- Participating with Double Sidekick for the title track, her first solo has been fully prepared!

5 years after debut, T-ara’s jiyeon is standing by her own as a solo singer. Although she has shown diverse looks as a member of T-ara who has had many hit songs such as Roly Poly, Bo Peep Bo Peep, Day By Day, Sexy Love, and Number Nine, she is going to show the public a special color that only she, Jiyeon, has.

While she will make the choreography stand out more through her performance that will be benefiting from the on-stage tools, she will present a stage that you can not take off your eyes of. Also, for ‘Yeuido Cherry Blossom’, as a song of composer Ahn Young Min, whom T-ara has worked with since debut, is a warm and bright song that suits for a spring with a warm weather. With cute lyrics and a melody that’s relaxing to listen to, you may look forward to the vocals that are different from the mood of the title track. For ‘Puppet’, as a Tenzo and Tasco, who composed K-will’s “촌스럽게 왜이래” (You Don’t Know Love), song, It might have tempo to it but it’s also chic with sad lyrics and minor melody.

The past year was an eventful year for T-ara. Frequent activities, events, and more, but also all kinds of rumors and malicious comments that are countless. After promoting nonstop for four years, it seems like everything they had worked for was lost over the past year. On the 14th, T-ara met in a cafe in Gangnam to discuss this as well as their new comeback album released on the 10th. Despite all of this, T-ara were still smiling and satisfied with the result of their promotions so far.

"The response to our new album was better than we expected. We worried and talked about how the public would view us every day. It made us anxious, but we were all united to become better (as a group.)"

Despite various times they felt bitter about their controversy, all members admitted they have matured. Instead of promoting with the goal of #1 in mind, T-ara promoted with the thought of rewarding the fans who still believed in them. "We did in a way lose our original intentions. We weren't proud when this event had occurred. It made us realize how important our parents, family, friends and staff members are; and above all, it made us realize how important our members are.

T-ara will soon be into their fifth year of promotions since their debut. The members of T-ara have gone through many toxic changes. T-ara answered why they frequently changed their group. "Honestly, it's true of most idol groups. Our agency is full of staff who are experts and know what to do. The process (of changing members) helped us show better sides of us."

[13.03.27] T-ara's Eunjung-Hyomin-Jiyeon-Areum to form a sub-unit and create national trend


7-member girl group T-ara will return in late April or early May as a sub-unit consisting of Eunjung, Jiyeon, Hyomin and Areum. The team's name is not yet decided, but they plan to takeover with a national dance trend.

T-ara's agency Core Contents Media said on the 27th, "We are sorting out the details for a sub-unit for Eunjung, Jiyeon, Hyomin and Areum right now."

T-ara's Soyeon is interested in re-challenging herself in acting.
Soyeon is currently being considered to be cast in the KBS 2TV mini-series "Iris 2". Idols BEAST's Yoon Doojoon as well as MBLAQ's Lee Joon have already been cast.
An "Iris 2" official said it's not definitely decided, but said on the 7th to Sports Korea, "Soyeon is being positively considered to join the cast. Soyeon would play an agent in the drama and we are interested in casting someone with a similar image to her."
Last August, Soyeon challenged herself in acting for the first time through KBS 2TV's mini series "Haeundae Lovers".
