  1. Yes the Japanese variety shows were awesome! But why..?? I really liked how they performed almost all songs in Japanese in their concerts in Japan. If MBK leaves the Japan market we won't get to hear T-ara's Japanese songs live anymore T.T

And I love their Japanese albums like Gossip Girl.

Wow... I almost planned a short vacation to Japan just so I can attend this Japan Tour of T-ara. I'm glad I didn't do it. Otherwise I would have been very disappointed. Did the Japanese fans got their money back?

Last I heard they were demanding refunds and were very upset.

I am kinda glad that they did not held it last year, I was not into T-ara at that point of time and I went to Japan. I will definitely regret it now if I ever know about this.

lol maybe you would have heard and decided any k-pop group would be great

  2. Hmm,I don't think so. There are no words whatsoever saying about their contract was expired.

And yes,MBK did say they was going to focus on China this year. So I expect an album, variety appearance,drama/movies casting, featured in Chinese magazine and many more. I want to see Boram in a bikini photoshoot if that's possible. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!  *ehem *cough cough***     pardon me.

you and me both but boram wouldn't do it so a solo album is all I want

  3. no idea. I just saw some tweets, maybe it was taken from an article or something, saying that the Japan tour was cancelled. But what they emphasize there was that some Japan fans has been scammed into buying fake tickets while Japan management said they haven't even decide the location for the concert. There are many problems and maybe it relates to poor management from both sides, hence CCM decides to cancel it.

Anyway did you remember when are they(T-ara) supposedly make their Japan tour? was on August or October last year?

what a mess. It was supposed to happen in December. I remember when the dates and venues were posted. GG is a good album and they barely promoted it. The concerts could have gotten them new fans but now their Japanese fans are probably annoyed with them and the company. Urgh CCM

maybe the japan contract are expired?

or hallyu wave in japan are finished?

or MBK ent more focus into china market so they forget about japan market?

their contracts are with CCM Japan right now. Hallyu wave is finished but T-ara have more Japanese fans than other groups with the exception of KARA, SNSD and maybe 2NE1. I like that they're focusing on China but why waste the fanbase in Japan when they can make a lot money from a concert tour?

  4. I can't help but smile when you mentioned Hyuna going solo ^_^ It's true what you said however I was thinking it would be more tiring since going solo means having to do everything alone.

I remembered Song Ji Eun mentioning about how tiring it is going solo comparing to being in Secret

T-ara members are tough. Have you seen their schedule before and after the scandal. Jiyeon and Hyomin have both tackled solo promotions (filiming dramas, movies and other projects) and T-ara at the same time. As insane as it sounds, I think they've gotten used to the work load. The only problem I have is that their weakness will be more glaring. I just hope it doesn't affect their confidence and that they try to strengthen themselves.

    I'd have to strongly disagree.

Hyuna is a terrible example, since talent-wise she's very mediocre at best and outright bad at worst (especially with rapping and 'singing', if at all of the latter). This is something that is very much well-accepted among many, aside from maybe her fans. Just because they've had a couple of solo shots in the past does not mean they can be an actual solo, yet alone one whose talent is pretty much acknowledged or have potential in the future (especially in Jiyeon's case - considering none of the OSTs she's done have ever been sung live, and she was less-than-mediocre when performing with Soyeon's one for the movie Death Bell 2).

There's a very distinct line between a solo who has the serious talent and capability of becoming one acknowledged of his/her skill and one that hugely relies on fandom and company power to achieve acknowledged solo status but having considerably less skill. Actual solos, at least in Korea, would be folks like Gummy, Cho Youngpil, Lee Seungchul etc.

Fully agreed with you there except this bit :3

    As a casual K-hiphop fan/listener, Hyomin cannot be considered a rapper ><

the ability to debut and be successful depends on how good your song is. Look at some of K-pop's best selling songs, some of them are done by idol groups that are not known for being vocalists (or having them even). Look at Gee, for example, it got popular not because of Taeyeon and her good singing abilities but because it was a fun, catchy song. People will like what they like. Don't talk about singing live like it matters all that much. T-ara isn't known for that so people won't have expectations. Besides, since the series of concerts last year, I think they've both gotten more stable.

  5. Each of the Brown Eyed Girls have been doing solo projects for years and just had their 8th anniversary as a group.

    Also there's this:

I wont pretend to read Hyomin's mind but I'm assuming she posted this for reasons other than really liking the #2.

precisely. Members going solo is not a new thing. Groups have done it before them and remained together. For all we know the girls might be seeing how it feels to promote alone so that they are prepared if and when T-ara disbands

    *Rolls eyes*

As solo singers? My god, that is just stretching it far.

None of those two are even capable as branching out as solo singers. Not even Soyeon has the chops to branch out successfully as a solo. Their lives aren't exactly what you can consider 'solo' capability, especially compared to actual solo singers out there, or even idol vocalists like Taeyeon and Hyorin >__>.

anyone can be a solo artist tbh. Hyomin has shown she can sing with the Immortal Singer appearances with Eunjung. I really liked Jiyeon's solo single in Banisuta. You don't have to have really good vocals to release a song. Otherwise Hyuna would be just a rapper in 4Minute and Sunmi would be in school right now. It's the song's quality that matters so I'm putting my faith on producers who have put out good songs before.

  6. Well I don't know how the showbiz work there, but from what I can tell they don't have to go to variety shows and/or interviews. so that should free up some time for relaxing.

I think the traveling to various sets for shows that usually takes up their time

they said that when they were promoting the songs, they went to 4 to 5 events which took up the entire day. They've had a japanese tour and before that they promoted their album for a while, several concerts before and during promotions (Mongolia, HK, 3 venues in China, so on), japanese single were released, a comeback, fan meeting, showcases, an endorsement deal with a clothing store and others. All that in 6 months and there is no signs of them stopping any time soon.

  7. She is a 26 year old woman. Who in their right mind expected her to never date? Look at that picture, she's obviously happy and that is more than I hoped for. Happiness doesn't come in the form of allkills and selling out tours. I really hope they stay happy and content with each other.

The only thing that makes me wary is the fact that it was Seoul Sports that broke the news. We all know that gossip rag has nothing but contempt for T-ara and CCM. And all of this before their comeback. It doesn't feel right.
