Info, Jiyeon
Jiyeon’s “Never Ever” mini-album postponed until June 30th?
With the recent ferry disaster happening in Korea, the entertainment business has been halted to a standstill. Comebacks, drama and music show broadcasts, and TV recordings have all been put on a pause as the world waits in hope for a miracle to rescue those who are still missing.
Jiyeon’s solo debut, originally planned for April 30th, has inevitably been postponed. According to the Hottracks, which sells physical albums and DVDs, Jiyeon’s debut has actually been postponed two months until June 30th. Although there is no confirmation yet from Jiyeon’s side, Core Contents Media did update their Twitter and Facebook last week to say it would be postponed indefinitely.
One reason that Core Contents Media and Jiyeon would postpone the release so far back is because T-ara’s schedules are absolutely jam-packed for this summer! First up is the release of their third Japanese album Gossip Girls on May 15th that will be followed by Japanese promotions including a fan-meeting on June 1st in Tokyo, followed by two more on the 5th and 6th in Osaka. Then, T-ara will be having a set of concerts and performances for the video game Kingdom Under Hearts 2 in June and July across the Philippines, Indonesia and other South-East Asian countries.
Not only that, but T-ara was reported to be making a domestic comeback around August with hopefully that “Second Absolute Album” Hyomin teased us about a few months ago on Instagram! And don’t forget that Eunjung will be busy doing solo activities for filming her new movie “The Boss, The Beginning” this summer!
There is no word yet on Hyomin’s pending solo debut.
Despite this news being upsetting for fans, nothing can compare to the tragedy that happened and is still happening right now in Korea. Please continue to pray for the missing people and their family members and hope for miracles for those affected by the Sewol ferry incident.

June is not definite. Other sites have different dates.
YesAsia shows Jiyeon’s album to be released June 10.
The only thing we know for certain is that Jiyeon’s album and all other Korean comebacks have been delayed indefinitely in the wake of the ferry disaster.

If its true, then CCM is making some sense for once. The country is in mourning and having Jiyeon dancing in the water with heavy breathing in the sound track is really not a good idea.
