Oh Jong Hyuk and Soyeon have recently agreed to break-up from being lovers and remain as a senior-junior relationship. Singer and musical actor Oh Jong Hyuk and Soyeon, busily having activities in Korea, China and Japan, decided they were unable to keep up with the relationship.
This piece of news was revealed by both Oh Jong Hyuk and Soyeon’s agencies. It can be confirmed from their SNS pages too. Oh Jong Hyuk and Soyeon’s SNS accounts show that they are no longer friends. Likewise, Click B’s members are no longer friends with Soyeon on various SNS pages too.
Before the both of them started dating, they started off with a senior-junior and singer-fan relationship in the entertainment industry. Oh Jong Hyuk debuted in 1999 with Click B while Soyeon was a fan of him before debuting in 2009 with T-ara. Soyeon’s affection towards Oh Jong Hyuk was revealed on a broadcast and became widely known afterwards. Before Soyeon debuted with T-ara, she spent all of her allowance as a trainee and bought a sofa as present to be sent to Click B’s dormitory. This was also widely known among fans.
Oh Jong Hyuk and Soyeon’s relationship started since December 2010 and was only first revealed to the public in September 2013. They were having their 1000th day celebration party and their date was captured and reported by various media. Both of their agencies then revealed at that time, “they have been dating for almost 3 years now.”
Oh Jong Hyuk enlisted in the Marine Corps in April 2011. Even then and after, Soyeon was still passionately caring for him. Even when Soyeon was busy with schedules, she would call, write letters, and even visit Oh Jong Hyuk secretly so as not to let the media find out about their relationship. Likewise, Oh Jong Hyuk was by Soyeon’s side and her huge pillar of strength when T-ara was having their hardest times after debut. He was able to give her warmth and support when T-ara had various kinds of rumours and scandals harming them.
Unfortunately, Oh Jong Hyuk and Soyeon’s 6-year love had to be ended. Starting from a star-fan relationship to being lovers, Oh Jong Hyuk and Soyeon had eventually decided to remain in a senior-junior relationship.

Because I listen to my company well.” T-ara's Soyeon reveals the secret to “long-life” for girl groups.   Soyeon filmed for a pictorial shoot with BNT recently and sat down for an interview.   Soyeon, who debuted almost 8 years ago, was asked for her thoughts about a possible secret that helped girl group T-ara survive for almost 8 years now. She replied, “I think it’s because I listen to my company very well. This is something that the members and I recognize and agreed among ourselves too. As idols, our company has kind of taken on a role of our parents, taught us a lot of things and have suggested good directions for us too. That’s probably why we're able to be around till now.”   T-ara carved an impression on the public with their unique styles and concepts. When asked about the reason why T-ara receives love from the public, she explained, “perhaps it’s because T-ara, as a group, puts in a lot of effort in whatever we do and that’s kind of beautiful. Also, instead of thinking that we want to display charismatic performances or good music, we think about how to appeal to different types of age groups. Apart from Beijing and Shanghai, T-ara visited Chengdu, Guangzhou, Harbin, Hunan Province, Zhejiang Province, and many other areas in China.
T-ara began their advancement into China after their remake of the song Little Apple, originally sang by Chopstick Brothers, a duo considered the Chinese version of Korean viral sensation, PSY.
The song was originally made to promote a Chinese movie Old Boy which Chopstick Brothers starred in. Chopstick Brothers and T-ara filmed the music video remake and which was featured on Youku and Tudou home pages, boosting T-ara’s popularity and recognition within China within a short period of time.
After seeing this, the son of an extremely wealthy Chinese tycoon Wang Si Cong set up an entertainment agency and signed a contract with T-ara. As a result of this music video, T-ara became even more famous in countries such as Thailand and Vietnam too.
But above all, T-ara’s popular songs that give a special feeling to listeners are the reasons why T-ara enjoys such popularity in China. Little Apple is a song that does not fit other Korean girl groups well but somehow, fits T-ara very well. Little Apple’s melody is different from T-ara’s hit song Roly Poly but the mood of both songs are quite similar.
Perhaps it’s because T-ara’s retro dance and ballad songs give off a kind of familiar and comfortable flavour. The songs are also accompanied with a sense of sadness. It is said that this kind of music style fits the general Chinese population’s taste very well.
