Speaking of OneHallyu, now that I think about it, it's been over 2 years since I even posted there O_o That being said....in this day and age, people should have seen at least 3, if not even 2 movies from any of these series (especially if you were born in the 1990s). . Star Wars . Terminator . Jurassic Park . Lord of the Rings . Matrix . Predator . Alien On Saturday, to my utter surprise, one person I know actually admitted she never saw any of them. It was funny at first, but now that I think about it, I'm not sure whether to still laugh at that fact or actually feel sorry. I'm gonna bet that person hasn't even seen any of the Toy Story, Indiana Jones and Pirates of the Caribbean either.

Not really....unless I'm invited, though that's about as likely as Obama getting drunk in public. TPBM knows at least one person who he/she highly suspects to dislike him/her immensely, but can't be sure of it entirely either.

I actually thought the AKP forums wasn't *that* bad, but then again, that was in early 2012, nearly 3 years ago. On the other hand though, other places like Netizenbuzz, Onehallyu and to a degree, Youtube, aren't really pretty to look at either. All the more why I don't bother posting anywhere in those places nowadays, largely. In other news, I just don't understand why scumbags like Anjem Choudary aren't even punished for their crimes, yet alone why there are people that actually support his lunatic beliefs. If they hate Western culture, laws and society and desire Sharia Law to replace it so much, they can always just move over to ISIS territory en masse. Obviously they're 100% incapable of fitting in and contribute to the society of the country they're residing, and it's not like anything's stopping them from leaving Europe for ISIS.

In 2012 alone, in a study done by the Department of Justice’s Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention, it was shown that young black males committed 6 times more murders, 3 times more rapes and assault and 10 times more robberies. The only crimes where their white counterparts did worse in proportion were liquor law violations, drunk-driving and drug abuse. Similarly, the FBI's Crime Uniform Report in 2008 also reported that although black youths make up just 16% of the youth population, they accounted for 52% juvenile violent crime arrests, including 58% for homicide and 67% for robbery. Also, according to the CDC in 2011, 93% of all murder victims were murdered by people who were of the same race as them - for black males ages 15-24 and 25-34, homicide was the leading cause of death at 40%, far higher than Caucasians, Asians, Hispanics, Pacific Islanders etc. I think that says quite a bit. For one thing, white police officers aren't the leading cause of death in homicide cases where a young black man is a victim, but the mainstream media and some other certain folks make it seem like it is, and unnecessarily blow it out of proportion. Oddly enough, the total number of white men shot by police officers is higher than black men. Even black civil rights advocates like Van Jones and the mayor of Philadelphia Michael Nutter (both blacks, by the way) have pretty much agreed and confirmed that it's not a matter of white cops being racist or naturally inclined to act more violent to black youths faster than other ethnic groups - it is aspects of the culture in black communities that are the problem. Among those are things like the so-called 'knockout game' which originates from teenage black gangs, who go around randomly sucker-punching anyone in the face for no reason. When you have such like that are common as well as the stated statistics, I think it's only natural that police officers - regardless of their skin color - are going to be much more wary when dealing with criminals that are black youths. Replace black youths and black community with Asian, Hispanic, Caucasion etc. but having the same kind of culture and social environment, and it wouldn't be any different. This isn't even a case of racism (or me being racist/having beef against black people) - it's simply fact, and you can find plenty of articles out there that report similar things, many of them pointing out that the kind of communities that a good lot of black people in the US live in are the deep sole root of the issue, but that is almost never mentioned, if at all, by the mainstream media. 2. Officer Wilson not being heavily injured is irrelevant. I don't think he would have allowed to let Brown get physical at him, because it would then put his own life at much further risk. If some guy that was 6ft tall guy built like a tank was say, robbing your house or came charging at you waving his fists out of nowhere etc, are you just going to let him do so and only defend yourself/put him down after he actually beats the pulp out of you or run away with your belongings? In such a situation, obviously, calling the police and waiting for them to come and stop the guy before the worst happens isn't very practical, or realistic for that matter. I think this is where much of our differences can be explained; I don't know about the demographics of the Netherlands, the SOP the Dutch police operate in, the general crime rate and statistics or about the racial history of the country but it's safe to say that there are massive differences in all aspects between the Netherlands and the US, which ultimately makes the comparison a bit unfair. I'd imagine neither of the SOPs the police of both countries use is anywhere near compatible to one another. Such comparisons are like comparing the military strength and capabilities of say, Iraq to Russia, or France to North Korea etc. It just doesn't match up at all.

1. There's also a lot of evidence that suggests that Wilson had every reason to shoot him - and was attacked. Nor is there any actual convincing evidence that he has some ripe against black people, yet alone shot Brown because he dislikes black people for whatever various reason there is. 2. My granddad had served as a police officer himself for well over 20 years, and was also ROK Air Force CID (criminal investigation department), and back when the ROK itself was ridden with crime (whether in the military or in general society), more so than often, people that attempted to attack police officers - whether they were armed or unarmed - either got incapacitated severely to the point they no longer posed a threat (usually enough to be hospitalized), or put down through lethal force, depending on what the officer was equipped with. That being said though, those that were armed and were to arrest criminals could put them down if said criminals attacked them first - this was particularly common during when the police and military were cracking down on organized crime and those associated with them in the early 80s. At least in his experience, officers that didn't carry firearms - especially when raiding gang-owned infrastructure - were more prone to injury, if not death. Typical LEO procedure when it comes to taking down an attacking suspect/criminal is for the officer to neutralize the suspect as quickly as possible. A shot or even a few shots in the arm or leg doesn't really do that, especially in the first shot or two. And it certainly doesn't help if the criminal is in close proximity either. Heck, one of my uncles when he was studying in Hawaii in the late 70s recalled a Korean store owner got shot dead by a robber, but was still able to beat the guy up to a real bad pulp. IIRC, police officers aren't trained to deliberately shoot a criminal in the arm or the leg, especially with a pistol of all weapons, in which its lethality pales compared to say, a submachine gun, assault rifle or a shotgun - all weapons that are used by police officers. I think it's safe to say that a 9mm handgun wouldn't really do much good if it was fired at a big guy like Brown - after all, there's plenty of reports from troops in Afghanistan complaining that the 5.56x45mm caliber doesn't do enough to put down Taliban militants who get back up despite multiple hits, and that's with assault rifles; weapons that do a heck lot more damage than a Glock, which is standard issue among most police departments in the US. In fact, a shot to the arm or leg is actually considered scientifically impractical and illogical. A medical autopsy a month ago also confirms that Brown did not have his hands up upon his death (as opposed to what certain witnesses claimed, including that of his friend, who was also arrested some years ago for theft and lying to the police), especially considering one of the bullet entry wounds was in his hand - which would strongly suggest that he was wrestling for Wilson's gun. On top of it, there's also witness claims that back Wilson's claim of what transpired - including residents of Ferguson, though who have remained silent and anonymous out of fear of retaliation. 3. Conversely, if Officer Wilson was black, Hispanic or even Asian for that matter, I think it's safe to say that the incident wouldn't have been as overly-blown out either. In the eyes of the media, the headline of 'White cop shoots unarmed black teenager' undoubtedly gains a lot of attention from the public, regardless of facts or arguments from the other side, and Obama getting personally involved doesn't help either. I don't think Wilson would really have any valid reason to lie about what transpired too - either way, he himself has probably been likely aware that his career in the Ferguson police department was over months before the legal outcome. 4. I'm not sure which school shooter you're referring to, though assuming you mean the Sandy Hook shooter, I think it's safe to say that if he hadn't committed suicide, chances are he would have been put down by the police or winded up with a very lengthy prison sentence. Conversely, the media has gone as far to pretty much brush Brown as some good innocent kid (despite the fact that he committed robbery at the very same day he was shot), just like Trayvon Martin last year - who also, was known to have committed multiple burglaries and had a history of violence before he got himself a bullet. That being said though, the scale of reactions to the verdict is just ridiculous and completely uncalled for, and I don't think that's arguable in any way. The fact that the National Guard had to be brought in says a lot of how out-of-control people have gotten. Out-of-town professional anarchists and other kinds of troublemakers that don't even live in Ferguson getting involved doesn't help either, never mind that some of the locals seem more than willing to take part in the violence with them.

Not sure if anyone's been following what's going on in Ferguson, Missouri, but good friggin' lord, it's a pure example of why I think police in the West need to take a much more stronger approach against rioters. Idiots all over the place are looting, burning up businesses and even shooting at the police station, not to mention a couple of police cars have been pretty much torched. And all over just one guy who was shot by a cop - but apparently they refuse to believe that the guy actually lunged at the cop first and was also a goddamn criminal, and think the police and courts are simply just being racist against black people with not a single shred of convincing and credible evidence to back such a claim >_> Nor does it help they think the police are using 'military gear' against them. Clearly they have no idea that law enforcement in other countries beyond the US are actually far more 'militarized' in structure and function. The US doesn't come one bit close. Apparently in their screwed up mindsets, a police department having a few armored vehicles and cops dressing up in riot gear counts as 'militarization'. Unbelievable stupidity. If those rioters continue to keep up their shenanigans, then they deserve either a long stay in prison or even getting mowed down with gunfire.
