[13.05.10] T-ara N4 to thank their fans by giving autographed hats

T-ara N4 will give a special gift to their fans.

T-ara N4 will perform at the KBS 2TV "Osong Music Bank Special" on the 10th and on the 11th at "Dream Concert". At the end of their performances of "Rural Life", they will send their autographed hip-hop hats into the audience.

T-ara N4 has a unique title song, "Rural Life", that follows a hip-hop style and with similar outfits. Each stage, they will give these hats away. This will be a gift for the fans who have shown interest in "Rural Life" and the crossover genre of hip-hop and traditional music.

T-ara will perform at "Music Bank", "Dream Concert", and "Inkigayo" with a Samulnori quartet and a 35-member back-up dancer team, expecting to show off a powerful, exciting and unique stage.

The most hated group in South Korea collaborates with one of the most hated men in America... lol. What is KKS thinking? This is going to do nothing to help T-ara's image in Korea, besides, they should promote more in Japan, not think about a US debut right now.

Oh goodness, someone please tell me what KKS is thinking. The girls have a horrible image in their country as it is, and Chris Brown (regardless of how well his songs may fare on the charts) has a legitimately bad reputation as well. Clearly putting the two together isn't in PR's best interests.

This isn't quick at all, if you consider that none of T-ara members has any short or long run individual project except for Eunjung, who is hosting Show Champion. Hence, their income is reduced significantly compared with their previous years. If people don't come knocking on their door to offer jobs, they need to go all out to earn more money.
Their average age is quite high compared to other idol groups. Their activities as an idol group are now limited to singing only, hence, they need to make the most out of it. Moreover, unlike music bands, they don't compose their own music, so they don't really need to take a break to find new inspiration. As long as their company can find new materials that they think the group could help sell well, they will go for it.
Edit: After giving the news another read, I think that 2nd album could be just the compilation of the songs from 10 singles T-ara has released recently. Well, let's wait and see.

sacrod reacted to FreakyFlyBri in [13.04.04] T-ara's 4-member unit to debut with "Rural Life" in early May
The sub-unit rumors weren't necessarily proven to be false...it could have been that CCM just wasn't ready for the news to be announced yet, and obviously the mention of Double Sidekick being the primary producer was incorrect. The girls are sticking with Shinsadong Tiger for their producer for the track.
And yes, Hwayoung was expelled from the group, but of course they aren't going to put that in their official announcement for this sub-unit. Which sounds better, being expelled or withdrawing from the group? Haha.
Like someone else in this thread said, "Rural Life" sounds like it could be a very rough translation at this point, so who knows? Or maybe it has to do with their concept. Either way, it sounds intriguing, and with Shinsadong Tiger behind it you know it's going to be a catchy, glittery dance-pop song.
As far as the press release stating that it will "mend people's hearts," it's more or less saying that this is CCM's way of slowly reintroducing the group back into the public eye. At one point, EunJiMin were the group's three most popular members, so of course CCM wants to remind people of why they were considered the holy trinity in the first place, and Areum is the new kid in town, so she's in the unit to get more exposure as well.
Ultimately, it's like some people were saying...I don't think T-ara really has anything to lose in Korea at this point. People are going to hate regardless of what they do, but people will also still buy their music and support them if their output is good. Just look at Sexy Love, it may have not done as well as their past releases, but they put out arguably one of the best songs of their careers and killed their performances, and the song did pretty damn good. I think this sub-unit is a good way of testing the waters, so to speak, and I'm sure that it doesn't hurt that sub-units are the big thing in K-Pop right now, like you said; if this goes well, we'll get a song from the full group in a month or two, and if it fails, we'll have a bit longer to wait than we thought. I'm inclined to believe that it will do well though.

[13.04.04] T-ara's 4-member unit to debut with "Rural Life" in early May

7-member girl group T-ara will promote as a unit.

T-ara will debut a unit consisting of Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon and Areum and they recently finished recording their song and are now preparing for their activities. They are trying to debut as early as the end of this month with "Rural Life".

T-ara debuted in 2009 with "Lies" and on their Japanese single "Bunny Style!" which they recently released in Japan, they first tried units. The units were Soyeon-Areum, Boram-Qri and Hyomin-Jiyeon-Eunjung. The songs were all included as bonus tracks for various singles. This will be T-ara's first time doing a formal unit activity.

What is T-ara's reason for doing a unit? The reason for T-ara to do the unit's activity is actually because since Hwayoung withdrew from the group last year, many fans were torn by the news at T-ara's height of popularity. T-ara will form this unit to try and mend the hearts of millions of fans again. Unit groups have been popular lately with Sistar19, 2YOON, ZE:A5, Infinite-H, and various other groups.

The song "Rural Life" is produced by the hitmaker Double Sidekick T-ara will appeal to several generations, both young and old, and both men and women with their new unit song. T-ara plan to create a national dance similar to the "Roly-Poly" craze that they did with two years ago.

Junggie is too kindhearted. I've always loved and respected her and she just made me love her and admire her even more.I know her parents must be so proud of her, i know i would. I'm thankful to Eunjung's parents for instilling all those morals and values- that many people seem to lack nowadays-in Junggie as she was growing up.Also thankful to god that he let such a beautiful person into this world..its people like Junggie that makes this world a better place and restore my faith in humanity.
It angers me that Junggie is blaming herself and feeling bad for the production team because of the scandal, when she was the biggest victim and took the hardest hit but this just goes to show what a great person she is..always putting others before heself , not being remorseful against those who've hurt but rather be forgiving and kindhearted..It angers me that there are others who take advantage of this..
I understand that Junggie wants to forget this and act like it never happened but these people not only violated her rights and treated her like sh*it but they also had the audacity to put all blame on EJ, most of all they have scarred Junggie's heart.Yes Junggie says she's forgotten but the truth is you can never forget , she will forever be scarred , the scars will fade with time but the traces will always be there.
I respect EJ decision but i think KEMA is doing the right thing by putting sanction and boycotting YEIN E&M to let it serve as an example to other companies that you can't just violate a person's rights and treat them like sh*t and get away with. It not just for Junggie but for other actors/actresses.Maybe this is what they mean by everything happens for a reason.

Other reports said that CCM is doing this on behalf of Eunjeung. I can't say if its a bright thing or not to get into a legal battle with mighty SBS right now (I suspect bias reporting coming T-ara's way) & the antis would probably eat this up and rage again..
But on the other hand... This may actually be bigger than just Eunjeung & T-ara. What she (or CCM) is doing is basically fighting for the rights of all entertainers in Korea. Five Fingers gave the middle finger to the trust actors gave producers when they dropped other projects to sign on a drama. This could & probably would happen to others also.
$125,000 is actually chump change for a law suit, it may even not cover the lawyer fees. But if Eunjeung wins she would basically give more protection and security for other actors in the future. If she lose, at least this will give this issue some public attention.
Whatever the result is she is a hero in my book.

    I support Eunjung in this.
I don't really think anymore about the possible repercussions (ex. SBS-T-ara relations, further damage to reputation, further damage to her acting career, etc.)
It's Eunjung's right to sue those producers for such an unjust and unfair treatment.
    It's her legal right.
I don't understand why some people are afraid that this move would just further damage her reputation or would bring more bad publicity. I mean, her reputation was damaged already, what should she be afraid of? Let me clarify. What I mean is it's stupid for a victim of injustice to back down for fear of further damaging her reputation or for fear that her relationship with SBS will be ruined. How will she get justice and prevent future injustices if she will just stay quiet? She has to do something. There has to be an action. It's unfair if the wrongdoers would be able to run away like nothing happened. Besides it's not like she's doing it only for herself. She's doing it to prevent such unfair treatment of actors in the future. Even KEMA supported Eunjung. It's about actors' rights. Put anyone in her shoes, put your favorite actor in her shoes, or put yourself in her shoes, you would need some action to get justice for such an unfair treatment.
Also, that amount of money is not enough to repair the damage done to her, most especially her pride, career and reputation, not to mention all those time, effort, money, the piano she bought, being at the presscon (and her fans even sent rice wreaths!!! what a waste!), rehearsals and sleepless nights she spent for a role that was taken away from her without proper notice. The person suffered a lot from the T-ara controversy already and what they did to her was to further rub salt in the wound.
Clearly, those 5F production team has to pay. LOTS and LOTS.
And I don't care if 5F producers' actions were only about business/investment or what's best for the show. If you don't know how to treat people properly, your business is going down.
Also, I don't care if this legal action is what others say as just one of CCM's stupid moves or what. Yeah probably everybody hates CCM right now, so what?
What matters to me is Eunjung (and T-ara). It's about her dreams, it's about her career as an actress.
What matters to me is that 5F production team will pay the damages for their improper actions, and that they realize for themselves that their actions were really unfair and utterly wrong. (Ugh! I still remember how they were not even sincerely apologetic and how they were still cocky after removing Eunjung, their tone was like, sorry we had to remove her because our show has to move on and her agency is to blame for making things dirty and that agency should just shut up or else. Ugh! What an attitude! The nerve!)
For me, getting back at those unfair 5F producers is a crucial move to at least teach a lesson to Korea especially those haters and those who easily get swayed by malicious rumors against artists. Or at the very least, it's a lesson about treating people properly notwithstanding the rumors going around. No backstabbing. Basically it's a lesson about fairness, honesty and ethics.
Hoping and praying for a decision in favor of Eunjung.
    Justice for Eunjung!!! Eunjung Fighting!!!

Despite controversies, T-ara has resumed activities as a girl group not only in Korea, but in the whole Asian market.
On the 20th after completing their first showcase in Hong Kong, officials from Hong Kong suggested that T-ara have a large-scale concert with 15,000 seats next time.
On the 18th, T-ara met 3,000 local Hong Kong fans with their showcase at Star Hall. All 3,000 seats were sold out but it was reported than over 500 fans showed up outside the venue who were unable to get tickets and singed and danced along during the showcase.
An official said, "There was a bigger reaction than expected. There are requests coming in and we're currently talking about having a solo concert for them next year on an outdoor stage."
After the lively reaction from Hong Kong fans, T-ara are confident to spread out in the Asian market. After their Hong Kong performance, T-ara has big plans for next year.
The official said, "Compared to other idol groups, T-ara has a lot of diversity in their music which is a big advantage for them because it helped develop a large fanbase for them in Southeast Asia. Their likelihood of success in Asia is good and there are plans to go to Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and the Philippines next year but starting with promotions in Japan. We want to aim for an Asian version of a World tour.
2NE1 held a world tour in 10 different cities across seven different countries and SNSD and Wonder Girls have also held concerts across Asia, the Americas and Europe. T-ara is the next girl group who can possibly accomplish this and will begin with the Asian market.
T-ara returned to Korea on the 19th through Incheon International Airport and will continue to promote "Sexy Love" through music shows this week.
