T-ara Wins Poll for Girl Group with Strongest Minds

T-ara was chosen as the girl group with the strongest mental capacity.
According to a poll taken on the community portal site DC Inside from July 31 to August 7, T-ara was ‘the girl group with the biggest will and the strongest mental capacity’.
The group garnered 11,858 votes, 80.1 percent out of the total of 14,798 votes for the poll. T-ara became popular after debuting in 2009 with Lies, and has been active in music, acting and variety both as a group and individually. Recently, however, it’s found itself in big trouble with outcast rumors that started through social networks.
Girls’ Generation (SNSD) followed T-ara with 860 votes (5.8 percent), while Kara came in third with 369 votes (2.5 percent). 2NE1 and SISTAR could also be found on the list.
DC Inside is currently holding a poll under the same theme with boy groups from August 7 to 14. As of August 8, JYJ is in the lead with 192 votes, which is 81 percent of the total number of votes.

For me, I would say that Hwayoung wasn't close to other members, but bullying would be too strong a word for that. I wouldn't deny that there was a rift going on in the incident and most members have a different opinions than Hwayoung, but that's it. The members decision to bring the differences online was a big mistake, but does that make them a bully ? I'm sure that if we had left them alone the situation would have been sorted out like most girlfights. And not ended up by Hwayoung leaving and T-ara taking all the hate.
I've never idolize T-ara. They're a group of girls who has different strengths and weaknesses, but putting them together on stage makes them one of the best GG entertainers in K-pop. [12.08.05] True or not, the public will only believe what they want about T-ara's bullying situation

"Tara-'s Hwayoung Was Not Bullied!" Written by Kim Yong Hyo, a reporter who has written many editorials on hot issues within the entertainment industry for the column [연예세상 비틀어보기]
T-ara’s Hwayoung never once mentioned the word “bullying.” And in reality she was not bullied. Netizens are merely creating evidence of bullying. (Those who seek the truth about such ‘bullying evidence’ please see the post http://thetaratruth.tumblr.com). Nevertheless, the public now believes “Hwayoung was bullied” as the truth. Why is this? Probably because from the very beginning, many believed in the rumour that there is bullying among girl groups in the entertainment industry. But some activists used what is claimed as ‘evidence’ to cleverly fabricate stories and to stir up the innocent and trusting public.
The first time I heard about the news of Hwayoung being bullied, I asked “So you’re saying that T-ara’s Hwayoung was bullied”? Because this it not the truth. Recently, I went with T-ara to their Tokyo Concert to gather information, and Hwayoung and the other members got along very well. Used in relation to her, the word ‘bullied’ is inappropriate. Born with a beautiful appearance to a relatively well-off family, she grew up lacking nothing. And also with her father’s vigorous support for his daughter to become an artist. (Personally finding his way to a large agency company for his twin daughters to become artists, and interfering with CCM with all his might, a father like this, if his daughter really was bullied, would he really stand by and do nothing?)
Of course, because young girls are grouped together in girl groups, issues of envy and jealousy will come up sometimes. (This is true not only with T-ara, but also other girl groups). But to part of the public who are on a witch-hunt against T-ara, these issues were not small conflicts, but collective violence. I can guarantee, such incidents did not, and could not possibly exist. But the public believes that T-ara members are bullies, without a doubt. Therefore, some of the members’ past and private life etc have also been dragged out into the public for discussion. Even more cunningly, netizens have packaged and claimed their actions on the internet as done to protect the victim Hwayoung from the other members’ violence and bullying.
T-ara is now fully wounded. But the cruel public continues to use their hatefully crafted products (i.e the ‘evidence’) to mock them. They truly see their own actions as legitimate and just. T-ara’s Hwayoung was not bullied. Even if there was conflict with Hwayoung, the level of intensity and strength compared to the bashing now done to Tara is not even one in a million.
The public only believes what it wants to believe. The more frightening part is that they will never admit or accept any rebuttals to the contrary. Their reaction to this article will probably be, “Oh, he must have received money from Kim Kwangsoo.” But this is not a rebuttal. It is the truth that those who hate T-ara never want to believe.

Why should they apolgize about something they didn't do ? The only people that needs to apologize right now are the netizens and reporters. They nearly destroyed T-ara with their witch hunt. Nearly all of them just used false articles to bash T-ara and we can prove nearly all of it false now. And yet they don't believe in our explanations, what a bunch of ignorants.

I wish I could have been happy with KKS's recent decisions, but it's a little late for all of this. No one will believe him even if he's telling the truth. (which I believe that he is, after all these years)
Whatever the truth is, we'll never know. Lies fabricated by every side will conceal the real truth forever.
People wants to hear something that makes them happy, that's 'the truth' for them right now.
It's too late for the girls to come out and say anything. It's something that should have been done on July 30th or earlier.
I don't blame the girls because CCM prevent them from doing it, but they'll have to pay a lot more after this.
T-ara's rise to popularity isn't by talent, it's by determination and personality. People like them because they are humble and friendly. It' sad that this incident took out one of T-ara's unique points out even if the accusations was a lie.
Whatever happens, I'll support T-ara. At least CCM and T-ara have learn a valuable lesson. And KKS realized that he can't do anything he pleases anymore. I guess that's a good start.

    someone wrote this on tumblr
Everyone wants the truth, but when they do tell the truth, no one believes them. Why? Because it’s not the truth that they want to hear. You all just want the truth that would benefit your side the most. You want your truth because you don’t want to be wrong for bashing T-ara as much as you did. No truth will ever be enough for you at all.
When people show this truth, no one wants to believe that they were wrong and they’ll come up with excuses to prove otherwise.
You can’t just blindly pick a side without knowing both side of the story. You all believed Hwayoung’s side, but when someone posts T-ara’s side, no one wants to believe it. Why? You were shown the whole truth, not just small part of a clip edited and posted as bullying. We just have to live with the fact that no truth will ever be enough for some people. No matter what you do, how you show it, how sorry you are, no one will care because it’s not what they want to see or hear. T-ara was successful before Hwayoung and I’m sure that they can become successful again with the support of their fans. Hwayoung learned to be an idol and a good rapper and I’m sure that she will be successful in the future as well.
I hope that netizens will stop pushing this matter more. I think T-ara,Hwayoung, their families and friends have already suffered enough because of this. If you really want to make a difference in life and prevent bullying, then go to schools, talk to kids, make organizations, ect. Just sitting behind a computer and making/joining T-Jinyo won’t do you any actual good in the cause that you want to help. They can turn T-Jinyo into an organization that helps prevent bullying in schools, workplace, ect. Make a protest for something actually meaningful.

I would consider this a positive step for KKS in becoming a better CEO. I think what a lot of people fail to realize is that this is not only a learning experience for T-ara, but for KKS as well. Hopefully he will learn that slave driving like the way he does will cause T-ara to be more stressed. Which will in turn lead to internal conflicts.
Also, "I consider all the T-Jinyo and Sajeongyeon members to be people who love T-ara" ... What? I'm pretty sure a lot of the people in T-Jinyo are antis looking to cause trouble.

[12.08.02] Jo Harang comment on T-ara's situation "It must stop now!"

Jo Harang decided to speak about T-ara's current situation of bullying.
Jo Harang tweeted on July 30th, "You're here, but you're invisible. One day feels like a year, breathing is easy but you feel uneasy. The entertainment industry has the same environment as schools, companies, societies, institutes...This witch-hunting must stop for sure!"
The next day, Jo Harang continued to post on Twitter this:
"Starting from a young age, children start to acknowledge that you need to work hard in life [to get what you want], and you focus on this so much that you don't put any of your time into building a "relationship" and lack social skills. Lacking the experience of having a social life and troubles to maintain a relationship doesn't fade away when you suddenly elevate yourself into a high position (celebrey/famous)."
Jo Harang was a member of "Jewelry", a group that also had to face a bullying controversy in the past, with her being the "witch-hunted member."
Jo Harang tweeted again 31th July, exposing her uncomfortable heart: "The problem is brought by the public with a witch-hunt, even if it's not true [the rumor of bullying]. It was hard for me, back then, to have to read such articles [about me]. It is important [for T-ara] to overcome this and to live in the present."
Netizens have reacted to these tweets saying thing like "Jo Harang seems to have troubles in her heart", "it seems that even idols are now refocusing themselves on the truth." "We need to brush off [this rumor] now"

Next is this. First of all, this is not a Hello Baby scene, it is T-ara Pretty Boys Ep 10 scene. Practically, people are making claims that T-ara members are ignoring Hwayoung and is only complimenting Qri’s work. When Hwayoung asked for some praises as well, none of the T-ara members actually bother to praise her. Hyomin immediately change the conversation topic. I don’t know what’s wrong with you people but at 49:11 of this video clip (Pretty Boys Ep 10) Boram actually said you did well. Hyomin wouldn’t respond to Hyomin because she’s talking to Soyeon at that moment. Jiyeon and Eunjung is too far at the end to hear since Hwayoung’s aegyo way of asking for praise is too soft like (*whisper* praise my coloring as well *whisper) Qri can’t praise her obviously cause she’s in the same team as Hwayoung. So of course the camera will focus on Hyomin who is not taking any suggestion by Soyeon as it’s cute to see those two argue. People tend to only notice this but they missed out this part in the same episode:

Jiyeon personally feeding Hwayoung. C’mon people, be realistic. If you want to look at things from a single point of view than we Queen’s too have our own point of view. If you can prove Hwayoung is not on good relationship with T-ara members, we can prove otherwise as well. This is getting endless. Please just stop this and have peace.
    6.

This time it’s another screen cap from T-ara pretty boys Ep 8. This time the accusations are the coat beside Hyomin are left there so that Hwayoung can be isolated at the other end and be bullied? Really? Look at MY Evidence this time

In this episode, the episode start off without Soyeon and Hyomin because they have other activities to attend to. They joined in later when they’re done with their activities. This picture shows exactly when they rejoin the show. (They are just about to sit down). As you can see, before they arrived, only Boram and Qri is sitting there and there’s an open space. Hwayoung is the one that choose to sit at the end for no reason. And please use your common sense, let’s say there’re four people on the sofa, who on earth would actually want to squeeze in and sit uncomfortably (even if you said it will be comfortable but please, a single chair beside Boram will DEFINITELY be more comfortable and has more space) when you can just sit comfortably to the left of the sofa. And people are saying Hwayoung is ignored. My evidence say otherwise though. If you look at episode 8 at exactly 16:08, you can see the members are discussing with Hwayoung about things (doesn’t matter what they’re talking about, the point is THEY ARE NOT IGNORING HER AND THEY ARE TALKING). Case closed.
    7.

Bashers, you really need to state your sources clearly. For this picture you said it’s from Star Life Theater and I scan for hours and cannot find anything. Stop trolling! It’s from Hello Baby Ep 11 Dumpling-Making time. Your accusations for this part is that they refuse to put in Hwayoung’s dumpling because the soup will overflow. And this is bullying? Seriously? Have you guys even look at how big is Hwayoung’s dumpling? Soyeon’s dumpling is big too but she’s the one cooking obviously she will cook hers first right? Common sense, survival of the fittest, human selfishness, place self before others. C’mon, I’ll show you how big is Hwayoung’s dumpling.

It’s that big people and the pot is just that small (refer to first image for this accusation). And it’s not like Soyeon refused to cook. If you look at 37:00 of Hello Baby E11 onwards, they decided to steam hwayoung’s dumpling. If this is a bully case, they wouldn’t even bother to show their nice sides and just throw away the dumplings. Case closed. This is a stupid accusation. -__-
    8.

Picture says it all. I guess you people are too lazy to find the video so I’ll just help you guys search it and prove that Hyomin didn’t do it on purpose.
There specifically cut by responsible individual to prove that Hyomin’s is not doing it on purpose.
    9.

Maybe you guys keep referencing it wrongly because you’re afraid it may be proved wrong. Again this is referenced to Hello baby. THIS IS TAKEN FROM T-ARA PRETTY BOYS EPISODE 10!!! The accusation say, Hwayoung ask for a candy and soyeon SPECIFICALLY choose for Hwayoung the candy that had dropped on the floor. NO! Hwayoung said “can I have the grape flavoured one?” at 14:11 of the episode. Soyeon DID NOT choose the candy for her. And Soyeon did not DROP THE CANDY on the floor. The candies stayed on the cup throughout the episode. Soyeon is just cracking joke with Hwayoung saying that the candy had dropped on the floor. Anyway, Hwayoung ALMOST eaten the candy. She hasn’t eaten it yet. After Soyeon tells her it dropped on the floor, she still choose to eat it (with video effect at 14:22 saying “it’ll still taste the same”) This is a case closed. Definitely. Weak evidence.
    10.

Accusation: Hwayoung being left out. This image is so wrong. From the plain look of it, (from a neutral point of view) Boram will be difficult to wrap her arms around hwayoung’s neck due to the difference in height. If it is anyone to wrap her arms around others, it should be Hwayoung. She is tall and exactly being my point is, other members lift their two arms, sure Boram may be at fault if you guys insist, but isn’t Hwayoung at fault too for not taking initiative to wrap her arms around boram’s neck?
    You wanna play with picture:

    cr. · So-yeon Park (박소연) (소연) T-ara (티아라)’s photos
there, happy? Boram lifted her arms, but where is Hwayoung’s arms? I’m not bashing Hwayoung but if you guys are taking advantage of hwayoung to bash T-ara then we’ll just have to use your weapon against yours. Anyway, very clear cut. Case closed.
    11.

Yes?! You people post this GIF and commented “………..” really? Where’s the reference? Wasted my 10 minutes searching for this. This is from Pretty Boys EP 9. Stop looking at the GIF and judge. Look at my JPG and then u come and judge

I’m amazed at how adept your skills are at cutting video seriously. You cut it exactly at the point when hwayoung will be smiling… This is a joke, PLAYED BY HWAYOUNG, ON BORAM!. Boram was just reacting according to what hwayoung is expecting, and hwayoung after seeing that smiles and feels happy. Lousy evidence that waste alot of my time.. Case closed.
    12.

You’re saying that nobody help Hwayoung but other groups have others helping them. OK so this is bullying on hwayoung. Wanna see something more shocking than this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BefRJirL-Ks
I don’t see how, Soyeon, who injured her leg as well, is able to sing Lovey dovey while standing on crutches. It hurts us Queen’s seeing hwayoung injured and has to stand using crutch. But please stop posting these trivial things to bash T-ara. If Soyeon can stand and sing, I don’t see how Hwayoung can’t stand and TALK. Furthermore, they have two crutches, more than enough in keeping balance. This evidence is pure nonsensical. Purely hostile.
    13.

Pictures after pictures. This evidence show that Hwayoung is being left out again. I’m getting tired of this. I’m gonna post pictures as well then. By the way, this is the opening scene of Star Life Theater episode 4 (just for the sake of those who don’t know what is called crediting sources)

They started off standing in one line.

Then Hyomin being the smart aleck walk out of the line to tell a cool joke

Other T-ara members find it funny so they laugh. I don’t know why but Hwayoung doesn’t find it funny so she just stand there feeling awkward. This is totally not a outcast situation. Boram is looking at Hwayoung direction. Hyomin is looking at the direction of the members because she’s trying to tell the joke to everyone without blocking the camera. If she face hwayoung direction, it makes it seems like she’s only telling it to hwayoung. Using your common sense, it’s only right that for Hyomin to tell a joke to everyone she has to face the majority side. If only hwayoung followed with the laughter, this evidence would be void. nevertheless, it’s too weak of an evidence anyway. Case closed.

Accusation said it’s a gift from Jiyeon to her. The accusation further emphasises that the acorn in a dog bowl according to old korean saying means an outcast. However, the translation doesn’t even talk anything about Jiyeon giving it to Hwayoung. Park Dino please don’t bully YOUR dog! It’s Jiyeon’s dog not even Hwayoung’s. And you think Jiyeon would bother conveying message of outcast by some old Korean idiom when we all know she’s not even the study type, she won’t even be thinking of old idioms. Jiyeon merely build the dog because that’s just happen to be the shape the lego she’s playing. Not to mention Jiyeon has recently been addicted to playing Lego because she finds it extremely interesting. No hidden message, stop overthinking guys. It’s like saying why does the wind blow to the northeast, maybe there’s gold in that direction. Stop finding lame evidence to prove bullying, it ain’t working yo.

Accusation: Soyeon leg bump into hwayoung and Soyeon grabs her hand and tell her not to touch it. First of all Soyeon’s leg didn’t bump into Hwayoung’s leg. It seems like that because this GIF is generated super fast. I’ve seen the GIF frame by frame and only Soyeon’s skirt has minimal contact with Hwayoung’s leg. (So why did Hwayoung’s leg get a reaction?) First of all, hwayoung is not trying to open the can, she’s just trying to point at it. (I can’t read hangul but I suppose there’s something special about that can) And Soyeon did not tell hwayoung to not touch it because they don’t even talk. The atmosphere is so tense the two of them didn’t even talk. hwayoung’s move back because whoever opening the can (I dunno whose hand is it) is opening the can, and need I repeat myself, the can has something. Hwayoung is not even planning to open it, the first time she reached forward, she would have grabbed that can if she want to open it. Soyeon grab hwayoung’s wrist area cause they’re excited of what’s inside the can (normal reaction, when you’re nervous, you tend to hold onto others for support). You can say I’m talking crap now but I’m not. Use Microsoft GIF animator and load this GIF frame by frame (that is, if you’re even bothered to do so). Case closed.

Basically, this is stupid.. the article is just saying that the one who posted this comes from a girl group and she’s a new addition to the team and that she feels like an outcast. First of all, everyone can use the username Suk Ryu. I can use a username Bond? So I’m James Bond? Secondly, T-ara doesn’t have any initials. T-ara is T-ara, it’s not like T-ara = Tremendously-aboriginal rat amaranth. (OK I just made that up) T-ara is T-ara. It’s not SUJU = SUper JUnior. It’s not like SISTAR = SISter sTAR. T-ara is T-ara. Just like the incident about Jiyeon slapping Hwayoung proves to be a stupid prank by some teen. This post isn’t valid until there’s real evidence showing real identity of the user. Username doesn’t defined somebody. Hey, let’s make pikachan87. So basically I’m a Pikachu-chan (female Pikachu) and I’m born in 1987. Be realistic people. username can be everyone.
    17.

This is like the hot topic everywhere: Boram broke Hwayoung’s umbrella. No comment on this one. Watch this video, you antis are too dumb.
    18.

Basically this picture is saying that Hwayoung is forced to mix with Infinite and Sistar because T-ara unnies abandon her again. Yes this picture says so but I demand you people who use this as evidence to show that hwayoung is bullied to watch this video
The video clearly shows Hwayoung and T-ara members are tlaking to each other.
    19.

I don’t know how many times people are going to use T-ara Pretty Boys ep 10 as evidence to show that Hwayoung is being outcasted here. I even posted the photo of Jiyeon and Hwayoung being friendly. Soyeon being friendly. She’s not being outcasted. You’re all just cutting the whole damn video to make her look so pity. Here, I’m fed up, just watch the whole episode here. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFVa6r31Hfc&list=PL8D72FA6185610F6F&index=10&feature=plpp_video

Seriously all these pictures? The first picture is Hwayoung walking slowly, what has it got to do with other T-ara members. The second picture is not even valid. How can you guarantee that Hwayoung is not walking to the front of the line. Picture only captures exact moment, you need to use videos to present this kind of evidence. And also, you need to give sources. There’s too many of T-ara at airport video I don’t even know which one is this. When you’ve found it come back and argue with me. Antis.
    21.

There is violence? O_O C’mon, stop cutting video as I said. this is from Hello Baby episode 2. Jiyeon and Soyeon failed to dress Mavin within time limit and thus failed to become the Moon brothers omma. Before this GIF, Mason and Hwayoung is feeding each other food. Hyomin instigated this by saying “They’re on a date ya~” Jiyeon is jealous cause she cannot be the mom so she KIDDINGLY hit Hwayoung. Look at Hwayoung expression after being hit here:

C’mon people. If I hit you like Jiyeon did without a joking context, would you still smirk? Look at Hwayoung’s face, she’s smiling!! If Jiyeon really hit Hwayoung that seriously, don’t you think Hwayoung should glare. Once again please stop cutting videos to prove the wrong thing. You can’t force a positive fact to be negative.
    22.

So Jiyeon never HI-5 Hwayoung and you said it’s bullying.. But you guys just stop it there and accept that fact. Look at this picture below:

Jiyeon is a playful girl. She kissed Hwayoung! So? Tell me how is not being hi-5ed is more cruel than not being kissed. Once again, I want you all to know that people that are angry will GLARE! Not smile OK?!
    23.

This is about the framer trying to frame Jiyeon slapping Hwayoung. The framer has been caught and it’s just a teen so Core Contents decided not to press charges. Have fun reading from your favorite anti-t-ara site:
    http://www.allkpop.com/2012/08/op-ed-guilty-until-proven-innocent-the-lynch-mob-against-t-ara-and-whos-really-to-blame
If you are all really concern about T-ara news. I shouldn’t be posting this about the rumour that Jiyeon slapped Hwayoung is a fake one. You guys should be well aware that Jiyeon did not slapped Hwayoung as reported by T-ara back dancer group leader from Yama & Hotchicks.
If you antis feel offended or feel that any of my counter-evidence is not appropriate, kindly use etiquette to tell me or else you can make your way out of my blog.

Guilty until proven innocent: The lynch mob against T-ara and who’s really to blame

The fallout from Hwayoung‘s split with T-ara has been nothing short of cataclysmic, and resulted in an all-out witch hunt against the current T-ara members. The group has lost endorsement deals, been forced to cancel concerts, fan cafes have shut down, petitions and groups to have T-ara disbanded and to uncover the truth behind the scandal have attracted hundreds of thousands of people, netizens have called for the members to be removed from their current television shows, a music program director has said he will no longer contact T-ara, and much more.
In less than a week, T-ara has gone from being one of the most loved groups in K-Pop to the most reviled and hated. But whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty, and why are the members of T-ara receiving all the vitriol instead of their controversial CEO, Kim Kwang Soo?
The bulk of the anti-T-ara bandwagoning has stemmed from various reports of bullying — virtually all of which have turned out to be either misconstrued or completely false. The situation has gotten so bad that anonymous posts on web forums have been picked up by the media and reported as fact, and everybody has been so desperate for answers that they’re not stopping to separate the fiction from the fact.
A photo of Hyomin accidentally bumping Hwayoung as she raised her arm was transformed by netizens into “Hyomin pokes Hwayoung in the eye!“. A video of Hwayoung opening her mouth for Eunjung to put a rice cake in it suddenly became an attempt at choking by force-feeding, but what netizens failed to mention was that it was a Japanese game show where you had to put sweets into someone’s mouth and then try make a sound with your mouth full. As if things couldn’t get any more far-fetched, a photo of Hwayoung chatting with INFINITE and SISTAR at the ‘Idol Olympics’ broadcast was somehow turned into Hwayoung having to sit with them because T-ara wouldn’t speak to her.
There was never any speculation that Hwayoung had been bullied before last week, yet now all it takes is a photo of her hanging with Bora to serve as evidence that she’s been ostracized by her own group. Does this selca of Eunjung and KARA’s Gyuri mean that they too, are victims of bullying? Anybody can take a photo and fabricate a story around it.
There was even a shocking report that Jiyeon slapped Hwayoung across the face — a report that literally stemmed from an anonymous forum post from somebody claiming to be a member of T-ara’s dance team, Yama & Hot Chicks. When the leader of the dance team came forward to shoot down the false claims, it was too late. The article was already a most-read story across the web, and the damage was done.
It should take more than some out-of-context photos, anonymous forum posts, and unsubstantiated stories to convince the world that T-ara is a pack of evil bullies who tormented and assaulted their bandmate. This is 2012, but right now people are acting like it’s the 1600s and we’re all at the Salem witch trials.
The only thing that seems somewhat accurate in all of this drama is that there was an incident on last week’s Music Bank where Hwayoung was upset for an as-yet-unknown reason, and refused to go on stage for T-ara’s scheduled performance. This caused the other members to have to cover for her at the last minute, and resulted in a mistake being made during the performance. Some T-ara members were then unprofessional and tweeted their disappointment over Hwayoung’s actions, which led to them being labelled as bullies. This information about Music Bank does not confirm that T-ara are bullies, nor does it confirm that Hwayoung is troublesome. All it confirms is that Hwayoung refused to perform on Music Bank –which may or may not have been for a perfectly valid reason– and that the others members disagreed with that decision.

Does anybody remember what happened to the Sugababes back in 2009? Keisha Buchanan was fired from the group amidst claims she was a bully, but fans and the public still took her side and blamed member Amelle Berrabah for the entire thing. People adopted a lynch mob mentality, similar to the one we are currently seeing against T-ara, and eventually their attacks against Amelle were so vicious that she had a nervous breakdown and had to spend three-weeks recovering in a treatment facility. Reports that Keisha had been a bully were never confirmed, the fans eventually calmed down and got over it, and life went on as usual. If only everyone had behaved more rationally and not jumped to conclusions, then Amelle’s unfortunate breakdown could have been avoided all together. (I should know, because I was one of the many people who sent abusive tweets to Amelle at the time!)
While everybody is busy blaming T-ara for Hwayoung’s departure, few seem to be looking at Kim Kwang Soo, who may very well be more responsible for this entire ordeal than anybody else involved.
In my April article about T-ara’s then-announced member changes, I expressed my concern over the way Kim Kwang Soo was managing the group. I said that he was creating an unhealthy environment for the group by encouraging them to compete against one another and by threatening to fire or replace any members who didn’t comply. Now that he’s made good on his threats, it’s T-ara who are being blamed.
In the same article, I also took a look at how severely Kim Kwang Soo had been overworking T-ara. In a nutshell, the group hadn’t had a vacation since their debut in 2009 and hadn’t received a day off in one year, members were performing on top of serious injuries, Jiyeon collapsed on stage from exhaustion, and at times the group’s work load was so heavy that they had 12 schedules in one day.
Now picture the kind of stress that would bring on the members of T-ara, and then remember that Hwayoung was not part of the original T-ara lineup. She was added to the group in 2010. So Hwayoung was added to a group that was already successful, a group that had been together for years (if you include their training days), a group that was being severely overworked in a high-stress environment, and a group that was encouraged by their CEO to compete against one another.
If any of the unsubstantiated bullying claims are true, or even if Hwayoung was simply just an ‘outcast’ in T-ara, it’s not hard to see why.
If you need any more proof that Kim Kwang Soo isn’t the greatest CEO on the planet, then look no further than Nam Gyuri. The idol was a member former CCM girl group SeeYa, before she left back in 2009 for financial reasons and to pursue an acting career. What followed was a messy and very public war of words in which Kim Kwang Soo revealed scandalous information about Gyuri in the press and claimed that she uncooperative and missed schedules, the remaining SeeYa members held a press conference and painted Gyuri out to be a selfish diva, and Gyuri called Kim Kwang Soo “the devil”, denied his allegations against her and implied that it was part of a smear campaign, and claimed her former bandmates were cold towards her and spoke behind her back.
There was probably a little truth to both sides of that story, but at the end of the day, people are going to disagree and have conflicts. It’s a normal part of life, and it’s happened to everybody.

When you’re looking at a Korean girl group, such as T-ara, a CEO is like the teacher or the parent of the group. The CEO has a responsibility to create a safe and healthy environment for the group, both at home in the dorm and at work, and to ensure that any petty issues are taken care of in a proper way so the dynamic of the group can remain positive and professional. Kim Kwang Soo appears to have done the exact opposite of that, and if there is any true disharmony in T-ara, it is he who should be held responsible before both Hwayoung and T-ara.
As of now, the only real bullies in this whole situation are the netizens. Take one look at the comments section in a T-ara post on AllKPop right now, and you’ll either see a hypocritical flood of cruel and mean-spirited attacks directed at the group and its individual members, or just people laughing at the group’s current predicament. T-ara is being torn down for something that nobody even knows if they actually did or not. And if they did do it, then why did they do it? Not everything in life is black and white.

FACT: T-ara decides everything by rock-paper-scissors. The seating, order of makeup (except for Qri, she does her own makeup because she don't want to wait) and commercial takes. Boram said it on Star Life theater and you can see it in the "work song" shooting.
Did they put it in the news ? No ...
Do people know about it ? No ...
