I don't have the exact numbers anymore, but last year, T-ara, 2NE1 and Kara all sold about 150,000 albums. Then there was F(x) with 110,000 albums and the rest was all under 50K with After School leading the "bad" troops. Miss A is a poor seller, they barely sold more than 30k. WG also sold poorly, less than 40k. Brown Eyed Girls struggled a lot at first, but ended by selling over 40K. If physical and digital are summed up, SNSD is still untouchable while T-ara is easily leading the second bash with IU and 2NE1. Kara is a bit farther behind, them and BEG are too poor on digital sales. As of Secret, they are poor album seller. They only sell an average 15K of each album, but since they've released so many material last year, and that all their songs were major digital success (Shy Boy, Starlight Moonlight, Going Crazy and Love is Move who did just ok), they're doing pretty well. Secret is an odd case. Shy Boy and Starlight Moonligth were HUGE successes, but their last album and its title song didn't do that great. It doesn't seem like the girls secured any ground of success with their hits. Like Miss A, they just have some casual listeners.

No wonder getting 1st on charts isn't their goal anymore. T-ara spent over 100 days as chart leaders this past year. Debuting overseas can be dangerous though. I hope they will stay as a Korean girl group promoting in Korea for a long time. Going after SNSD isn't anybody's reach and its such a nice goal with a friendly competition. Yes it is great. Last year, the only girl groups who crossed the 40k mark for an album are F(x), T-ara, 2NE1, Kara and SNSD. Even Wonder Girls failed to do so. Overall, T-ara completely outsold WG for their respective promotions. In short it means that, not only T-ara is a digital monster, but they're becoming a physical monster as well.

I'll say that FT will sell another 20 to 30K by the end of the year, so yeah, it will be T-ara most sold album to date. I really didn't expect FT to sell more than 20k. 43K is REALLY a lot for a repack album. So great for them. They sell an average 50K per album now, it's amazing! [12.02.10] Quick News - Funky Town sold 43,049 Copies in January Gaon has recently released its weekly and monthly charts. T-ara's 5th album, Funky Town, ranked 2nd on the Monthly charts with 43,049 copies sold. Black Eyes has also sold another 2.975 copies which brings its total to 51.180. Altogether, T-ara has sold 94.229 copies of Black Eyes and its repack Funky Town. As every month, T-ara has many album charting well. Roly Poly In Copacabana has sold another 1.586 albums and Breaking Heart 1.318. Those numbers only account from January 1st to January 31st. Endosement are like dramas or movies. The company gets a tiny % of it while the member gets the lot. I don't know for sure, but this 1 billion won is probably divided into 8 egals parts : 1 for KKS and 7 for the girls. There is also the possibility that Eunjung and Ji Yeon get bigger parts, since they are the most popular and could end up appearing more on the CFs. In any case, you can account that the girls are each getting about 100,000$ USD out of that contract.

The gap between T-ara and the other groups is goind wider and wider..... SNSD here we come!

Promoting in Japan IS HOLIDAYS The girls will only be busy the first days with interviews and event, then they will only have to do an interview here and there, which doesn't ask a lot of efforts, they just need to memorize the sentences JRock wants them to say. If one week of sales in Japan can equal 1 month of Korean sales, 1 month of promotion on Japan equals 1 week of Korean promotion.

I really enjoyed this perf. Even without Ji Yeon and EJ, the girls were great, and I do think the group is looking good with those 5 members. Although, I'm concerned about next week's Music Bank in Paris. How many T-ara members are going to show up???

C'mon guys! It's not all about the money! True, CCM overworks them, but it's not just to make money, it's to make T-ara BIGGGG! That's the price to pay if you want to be at the top. I think the girls are more than aware of it. I rather see our girls exhausted but pawing charts, music shows, releasing great music, than see them act like "lazy-arse-4Minute".

A new 7-girl group from CCM! That's big news! And Lee Boram is due to debut solo around May as well. With Co-ed coming back on the scene, I'm afraid this mean we will see even less and less of T-ara this year and the following. That's life, but I'd like 5dolls and Davichi to be more active. Maybe CCM can break its own rule, and have 2 artist promoting at the same time.

This episode was just epic!! One of my favorite from every T-ara show! All the pretty boys were actually "pretty boys", which wasn't the case too often... and it's so funny. Hwa Young was great in it, and I just laugh every time that guy in suit said "he didn't usually wear blue shirts" haha
