An update from a CCTV staff, T-ARA is not making a guest appearance but to compete to attend 2016 Spring Festival Gala.
T-ARA will be performing a medley of SC, SL & BP. And assuming an episode per week, T-ARA should be appearing in 2-week time.

Update: The recording happened this afternoon and in addition to the medley, T-ARA performed 6-member Little Apple too. In the end, T-ARA got the votes (Eunjung cried) and proceeded to the next (final) stage (直通春晚) which will be held in 11-14 Jan. (I think it will be broadcast live.)
Let's wait for the actual broadcast of today's performance. T-ARA Go! Here are the photos from the recording today.

We can call it "CCTV Spring Festival Gala Express" too. T-ARA will be leaving for Beijing tomorrow (29/11). I heard that they will be rehearsing tomorrow and the actual recording will happen on 30/11. The broadcast is on every Sunday 1930hrs but T-ARA episode is not confirmed yet.
Unless they are only making a guest appearance, if they make it, they will go to the Spring Festival Gala in 2016 Feb.

Girl group T-ara is really hot within China, no one can compete with them. Combined with a strategy to localise T-ara's image, they are also apparently becoming a trending girl group.

T-ara had previously released a remake of China's Chopstick Brothers' song Little Apple. Ever since then, they received a love call from China and officially debuted. They appeared and performed on various TV programmes. This resulted in T-ara quickly becoming a group with a strong competitive advantage.

T-ara drove up the atmosphere further by having a China Tour, holding concerts in various cities. Members took up roles in dramas and even movies, receiving a lot of attention. Extraordinary beauty, exciting music, upbeat choreography etc, T-ara is becoming a group that is more familiar than distant to Chinese audiences through their various activities.

Other groups are temporarily promoting their performances and events, but T-ara is having a lot schedules that are actively taken up by their Chinese agency, be it individual or group activities.

Last year, T-ara signed a contract with a Chinese entertainment management agency, making them the first ever Korean group to officially step foot in China. It is a huge contract agreement worth 30 million Yuan (5 billion KRW/4.7 million USD) and sales are expected to exceed 100 million Yuan (16.5 billion KRW/15 .6 million USD).

However, T-ara have moved to an even bigger scale agency this year. Wang Si Cong, son of one of the wealthiest man in China, set up a new media agency Banana Project and signed a contract with T-ara, who can expect to receive numerous contracts in China according to local Chinese news reports.

Furthermore, T-ara will appear on various famous TV shows in China periodically. Among them is a TV programme by CCTV Spring Festival Gala Express in which celebrities, or anyone for that matter, who like spring night (first night of the Spring season) can participate in. It is the biggest-scale TV programme that is specially aired to celebrate China's Spring season. However, only those that are of certain recognition in their fields can appear on air. T-ara will appear on the Spring Festival next year during the Spring season in China.

Not DaBar this time, I got them from QiBar etc. Not yet the Gala night but T-ARA made it to the next stage (直通春晚) on 11-14 Jan. If they are selected by the show director, we will get to see them on CCTV in Feb.

T-ara released their Chinese soundtrack for World of Warships which they are endorsing and are the ambassadors of. They received a lot of shares from fans which created a lot of discussion on the Internet. Most of the comments towards T-ara’s first official Chinese song gave recognition to T-ara’s effort. Some netizens even said that their song aroused interest in the game, especially when the Chinese language is supposedly one of the most complicated language in the world.
Some of the comments include, “for a few Korean girls to sing a Chinese song at this standard, they must have put in a lot of effort. Thumbs up for you, wish you success in your Chinese endeavours,” and, “the song sounds pretty good, they quality of the game that T-ara are ambassadors of is a high-quality game too. I’m quite interested in the game and T-ara,” and many more.
Nevertheless, there are a few “black fans” (sceptical or anti-fans) who gave a few negative comments such as, “I don’t think their outfits give off an appropriate sailor/navy vibe,” “having male celebrities as ambassadors would seems more appropriate.”

















However, some netizens pointed out that T-ara is one of the most influential K-pop group and have a young fan base - T-ara are the "divas/goddesses” of many 90-liner males. The game provider must have gone through a lot of consideration and planning before deciding to engage T-ara as their ambassadors. There must be a reason why they chose immensely popular T-ara over other Chinese celebrities. Only time will tell if T-ara’s future plans in China would succeed.

T-ara is a popular girl group that debuted in 2009 under Korean Entertainment Agency Core Contents Media (now Music Beyond Korea; MBK Entertainment), comprising of 6 members: Jeon Boram, Lee Qri, Park Soyeon, Ham Eunjung, Park Hyomin and Park Jiyeon. 17173: Do you all meet up with one another outside of the usual schedules?

 

T-ara: Because we’re an idol group, we usually meet up even outside schedules. We play bowling, watch movies, try out different types of delicious food together, and even drive around the Han River to hang out.

 

17173: Please share the kinds of games that you would usually like to play.

 

T-ara: Of course we like games that have some competitive sense, because playing games alone is really boring. We also like the kind of puzzle games that you play with friends over chatting app (like KakaoTalk or Line). We can play while we chat with friends that way.

 



 

17173: You are the ambassadors of World of Warships (WOWS), a kind of war game that is more suitable for males. What do you think are your qualities that fit well with the WOWS concept?

 

T-ara: Because both WOWS and we are cool~ haha, actually we think Jiyeon really fits the war sailor concept. Furthermore, we really admire navy soldiers, battling on the deep blue seas with battleships. They are the protectors and upholders of safety on waters, really cool and passionate.

 

17173: Why did you all choose to work with WOWS? What attracted you to endorse and be ambassadors of this game?

 

T-ara: Actually we don’t usually play games, except when we are in the van or waiting room. Mobile games seem a lot more fun than PC games, like mobile puzzle games. But we have been playing WOWS whenever we have free time! All of us like WOWS for different reasons too. Eunjung likes the beautiful graphics, Boram likes the island terrain so she’s really immersed in the game whenever she plays. Whereas for Jiyeon, she’s really good at WOWS so she likes to play and taunt us.

 



17173: Many Chinese celebrities are streaming games nowadays, have you all considered to do the same?

 

T-ara: We have considered and would really like to stream WOWS if we have the chance to. However, we hope that everyone would not mind if we don’t play the game well~!

 

17173: If WOWS intend to make T-ara characters, what would you like them to be like?

 

T-ara: Actually, we already have our characters in WOWS, Jiyeon is the Yamato (Japanese battleship)! Every time Jiyeon plays as Yamato in WOWS, she will be really into the game. She'd shout and ask us to follow her lead and charge into battle. But Hyomin would tends to end up having the best score in the end. Actually, Hyomin is pretty good at every game she plays too. Nevertheless, Jiyeon’s courage and competitive personality really match well with the Yamato.

 

17173: Who is the best at playing WOWS? Or should we say, who is the gaming god?

 

T-ara: Hyomin! Hyomin is really, really good at WOWS! She’s really good at many games, it’s like she has a talent for gaming. We normally need to follow her lead to victory.

 



 

17173: What do you think of gamers? What kind of impression do you have of them?

 

T-ara: Gamers are pretty adorable, haha, gamers would have common topics to talk about when they hang out together, chatting would be more enjoyable. They can ridicule each other whenever they play games together too. But gamers must take care of their eyes!!!

 

17173: Despite facing a lot of pressure from work, T-ara is still able to face everyone with a smile. So how do you all normally relieve stress?

 

T-ara: There are many ways of stress relief, like playing games, exercising, maintaining quality sleep, watching television, hanging out with friends, to name a few.

 

17173: T-ara must have seen other Chinese girl groups too, what do you think are the differences between Chinese and Korean girl groups?

 

T-ara: We don’t think there is a huge difference but we guess Chinese girl groups are cuter than us.

 



 

17173: There are a lot of male users on our site that like T-ara a lot, what do you think are your attractive points?

 

T-ara: Probably because we're really hardworking? The hard work and effort that we put in so that we can present many different types of entertaining performances to everyone. Many people have complimented us for our hard work and effort. We're really grateful!

 

17173: What plans do T-ara have which everyone can really looking forward to?

 

T-ara: Everyone can expect and look forward to see more of our collaborations with WOWS in the near future. We are really looking forward to it too!

I very much agree with you. As you mentioned, Eun Jung is very articulate but also very genuine and thoughtful in her answers. I especially loved how she handled the question about DIA and how humble she was about her own success and the success of T-ARA overseas. I'm wishing Eun Jung and T-ARA continued success.
