  1. Its for the Kumamoto K-Pop Festival right? Wow full team! Will it be T-ara? N4? or QBS? Wonder which song will get aired.. Sexy Love? Bunny Style? Jeon Won Diary + first live of Like A Wind? Inquiring minds want to know!
  2. Well as a consolation, how about visiting T-ara's Official Channel in Nico Nico Douga instead? http://ch.nicovideo.jp/t-ara It's free for foreigners and has the Mainichi T-ara videos.
  3. The three unnies looked breathtakingly gorgeous & really love the song, it just has a perfect vibe for them ... Oh yeah, guys, don't forget to show support by visiting Nico-Nico's T-ara official channel & viewing the vids there also as linked above..
  4. Even her hand writing is so dreamy, sparkly and bling-bling I wonder how she did the heart sparkle effect?
  5. Forget Palms Las Vegas, these are the type of venues that T-ara should be performing at! Sapporo Nitori Cultural Hall Capacity: 2300 Performed there:Sexy Zone, Mblaq, Rain, Koda Kumi, Kis-My-Ft2, etc. Fukuoka Sun Palace Hotel & Hall Capacity: 2316 Performed there: Gackt, Morning Musume, Rush, Perfume, UverWorld, Stone Roses etc. Nagoya Congress Center Century Hall Capacity: 3000 Performed there: Maroon 5, Prince, TM Revolution, Chage & Aska, Acid Black Cherry,NMB48 etc. Kobe World Memorial Hall Capacity: 8,000 Performed there: Weezer, Luna Sea, Shinwa, Big Bang, SNDS, etc. Nippon Budokan - Tokyo Capacity: 20,000 for sports & usually around 10,000 for concerts (due to backstage area and equipment) Performed there: Deep Purple, Santana, Eric Clapton, Frank Sinatra, Ozzy Osbourne, Katy Perry, Avril Lavigne, Hikaru Utada, Morning Musume, Momoiro Clover Z, Taylor Swift, etc. ....oh yeah and of course T-ara
  6. Sorry but I actually don't agree with this sentiment.. First of all I actually support KKS' strategy of keeping them busy with work despite the scandal. You got to understand that T-ara members actually love to perform and be active. Being a entertainers is their profession and long time dream. Keeping them in self imposed exile in their own houses doing nothing will only be harder on their mental states. Most of them are in their 20s & not having a work related thing to do everyday is hell for people in working age who have drive & ambition. Personally I think what killed them in the past is not because they had continued comebacks every several months, but because in each comebacks they had too much schedules per day (dramas, variety shows, live TV performances + rehearsals, and non-TV live events). Back then a news site compared that while even top groups like 2PM & SNSD had 2-3 or 6 at tops events per day, T-ara could have 12-13 events! That superhuman scheduling will kill you no matter how much you love your job. However, just preparing & promoting songs with Eunjeung doing the occasional MC work is actually easy-peasy compared to what they used to do. Second, the work actually shielded & sometimes energizes them after all the beating they get. When they made the Sexy Love MV, they were shielded from the impact of the height of the scandal. When Sexy Love came out, it showed them that people actually still chanted for them & bought their songs. If you followed the Mainichi T-ara, you can see that the Bunny Style promotions which should've been a grueling multi-city tour was actually enjoyed by the girls like a refreshing vacation, with just a few a couple of hours of work on the side. And the trip to LA? You can see how excited they were with it & how amazing they performed at Music Core during the same day they arrived back in Korea, jet lag and all. Third, their careers? If T-ara stopped performing for a year they will become just another group that was broken by a scandal & I bet CCM will shelved them or even break the group apart. And now look what happened to their careers after the scandal with T-ara toughing it out & facing the haters head on: Sexy Love got top 5 in both GAON & Oricon. It placed #46 of Billboard Korea's 2012 Top 100 Song of the Year despite only being released on September AFTER the scandal (just a comparison: Miss A's I don't Need a Man was #49). Bunny Style: Members were given a chance to sing solo and in groups (This is a BIG jump for their careers especially for Ahreum, Boram & Qri). It got #2 on Oricon, would've been #1 if it just didn't came out at the same time with the debut of AKB48's sister group HKT48. Eunjeung got back in TV as MC for Show Champion. From Vitamain to Dream Team to Gag Concert etc.. the girls are once again in mainstream TV outside of Mnet. N4 released a song so AWESOME it was heard round the world to the US! QBS is preparing for their debut with Boram & Qri FINALLY getting more of a push in the group. Yes 4Minute sold more songs than N4 but hey it still got into top 20 & Jeon Won Diary was more of a statement & rally call for their fans than just for "making money" (even CCM realized this & only made 40,000 copies of the physical CDs). Seriously without the scandal T-ara will always be the group that we love but they will always be considered Tier 2 after SNSD and 2NE1 for various reasons.. after the scandal for me T-ara became the group who are, borrowing from Popdust, actually "flipping the K-Pop script on its head." This is a historic milestone! In the past a group had to stop activities after a scandal no matter how much their ACTUAL fans still wanted them to continue on... Keeping busy just after a scandal, selling top 20 songs, going on with different sub-units, performing in various countries, working with another "scandalized" artist in the US may seem unnatural for the average Korean band... but this is T-ara, and that is why I respect & love them even more.. and hope for more activities this year (just don't stack it all up in a single time period like in the past, CCM)
  7. You know wheter they make it or not with the US version of JWD.. its still a win (even if god forbid it flops) just in terms of the international exposure and adding the number of fans. Even without actually promoting in the US they already have thousands of American fans, imagine how much the number will multiply if T-ara songs actually showed up in American radios & MTV (do they actually still play music there?). And don't say international fans don't matter 'cause I know I buy all their CDs, watch their MVs on Youtube & still download songs on iTunes. I'm also really psyched with the idea of a T-ara youtube channel. My favorite J-pop band right now is Momoiro Clover Z, which IMHO is probably the only rival for the mighty AKB48, anyway one of the key to their popularity (besides that they are as bat-xxxx crazy as they are talented) is that they have their own channel in ustream where they do these routine simple mini talkshows where they showcase random activities or just one or two members shooting the breeze in front of a flip cam. The simple videos doesn't have to be full-blown variety shows on Mnet, just imagine Hyomin & Jiyeon just chatting or telling jokes for 5 minutes in front of a handycam or Qri taking a flip-cam during their rehersals and... voila, you have a show for the week!
  8. So that's where Boram gets her eternal-youth genes.. from her Dad, he looks really young for a guy who's nealry one and half century old
  9. You know this could be great if handled correctly.. I think they can start a new hip-hop style in the US. There's gangsta rap hip-hop, there's "party rockin'-all-night-drinking" hip-hop, there's "talking-bout-b**chs,-my-bling-bling-ride-&-pimpin-house that my recording company loaned to me" hip-hop, there's the "i'm-a-girl-but-I-am-also-a-sexy-playa" hip-hop, and what not... But have you seen a "We're-nice-cute-family-friendly-girls-working-hard-for-our-dream" type of hip hop? How about making the MV a continuation of the JWD drama? So after the competition our four simple country girls get big and tries to spread their wings in the US? ...well it's just an idea PS: But Hyomin seriously needs to work on her English pronunciation just by listening to her j-song "Love Suggestion"
  10. I think one thing why BoA, 2NE1 and Girls Generation, JQT, Blush (Kahi's old girl band) and other bands had such a hard time getting into the US market (still crossing fingers for 2NE1) is that what they offer are actually not really that uniquely different from what America's own talents have, its just done by an all Korean group. Its just me but unless you are already a native English speaker (like British bands), maybe you shouldn't try so hard to sing, look and act like an English speaking band (case in point: Wonder Girls).. try to keep your uniqueness like PSY & Shakira is doing right now. This reminded me when Jackie Chan guest starred in Running Man and said that the key to becoming a world star is to "Stay and be yourself." But talking about PSY, I was really happy that N4 (and hopefully CCM marketing staff) met with social media guru Brendan Gahan in the US. This guy is THE best in youtube and viral marketing with clients like Pepsi, Virgin, 20th Century Fox and various top stars. I hope T-ara & CCM got something out of this meeting.
  11. This was awesome.. KBSWorld TV just aired the episode this morning and now they have already uploaded it on their youtube channel! I just really love Boram during the games not only that she looked super cute, she also show how brave she is despite the pool was too deep for her and none of the T-ara members actually can swim (I actually didn't know that except for Eunjeung ~ironic since her dad owns a seafood beach restaurant by the sea~ ) I think he meant the sub-titled Music Bank aired internationally on KBSWorld today.. its two weeks late because KBSWorld needs to put English captions on it first. @Regius: You can find what your looking for in the video section or latest updates.. but it won't have english subtitles
  12. Maybe there is a method to KKS' madness? If bad boy Chris Brown does come out with a song/video featuring a "scandalized" cute Korean girl band, I think it will make an interesting story material for the international music press. And hopefully since they are much more respectable & professional journalists than Korean online/tabloid sensationalist reporters they will dig deeper and write more balanced stories on what or who "T-ara" really is.. then voila: widespread International Exposure! Seriously the world needs to know that T-ara is a loveable group with great music and uniquely awesome members, which got victimized due to several misunderstandings and bad PR decisions.. and because a huge portion of Korean teenagers are bully victims themselves and finds T-ara a "perfect" target to lash out their anger....
  13. Lol.. And article in Popdust actually called the interview "Awkwardly Amazing" and praised Eunjeung for saving it & the girls for making it "super awkward, but in the cutest, most endearing way possible." http://popdust.com/2013/05/17/watch-t-ara-n4s-awkwardly-amazing-english-language-interview-in-l-a/
  14. Wow... Jiyeon actually said the truth during JWD's press conference when she said the unnies are preparing themselves as a sub-unit for Japan, It should've been big news also back then but of course most of the press didn't believe it.. anyway totally excited for this new song.. so QBS eh? Will Qri will be the front lady? (Soyeon IMHO is the perfect head honcho for T-ara but if the leadership rotation is still on, shouldn't Qri at least get some leadership role?) And can I call them QuBieS?
  15. God do I miss the three unnies.. but shouldn't it be BQS? (based on the age ) This is just my observation but I think Japan's Oricon chart actually is a bit different than any other chart in the world because most Japanese would by the CDs they are interested in always on the first day of release (or even sooner). This is why first day sales are more important than first week sales and promotion before the album release is actually more efficient then promotion after the release. I guess its just the Japanese shopping mentality.. if you want it you just got to have it as quickly as possible. Just for an example: Bunny Style I think sold around 65,000 physical albums but around 40,000+ of it actually were sold in the first day (including pre-orders) ~ please correct me if I'm wrong. This is why the Top Ten Oricon chart is always filled with around 4-5 new songs each week. So QBS paving the way a few weeks a head of a full team T-ara Japanese comeback can actually be a good marketing strategy... anyway I really hope both would be succesful!
  16. Official M Countdown live video on Mnet Youtube: Don't forget to 'Like' the vid & vote for them at http://mwave.interest.me/mcountdown/vote.m starting today & through the weekend Let's win the global vote again!
  17. Wow.. that was a really fun live performance & love the interview! (but what's up with that spade?) They even have started the trademark t-aradlibing for the dance which I love so much. (Hyomin's adlib was particularly hot ) Btw speaking about Show Champion.. have you all checked out craZy's awesomely excellent tutorial on how to vote in Show Champion & M Countdown? (http://www.tiaradiadem.com/topic/24520-tutorial-how-to-vote-for-t-ara-on-music-shows/ or just look at the top of the forum's front page) It may seem a bit daunting to sign-up in a Korean website like MeLon.. but craZy made the instructions so easy to follow that even an idiot like me can still make 5 accounts (max for one email account), start voting (3 times/day/account) and giving JWD multiple 5 star ratings in just a short amount of time!
  18. Here is the official Inkigayo youtube.. just came out a couple of hours ago: credit : SBSMusic1
  19. Snow White Les Misérables? Love it! Hyomin once again can live-out her dream to be singer in a musical I wished I could've seen her in Roly Poly the Musical, but at least she managed to put in the roly poly dance in the skit
  20. Yeah please watch the lives on official channels if possible.. If I'm not mistaken at least M Countdown figures in the view counts in their charts and we can also show those TV execs that T-ara is definitely a hot item..
  21. Guys don't forget also: MNET COUNTDOWN voting is NOW OPEN UNTIL MONDAY MORNING! We got a lot of good competition this time, so please make sure to vote EVERYDAY! http://mwave.interest.me/mcountdown/voteState.m
  22. N4 looked like they were having a blast on stage and really love the fan chants also.. does anyone know how it goes?
  23. Wow just preordered from Yesasia this morning, hope they will still have the mini in stock. I guess CCM is pushing for people to buy this online, but then that only leaves iTunes for me (does it even count in GAON charts?). We got a localized MelOn here but the selection is pretty limited.
  24. Here is a couple of ways that you can support them: If you buy from Yesasia (like advertised in the front page) its counted by GAON charts, i think iTunes also gets counted.. You can also support them by watching the MVs repeatedly on official Youtube channels like LOEN and COREMIDAS (don't forget to "like," leave positive comments and thumb down the haters). When the live performance clips from the music shows come out, you can also do the same thing (make sure to go for the Official Music Bank, Music Core, Inkigayo etc. youtube channels) You can also google 'MNET Countdown vote' and vote for them there every Friday to Monday. (One vote per user account per day~but you can have up to 10 accounts voting per day per PC ~wink-wink-nudge-nudge~) There is also the GomTV chart (google 'gomtv chart') where non users can still vote and play (if you have gomtv player installed) their fav songs, but so far I haven't seen Rural Life in GomTV.. PS: The title said 1 Million (which is plausible) but why does the text say 10 million?
  25. Honestly for me the two MVs are probably the best T-ara video clips to date. The production value, pacing and intensity is just awesome. The dance ver. its so good that at some points it can make even a grown man squeal in glee.. The drama feels so innocent and care-free, and I'm still swooning over Hyomin swooning over Korea's Baseball god Yang Joon-Hyuk.. Okay the music might feel a bit different but try listening to it again, its just so catchy, the girls sound great and each member's parts are perfect for their type of vocals (can't wait for the live performance).. I don't even mind SPEED's Taewon's rapping, it makes a great break that actually highlights N4's parts and having him and the other CCM members involved in the project its just good sense to unite the agency's fans together.. This is the comeback that T-ara needed.. all together I'm giving four thumbs up (counting my toes also ) PS: Anyone want to bet that they will use the 'country fashion' at least once in their live perfs?
