hyominheart reacted to Eclipsed in [12.08.22] T-ara's Eunjung walks away from her role in SBS "Five Fingers"
"Yesterday Eunjung and the other actors did a screenplay reading in the morning. During that time, the production crew held an emergency meeting about Eunjung. Eunjung's appearance in the drama could possibly be a big burden."
    So it's either:
    1) Due to all the controversial crap Eunjung is not at 100% acting capability and so the crew consider her a burden and decide get rid of her and/or they fear a drop in the ratings because of her due to the scandal, though considering how decent Soyeon's and Hyomin's dramas are going that shouldn't be so.
    2) Eunjung actually gave up due to being emotionally scarred by the controversy and decided she didn't want to be a burden.
All the anti's who started the rumors and fools who spread the rumors and idiots who accepted the rumors leading to this witchhunt are probably going to savor this news. I took a look at the article on Allkpop. It's disgusting.

oh god. if they wanted to kick her, they could had done so long long ago instead of saying "we casted ham eun jung, not t-ara eunjung blahblah". after she went for the interview and even preparing for her first filming then they kick her.
i cannot imagine how emotionally hurt eunjung must be feeling now
well the cast doesnt interest me except eunjung, so with her gone, one less drama for me to watch~

    Everyone knew this was coming.
All good things come to an end after all.
Everything a WGM couple does has already been done by WooJung.
Once a WGM couple conducts a wedding shoot or a wedding ceremony, the end is near.
It's just sad that WooJung had to experience so many difficulties, from Eunjung's injury, to MBC strike, to the T-ara controversy.
It's also sad that the controversy had to be so huge that all haters and some netizens believe that this ending is the consequence of the controversy, no matter how MBC says it's not. I can't blame them because the T-ara controversy is still so fresh in their minds that they make connection about these two different things.
I feel so sad that this day has finally come because the only reason I watch WGM is because of WooJung.
WGM Woojung brought me to T-ara fandom.
Now I have no reason to watch WGM.
But rest assured I will watch out for Eunjung's, T-ara's and Jangwoo's projects.
WooJung couple, thank you for all the sweet moments, for the wonderful episodes, for the entertainment.
    I will surely miss WooJung.
Good luck to Eunjung and Jangwoo. I hope they keep communicating.

Although Jokwon and Gain was the most funiest couple to watch, for me Woojung was the best believable WGM couple ever.. They seem so natural without any awkwardness, still one and a half years is a solid record despite the writers strike. Anyway I hope they keep in touch & at least stay as close friends even after the show..

I won't rule out such a possibility, but all those reasonable doubts brought up by netizens have already been explained. The 119 Emergency Rescue team has already clarified with the public that when they arrived at the scene, Soyeon claimed that she was suffering from back and neck pain, so it was only right for them to put on that neck brace for Soyeon. As for that 'patient's account', I don't even want to describe how feeble an evidence it is. It's highly similar to those backup dancer's account and Nigerian scam emails.

Hyomin is adorable in this drama~ I like how the dramas always incorporate a little of T-ara in their filming. In Haeundae Lovers, the ringtone of one of the cast (when his handphone rang) was Day By Day. And here, Round and Round was used as the background music for one of the scenes XD

I actually think it would have been counterproductive if they said that because then the media will pounce on that one liner and ask follow up questions. Once you open pandora's box, there's no stopping the consequences. Not only that, I think it was professional of them to avoid personal questions like that at a drama press conference unrelated to T-ara. As it is, the other cast members, the PDs and everyone surrounding the drama have probably been affected due to the scandal such as people refusing to watch the drama if the girls are in it.
I think when the time comes, they will talk about it but doing it at a press conference for their personal activity is not one of them. Like you said too, the disbelievers will continue to disbelieve even with the girls' statements.

really, I love T-ara, very very much
but did you ever wonder, why at every press conference they didnt try to clear things up? even for just a little bit?
all it takes is just 1 mere sentence, "there is no bullying in T-ara" or simply "the reason of hwayoung's departure is not because of 'bullying' ".
I mean isnt that easy? just say a sentence similar to those and then follow it with a statement to not ask further questions about the recent issues.
but contrary to what I said, I think I already know the answer
when soyeon, the first t-ara member to come out and speak publicly in the midst of this controversy, agreed to answer questions about bullying issues, did everything work out well?
when netizens said that they want to hear answers from the members of t-ara themselves, and got what they wanted (soyeon's answers), did it please them?
    NO
instead, they said that soyeon was lying and blabering xxxx and stuff
now if we just use a simple logic, we can see the correct algorithm
    1. people demand answer from team
    2. team member A appears
    3. people ask questions
    4. team member A answers
    5. people refuse to believe
    6. team member B appears
    7. people ask questions
    8. ?
now what would be the correct action to fill no. 8?
we can see that the key in this algorithm is action no. 5
if the member repeat action no. 4, action no. 5 will occurs
thats why t-ara fill no. 8 with: refuse to answer
all because of action no. 5
and now we can all see that t-ara is not some cowardly group who chooses to avoid problems
instead theyre a group with solid logic

The left most words sums it all for me.... Thank you for posting the picture.
I really support Eunjung & Hyomin's position during the interview.. for me Soyeon has told T-ara's side of the story (not CCM's) in her Chosun Ilbo interview, no more words are needed, its up to each individual to decide for themselves what do they believe or not..
The only way to shut up the antis now is to show that T-ara members are no longer easy targets for their type of cyber-bullying and the way to achieve this is not through words (it will only inflame them more) but through action. I don't think T-ara should release any singles and do live performances yet, but what they can do is do really-really well on their respective dramas and show that they are still high-rating earners.
As mob mentality goes, when the antis who actively spread malicious rumors and write despicable comments on message boards figure out that the general public (not niche market K-pop fans) are actually into T-ara dramas, I think there will be a sharp decline in the number of the actual active antis (the guys who take the time to actually make/fabricate things up) as it won't be that easy anymore to harass T-ara.
Bullies are cowards who prey on the weak (which is why I never believed that someone with a strong personality as Hwayoung's would ever let herself be bullied for 20 months).. Now is the time to show how strong T-ara really is.

Her mother once told some fans that Eunjung lost weight...
When I saw the photos... Oh wow she really lost weight!
Her face is definitely thinner than before.
I like her outfit and hair and all and she still pretty of course.
    But really she looks depressed.
Her eyes, her expression, even her black-colored dress...
    It looks like someone died.
Like she lost her soul or something.
Expressionless. Sometimes staring at the floor. Empty.
    Obviously she's still hurting.
And she's scared of the public
[i remember even Soyeon said she can't even eat in public anymore...
and I feel so betrayed that Hwayoung can freely attend concerts and still post cheery selcas with her sister so I guess she can enjoy beauty salons all day now and still get support and sympathy of the public]
    Anyway, back to Eunjung...
I admire her strength as she did her best to face the public.
I admire her as she tried to smile at times but of course it's clearly difficult for her to do so.
I admire her politeness as she tried to answer questions and refused to answer the irrelevant questions.
I also admire the cast members who obviously supported her and encouraged her.
I guess even Joo Ji Hoon can understand what Eunjung is going through since he was also involved in a scandal before.
I am glad that they allowed Eunjung to stay in this promising drama.
I am happy that despite the pain that they are going through, T-ara members are trying to stay strong.
I am also happy that many fans gave support to Eunjung in this press conferences and that it ended well I think.
I really hope this drama will have high ratings.
Slowly I shall see them all bouncing back to success, perhaps scarred, but definitely stronger than before.

[12.08.16] T-ara's Eunjung bows her head and refuses to answer questions about the "T-ara situation"

T-ara's Eunjung bowed her head and denied to answer questions related to the "T-ara situation."
On the 16th, SBS weekend drama "Five Fingers" held their press conference. Eunjung stated, "I thought that it would be good to face today like any other day."
An official for "Five Fingers" said to reporters before the interviews, "Eunjung will not answer any questions related to the 'T-ara situation.'" They asked for questions only relevant to the drama "Five Fingers".
A reporter said, "During the difficult situation, there is a lot of thoughts going on. How do you currently feel?" and asked Eunjung indirectly about the issue.
Eunjung said, "I'm unconditionally committed to giving my best to my work. In the given situation, I'll do my best not to cause damage for my seniors. I'll work even harder now."
She refused to answer any questions unrelated to the drama and an SBS official said again, "The cast is happy to answer questions, but they cannot answer any personal questions. Please only ask questions related to the drama." They strongly enforced reporters not to ask about the "T-ara situation" and she refused to give concrete answers, which the reporters wanted.
Eunjung later answered other questions and said that between the other T-ara members, they monitor each other. "A lot of the members are in dramas now, and we monitor each other. They're happy that I'm able to be in a big drama production and are anticipating it. The other members give me their constructive criticism and support," she said.
"I had to practice piano for the filming and cooking for inside a restaurant. I'm honored to work with these seniors and I'll do my best at this," Eunjung said. She also commented, "This is the first time I have a role where two men love me. Previously, I has a one-sided love or unrequited love where it was not mutual.
"Five Fingers" is about pianists and their past misfortunes and their current lives and dreams.

hyominheart reacted to Mongrolian in [12.08.13] T-ara on hiatus, preparing for a comeback? New song to be released end of August
So who knows, maybe they should have an issue-specific appearance? I don't know, I'm pretty short on answers, but given Mr. Kim's whirlwind of activity at the beginning of the month, he's coming off as somewhat complacent given that the commentary over anything T-ara is still ongoing. But I guess it's not his uh, tookus on the line right now, and since that flare-up early this year I've been of the opinion that Mr. Kim's willing to leave T-ara to the wolves, whether they're making bank or not - that is, he's only going to take an active interest in their welfare if the company's on the line, otherwise he'll just let things go as they go.
Anyway, can you imagine T-ara going on stage before people are ready to stomach seeing them again? I mean, if you're another masochist who reads the comments on akp articles, at the very least it's clear that there's still a lot of people who, like, are disgusted with T-ara right now - and not for fandom reasons, but for supposed moral reasons (so they tell themselves). We're already half-way through August, that means Mr. Kim is hoping that the audiences will fritter away their negativity in under two weeks? Maybe, maybe if nothing appears in the news about them in that time, people would run out of things to talk about, if there were nothing to remind the haters of how they feel about T-ara in that time, maybe, by the slimmest of margins one could expect that T-ara could be greeted by at least a lukewarm reception by the non-fans (neutrals and worse). But we've still got Eunjung's press conference coming, which, again, will remind everyone what they think of the whole situation, and that'll at least flare things up for a few days - so if Eunjung appears later this week, it'll keep T-ara in people's minds for at least the weekend, and then there'd be just one week of (maybe) no specific T-ara news before they release. But then, they'd need to drum up the usual press announcements regarding the release, so no, there wouldn't be that one week of buffer time to let people forget more or less what they think of T-ara. And that besides, three of them will frequently be plastered on tv screens in their respective roles, those shows will be advertised in commercials and billboards and whatever, serving as another constant reminder of what's been going on.
And if they're talking full-on comeback, that means stage performances? In front of crowds that haven't yet gotten over the whole thing? I mean, the Queens, the fans, whatever, unless they come out in force and buy every ticket to those performances (or whatever - I mean fill every seat), there's gonna be a lot of people there who won't approve of seeing T-ara. It's something of a distant memory now, but anyone remember the "black ocean" SNSD stuff? And that was just over petty jealousy - the T-ara haters think they have a moral mandate to hate on these girls. I seem to remember fights breaking out back then in the SNSD thing, and really, if you, as a fan of T-ara were standing in the crowd at one of those performance shows and other crowds of people were booing T-ara or whatever, shouting hate slogans and what-not, I mean, what would you do? And given what's been going on already, I imagine the haters won't take too kindly to anyone cheering for T-ara either. And not to paint too clear a picture, but the girls will be standing on stage, what will they see and hear and what will they think and feel?
Madness! I hate just thinking about all this stuff and finding new reasons to, like, just hate Mr. Kim, but so far I don't think I've seen him back down from any of the cockamamie schemes he's announced to the press. There's no need to test the waters - it should be abundantly clear where the populace as a whole stands on the T-ara issue. I can still imagine sales being at least manageable, but it would be straight up torture to throw the girls on stage like this. Again, those stages on Inkigayo and Music Bank and whatever else, those aren't T-ara events, there won't just be T-ara fans there, like at a concert of theirs.
Like, vaya con Dios, T-ara and the fans, especially the ones in Korea, you'll see and probably do things that'll surprise you. I don't know, maybe it would be possible to somehow flood the studios, like recruit neutral friends of yours (if there are any), people who normally wouldn't go, and have them agree to cheer T-ara on or just not to cheer against them? Sounds like an unlikely plan, but short of locking down the place I'm low on ideas as to how to keep things from getting ugly.
I don't know, does anyone here have connections with the fandom in Korea? Because those fans will really need to, like, that is if they aren't already, they need to brainstorm, or just be ready.
