[13.07.14] T-ara's Soyeon passes the leadership title to Qri!


Girl group T-ara has replaced leader Soyeon with Qri. This is the norm for T-ara and Qri will be the group's fifth leader.

T-ara's agency revealed that coming with T-ara's next album release and the departure of Areum, Qri will replace Soyeon as the leader. Following Eunjung, Boram, Hyomin and Soyeon, Qri will be the fifth leader of the group.

T-ara's agency said to OSEN on the 14th, "Replacing the leader when activities changed in the group is part of the group. Qri will be the new leader for the upcoming activities."

The announcement comes after Soyeon held the leader title from January 2012, approximately one and a half years later. On the 13th, Qri held the stage at the Budokan arena in Tokyo, Japan for the first time.

Qri said on the day of the show, "I really enjoyed today as my first day as leader and want fans to look forward to a brighter T-ara." The auditorium filled with 9,000 fans applauded and cheered for her.

Meanwhile, for the first time in three years, T-ara returns back to their original six member line up. They are working on collecting songs for a comeback late next year. For now, T-ara's junior group 5dolls is going to have a comeback instead.

On the 10th, it was announced that Areum would leave T-ara for a solo career.

T-ara's Dani and 5dolls Han Nayeon's cute selca has been revealed.
On October 13th, Core Contents Media revealed a picture of T-ara's Dani with 5dolls Hanna as they prepare together for T-ara's comeback and 5dolls comeback which are in early 2013.
The two girls have became close and developed an unnie-dongsaeng relationship since they both lived abroad for a long time and are taking both rap and dance lessons together.
Dani said, "I'm practicing hard for when I stand on stage with the T-ara unnies" while Nayeon said, "I hope there can be continued attention towards 5dolls until when we greet fans soon."
Meanwhile, Dani was introduced in T-ara's "Day by Day" and "Sexy Love" drama music video. She will bring a new fresh image to T-ara in 2013.

[12.07.03] T-ara's "Day by Day" gets an allkill on charts, "Happy tears"





T-ara's new song "DAY BY DAY" got an allkill on online music sites.
T-ara's "DAY BY DAY" audio and music video were released today (July 3rd) at noon and got an explosive reaction. Soon after being released, they were #1 on Melon, Bugs, Cyworld, Mnet and Soribada. The music video also reached #1 on GomTV just 30 minutes after the video was released.
When the T-ara members heard the news of "Day by Day" allkill they were in practice and all were moved to tears and did a group hug. T-araq said, "The format of the SF and fantasy music video is different from the normal kinds of music videos so we had a lot of worries, but we're so thankful for the attention and love. We'll work harder to become a better T-ara."
T-ara will begin their full scale promotions beginning on July 7th at MBC "Music Core".

[12.06.26] T-ara's Soyeon cast in KBS drama "Haeundae Lovers"





T-ara's leader Soyeon has been cast in the drama "Haeundae Lovers".
"Haeundae Lovers" begins airing on KBS after "Big" and is a romantic comedy that centers on prosecutor Lee Taesung (Kim Kangwoo) who chases after gangsters but ends up losing his memory. Soyeon will play the role of Lee Gwansun, a bright and bubbly character.
Soyeon previously showed off her acting skills in the musical "Our Youth Roly-Poly" and the SBS drama "Giant" but this will be her first time acting in a permanent recurring role.
Soyeon said, "Eunjung has been steadily acting since she was a child and Hyomin and Jiyeon who also acted before were eager to give me a lot of adivce. I'll work hard in my first drama role to make sure Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon aren't embarrassed by my acting skills."
KBS "Haeundae Lovers" features Kim Kangwoo, Jun Sukwon, Jo Yoojung and begins airing on August 13th after "Big" finishes.

Beyonce's "Single Ladies" choreographer Jonte Moaning has taken on the choreography for T-ara's new album.
In the past, Jonte has choreographed Miss A's "Touch". T-ara will reveal a new song "DAY BY DAY" on July 7th, but before then they will release a dance teaser.
T-ara's officials said, "T-ara's dance team YAMA&HOTCHICKS went to New York recently for five days and six nights to learn the choreography of 'DAY BY DAY' with Jonte. After learning, they'll fly back to Korea to organize and teach T-ara the choreography." T-ara will release a teaser video for their new album featuring Jonte on the 24th at 3:00 KST via GomTV.
Meanwhile, T-ara will be promoting as eight members for their new album and then later this year become nine.
Currently, T-ara is preparing for their concerts in Japan and Thailand as well as their fanclub opening ceremony on July 14th.

All things considered, if Dani didn't want the hate coming in for her, she could have goddamn refused to be put into T-ara. Why did she even comply? Personal greed got the better of her? Going by her age, she's only a year older than my younger brother.
I suspect her age as well as the other member is even a possible ploy in pressuring Boram and Qri out of the group in an effort to lower the age average - something KKS intended with Hwa Young's addition back in 2010 (which obviously wasn't so successful back then).
If KKS's claims that the new members' vocals are off the charts are correct, then this could also potentially pressure So Yeon to leave as well, not to mention So Yeon's only a year younger than the two oldest members - and for any So Yeon fan out there, we all know she was the one who actually went up against KKS on TV a couple months back during the Lovey Dovey promotions. This might as well be his way of punishing her to the fullest, unrightfully so.
Also, I think we can even say that Ji Yeon's 'matured' in terms of image - this could mean Ji Yeon's outlived her days as being the youngest of the group in KKS's mind, unfortunately. Ji Yeon's also got the largest amount of fans out of all T-ara members and her popularity rivals that of Eun Jung easily - knock her out of her place as maknae of the group, and her fans would probably make a huge fit - as far as I've heard, Ji Yeon also has the largest number of stans of all of T-ara.
I cannot even begin to imagine what Boram, Qri and So Yeon's personal reactions would be regarding the new member additions as well as the recent news update of it. At this rate, T-ara will end up becoming like After School.
Suffice to say, KKS and CCM in general are deplorable. They should just stick with making duets and solo singers. Idols? Never. Just look how they effed up with 5dolls and Co-Ed. They were miraculously lucky with T-ara and for me, that luck looks like it'll run out sooner or later. The question is how much longer will the current members (especially the original 6) will tolerate KKS's abusive bullsh!t before the bomb explodes, as it had been ticking since March.
SuJu's Hangeng ended up with a kidney disease and gastritis as a result of SM not giving him a single day of rest for two years straight - just imagine what T-ara could have, considering they worked without a day of rest for THREE years.

I can't understand how KKS can do it that to T-ara, 14 years old? she is a baby.
When I see the news I was convinced that anybody rumored this, but I see that not... I wait that she won't be in T-ara, how CCM says: "We have decided on the two new members, but it's not a confirmation yet. Depending on how things out, a different member than what is planned now may join." Please, change her.
If KKS says that, it is because he knows that the fans wouldn't accept her.

This is some ridiculous reasoning; how exactly does adding members stop them from "becoming lazy?" And how are they lazy, has anyone seen their freaking schedule lately?

You know what, F- Kim Kwang Soo.
If another member is added that will seriously drive me to believe my theory that KKS is trying to make T-ara into SNSD. If he can do 7, then, 8, why not push it to 9, where the top girl group is at. Then sooner or later, he'll want to push into US Market and find a Teddy Riley-like guy to help him. Wake up, Kim Kwang Soo!
If another member is not added, then I hope that it's not breaking into sub-units like After School did with their Red/Blue/Orange Caramel. Yes, it was kind of interesting to see them submerge into different genres, but After School did it for so long without actually coming back together to make a comeback that it's like "Wtf happened to A.S.?"
Lastly, I hope this "member shift" is positive like a "solo debut", like Big Bang does with their members. They all separated for a while to do their own thing, but remained relevant and came back as Big Bang eventually. I could see a Soyeon x Eunjung collab like GD & Top did their thing.
Please Kim Kwang Soo, whatever you're thinking/ doing, don't mess up T-ara.
