Throwback Thursday: T-ARA hairstyles – Sexy love vs. Number 9
T-ARA has always been known for their uniqueness in style and concepts, but how about hairstyles? Although the T-ARA members do not have exactly the most unique of hairstyles, I’m sure Queen’s have always been keeping track of their hair length, styles and of course color. T-ARA’s official Facebook page updated a photo collage of our girls and asked Queen’s if they look better with short or long hair, which brings us to today’s Throwback Thursday topic: T-ARA’s hairstyles during the Sexy Love era (2012, yes it’s been 2 years since Sexy Love now) and their recent Number 9 performance on Mnet M! Countdown: Girls Special!
Ahhh, the Sexy Love feels. Don’t you just miss it? This performance was chosen because the pictures were well-taken and it’s directly from our own gallery. Here’s the link to the full gallery. Let’s be honest here, our Queens look absolutely beautiful here, don’t they? There were comments about Qri’s hair because it was quite a big change from her previous hair style but I think the dirty green bob suits pretty well with the whole ‘robot’ concept and also her outfit! I should also say that this is probably my favourite outfit for Sexy Love (which is why I chose this set of pictures too :p) because it’s really quite a unique outfit for our girls. From the hearts and checkered patterns, to the frilly skirt and poker-ish background, it seems like this is probably one of the best wardrobe and stage combination that T-ARA’s management team had even came up with. Alright, enough of the praises for Sexy Love, because Number 9 is up next!
What’s really special about this performance is Qri isn’t in her BRIGHT red hair but wearing a brownish-pink extension (we all know she’s sporting short hair right now, don’t we); Boram isn’t with her long bangs (like in the Number 9 MV); and most importantly, Hyomin in her blonde boyish hair! Not sure about all of you, but I would take the Sexy Love hair styles any time mainly because you can see that there were a lot more effort put into coming up with the stage outfits and backdrop. Of course I’m not saying that I dislike their recent performance because of the sudden change in hair styles/lengths, but if I were to choose, I would take the Sexy Love one!
How about all of you out there? Also, let’s look forward to their upcoming come back and expect ANOTHER change in look(?)
