Still, JE is known for their male groups with big names like Arashi, KAT-TUN, SMAP, V6,.... Unlike Kpop, Jpop's market for male and female group are very different. Male group's popularity remains relatively the same while female groups' popularity changes over time. Take Arashi and MoMuSu, Arashi is still very popular while MoMuSu's popularity dimishes, leaving a gap between MoMuSu and AKB48. What I'm trying to point out is that JE, as great as they are at producing male groups, is pretty new in managing girl group. So >.< I'm honestly not quite sure about the level of success.
