive sense, because playing games alone is really boring. We also like the kind of puzzle games that you play with friends over chatting app (like KakaoTalk or Line). We can play while we chat with friends that way.

 



 

17173: You are the ambassadors of World of Warships (WOWS), a kind of war game that is more suitable for males. What do you think are your qualities that fit well with the WOWS concept?

 

T-ara: Because both WOWS and we are cool~ haha, actually we think Jiyeon really fits the war sailor concept. Furthermore, we really admire navy soldiers, battling on the deep blue seas with battleships. They are the protectors and upholders of safety on waters, really cool and passionate.

 

17173: Why did you all choose to work with WOWS? What attracted you to endorse and be ambassadors of this game?

 

T-ara: Actually we don’t usually play games, except when we are in the van or waiting room. Mobile games seem a lot more fun than PC games, like mobile puzzle games. But we have been playing WOWS whenever we have free time! All of us like WOWS for different reasons too. Eunjung likes the beautiful graphics, Boram likes the island terrain so she’s really immersed in the game whenever she plays. Whereas for Jiyeon, she’s really good at WOWS so she likes to play and taunt us.

 



17173: Many Chinese celebrities are streaming games nowadays, have you all considered to do the same?

 

T-ara: We have considered and would really like to stream WOWS if we have the chance to. However, we hope that everyone would not mind if we don’t play the game well~!

 

17173: If WOWS intend to make T-ara characters, what would you like them to be like?

 

T-ara: Actually, we already have our characters in WOWS, Jiyeon is the Yamato (Japanese battleship)! Every time Jiyeon plays as Yamato in WOWS, she will be really into the game. She'd shout and ask us to follow her lead and charge into battle. But Hyomin would tends to end up having the best score in the end. Actually, Hyomin is pretty good at every game she plays too. Nevertheless, Jiyeon’s courage and competitive personality really match well with the Yamato.

 

17173: Who is the best at playing WOWS? Or should we say, who is the gaming god?

 

T-ara: Hyomin! Hyomin is really, really good at WOWS! She’s really good at many games, it’s like she has a talent for gaming. We normally need to follow her lead to victory.

 



 

17173: What do you think of gamers? What kind of impression do you have of them?

 

T-ara: Gamers are pretty adorable, haha, gamers would have common topics to talk about when they hang out together, chatting would be more enjoyable. They can ridicule each other whenever they play games together too. But gamers must take care of their eyes!!!

 

17173: Despite facing a lot of pressure from work, T-ara is still able to face everyone with a smile. So how do you all normally relieve stress?

 

T-ara: There are many ways of stress relief, like playing games, exercising, maintaining quality sleep, watching television, hanging out with friends, to name a few.

 

17173: T-ara must have seen other Chinese girl groups too, what do you think are the differences between Chinese and Korean girl groups?

 

T-ara: We don’t think there is a huge difference but we guess Chinese girl groups are cuter than us.

 



 

17173: There are a lot of male users on our site that like T-ara a lot, what do you think are your attractive points?

 

T-ara: Probably because we're really hardworking? The hard work and effort that we put in so that we can present many different types of entertaining performances to everyone. Many people have complimented us for our hard work and effort. We're really grateful!

 

17173: What plans do T-ara have which everyone can really looking forward to?

 

T-ara: Everyone can expect and look forward to see more of our collaborations with WOWS in the near future. We are really looking forward to it too!

 

17173: There are many users on 17173 that look upon T-ara as divas and goddesses, any words for them?

Q. What have you been up to lately?
Eunjung: We had a Korean comeback as well as Chinese promotions. Individually, I joined as a leading role in the latter half of a daily KBS2tv drama called ‘From Today, I Love You’
Boram, Hyomin: We wrapped up our ‘So Crazy’ activities in Korea and are now preparing for our China concerts that will be taking place from October onwards.
Q. The concept of this photoshoot is a friendly trip. Have you ever been on a trip with the members?
Eunjung: We’ve travelled to so many countries together, but we’ve never travelled together for fun, only for our overseas schedules. I think a trip amongst ourselves would be even more fun since we know each other well, I really want to go together one day.
Hyomin, Jiyeon: We’ve travelled to so many countries together, but aside from our overseas schedules, we’ve never travelled together for fun. We want to make some time and go on a group trip together one day.
Q. What is the place you want to travel to the most?
Eunjung: If I had to pick one, I would say Europe; we went there for work before but we didn’t even have 5 minutes of free time. I want to speed a leisure time with the members. (Europe) is very far away so it’s not very easy to go there, but there were still so many things that we didn’t get to see, hear, or feel (during our last trip there), so we had many regrets.
Qri: Europe? Japan? Anywhere is good as long as we can visit many places together.
Q. You’re mostly busy with Chinese activities. No matter how busy you are, do you still get breaks or go sightseeing? How do you mostly spend your leisure time?
Hyomin: I visit a cafe or just enjoy my time exercising.
Qri: I either hang out with my friends or spend the day at home. I also clean the house.
Boram: I’d spend most of my time staying at home with my mom. I sometimes watch movies and visit galleries as well.
Soyeon: I go on family trips. I’d also go with my friends to suburbs to enjoy the cold air.
Eunjung: I go shopping for cosmetics or visit yummy restaurants with the members. It’s my fun time as well as my momentary leisure. If there are any nature places nearby, I’d go for a visit too. We’re the type to spend our leisure time on trivial things.
Q. Your popularity in China is so big nowadays. You’ve become Hallyu leaders over there, how do you feel? 
Hyomin: Now that you put it out like that, we’re very thankful.
Qri, Boram: We haven’t come to realise it yet, we just feel that we have to work harder.
Jiyeon, Soyeon, Eunjung: We’re thankful to our seniors for paving the way for us. We feel a sense of responsibility and feel that we should work harder too. We think it wouldn’t have been possible if not for our company staff and for the love of our fans who support and cherish us. We have to be grateful and consistently do a good job.
Q. How is the atmosphere of the Korean music industry and Chinese music industry different?
Jiyeon, Boram: We haven’t learned a lot about the Chinese music industry so we can’t pretend to know it all, but the Chinese audience show a very passionate reaction to music.
Soyeon: They were similar to our country’s people in how they carry around banners they made and show their passion for the things they love. There was no big difference.
Qri, Hyomin: There was no big difference. Our Korean and Chinese fans each have their own charms.
 

Finally, T-ARA.
She was born in Busan, started attending an acting academy in middle school, and then she fell in love with music as she was studying musicals over there: Hyomin. She was originally a child actress and was the last member to join T-ARA, yet became the leader: Qri. Having singer-actress parents, she took after them and is now a celebrity with very cute visuals: Boram. She filmed in so many dramas and practiced singing whenever she had the chance; passionate Eunjung. She made her debut after winning in a school uniform model contest;Jiyeon. Her outstanding singing ability was first discovered through a teenage music festival, and then she was appointed as T-ara’s main vocal; Soyeon. Each one was different, until they gathered and became one; T-ARAwho are rising as Hallyu stars.
Q. Your own way to overcoming tough times?
Eunjung, Hyomin: Exercising, learning something new, or spending time with precious people like family or friends.
Jiyeon, Soyeon, Boram: We change the mood by spending time with family or friends.
Q. A word each one of you wants to say to the rest of the members?
Eunjung: We’re already on our 7th year since debut, it’s also been more than 9 years if we’re to count trainee days too. I’ve come to cherish you more and more. Thank you! I love you!
Qri: Just like now, let’s work hard and enjoy our time!
Boram: let’s always work hard!
Hyomin: let’s work hard in order to not have any regrets!

Q. T-ara’s future plans?
Jiyeon, Qri, Boram: We’re starting our China concert tour this October, we’re planning to prepare our best.
Hyomin: After having finished our Korean activities, we’re now preparing for our China concerts from Oct. onwards. We’ll keep our fans in our hearts and continue to work hard.
Soyeon, Eunjung: T-ara’s web-drama is going to be screened in Korea, China, and Japan, so we hope that you look forward to it.

Eunjung, Soyeon: We’re thankful to everyone showing love to us and our music. This might appear like a textbook answer, but we will work our best in order to sincerely repay your love.

Oh I know.  They are excellent spokespersons, and they are my two favorites in the group.  I just wish that the others got a chance to speak occasionally so that it doesn't look like these two are stealing the scene.  And Boram usually has the job of looking cute not matter what they are doing.  She is so adorable and just like a little porcelain doll I want to protect whenever I see her.
