clearwater got a reaction from jinstroberi in [12.09.08] CAM 720p - T-ara - Sexy Love @ KPop Nature Concert
I'm happy they were given an opportunity to perform. It's their first live public performance in a concert after the controversy.
I'm happy that they were so brave to pull this performance off amidst the negative response of many Koreans.
I'm happy that it was a success.
Based on the video, it was indeed a cold and silent audience, I did not hear fan chants, and only heard those few claps after the performance. But then again we can't be so sure since there was no concrete proof of the response of the entire audience. Like @kuriya17 I also noticed Jiyeon seems to be in a rush to go off stage. I was trying to see if anyone is teary-eyed or anything but it's not so clear to see that. But I think they don't look as cheerful as their other performances.
Oh well. They probably expected worse. I'm glad it's not as bad as a black ocean like what happened to SNSD in 2008... The rumors about the T-ara black ocean going around seems to be exaggerated and it's not as huge as anti-fans want it to be. Some people probably shouted those mean things and turned off their glowsticks, but I think it did not make a huge impact. No official news whatsoever about any T-ara black ocean. Just rumors that they got booed during the 10-minute performance, which doesn't seem to be true. Seeing this video, it's "just" a cold bench, not really about booing or a black ocean.
[The audio file going around earlier (now deleted) was quite disappointing because when T-ara was announced, the reaction sounds negative and the people near the one who recorded the audio were just chatting, as if not paying attention, and after they performed, there seems to be some sarcastic remarks. Probably it's just one small cluster in the audience, not the entire audience. It's probably a failed attempt at a black ocean act.]
It's probably just that, some groups were disrespectful at that time.
Some cheap immature act of disrespect that would get them nowhere.
But during the performance, I think there were no boos. Though no fan chants either.
Whatever it is, T-ara won't disband because of what those immature audience did.
About those rumors saying T-ara cried after the performance, well, they're just that--rumors.
At least they were professional enough, they performed well and they thanked the audience.
If they were indeed hurt/affected and if they indeed cried after that Jeju concert, well, I think they are fighting even more and even stronger now. Watch the Inkigayo performance, how much they smiled and looked so happy and energetic as if mocking those anti-fans even more, "ha, the more you hate us, the more we get stronger, watch us rise again."
I do hope every T-ara member is a positive thinker. They just have to hang on and focus on their performances and cheer up because they still have supporters.
I wish them the best in their future performances. I hope they receive so much support and love from the audience.
    T-ara Fighting!

    I love this MV.
We finally got to see how they were doing while filming the SL dance/robot MV.
I'm happy to see that they still had fun despite everything that happened. (I was worried that they were all gloomy and dragging their feet to film this.)
Ah so this is the MV that includes the fans doing cover dance of SL that was supposed to be released last week?
But I thought they said 37 countries doing SL cover dance? Or maybe another MV is coming up?
I've already said this in one post, but I'll just say it again... I love that they are using the power of the internet in their favor... to promote the song. I mean, if they can't perform live, or if music shows like Music Bank didn't allow them to perform last week, or if they can't perform this song longer than they usually do, then the best way to promote it is to keep posting many MVs via the internet. If Korean netizens hate them, then, through the internet, the fans worldwide would still be able to continue to support and appreciate them.
Also, Tokyo MV, for me, means: "hey even if Korea hates T-ara right now, Japan/Tokyo still loves T-ara" or something to that effect. I really hope they release another MV showing fans worldwide dancing SL... something like Sexy World LOL Then that would be a huge slap to those haters especially those Korean anti-fans/haters. Hmmm. Looking forward to that.

clearwater got a reaction from fengzz in [12.09.10] T-ara humiliated as audience cheered "Hwayoung" at Jeju Island concert
Seeing how Jiyeon seems in a rush to go off stage after their final robotic pose, I think they were indeed affected by the negative response (the boos when T-ara was announced + cold/silent treatment). After rewatching the fancams, I really think their expressions while performing were not as bright/energetic as their music show performances.
But then again, I really think it's not that bad compared to SNSD's black ocean. The news circulating are just probably based on anti-fan accounts so it seems really "humiliating" for the reader. The article said 10 minutes but it's just 1 song so it's not 10 minutes LOL. And I can barely hear those shouts about Hwayoung or get out of the stage. The worst part I have heard is the loud negative response after T-ara was announced. That's it. Okay maybe I am underestimating it. (Honestly if I were in their place, I would just perform my best and not notice the audience because I know I can perform well and if they don't want to see me perform, it's not my problem anymore, it's their problem.) But it all boils down to the fact that "humiliation" should not be based on the netizens' or the audience's standard. I think what matters is if the T-ara members really felt humiliated that much. Or better yet, if such negative response disheartened them.
I wrote in one post that there were no news about black ocean. I guess I was wrong. I've read one article that really used the term "black ocean" so it appears so huge and bad. I do hope that this pseudo-black ocean helped gain sympathy for them instead (but who am I kidding, those anti-fans are probably laughing at them now) . I hope T-ara members also know about that comment I've been always reading/seeing: "SNSD got black ocean twice, but look at how successful they have become." I hope they can take some inspiration by that so they can stay optimistic.
I've said this before. No one deserves to be treated with disrespect like this.
T-ara may be hurt by the response in this Jeju concert, but I also believe that their fighting spirit and determination just got even stronger. Watch the Inkigayo performance. After a painful night, they get up again the following day and showed us an even more energetic and powerful performance. I'm holding onto their previous statement that they will perform like it's their last and that they are going to have a mindset of rookies. So I guess the more negative response they get, they will just strive harder so they can give their best performance every time they perform. Show them, T-ara. I know you can.
Remember that the controversy started with their tweets on determination and haters and netizens have been mocking them using the term "determination" ever since. Oh well, T-ara didn't tweet it for nothing. They got hated for it. But now, I think it's time for T-ara to show the public, especially those haters, what determination really means.

Cool, I like to see them perform this song. They all sing well. Ahreum raps well too.
I actually love this song. I love the sad and haunting melody. Especially when used in the SL drama MV.
The song's MV is quite boring... but the song, although sad, is nice.
It's great to see Ahreum being promoted (although I really want other T-ara members Soyeon and Eunjung to sing this too).
Actually I just miss Eunjung's ballad voice.
Oh well, at least because of this song, I got to know who Shannon is.
I watched her Star King performances especially her Phantom of the Opera performance. Wow, talented kid!
Will she be a solo artist or a member of a girl group (5Dolls)? I hope CCM won't mess up on her career.
I guess I'll be looking forward to Shannon's performances from now on too.

Ok I just saw it in GomTV. Nothing new from the dance version except more screen time and close ups of the robots/clowns. I think it's sort of a cleaner edit. I also think they decreased the sexy dance moves.
Tomorrow: another MV with cover dance from different cities in the world.
Next week: another MV with Little T-ara!
Yay! So many surprises in store. I never expected them to release many MVs this comeback.
    I like it.
It's as if they're saying to those haters/knetizens and those broadcasting stations cutting them off from shows: "if you can't air our shows or if you cut us from shows, we will produce lots of MVs to be circulated in the internet so people can still watch us." Besides, through MVs and any other videos uploaded in the internet, they may piss off those irrationally-hating-K-netizens BUT they can surely capture the hearts of everyone else around the world.
Using the power of the internet to their advantage!
Hmmm. KKS, I really hope you know what you're doing. You can't afford to make mistakes this time.

LOL daebak! Even after the controversy many people are still curious and interested in them, whether fan or anti-fan.
    Bad publicity is still publicity.
They may have gained a lot of anti-fans, but I believe they also gained a lot of TRUE fans this time.
Others may hate them because of the rumors, but they have to admit they still love them for the music.
As of this moment, which is less than 24 hours of the release of the dance MV, there are 394,169 views, 24,984 likes, 9,909 dislikes.
Wow that's so many in such a short time!
I am happy they are back.
I love the song and dance and I really hope it tops the charts.
At the end of the day, it's music... awesome T-ara music.

@min young: i didn't love them as long as you did, but I felt the pain and hurt as well >.<
@clearwater: wow. That is a very brief summary of how you fell for T-ara. I like it In my case, I first knew about T-ara through the song, Wonder Woman. But I only started noticing and checking them out last September. It was the period of time after they concluded their Roly Poly Promos and before their Cry Cry Comeback. So I had the time to trace back all their past performances, varieties, interviews and there I fell for them^^*
And just like you, because of T-ara, I know the brand Tony Moly, and I'm even using their products now. And I don't think I'll stop using them because the products are good. Even though I'm pretty upset that they dropped T-ara. But I hope they'll get them back to endorse for them again (:
July was supposed to be my happiest month of the year because it was my birthday month T.T Moreover my birthday is on 28th July, and yet the controversy started around those days. That totally ruined my birthday, and also T-ara's very own 3rd anniversary on the 29th. I couldn't believe everything that happened and was in a state of shock and depression for days. The month of August is a terrible month to endure. I guess I managed to survive by hanging around in Diadem, where there are so many like-minded Queen's who still love and support the girls Thank God it's September now and I believe things should be getting better~
Don't be sad. If you happen to derive happiness when T-ara performs on stage like I do, very soon we our hearts shall be filled with joy! *optimism*

    I love WooJung!
Allow me to use this post to tell you how WooJung/WGM brought me to T-ara.
Initially, Dream High brought me to Eunjung.
After that, I knew about T-ara but I didn't bother to look further.
Cry Cry caught my attention though. I love the melody. I love the MV too.
Then Eunjung brought me to WGM/WooJung.
I got curious because of the WGM review in Dramabeans.
I told myself I'll just try the first few episodes and then if it's good I'll watch at least an episode a day.
So I did watch... starting this July 2012.
    Got addicted.
Finished all WooJung episodes until Lombok Wedding episode... in a week.
WooJung finally brought me to T-ara fandom.
The WooJung episodes featuring T-ara songs really made me curious.
Even the MV where Jangwoo appeared, plus the Gayo Daejun performance.
Got addicted to Roly Poly because even Jangwoo's mom knew how to dance that song.
I eventually listened to all their albums and watched their MVs.
Learned how to dance Roly Poly. I gave up on Lovey Dovey shuffle dance though. LOL
I also love to shop in Tony Moly!!!
I was very excited during Day by Day promotions.
Jangwoo is MC of Music Bank and I want to see possible WooJung interactions. -->thanks to WooJungIsLove.com
And of course, since Jangwoo is in the studio he gets to watch Eunjung perform.
I also watched the other music shows like Music Core and Inkigayo.
I even watched Running Man Idol Olympics episode.
I got excited for Five Fingers.
I got excited for Sexy Love release (especially the MV continuation of DBD)
All these happened in my July.
    Then T-ara controversy broke out.
Then suddenly I participated in defending T-ara in comment sections in kpop sites.
Oh well. I got in too deep in this fandom I got so invested in a short time.
It's unfortunate on my part considering I was new to the fandom and suddenly it's crumbling down.
But of course I won't turn my back on them. I am supporting them even more.
I've been quite inspired by Dream High... I root for underdogs and victims to stand up and rise from the fall.
Sad that netizens want Eunjung out of 5F and WGM.
Sad that even Tony Moly (and other endorsements) will not renew their contract with them.
I was still hopeful for the fate of WooJung and T-ara though.
Then WooJung couple ended their WGM stint. Shock.
Then Five Fingers too, no more. Shock.
Oh well. I wish T-ara can come back stronger. I know they can. I hope.
As regards WGM, I shall forever cherish WooJung. I miss them.
The last episode still makes me cry every time I watch it.
It's so unfortunate that WooJung had to end in this kind of circumstances.
So sad that Eunjung lost and had been losing a lot of things.
    Oh well.
If I have time I shall watch all the 52 episodes again.
Still sad up to now, but I guess I will remain optimistic.
    WooJung Fighting!

"If she ignores the situation and chooses to leave the drama unconditionally, then the viewers’ wounds might feel more comfortable, but the heart will not be cured."
---> Round of applause, standing ovation. I agree. Face palm to all those who cut T-ara in their shows especially Five Fingers and WGM. I have been hoping that continuing with their dramas and other TV appearances (and ignoring the public's rage) would actually make T-ara grow on them despite the controversy. That way, the viewers would have no choice but to see their faces anyway and then eventually get comfortable with them because that's what's available on TV, and then they would eventually see that T-ara doesn't deserve those hate because they seem nice pretty and kind plus they act well. So it should have been, "I'm PD of this drama if you don't want to watch then don't. I'm sure there are people who will watch anyway. Your rage won't control me."
Instead, the public's rage controlled them. Cowards. Tsk tsk. Cutting them off like that would just affirm the public's clouded mind and so unclouded minds would think, "ah so even the PD agrees and cuts them off so I guess the rumor is true" or people would say "oh so it's a bigger issue than I thought." So instead of clearing it up by removing them, their removal just made it messier. Probably the drama would be off the hook, but to the expense of the actress. Then the actress would have nowhere to go to because you abandoned her when you were her supposed to be her source of strength. And then the actress would not appear anymore and would just be nothing but a smeared name and a bunch of photos, hated and bashed through media and internet, no chance to regain respect because you took that chance away.
"Even if the surrounding circumstances are loud and noisy, isn’t it a good thing that the actors’ acting and the production team’s hardwork together receive praise for the drama?”
---> I totally agree. The Five Fingers production team failed to trust their material and actors. If they only thought "ah we have an amazing cast, plot and script, no controversy would stop us from doing this, we can receive praise if we work hard enough" things would have been better and Eunjung could probably gain respect again through the drama. Instead, they didn't want anything to do with the mess, just got coward and selfish, cut the rope that Eunjung tries hard to hang into.

Some people are saying it's too late, and that damage was done.
Perhaps, yes, it could have been done earlier to save them from more losses like 5F.
But then again, what's done was done.
Perhaps they were too shocked and even disappointed at that time that it took them a month to have courage to do this.
Perhaps they were all too depressed and numb to do anything then.
Perhaps they themselves were even so disappointed at KKS's actions that they were having internal disagreements too.
We don't know because we're not with them, it's difficult to judge them for not speaking up sooner.
But we must remember that we can't turn back time.
The important thing is both parties spoke up.
    Better late than never.
    They all have suffered.
    They lost many things already.
For those haters who want them punished, they have received too much "punishment" already.

They have learned things the hard way already.
T-ara may be idols but they are humans too and can make mistakes.
We, as fans, have also been frustrated a lot because of the bad news coming up each day.

“It is not an issue that can be solved by leaving the drama."

Looks like Soyeon is so fortunate to be treated well by people from Haeundae Lovers. I guess it also helps that Davichi's Kang Min Kyung, another artist from CCM, is there as well... and hmm even Nam Gyu Ri who was formerly from CCM (could she give tips on how to break away from CCM successfully? LOL).

I really feel sorry for Eunjung. All her fans are outraged and devastated too. Eunjung must be feeling more than devastated. Everything she worked hard for went down the drain. She worked on her hair too, she practiced piano, she practiced her lines, and now she must be feeling like she's in hell. What's worse, she might be even blaming herself for this even if she has no fault. I am glad that she has a very supportive family. I have faith that she can get through this.
She's hurting more than ever now. This is the biggest blow so far for her. She entered the entertainment industry to follow her acting dreams and now it seems like the industry turned its back on her. She looked so lifeless and empty when she attended the 5F press conference yet she maintained her professionalism and controlled her emotions to be less of a burden to the 5F team. I thought that her source of strength at that time is the very idea that despite everything she lost due to the T-ara controversy, she still has her acting career at least, and she must have been holding on to it so tightly. But what happened yesterday is the very moment she probably feared: to lose that drama... the drama she chose among other offers, the drama close to her heart because of her mother (piano, acting, reaching dreams)... the drama she cared so much for, that she allegedly gave up other things like WGM just so she can focus on it... And then suddenly she gets betrayed in the vilest and most inconsiderate, unprofessional, unethical way. It's like she was stabbed in the back, not just through any blow but through the moist poisonous and the most lethal weapon that it hurts so bad... not just any hurt.... it probably hurts like she was stabbed a gazillion times, and then put through fire, then thrown in the darkest pit.
Since the T-ara controversy made her lose a lot of things, it seemed that 5F was her supposed lifeline... It gave her hope to carry on. I read somewhere that before, they had to really push and insist to KKS to get them dramas. After the controversy, and after 5F, her future is uncertain because drama offers have probably stopped. And so Eunjung has to hold on to it tight. Now that even 5F is gone... one can only imagine the feeling, like you want to get angry at everything... Oh I can only wish that Eunjung remains strong. I hope she remains calm. I hope she can still think positive. She still has a lot of supporters.
I hope she learned enough from playing Yoon Baek Hee in Dream High... It's not the end of her story... she'll learn from these and she'll come back stronger. I wish someone gives her that K-pendant to remind her to keep on fighting for her dreams.
As for Five Fingers production team, I am still disappointed in them, I really hope they regret what they did. And I really hope they're not like enjoying themselves right now because they got rid of Eunjung. As for those sponsors who pressured them to ditch Eunjung, I hope they realize that they made a wrong decision and I am hopeful that... they don't just realize it... I am hopeful that they will see and feel the backlash from Eunjung's fans. Eunjung's fans are mature, but when it comes to violation of Eunjung's rights... ah... you've got to realize that it's a wrong move to listen to anti-fans and ignore the fans. Fans, when angered, are scary too you know.
As for Jin Se Yeon, READERS, FORGIVE ME FOR MY HONESTY IN THESE SUCCEEDING WORDS SKIP IT IF YOU WANT... as much as she seems innocent in this, I really can't take out anymore the idea in my head that she was some kind of an opportunist, that she was too eager to snatch Eunjung's role the moment the production team gets rid of her. She's supposedly Eunjung's friend and Eunjung even supported Gaksital probably because of her... and she probably knows that Eunjung owns the role... I don't know... Somehow I think her role in the movie White who wanted to be get the lead/center role of the girl group, sort of mirrors this situation, like they're competing for the lead role of this drama. Sorry I can't help it... Se Yeon's role in the movie White... she got chosen for the lead role at some point... but she died because of it. Paid for the greed. Ugh. I guess it's good that Eunjung is safe 'coz she's not the lead. THERE I SAID IT. SORRY. I mean no harm. Sorry for thinking those evil words... I guess I am looking for some defense mechanism but I ended up thinking these. I just want to let it out, so I can move on. Forgive me.
As regards the Sexy Love comeback single... I am no longer sure if they will push through with Aug. 29 release. I have a hunch it's not pushing through again because Eunjung suffered such a painful blow just 7 days before the release. Somehow I really want them all to go on a hiatus for some months just so they can rest, reflect, recharge and regain some confidence. I know I have posted a lot of things ever since the controversy started that I was excited for the release of Sexy Love more than ever. I am sorry. I guess I was too selfish, I was only thinking of my own entertainment. I guess the girls really need some time off. Yesterday's events made me realize how much tortured they are already by the public and the industry who turned their backs on them. They have their limits too as humans and it's probably not wise to risk whatever cards they have remaining in their hands. Or perhaps they can release it not in Korea. Perhaps in other countries, where they still have so much supporters who are willing to accept them again after the controversy. Seriously CCM, how about learning from your mistakes this time and know how to properly manage the group? Oh well... Whatever they decide, I hope it's for the welfare of everyone, especially of the T-ara members. I am still hoping that they can survive this by staying strong. Let's not lose hope for them.
Whatever I said in this post, I want to clarify it in a few words... I wish the best for everyone, I mean no harm... but those who wronged people should definitely pay.
    Eunjung Fighting! T-ara Fighting!
