South Korean diva girl group T-ara will be holding their Hefei concert at the Hefei Olympic Stadium on the 24th of October, 2015 (Saturday). T-ara has garnered huge amounts of attention due to their Hefei concert. For starters, this is T-ara’s debut concert under the newly set-up entertainment agency, Banana Project, by one of China’s wealthiest men, Wang Si Cong. Furthermore, T-ara will not only perform songs from their latest mini album 'So Good,' but also several Chinese Pop songs. Up til now, only three members (Jiyeon, Hyomin and Eunjung) have performed their solo songs for their China concerts. To spice things up, all members will have a solo performance and will display charms that are unique to each of them. In particular, Soyeon will be performing a Chinese song '挥着翅膀的女孩' (literal translation of Chinese version: 'The Girl That Spreads Her Wings'; original Cantonese/English version 'My Pride.') This will be T-ara’s first time singing a cover of a Chinese song, showing the amount of sincerity and hard work put in by Soyeon. T-ara also have interactive activities lined up for the fans. T-ara’s latest mini album 'So Good' has earned the group multiple top spots on various music charts in China and has received support from fans of all ages. [15.10.08] Rumour - Eunjung casting for MicroLove For those who are unaware, there is an unconfirmed news that Eunjung will be appearing in a Thai Movie "MicroLove" with James Ma (a Thai-Chinese actor). It is romantic comedy themed, and it will begin filming this year and premiere will happen next year. It was first surfaced when James (or his manager?) updated in his Instagram on 8 Oct. Today, there were IG and Facebook updates of Eunjung and James. Nothing is confirmed at this moment but T-ARA is fast gaining valuable exposure and rise in popularity beyond Korea. Korean girl group T-ara's Park Hyomin and Hahm Eunjung, and Korean actress Kang Bo Bae visited Penang for the first time. They could not wait to try all the delicacies of Penang and visited the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion (The Blue Mansion). They were greeted by the owners with Nyonya pastries and helped themselves to the food in front of various Penang media! The three of them went to Brunei earlier to promote McSSY's cosmetic products and came down to Penang for a short vacation. They were excited to visit Penang for the first time and decided to make full use of these few days to explore Penang's various famous attractions. "We used to hear that Penang is the pearl of the Eastern regions, I think that the culture here is really interesting. We are very happy to visit Penang and want to visit many attractions, like the camera museum," Eunjung said during the interview. Hyomin added that they had already tried Chao Kway Teow (stir-fried Chinese noodles with flat noodles, cockles and pork sausage slices), Chendol (green worm-like jelly noodles made from rice flour, served with coconut milk, shaved ice and palm sugar), oyster omelette and Melacca ice cream. They hope to try even more local delicacies. Kang Bo Bae laughed and said she quenched her thirst with Penang's beer the moment they landed at Penang. "I'll be busy next month as I'll be filming a Korean daily drama. I can't reveal the title of the drama just yet, but I'll be focusing more on television appearances," Kang Bo Bae said. The 3 of them just arrived in Penang late yesterday night, which coincides with the Mid-Autumn Festival (Chuseok/Hangawi for Koreans). They really hope to try local mooncakes (Chinese pastry, usually with lotus paste filling). "Mid-Autumn Festival is a festive day where family members gather together. Because of work commitments and schedules, we missed this chance. Nevertheless, we are feeling warm because of the company of so many fans." They (Eunjung and Hyomin) said that they had never forgotten the warmth and passion from their Malaysian fans. They had visited Malaysia quite a few times now and even attended the Sultan of Johor's coronation ceremony earlier this year. This is their first time in Penang and they hope that there will more opportunities in the future for them to explore Malaysia. Lau Keng Ee Transforms Into a Fan T-ara's popularity is really huge. When they were in Penang, reporters and passers-by would rush to take pictures with them. Even member of state Pengkalan Kota, Lau Keng Ee transformed into a fan and took a picture with the three of them for remembrance.
