Hi guys, this is my first fic on this site which is actually being uploaded from my account on Asianfanfics because I want to try using Diadem Forums to see how it goes. Characters: Black Mamba: Leader: Yuri Yuri is the current leader of the Black Mamba and is the most feared person in Korea. She is known to be merciless and cruel, and is recognised as one of the most skilled assassins. Hyomin: Hyomin is Yuri’s younger sister. She is the only person who could beat Yuri but stays under her command as a result of fear and manipulation. Hyomin is a more gentle and soft spoken person as compared to her sister. Sunny: Yuri’s most trusted assassin who has a not so secret relationship with Hyomin, much to Yuri’s jealousy. Sunny is also the niece of Yuri’s mentor, and Yuri feels obliged to keep her alive out of respect for her mentor. Soyeon: A member of Hyomin’s team. Soyeon is very witty and is not to be messed with despite her relatively small size. Qri: Sunny’s quiet second in command. Qri is loyal and trustworthy, but her sharp tongue comes as a surprise to most. She has a certain distrust for Soyeon. Kwangya: Leader: Taeyeon Taeyeon is the serious and solemn leader of Kwangya, Black Mamba’s biggest threat. Taeyeon is rational and wise, unless it involves Tiffany. Her concern for Tiffany’s safety makes Tiffany get annoyed with her more often than not. Tiffany: Taeyeon’s second in command who suffered from a major injury in a previous fight that left her left arm and legs useless. Ever since then, she had become withdrawn and quiet, refusing to speak to anyone. Taeyeon babies her a lot, even though Tiffany keeps protesting. Hyoyeon: Hyoyeon is a hot headed person who can be rather crude at times. Despite her shortcomings, she is a highly trained assassin with a knack for infiltration. She is Kwangya’s go to fighter and works well with Yoona. Yoona: Yoona is a playful and dorky girl who is actually an expert killer. She uses her innocent looks to her advantage and she pairs up with Hyoyeon a lot to carry out missions. Seohyun: Kwangya’s best kept secret and the smartest out of all of them. She works as a lab tech while also being a whiz with technology, which was considered useless by society. Her intelligence and use of technology actually aids the group a lot with the mission despite what people think of technology being outdated. Boram: Seohyun’s tiny assistant who is always smiling. She reminds Taeyeon of Tiffany and is good friends with the latter. Boram used to be an assassin for Black Mamba, but she defected and decided to help Seohyun. Naevis: Leader: Jiyeon Jiyeon is the young, but not inexperienced leader of Naevis, a group slowly growing in power. Jiyeon is a cold hearted person, but she cares for her men. She is thinking of forging an alliance with Black Mamba. Eunjung: Eunjung is Jiyeon’s second in command who is the total opposite of her. She is a bright and bubbly girl with a positive attitude. Eunjung is against the alliance and is wary of Black Mamba. She also does not trust Jessica. Jessica: Jessica is a highly trained assassin and infiltrator who is known for her cold looks and unforgiving demeanour. Jessica is very strict with herself and with her men, and is one of Jiyeon’s most trusted people. She has an obvious dislike for Eunjung. Sooyoung: Sooyoung is the genius hacker of Naevis. Although she is not as skilled as Seohyun, she is still not to be messed with. Sooyoung has a big personality and an even bigger stomach, making her the perfect companion for Eunjung. Chapter 1 Her face was as cold as ice, staring blankly at the wall, a murderous glint in her eyes. The sword in her hand gleamed, the blood still flowing off it, forming a puddle at her feet. Her lips were twisted in a snarl, or rather, her attempt at a half smile. “Enter.” She ordered, and three people slipped into the room. The girl in the lead halted, watching her carefully. The leader made no attempt to hide her disgust as she turned around, eyeing the trio up and down. They were covered in filth and blood, and their clothes were torn and ripped to shreds. Wordlessly, the leader plunged her sword into the side of a man, who just barely concealed his pain. He immediately stood up straight, trying to mask the pain. The other two barely even flinched. “All twenty three dead, no casualties on our side.” The girl at the head reported, her stunning pink hair billowing behind her. “No casualties, yet. You always forget that last word, dear sister. You'd never know if one day somebody just dropped dead. We wouldn’t want that now, would we?” The leader sneered. Do not react. She’s just trying to get a reaction out of you. The pink haired girl remained silent, as blank faced and quiet as ever. The leader sneered once more before turning her back to them, waving her hand dismissively. The trio bowed, and made their exit. “She’s still bitter over our duel.” The pink haired girl remarked when they were out of earshot. “Please, it’s been ten years already. You’d think she would have gotten over it already.” The man groaned, trying to staunch the bleeding. “Let’s just get to the medical centre, then we’ll talk. You won’t be any good like this.” The other girl, a small, wispy girl with long black hair suggested. Just as they were about to enter the medical centre, Hyomin, the pink haired girl, heard footsteps approaching, and instinctively took on a defensive stance. A small girl with a blonde pixie cut was walking towards them, a slight smile on her face. The girl behind her was not so happy, and cast a glare at the girl behind Hyomin, her second in command, Soyeon. Soyeon returned the look, immediately crossing her arms. “Good to see that you’re fine, or alive at least.” The pixie haired girl said with a hint of relief. “I don’t have to say the same thing about you. Are you going to see her royal highness?” Hyomin replied, rolling her eyes. Yuri, Hyomin’s older sister, was the infamous leader of Black Mamba, with her merciless and brutal strength, as well as her demanding nature. Hence, her royal highness being the nickname Hyomin and Sunny used behind her back. “Yeah. She’s not happy again is she? Wait, that’s not even a question. The last time I saw her smile was when she was three.” Sunny joked. Hyomin cracked a smile, but was interrupted by a cough from Soyeon. “Ah, you better get going. I need to get my team healed up.” Hyomin quickly said, fumbling slightly. Sunny pulled Hyomin in close, so close that Hyomin could feel her breath on her cheek. “Be safe, I love you.” Sunny whispered, placing a peck on Hyomin’s cheek. Hyomin nodded in reply, and the two went their separate ways. As Hyomin was watching Sunny’s gradually disappearing back, she noticed Soyeon scowling at Qri, Sunny’s partner, and swiped at her. “Don’t do that! Show some respect.” Hyomin chided. Soyeon stuck her tongue out playfully, pouting. “I don’t like her. She’s always giving me weird looks, and I can tell she hates me. She speaks to me as if I’m far below her, like an apprentice.” Soyeon grumbled. “Qri is just shy, and besides, she is older than you. You really need to learn how to respect your seniors around here.” Hyomin replied. Soyeon made a face behind her back, causing the man to burst into laughter. Hyomin cast him a cool look, and he schooled his face into nonchalance, staring at Soyeon, amused. “I’m older than you too!” Soyeon retorted, half whining. Hyomin jokingly raised her hand in preparation to slap Soyeon, but couldn’t help but burst into laughter at Soyeon’s impish face. “You may be older but you act younger. Besides, I’m more senior in rank, so hush child.” “Black Mamba launched another attack today. Their target today was NCT. All of the members are dead, and their base was bombed. Looks like the work of Hyomin and her gang from the symbol carved into their skin.” Seohyun reported. Taeyeon sighed, rubbing her temple while groaning. "That Yuri is really trying to take over the whole country. She's too ambitious for her own good, but no one can stop her. They're all too scared of her." Taeyeon grumbled. "That's why we should do something about it." Hyoyeon suggested. "Sounds good to me." Yoona agreed. Seohyun frowned, not too pleased with the suggestion. She knew that every mission came with a risk, and injuries. She could tell Taeyeon was not too pleased with the idea either, judging from her anxious face. "It is a big risk, but isn't it worth a shot?" Boram asked, poking her tiny head into the room. "Risk means potential injuries Boram, we've already lost so many men and Tiffany....never mind. I just don't want anyone else to get hurt." Taeyeon replied. "I'll go! I'm the best at infiltration here, and I'll have backup just in case. Hyoyeon unnie will go with me right?" Yoona volunteered. Hyoyeon nodded, high-fiving Yoona. Taeyeon still looked reluctant, but caught sight of Tiffany lurking in the corridor. Tiffany was nodding her head in agreement to Yoona, staring straight back at Taeyeon, as if daring her to object. "Okay then. Yoona and Hyoyeon will go with some of our men. Yoona, it would be best if you could get into their database. I highly doubt their technology would be very good since it's pretty much redundant to them, no offence to Seohyun, and they don't have a technologist. Most of their files should still be kept on computers if I'm not wrong since most people wouldn't go for them, and Seohyun could help set up a program to get pass the firewalls. We'll move out once the program is ready." Taeyeon instructed. "Got it." "Aish, this place stinks." Yoona complained. "Just hurry up and get the files so you can get out of there then!" Came Hyoyeon's voice over the intercom. Yoona rolled her eyes and turned back to her assignment, getting past the guards. "Hey, I was sent here to take over the shift. You've worked hard, get some rest." Yoona said with her most charming smile. The guards looked her up and down, suspicion in their gaze. "Who are you? I haven't seen you around, and I know practically everybody." One of them asked. "Me? I'm new. I'm a cousin of Captain Yuri." Yoona lied, flashing the fake pass Tiffany and Boram had made for her. The guards did not seem to buy her story, refusing to move from their places. "Must I get my cousin down here to tell you herself? I'm sure she won't just let you go lightly if she found out that you disobeyed her orders." Yoona said with a dramatic sigh, picking at her nails. The guards exchanged nervous glances, they did not want to get on Yuri's bad side. "Don't try any funny business. Just because the captain is your cousin doesn't mean she'll let you off lightly either." The second guard warned, moving away. Yoona smiled, patting them on the shoulder. "Good choice. You just saved your lives." She chirped, watching them trudge off. "Well that was fairly easy." She muttered over the intercom. She could hear Hyoyeon's laughter coming from the other side. "What big fools. They see such a pretty girl and they can't resist!" Hyoyeon cackled. Yoona checked to make sure no one was watching her, then slipped into the warehouse. Her eyes took a moment to adjust to the darkness, but she could finally make out rows and rows of boxes and files and computers, all worn down and dusty. "There's so bloody many computers, how do I know which one holds the files?" Yoona grumbled. "Look for the computer right at the end. I overheard Yuri talking about it before." Boram suggested. Finally, Yoona found the computer and followed Seohyun's instructions. She hit the power button and inserted the thumb drive Seohyun had made into an outlet, watching as the screen magically whirred to life and proceeded to unlock itself. Yoona then looked through the various founders until her eyes landed on something interesting. "G7? What is that?" She mumbled to herself. "Just download it and get out!" Hyoyeon urged. Yoona copied the files over to the thumb drive, and just as she unplugged it, she felt something cold and sharp press again her neck. "Who are you?"

What's My Name? The practice room is quiet as Soyeon walks in with Boram following her. None of the other members are there yet and she doesn’t know if she’s relieved or heartbroken. She turns to Boram and asks her if she’s hungry, but her unnie shakes her head with a distant look. She watches Boram go to rest at the seating area in the corner and wants to follow but turns toward the mirrored wall instead. Standing there staring at herself, Soyeon thinks she’s an absolute mess. She hardly had any sleep the previous night and knows that she won’t have any tonight either. When she’s had enough with herself, she turns away and lets her bag drop to the floor, following it to the ground. The loud clatter of it catches Boram’s attention and her phone is thrown somewhere as she quickly jumps up from sitting and runs to Soyeon who’s lying on the floor. “It’s ok Boram unnie. I just feel like lying down for a bit,” Soyeon assures Boram in a calm voice. “You scared me. I thought you fainted,” Boram says as she kneels down next to Soyeon. Soyeon is lying on her back and staring at the ceiling in a dazed manner. A tiny hand rests on her forehead and her eyes go to meet Boram’s as they share a small smile together. Boram joins her in lying on the floor as the silence stretches in the room. Time passes where Soyeon asks Boram where the other members are and Boram says they’re on their way, having checked their group-chat earlier. “What is the meaning of life?” Soyeon suddenly asks with her eyes still staring at the white ceiling. “You’ve been asking that a lot lately,” Boram comments back. “Because I want to know the answer. Now more than ever.” It’s quiet again and Soyeon thinks that she won’t get an answer, but she’s spoke too soon because Boram is talking again. “Soyeon-ah, life is life. Even if you’re hurt, it’s something you have to deal with, but it doesn’t have to be alone. You have family and friends with you, ok?” Boram tells her in a big sister way that comes out rarely and only during sincere situations like this. Soyeon cracks a small smile at the answer and thinks it’s so very like their number one little, big sister: Jeon Boram. Kind, caring, and warm just like her heart. The door of the practice room opens a second later and they know immediately who it is upon hearing that chuckle. It’s Eunjung and she’s asking them what they’re doing on the floor. Soyeon’s eyes don’t leave from the ceiling as her hand goes up to wave Eunjung over to join them. They hear her bag drop to the floor and her footsteps louder in their ears as she finally joins them on the floor. “So what are you guys doing?” Eunjung asks again, clasping her hands together to rest on her waist. “Nothing, just waiting and talking,” Soyeon replies. “What do you think is the meaning of life, Eunjung?” Boram repeats Soyeon’s question from earlier. They’re lying in silence as Eunjung is thinking of an answer. “Hmm, isn’t life meant to be lived? Live the way you want, do the things you want, and just live happily,” she answers optimistically. Soyeon dwells on that answer for a moment. She thinks it’s a good answer as expected from their first leader and top optimist: Hahm Eunjung. It’s encouraging, resilient, and bright much akin to her personality. She thinks about it for a long while as Eunjung and Boram are conversing now and then hears the door open again. A husky voice belonging to their maknae is asking them why they are on the floor and Soyeon sees Eunjung’s hand go up out of the corner of her eye this time to wave Jiyeon over. Soyeon hears excited skipping and smiles at the cute childish action she imagines Jiyeon doing. “Why are we lying on the floor for? Are we planning something?” Jiyeon asks curiously. “No, just waiting for everyone and talking,” Soyeon gives the same answer as when Eunjung walked in. “That’s good too, but why on the floor?” Jiyeon asks with a little laugh now. “Soyeon started it,” Boram explains first. “Yeah ok guys, so anyway, what do you think is the meaning of life, Jiyeon-ah?” Eunjung cuts in and asks the same question from before. Silence always follows after that question and Soyeon thinks that it truly is a difficult question to answer. She can hear Jiyeon exhale loudly and flip around on the floor to get more comfortable. “Life is about working hard and never giving up. Always do your best to live to the fullest,” Jiyeon answers with a fist held high in the air. Soyeon gazes at that fist and admires it wholly. It’s an answer fitting for their big baby maknae: Park Jiyeon. Passionate, willful, and unbending just like her spirit. Soyeon stares at the ceiling again and hears Jiyeon complaining about how uncomfortable the floor is and Eunjung is laughing. Boram tells them it isn’t so bad and Jiyeon concludes that maybe her blazer is to blame for the discomfort. Eunjung tells her to take it off then and Soyeon hears Jiyeon sit up and sees her hair flip around in the air. “Are we just going to go down the line and keep asking everyone that question?” Boram asks after Jiyeon lies back down. “Should we? It’s kind of fun,” Eunjung suggests in her cheerful way. “What? Who started asking who?” Jiyeon asks because she’s confused on the situation right now and Boram is the one who explains it to her in light detail. The next second, Soyeon hears the door open again and manages a small laugh when Hyomin jokes about how she should have arrived sooner to slack off with them. Eunjung, Jiyeon, and Boram are waving her over and Soyeon finds that she likes the aesthetic of their hands in the air as if they’re reaching for the sky. She hears Hyomin’s bag drop to the ground like the others and listens to her footsteps on the hardwood floor come closer. “How long have you guys been lying here like this?” Hyomin asks as she lies down in their near complete circle where one spot is still open. “For a while now. We were talking while waiting for everyone,” Soyeon answers. “On the floor?” Hyomin questions again. “That’s what I said!” Jiyeon chimes in with all four of her limbs going into the air for a second before falling to the floor again. “Don’t you think it’s nice though?” Eunjung adds in a nostalgic tone. “I don’t mind it,” Boram agrees with Eunjung. “Oh, wait a second, it’s my turn to ask! Hyomin unnie, what do you think is the meaning of life?” Jiyeon asks after remembering their conversation from earlier. Soyeon expects the silence this time but doesn’t expect it to be so long as Hyomin ponders for an answer. Long enough that Jiyeon and Eunjung are making fun of Hyomin and asking if she’s sleeping. Soyeon hears Hyomin laugh lightly before pondering again. “Hmm, the meaning of life is, um, I think that maybe life is supposed to be an experience. As you live, you experience life and there are happy times but also sad times and all those things are things you carry with you forever. When you’re older and look back on those experiences, you can say that that was your life and no one else's,” Hyomin answers with her sincerest thoughts and also a lot of pausing. It’s quiet for a moment before Hyomin starts laughing and then the other members are laughing too. Soyeon smiles a little from hearing them before thinking about Hyomin’s answer seriously. A perfect essay answer that can only come from their smart and multi-talented mood maker: Park Hyomin. Thoughtful and sincere just like her words. “Have you guys just been asking each other this question the entire time?” Hyomin asks after they stop laughing and teasing her. “I’m just following what they’re doing,” Jiyeon explains as if this is in no way her idea. “Soyeon started it,” Boram says again. “Well Soyeon unnie asked Boram unnie, Boram unnie asked me, I asked Jiyeon, and then Jiyeon asked you,” Eunjung explains the long chain of who asked who. “So what, am I supposed to ask Qri unnie when she comes?” Hyomin asks still confused if they want to continue this chain. “Of course, we have to hear everyone’s answer now that we’ve gone this far,” Eunjung confirms. “Yeah, but what’s taking Qri unnie so long? She’s usually first when we’re meeting each other,” Jiyeon points out. “Don’t blame her, it’s the leader’s responsibility that makes her late,” Boram defends. “Shouldn’t leaders always be first?” Jiyeon asks because she’s never had that responsibility before. “Leaders are second, the team is first,” Eunjung answers and the others go in awe. “As expected from first leader,” Hyomin comments with praise. Soyeon is quietly listening to them chat about leaders and responsibility and other things and something in the pit of her stomach churns. It’s twisting and she feels unwell as they continue. It isn’t long until they all quiet down and stare at the ceiling together. Boram is asking if Qri has sent a message in their group-chat and Jiyeon checks her phone before saying there are no new messages. As soon as Jiyeon finishes typing a message and sending it, Soyeon hears the door open and Qri’s familiar text tone echoes. She laughs and asks them why they’re all lying on the floor of the practice room. Soyeon sees all of the other members hands go up in the air again to wave Qri over and she truly loves the visually pleasing aesthetic of it. Her hand goes up to join theirs this time and finally their circle is complete as Qri lies down with them. “So what are we doing here?” Qri asks after an awkward silence and some giggles from the members. “Well, we were talking while waiting but it looks like everyone’s here now,” Soyeon answers the same question for the last time. “Where were you? You’re later than usual,” Jiyeon asks curiously. “We covered that already Jiyeon. A leader has responsibilities,” Eunjung explains again. “It’s really a lot of work. Planning, approving, and discussing schedules and projects, on top of taking care of a group of people who trust you to lead them. It’s tough,” Hyomin explains further. “I think Qri’s quite good at it though,” Boram throws in some praise. “I agree,” Eunjung adds. “Me too, though she’s kind of too quiet on talk shows, and doesn’t introduce us properly, and always makes Soyeon unnie and Eunjung unnie introduce our albums,” Jiyeon randomly rants with a laugh. Everyone is agreeing and teasing Qri while laughing now, and instead of denying it, Qri is just laughing along with them because it’s true. Then after it dies down, Soyeon hears Hyomin ask the question that has gone through all of them. “Qri unnie, what do you think is the meaning of life?” Hyomin asks their last member. Silence follows as expected and Soyeon can sense the mood change slightly. Qri is taking her time in forming an answer and none of them are surprised because Qri has always been that way when asked an unexpected question. “Why are you asking me this all of a sudden?” Qri suddenly asks them instead of answering the question. “Just answer the question Qri unnie,” Jiyeon tells her with an unintentional whiny tone. “Yeah, don’t avoid it like you usually do,” Eunjung adds in reinforcement. Soyeon laughs at how they start to gang up on Qri now and are bringing up all the times she either successfully avoided speaking or almost did like that one time during their Tiamo Vline album release. Qri is shamelessly laughing too before she tells them to calm down so she can answer the question seriously. “I think there’s no answer to this question,” Qri answers with basically no answer and the other members are complaining about her not making any sense. “What I mean is that the meaning of life is different for everybody so there’s no real answer. I’m not sure how you all see it, but for me personally, I think the meaning of life is to find the meaning of life. Find who you truly are, be true to yourself, and never become something you’re not.” Everyone is silent now and Soyeon thinks that Qri should have become something else other than an idol. The amount of levelheadedness and sense she possesses is something special. A philosophical answer such as that one can only come from their one and only soft-spoken cutie pretty leader: Lee Qri. True, cool, and mysterious just like her charms. “Woah, Qri unnie truly is a genius,” Eunjung remarks because this isn’t the first time they all are speechless from something she’s said. “Yeah, remember that time when she got the right number of 'eh eh' repetitions in the Tiamo intro?” Soyeon says in recollection. “And that time when she kept correcting Hyomin unnie’s wild imaginations of the cookie cutters,” Jiyeon adds with a laugh because how can a stocking look like the country of Korea? “Hey, it was upside down. How was I supposed to know it was a stocking?” Hyomin defends herself while the others are laughing. “That’s what we love about you though. Your imagination is absolutely daebak,” Eunjung compliments. “Yup, like that time you won the rice package contest on Invincible Youth. You even made your own outfit for Roly Poly and people were asking where to buy it,” Jiyeon points out. “I miss those days,” Boram randomly says and then they all start to reminisce about the past. “Yeah, I lost all my baby fat during that time and finally started to look cool,” Jiyeon praises herself which Eunjung laughs at. “I’ll always remember that one segment where they played Qri unnie’s lines backwards and-” “And I said ‘I’ll kill you?’” Qri finishes Eunjung’s sentence and they all burst into laughter as she admits she can never sing the song again without thinking of that. “We finally got to all act together there even if it was for a few short clips,” Boram recalls nostalgically. “It’s too bad we didn’t get to do it again in Cry Cry or Lovey Dovey,” Hyomin says regretfully. “Or Day by Day and Sexy Love,” Jiyeon adds. “I can’t believe that was five to six years ago already,” Eunjung comments. “I wonder if we still have those outfits,” Soyeon wonders aloud, thinking of all the leather they wore then. “No! I don’t want to give up food for a month again!” Hyomin declares and refuses to go where this conversation is going. “You say that now but you’ll do it faithfully later,” Qri states factually. “Yeah if I have to, not that I want to,” Hyomin replies back in defeat. “I wonder if we still have those outfits from when we dressed up as boys,” Boram chimes in at the mention of past outfits. “Oh! I would wear those again!” Jiyeon says with excitement. “Yeah, those are probably the most comfortable stage outfits we’ve ever had,” Soyeon admits. “Remember when we arrived and no one knew it was us so they kept asking what boy group we were?” Hyomin says and they all clap while saying that was the best. “But then they saw Boram unnie and our cover was blown,” Eunjung teases and receives a playful slap from Boram in retaliation. “We really should have just sent out Qri and seen if they could ever guess it was her,” Boram states with a laugh. “Even I didn’t recognize her. I remember when I was changing and Qri unnie came into the dressing room and I screamed because I thought she was a boy,” Jiyeon recalls for them her traumatizing experience that makes them laugh. “Qri unnie gained a lot of female fans that day. I remember this because it was the first time I heard our fans screaming ‘Qri unnie’ or ‘Qri oppa’ more than any of our names,” Soyeon tells them and they all laugh again. Silence fills the air as they lie there quietly reminiscing of the past now. Soyeon sees someone’s hand go in the air and recognizes the bracelet as belonging to Hyomin. The atmosphere changes in a matter of seconds because of one question from Hyomin and Soyeon remembers why they call her their mood maker. “Do you think Hwayoung or Areum ever reminisces like this?” No one answers and yet Hyomin continues. “Do you think… are we like this because of me?” “It’s no one’s fault,” Eunjung tells her. “Are you sure about that?” Hyomin replies rather quickly. “It’s everyone’s fault meaning it’s really no one’s fault. Things like that just happen sometimes in life,” Boram answers this time. Soyeon watches Hyomin’s hand slowly go down now and she gains just a little more respect on top of the enormous amount she already has for Boram. She thinks about it though, really thinks about it, and wonders if it truly was a passing bad event in life or if it called for blame. Hyomin is trying to say something now, and Soyeon hears a choke in her voice and knows that she’s on the verge of tears. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. Because of what I tweeted, it’s all my fault. If it was just me, if people just hated me… I’m sorry I dragged all of you into this,” Hyomin apologizes in a weak voice. “It’s not your fault. We all retweeted you and left comments. It if wasn’t you, it was bound to be one of us that started it. We were young and stupid then,” Eunjung tells her again. “All of us were having a hard time. Hwayoung wouldn’t talk or listen and we eventually stopped trying. We just couldn’t reach each other. We still can’t,” Soyeon says. They all go quiet and Soyeon can hear Hyomin trying so hard to hold back her sobs. She knows Eunjung and Jiyeon are doing the same because whenever Hyomin speaks from her heart, Jiyeon starts crying first and when Hyomin sees Jiyeon crying, she starts crying and after that, Eunjung follows because they’re both crying. Boram and Qri are quiet and Soyeon knows that they are the ones who don’t cry easily. Boram only cries when everyone else is crying or when she feels like she’s failed as their big sister. Qri is even more difficult to explain. She just becomes unnaturally quiet with her eyes looking down at her fingers. It’s rare to see her cry but if she does, Soyeon knows that everyone else will already be crying buckets. “There’s always been one thing that I wanted to ask. Why didn’t you retweet Hyomin, Qri?” Boram asks and everyone starts to ask the same thing because out of all of them, Qri is the only one, minus Areum, who didn’t reply that day. “Well, I…” Qri pauses and instead of hearing her usual chuckle, it’s just quiet. “I don’t think I can explain it.” “Just try,” Eunjung encourages her. It’s quiet again and Soyeon waits patiently for the answer because secretly, she’s always wanted to ask Qri this question. She hears a small exhale come from Qri and Boram is telling her she doesn’t need to answer if she doesn’t want to. “Honestly, I think it’s because more than being angry or hurt, I felt bad for her,” Qri admits. “Why?” Soyeon asks. “Because she was just a kid and had no idea what she was getting into. Being an idol isn’t what most people think it is. Even me, I don’t think I knew what being an idol was back then when I auditioned, and I’m sure none of you knew either. I sure didn’t. I just wanted to be somebody,” Qri explains. “But you’re still here. We’re still here. Why is it so different?” Jiyeon asks because it just sounds like excuses to her. “Because it’s just like Hyomin said: there was a difference in determination. Even though it sounds mean, it was and still is the truth. She couldn’t deal with it. We were barely dealing with it back then. Dance practice, singing practice, music show performances, our Japan tour, variety shows, reality shows, charity events, drama schedules, roly poly musicals, our online shopping mall and coffee shop, how did we ever live back then? We even performed YaYaYa in negative temperatures wearing barely anything. Could we have lived through a schedule like that until now?” Qri asks and honestly no one can answer. “You should have been leader back then, Qri,” Soyeon says because Qri already knew what took the rest of them weeks, months, even years to figure out. “It wouldn’t have mattered and it doesn't matter now because one of us was going to crack at some point. There was no stopping it,” Qri tells her. Soyeon knows that Qri is just saying that to make her feel better but she still appreciates it because for Qri to tell a white lie, the reason has to be above important. She feels Boram’s hand wrap around her own now and accepts the comfort. “You’re not mad at her then?” Hyomin asks with a more stable voice than before. “Of course I’m mad,” Qri answers truthfully and if this was any other situation, the others would be laughing because she admits it so easily and an event like that is unprecedented. “If she couldn’t take it anymore, why didn’t she just tell us? I can’t speak for everyone, but I would have understood that feeling. She gave up but her pride was too big for her to admit it and that’s one thing I’ll never forgive because for us, this is our dream, but for her, I wonder if it was just a simple hobby.” Soyeon unintentionally squeezes Boram’s hand because her chest is aching terribly from listening to the realistic values in Qri’s words and she feels Boram squeeze back. Why couldn’t Qri have been leader back then? Why couldn’t Hwayoung just talk to them back then? And Soyeon, why couldn’t she just… “I don’t think we’ll ever hear Qri unnie talk so much again,” Hyomin attempts a joke and Eunjung and Jiyeon are the ones who let out a chuckle. They’re all quiet now and Soyeon knows they have to practice for their concert, but she doesn’t feel like getting up. Her body is heavier than lead and there’s a knot in her stomach that refuses to untie itself. The others are talking about something, but she can only focus on the pain in her chest. “About that question earlier, what did everyone answer?” Hyomin asks. “You should have come earlier if you wanted to hear them all,” Eunjung replies. “Hey, I want to hear everyone’s answers too,” Jiyeon chimes in. “I’m glad I came early,” Boram says. “What are you guys talking about?” Qri asks because she was the last to arrive and Boram explains the long question chain to her. “Poor Qri unnie didn’t get to hear any answers,” Jiyeon says with a laugh. “Well at least I got to hear one,” Hyomin comments. “I think you guys are forgetting someone,” Qri tells them. “What? Are you going to ask our manager when he comes?” Eunjung guesses and Jiyeon laughs. “I wonder what he would say,” Boram muses. They’re rambling and Soyeon only catches bits of pieces of their conversation as her mind floats elsewhere in thoughts she shouldn’t have. She’s drowning in them and this isn’t the first time, but it doesn’t feel like the last either. She doesn’t come back until she hears her name from Qri. “Soyeon, what is the meaning of your life?” Qri asks. It catches her completely off guard because Qri is asking her what the meaning of her life is and not what the meaning of a life is. She doesn’t know if Qri just doesn’t remember the question correctly or if she’s intentionally asking it like that. She thinks that Qri truly is a genius and admires but hates it at the same time. She doesn’t want to answer but the others are waiting and she hates to make them wait, so she says the first thing that comes to mind, “I don’t know,” she answers. Eunjung tells her to take her time while Hyomin is praising Qri for getting them another answer to listen to. Jiyeon is asking Boram if Soyeon gave an answer before and Boram says she didn’t. Soyeon is feeling the pressure now because even if she takes her time to think about it, she can’t find an answer. The meaning of her life, she doesn’t know if one exists. “I don’t want to answer,” Soyeon says suddenly. “What? But we have to hear everyone’s answer,” Eunjung claims. “Yeah, we can’t leave anyone out,” Jiyeon agrees. “Just say whatever you want to say,” Hyomin tells her. “Even if it doesn’t make sense,” Qri adds. “Go on, Soyeon-ah,” Boram encourages. Her chest hurts so very much from hearing their sincere words for her because she loves these girls. She loves them more than anything and to know that they feel the same makes her heart so happy it hurts. Before she knows it, her feelings are taking form and her hand shoots to her eyes. “Soyeon unnie, are you crying?” Eunjung asks. Soyeon can hear all of them shuffle around to take a look at her now but she still tries to hide it even though it’s useless at this point. She can’t look at them and keeps her hand over her closed eyes as Boram pulls her up now and soon everyone is being crushed into a big group hug that starts with Hyomin and ends with Qri. Eunjung’s thumbs wipe away at Soyeon’s cheeks as soon as they separate, and Hyomin throws an arm around Soyeon’s shoulders to hold her close while Boram never lets go of their hands together. “I’m sorry. I,” Soyeon pauses because she has to swallow down a sob before it comes out and the others are waiting patiently for her. “I haven’t been a good unnie or leader or anything and I’m sorry because everything is my fault. I wasn’t mature enough for any of you then and I’m not now either.” “It’s not your fault,” Eunjung tells her. “No, it is because if I had done something about it earlier, Hyomin would have never tweeted that. If I had been a better leader, Areum wouldn’t have left. And I’m sorry to Qri unnie because I gave you a broken T-ara. I couldn't protect any of you,” Soyeon points out all of her faults for them. Soyeon sees Jiyeon start crying and then witnesses the domino effect happen with Hyomin next and Eunjung following, and since the four of them are crying, Boram breaks and even though Qri is quiet, Soyeon sees her wipe the tears from her eyes. “After my car accident back then, I know I shouldn’t have, but I read the comments then and it hurt so much. The things people were saying about me being a bad leader and that I faked being injured and how I deserved it, it hurt a lot but deep down I think they were right. It’s always been my fault. And when I really think about it, back then I… I think I should have just died back then,” Soyeon finally admits with a shake in her voice. “Shut up, don’t ever say that again!” Hyomin scolds her and shakes her by her shoulders. Soyeon can see the endless tears in her eyes and can’t remember that last time Hyomin was mad enough to swear at her. Hyomin is angrily repeating herself again and again, but it reduces to soft pleas as the sobs take over. She’s trapped in Hyomin’s arms now and looks to see Jiyeon sobbing her eyes out while Eunjung is rubbing her back and trying to remain strong though it's failing terribly. Boram is the same as Jiyeon and Soyeon squeezes their still clasped hands. She sees Qri pat Boram’s leg gently in comfort and has to turn away because seeing their two eldest being so fragile breaks her heart. Hyomin is holding Soyeon so tightly that it hurts a little but she doesn't want her to let go. The sweet fragrance from Hyomin's shampoo fills her completely and she's scared that she'll never experience this again. She'll never feel this warmth from them again. All of them are a sobbing mess and it takes a long time, a very long time, for them to recover just a bit of composure. They’re sitting in a tight circle now and all holding hands and some are leaning on each other and Soyeon feels it’s her responsibility to speak first because she’s the one who started it. “I’m sorry. It’s just been hard because we’ve always been together through everything and to think that this is the last time that we'll ever,” Soyeon stops because she's going to start crying again and she can't because then the domino effect will happen again. “That we'll ever be together like this is unfair. I don't want it to end like this.” “This isn't the end,” Eunjung tells them, and they all look to her. “I don't want us to end like this either. I don't think I can accept that.” “Me either. I can't accept this as the end. I won't,” Hyomin agrees. “Then should we make a promise?” Boram suggests. “Yeah, let’s make a promise,” Jiyeon says. “Ok, a promise then,” Soyeon nods. “What should we promise?” Qri asks. Everyone looks at each other and Soyeon wants to speak first but surprisingly Boram beats her to it. Even then, Soyeon is glad because honestly, she’s still so emotionally distressed from her confession earlier and isn’t sure she can talk now anyway. “Even though Soyeon and I are leaving like this, it’s not because we want to. We want to stay until the end, but we can’t and even though you guys know that already, I still want to say it. Because of that, I want you guys to promise to work hard for us. Even though we won’t be there, we still will be in spirit,” Boram says. “Of course,” Eunjung promises as do the others that are staying. “Let’s promise to always tell each other when we’re hurt or sad or feel like we can’t take it anymore,” Hyomin says and Soyeon looks at her. “No matter what, we tell each other before anything else.” Hyomin leans on Soyeon’s shoulder now because she’s exhausted. The pressure of it feels nice to Soyeon and a small amount of guilt creeps up in her chest. Obviously it’s about her and maybe a little bit about Hwayoung and Areum, but mostly about her because they did almost lose her forever whether it happened with the car accident or something else. “And let’s always believe in each other. No matter what anybody else says about us, only we know each other better than anyone,” Jiyeon adds. “That’s right. We’ve been together for this long through thick and thin, and no one else can say otherwise. We’re not just co-workers anymore, we’re a family and that’s how we’ll always be,” Eunjung states. Soyeon has to look away at the word “family.” It’s such a simple word yet it holds such a complex meaning. She always wanted sisters when she was young. People who would listen to her and talk to her and laugh with her because truth be told, being an only child is so very lonely. T-ara: her second family. She likes it more than she will probably ever admit. “I know that this is not how any of us want T-ara to end, but this is how it is and we can’t change that now. Boram and I are leaving, you four are releasing the last album, and our final concert is only a few days away. Even if all of that is true, I don’t want it to be the end of us. Even if we aren’t T-ara anymore, even if we don’t come back again as six at the end of December, even if we decide to do solo careers or just live as normal people, let’s not treat each other as strangers or distant acquaintances we once knew because I,” Soyeon stops because her voice is choking up. God, she hates crying and especially in front of other people. She doesn’t look pretty, and her makeup always runs, and it always looks fake when she does because she tries to stop it before it happens. Right now, she wishes she had Qri’s ability of incredibly high emotional control or even Hyomin’s way of being able to blurt everything she needed to before actually transforming into a sobbing scene. “Because I love all of you. I do so much and I don’t know how I can ever live again without any of you in my life. I don’t even know how I’m going to make it until December without doing schedules together or practicing together or even reading everyone’s stupid random texts in our group chat.” Everyone giggles at the last part even though they’re fighting tears. It’s hard not to considering about eighty percent of their texts consists of Hyomin’s dumb jokes, Jiyeon’s skateboard adventures, Eunjung and Soyeon’s smart-aleck comments, and Boram and Qri’s “lol” replies. “I think I’m afraid that I won’t want this anymore and that I’m going to let you and all of our fans down. I’m not going to lie. I might change my mind after March and decide not to do this anymore because a lot can happen in half a year. Nine months total, that’s even more than half a year. I might not be the same person after that,” Soyeon admits truthfully. “That doesn’t matter,” Hyomin says while still leaning on Soyeon’s shoulder. “You’re always going to be Park Soyeon. T-ara’s Park Soyeon. Our Soyeon we know and love. Always.” Everyone is nodding and agreeing and the good achy feeling fills Soyeon’s chest again. What would she ever do without them? She brings a hand up to her eyes to hide herself again, and it’s a good long while after everyone’s composed themselves that Hyomin separates from her to look at everyone. “We were planning on giving you all this after our concert, but after talking today, I think this is as good a time as any. Qri unnie, did you get them?” Hyomin asks. Soyeon looks to Qri now as does everyone else and sees her nod with a simple “yeah” in response. They watch her get up off the floor and go over to her bag. She comes back with a long, slim box tied in ribbon similar to those boxed chocolates they sell on Valentine’s Day, and Soyeon raises an eyebrow in curiosity as Qri sits back down before opening the item. Then everyone goes in awe at the treasure inside: six sunflower keychains. “The truth is that I was late because I went across town to pick these up. I had to get them as soon as I heard they were finished this morning,” Qri confesses. Hyomin and Qri are passing them out now and Soyeon can only stare dumbly at it in her hand. It isn’t until Eunjung or Jiyeon says something about the back that Soyeon flips it over and sees the engravings that pull on her heartstrings and makes her smile. Their signature T-ara crown along with each of their initials is engraved neatly. B-Q-S-E-H-J “How did you get these? They look custom made,” Boram asks. “The back, did you guys see the back?” Jiyeon tells them and tells them again. “Daebak. I think I have to frame it instead of put it on my keys,” Eunjung says. “You have to put it on your keys. That way it’s always with you,” Hyomin tells her. “And we worked very hard to get these done so you better not lose them,” Qri warns. “That’s right. Me and Qri unnie slaved away all of our free time to draw these and have them made,” Hyomin exaggerates. “More like it took you only five minutes to draw it,” Qri comments. Hyomin shushes Qri while Jiyeon laughs. Boram and Eunjung are still admiring the trinkets and praising the sensible design as something expected from their creative duo. Soyeon hears them gushing over the keychains but she hasn’t said a word yet. Her eyes can’t leave from it as she continues to stare at the vibrant colors. Only six of these exist in the world and that’s something Soyeon can’t wrap her head around. There are only six. Just six. “It doesn’t matter if it took me five minutes to draw it, the planning took forever!” Hyomin defends. “Yeah, I’ll admit I lost sleep over that,” Qri agrees. “You should have let me draw too,” Jiyeon says. “I’m pretty sure they would look like fried eggs with a green onion if you drew them,” Eunjung comments. Jiyeon playfully hits Eunjung with her dinosaur slap while the others laugh. Soyeon finally tears her eyes away from the keychain in her hand and looks to each and every one of them. Then those words full of sincerity fall from her lips with a smile: thank you. They smile back and she knows that they understand what she’s trying to say. Their secret code, something only they understand. No words can truly describe that kind of understanding they have. “Ok, I think it’s about time for practice!” Eunjung announces. “Aw, can’t we slack off some more?” Jiyeon whines and falls back to lie on the floor again. “Yeah, I don’t want to practice,” Hyomin agrees while falling to lean on Soyeon’s shoulder. “Eunjung’s right though. We should practice,” Soyeon reinforces. “Didn’t someone forget to make a promise?” Boram wonders aloud. “Well, I’m ready for practice,” Qri says while standing up. Everyone looks at Qri who just gives them an innocent smile before they all gang up on her trying to weasel out of talking. She’s laughing as usual and Jiyeon clings to her leg to prevent her from running away while Boram goes for her hand to pull her back down by force. Eunjung and Hyomin are complaining for her to speak up, and Soyeon can only laugh because Qri has that playful “And I almost got away with it” face while being scolded which is just hilarious. “Ok, fine. Let’s promise to always be happy, healthy, and together forever. Oh, and plus everything you all said,” Qri promises. “Hey! That’s cheating!” Jiyeon claims. “Yeah! This is not some generic interview question,” Hyomin echoes. “You’re supposed to say something that makes us cry just like everybody else,” Eunjung complains. “It’s a leader’s responsibility to get the last word, and you are leader after all,” Boram reminds her. “Yeah leader Kyul. Say something that’ll move us,” Soyeon eggs her on. Pretty soon, Soyeon starts the name chant because she’s always been good at that and the others follow along. Qri can’t refuse, she’s never been able to when they do that, and Soyeon sees their esteemed IDGAF leader graciously cave in to the request. “Fine, well let’s promise to always be ourselves then. I think that’s the most important. Like me for example, I know most people say I look like I don’t care about anything, but I do… sometimes,” Qri confesses and everyone starts laughing at how she added the last word. “I mean only if it’s something important to me. Like all of you. I care about all of you guys. I like buying food for everyone, and listening to Soyeon’s motor mouth, and also hearing Hyomin’s funny stories, or helping with Eunjung’s script readings. I don’t even mind taking care of Boram when she’s sick or Jiyeon when her knee injury acts up. All of you are important to me and I would risk life and limb to help any of you, so don’t be afraid to come to me. I may not look it, but I’m very dependable. And I know, I absolutely know, that I don’t say this enough, but I love all of you.” In all honesty, Soyeon did not expect much of an answer especially on such a whim and because it’s Qri, but she keeps replaying Qri’s last statement in her head because it’s so very rare to hear those words from her, and she agrees, Qri doesn’t say it enough. It’s such a moving answer that it makes Boram and Jiyeon become emotional more than the others because Qri truly does take good care of them when they’re sick – when anyone is sick. “I already want to hear you say the last part again,” Soyeon requests. “Me too,” Eunjung says. “And me,” Hyomin adds. Qri rolls her eyes with a smile gracing her lips seconds later, and Soyeon has to contain her giddiness because she knows what that means. Qri really can’t refuse sometimes, and she finds it so cute. “I-LOVE-YOU. Happy now?” Qri says for them. Soyeon feigns a heart attack at hearing Qri’s confession of love and Hyomin and Eunjung do the same, clutching their chests as if the words punch them right in the heart. Qri hits the closest person to her, which in this case is Hyomin, before they all start laughing. It takes time, but eventually they start practicing for their concert like they are supposed to. To say it’s their final concert is something Soyeon doesn’t want to admit. There’s going to be many more after this one. More concerts, more albums, and more time spent together. She believes that, she really does, because not believing it isn’t an option. And even though she’s sore and tired from hours and hours of practice, she doesn’t change her mind. Not at the rehearsals, not at the second rehearsals, and certainly not during the real concert. When she’s standing there in front of the fans that are screaming and cheering for them, she wants to smile instead of cry. Soyeon is trying hard to do that even though the others are crying, Jiyeon first of course, and even some of their fans start too. This isn’t the end. She keeps repeating that in her head as they give their closing greeting and hear “T-ara” chanted over and over again. She’s standing there and looks over to the members where Eunjung wants to do one more final greeting while Jiyeon is trying to control her tears. Boram is holding her trembling chin to stop herself from bursting into sobs and Hyomin is surprisingly managing herself well. Probably because she already cried her heart out the most beforehand. Qri looks at her and says something that Soyeon doesn’t quite catch because she sees the glassy sparkles in Qri’s eyes that threaten to become tears, and it does a number on her chest. It’s hard especially after seeing Jiyeon and Boram, but she smiles and nods. She takes one last look at their fans and at the other members and swears that she’ll never forget this moment in her life. Even after the concert finishes and after she officially departs from the group, Soyeon can’t forget that stage and she remembers their last heartfelt talk on the floor of the practice room. She replays all of their answers then and all of the promises they made. She’s not sure if she’s changed her mind now or not, but when that day comes, the day they debuted eight years ago, she thinks not. She’s still the same and the eight sunflower posts on her Instagram say so as well. Her fingers touch the sunflower keychain around her neck that she’s converted to a necklace. It’s a choice she makes every morning whether to wear it or not, and every time she puts it on, she feels like December is a little closer. In the distance, she hears T-ara’s last comeback song and freezes in her tracks. She’s lost in it and all the feelings it invokes. In her head, she sees Qri, Hyomin, and Jiyeon reduced to tears as they win number one – their first number one in five years. Soyeon clutches the freshly cut sunflower in her hand carefully while her other reaches into the sky, and she wishes there were five more there with her to catch that same blue. She’s drowning in sweet nostalgia and can’t, for the life of her, get that song out of her head as she sings it now. “My name, you don’t know my name, what’s my name?” Then she swears she hears it though it’s probably her imagination. She swears she hears her name. “…Park Soyeon…” - Author's Note - Hi everyone this is djsammy. I don't really have much to say but I suppose a closing note is needed to explain this. First of all, this is not real. I mean it could be real, but it's not like I know T-ara personally and decided to write this about them. This is a made up story just using some real references and some are fake. That would be cool if I did know T-ara personally though. Anyway, I feel like I don't really need to say that, but the last time I wrote something realistic like this, some people thought it was real and I felt really bad because they believed it truly happened. Though that's a huge compliment in itself because that means their personalities in the story are very believable. With that out of the way, this fic was actually very easy to write for some reason despite the difference in style compared to my usual writing. The other day I was sitting at my desk and writing Burned by Love and it was going great. I managed to get a good amount written, but then I guess I hit a block somewhere and had to take a minute to regroup. I went to my secret spot and was lying on the floor staring at the ceiling trying to do some in-depth character analysis. Then suddenly this fic idea came to me. I'm not sure why or how, but something must have led me to the thought that maybe Soyeon experienced a little bit of depression since her accident. I can't really explain it that well. It's just a feel I get, but heaven forbid that she did. I mean I hope she didn't and is very happy with her life. Having said that, I feel like I need to apologize to the Soyeon fans. Whether it made you cry, or you're offended that I would suggest Soyeon was in depression, or if you just think Soyeon isn't that weak of a person. My friend is a Soyeon fan and she said she had never thought of Soyeon in this way and she was heartbroken because she said, "what if Soyeon really did have depression? Maybe that's why she looks so out of it sometimes." Honestly, that would make some sense, but again this is just a fic from my imagination. Anyway, she convinced me to post this. I was just going to write it to get it out of my system, but I guess some people might be interested in it. Well thanks for reading and enjoying it if you did. Drop a comment if you liked it. Share your favorite parts or just your thoughts about it in general. Like, share, or comment if you will. P.S. - I just have a quick question for anyone who's reading this and may know the answer. Is Soyeon an only child? I get the feeling she is, but I don't really know. I get the feeling Hyomin might be too. Eunjung is a maybe. I kind of get an only child vibe from her. If she does have siblings, I feel like they would be younger. Qri I also get an only child vibe though I heard a small rumor that she may have a younger brother? I'm not so sure on that. I know Jiyeon has a brother and Boram has a sister. Anyway, I was just curious. P.P.S - Also to the people waiting for Burned by Love, I'm working really hard to write it so if you're waiting, please be just a little more patient and thank you so much for waiting. As for Some Like It Hot, I don't know when that will be updated. It's been a long while and I'm sorry to the people still waiting. I had a list of requests but I seem to have misplaced it when I switched computers. Again, sorry. I'm not sure people would want to read some of those couples anyway since the scandal resurfacing incident. If anything, I might write a SoKyul one since I've been oddly craving them lately. Others could be JiRi, SoMin, or Minyeon? Ramkyul also sounds a bit interesting since I've never seen that couple or Eunram. It's really up in the air now with Sokyul leading. I don't know if I will write one though, but I'll give it some thought.

Let us know about your thoughts so we can improve ourselves. Happy reading! LOVE SICK The T-ara queens are back from Japan tour, all tired and sleepy. Jiyeon went straight to the kitchen. Eunjung went to their room and washed up but not sleepy yet though she really feels drained already. The other girls doing the same routine after getting back from the tour. Boram went to the kitchen and prepared some food to eat, Qri putting all the things back in place with Soyeon’s help. Hwayoung talking to her twin over the phone asking how’s her dog doing, Hyomin went straight to the sofa and took a nap. Eunjung went outside her room, face still a bit wet from washing, ‘’I’m tired but I don’t feel like sleeping yet, ugh ottoke?’’ walking straight to the sofa where Hyomin is. But the truth is, she wouldn’t be able to sleep without Jiyeon saying goodnight first. It was Jiyeon’s routine to say goodnight to her unnies every night. And she went out wondering what taking Jiyeon so long. ‘’Help Boram unnie prepare some food then’’ said Soyeon. Oh right Jiyeon might be helping Boram unnie to prepare food, Eunjung thought. ‘’Isn’t Jiyeon helping her already?’’ ‘’Anni, Jiyeon went straight to her room.’’ ‘’Eh? I thought I saw her walk in the kitchen when we arrived’’, stands up and walks into Jiyeon’s room. ‘’Ne, but she went straight to her room after a minute.’’ Eunjung knocked and opened the door, poking her head inside the room ‘’Jiyeon-ah? Are you asleep already?’’. No response. Oh that kid didn’t even said goodnight to me before sleeping. Seeing Jiyeon sleeping without blanket is very unusual, she then went inside the room and put a blanket on sleeping Jiyeon. While tucking the blanket on Jiyeon’s side, she felt an increased temperature on Jiyeon’s arms. She then feel Jiyeon’s temples with her hand. ‘’Aigoo! Jiyeon-ah you’re sick! Why didn’t you tell me! Ya Jiyeon-ah, gwaenchana? Should we take you to the hospital?’’ turning her back about to call the others. ‘’Andwae unnie, I’m just feeling cold tonight, I’ll be fine with a medicine, I took one already before going to bed.’’ Jiyeon said with closed eyes. ‘’Ya Jiyeon-ah, you should’ve told us earlier. You’re making me worry.’’ Eunjung said with too much worry on her voice while sitting beside Jiyeon’s bed. ‘’How are you feeling? I’ll make you a soup.’’ ‘’I’m just a bit cold, I don’t feel like eating, I’m so tired to eat. I just want to sleep unnie.’’ She said with a low husky voice. ‘’Oh, our maknae’’ said Eunjung while tucking a strand of hair behind Jiyeon’s ear. She stood up and went outside. What the? She really left without insisting to make me eat first? Aigoo. Jiyeon thought while pouting. ‘I can’t believe how cold unnie is tonight. Leaving me even in this condition’ she thought again while turning on the side, back towards the door. The door squeaked but she didn’t bother to open her eyes because she knows that it might be Hyomin about to go to sleep. Someone sat on her bed and was shocked when she heard Eunjung’s voice again. ‘’Jiyeon-ah, can you sit up? I’ll sponge bathe you , this will help your fever go down.’’ Said Eunjung. Oh, right not that heartless. Jiyeon turned and tried to sit up. But she can’t even help herself to be in sitting position even with Eunjung’s support. ‘’Anni, just lie on your back.’’ Said Eunjung. And Eunjung started to put the towel with luke warm water on Jiyeon’s temple gently going to Jiyeon’s neck, patting it dry, under arm and hands then patting it dry. Eunjung loves Jiyeon’s hands so much because those hands used to hold hers, now this time, it’s time for her to return the favour. Jiyeon likes it, the way Eunjung holds her hand like this, like it’s the most fragile thing in the world. Because she knows, that Eunjung never held her hands like this before, it was always her who loves to play with Eunjung’s hands. I wish I can always be sick like this so Eunjung can do this every day…she thought. Eunjung held the maknae’s temple and arms again, trying to feel if jiyeon’s temperature went down. And it did, but with a little difference. Boram knocked and went inside holding a tray with a bowl of soup and water. ‘’Oh Boram unnie, gumawo, I was about to go outside and bring the soup.’’ Said Eunjung taking the tray from Boram. ‘’Anni, I thought I should help you, she really doesn’t want to call a doctor?’’ Said Boram touching Jiyeon’s temples. ‘’She doesn’t want to, but I will if her fever is still up.’’ Eunjung said. ‘’Eunjung-unnie, no need, I’ll be fine until tomorrow, I just really need to rest.’’ ‘’Arasso, but if you’re still not feeling good by tomorrow morning, we’ll call a doctor okay?’’ ‘’Ne.’’ ‘’Jiyeon-ah, your health. HWAITING!’’ Boram said with the hwaiting expression that’s really cute. ‘’Ne unnie.’’ Said Jiyeon smiling. ‘’Eunjung ah, aren’t you going to eat with us? The food is prepared.’’ ‘’Oh unnie, you guys go ahead, I’ll feed Jiyeon first, besides I don’t have an appetite.’’ ‘’Okay, if you want to eat, I’ll put the left overs in the fridge.’’ Said Boram leaving the room. ‘’Oh gumawo.’’ ‘’Jiyeon ah, can you sit up now? I’ll help you.’’ Jiyeon tried to sit up with Eunjung’s help. Jiyeon held onto Eunjung’s shoulders and Eunjung’s hands under jiyeon’s arms. But Eunjung got out of balance and she fell on top of Jiyeon, the distance of their faces now only an inch. Noses almost touching, eyes staring to each other. Jiyeon blushing not because of fever, but the weird feeling she only feels towards eunjung whenever they’re so close like this. Eunjung’s heart skips a beat while staring at the blonde girl, from her eyes, going to the nose and finally her lips. It went on for like 15 seconds. Finally Eunjung broke the awkwardness. ‘’Ya, bogoshipda.’’ and kissed Jiyeon gently on the lips. It was quick one, because Jiyeon turned her head on the side and pushed Eunjung lightly. Eunjung was a bit hurt with Jiyeon’s reaction. You can see her eyes went blank after that rejection. And Eunjung sat on Jiyeon’s bed. Jiyeon tried to sit up with her best now, now her back’s leaning on the headboard. Eunjung took the soup, and about to feed Jiyeon. ‘’Miyane jungie, I just don’t want you to get sick too. Please don’t think the other way around.’’ while looking to Eunjung’s hurt eyes. Eunjung looked up a bit cheered up now. ‘’Really? Oh I thought I already lost my baby dino.’’ ‘’Pabooo. I don’t want you to get sick, your schedule is way loaded than anyone of us. Don’t worry, if I’m feeling good already, I’ll shower you with kisses.’’ Teased Jiyeon holding Eunjung’s chin and pouting towards Eunjung’s lips and shaking her head. ‘’You better be, because you’re pissing me off lately.’’ Said Eunjung while feeding her dino. ‘’Waeyo?’’ Eyes widened with the dino pout. ‘’What’s the holding hands with Hyomin at the airport? You guys seem to be so unbreakable with that stunt.’’ Eunjung said with a raised eyebrow. ‘’Jungieee, are you jealous again with Hyomin unnie? You know that we hold hands with the other members too without malice right?’’ ‘’Really? Even not letting go of her hand even you got tons of things holding in your other hand? Wow that’s pretty awesome.’’ ‘’Jungie, do we really have to talk about this now? NOW?’’ Trying to lie down again. ‘’Ya you’re not finish eating yet.’’ ‘’Ugh, I lost my appetite. I’m going to sleep.’’ ‘’Jiyeon-ah…’’ Eunjung pleasing Jiyeon who’s now covering her face with the blanket and turned to her side, back towards eunjung. ‘’Ugh, so stubborn, ya Park Jiyeon, you can’t blame me if I’m jealous, it’s just that, lately you’re so close with Hyomin. Holding hands in the airport, Day by Day behind the scene photos, the more time you spend talking to her… I can’t help to think that you’re distancing yourself from me lately. I’m not used to it and I’ll never be Jiyeon. Now tell me, why are you doing this?’’ Jiyeon pulled down her blanket and started talking. ’’Don’t make me feel like I was the one who started this Eunjung-ah, as I remember, you started this by flirting over the phone with Jang Woo, even posting on twitter the wreath photo that he sent your mom and making people think that you two are dating. Do you know how much that hurt me? It’s like you really want to have Jang Woo as your real husband now.’’ ‘’Jiyeonnie, I did it because manager oppa asked me to, and Jang Woo didn’t send that wreath because he wanted to, Manager oppa also asked him to do that just for a little show since We Got Married’s episode last week flopped in ratings. I wasn’t able to tell you because you’re too busy with Hyomin.’’ And she leaned to Jiyeon, with her chin on shoulder and holding jiyeon’s right hand. ‘’Ya Park jiyeon’’ now with the soft pleasing childish voice. No response even with the tight squeeze on Jiyeon’s hand. She sighed. Right, maybe she’s asleep now since she took a medicine. She’s about to let go of her hand and stand up when Jiyeon held Eunjung’s hand tightly. ‘’Kkajima.’’ She sat up and hugged Eunjung tightly Eunjung can barely breathe. ‘’Why didn’t you tell me earlier? I was jealous for nothing.’’ ‘’Because I thought you didn’t care at all.’’ Eunjung now hugging the blonde tightly on her waist. Finally Jiyeon kissed Eunjung’s cheek. It wasn’t a peck, it was a long kiss on eunjung’s cheek while she’s still hugging the short haired girl tightly around the neck. The kiss on the cheek lasted for 20 seconds with the ‘’hmmmmmm’’ sound from Jiyeon. She let go and smiled to Eunjung. This time Eunjung’s cheek turned red. ‘’I’m sorry jungie. I thought you really had fallen to that stupid Jang Woo.’’ ‘’Eh? You’re making me laugh.’’ Eunjung laughed ‘’Why would I fall for him when I already have you? It’s not like my heart easily waiver or something. I’m not an idiot to leave my beautiful Jiyeon for a guy like him.’’ Eunjung winked. ‘’Just make sure, because I don’t know what to do if you leave me for someone else.’’ Jiyeon smirked. The favourite smirk of Eunjung. Eunjung leaned and kissed the smirking jiyeon on the lips. She can’t help it, it was her favourite smirk. This time she’s holding Jiyeon’s chin gently so she would be able to turn her head again. They shared a passionate kiss for 3 minutes and stopped when they heard footsteps outside the room. And Hyomin went inside the room half asleep, didn’t even recognize that Eunjung was there. And after a minute, she’s snoring already. ‘’Aigoo, that was close.’’ Eunjung smilingly whispered to Jiyeon while sneaking into Jiyeon’s bed under the cover. ‘’We really should get our own home jungie.’’ Hugging Eunjung and snucking her head to Eunjung’s shoulder. ‘’Soon babe. Soon.’’ And she kissed Jiyeon’s forehead. ‘’Goodnight beautiful.’’ And they dozed off. The next day. Eunjung’s whining over twitter about her sore throat. Ehrm.

Two men stood in a dark alley staring down on a limp lifeless male body. "The boss won't be happy, we didn't get anything out of him" spat the taller of the two men. "Let's go" said the other "We'll just tell him that --- " There was a soft 'swoosh' and the taller man felt something wet splattered on his face. The alley was in total darkness and the only sounds were the falling of rain. "Hey...what is it? Why did you go all quiet all of a sudden? It ain't funny!" he snapped. He wiped the wet substance off his face and smelled it. Blood. Just then, a flash of lightning and lying on the floor, his partner's headless body. He instinctively went for the gun at his back pocket. There was a soft 'woosh' and a great force sent his gun flying, knocking him back. There was a moment of silence in the total darkness. His heart pounded against his chest. He wanted to run but his legs just went limp with shock. Suddenly, he heard footsteps approaching from the darkness. Someone...or something...was coming towards him... He backed away from the footsteps. Mustering all the courage and energy he had, he ran. He didn't go far before he tripped and fell on something. His partner's severed head. Another flash of lightning and he saw his pursuer. His pursuer was holding a long blade, glistening with his partner's blood in the moonlight. Fear gripped the man like a deathly vice. He groped around in the dark, hoping to find something to defend himself. His desperation led him to even throwing his partners head at his pursuer, with little effect. His hands then touched something cold and hard. A pipe. He lifted it up preparing to defend himself. A soft 'swoosh' and a shrill scream from the man. His pursuer cleanly severed his hand. 'What...are...you.." The man stammered between deep breaths. His pursuer lips curled into a smirk as the sword was raised. There was a sharp scream and a dull thud. Then, the night went silent.

You’re going to be late!” Hyomin could hear her cousin shout through the door. She groggily climbed off her bed and opened the door of her room. “Aigoo, look at you. You just woke up and school’s going to start in 20 minutes.” Hyomin rubbed her eyes before looking eye to eye with her cousin Qri. “We live a block away from campus. I could walk there in less than 5 minutes.” Hyomin said back. Qri shrugged her shoulders before walking into the kitchen. Hyomin yawned and stretched on her way to the bathroom to start her daily routine. “Isn’t your friend Jiyeon moving in with us today? When is she going to be here?” Qri asked her cousin while checking the cupboards. “After I get off of school around three or four.” Hyomin replied. It had actually been only five months since Hyomin moved in with Qri. Having a love for photography, Hyomin decided to attend an art university. Since Qri lived close to the university Hyomin wanted to enroll in she thought it would be a good idea to move in with her cousin. The door of Qri’s room opened revealing a small, petite girl. “I’ll cook breakfast Qri!” She ran over to the kitchen to prep ingredients for the meal while Qri let her do what she wanted and sat at the table waiting. The small girl’s name was Boram, Qri’s roomate. Despite her looking like a cute elementary kid Boram was actually older than the two cousins. Hyomin finished with her morning routine and sat at the table to eat with the other two. “Do you have work today Qri?” Hyomin asked. Qri shook her head saying it was her day off. “They’re doing some remodeling at the club today.” Hyomin quickly placed her bowl in the sink after realizing there was only 5 minutes until school would start. She grabbed her bag and dashed out the door so she wouldn’t be late. ** “Here is your bag miss Sunny.” A maid bowed while holding the bag out for Sunny. She smiled then took the bag and walked out the door meeting her chauffer. “How are you today miss Sunny?” He said with a smile. “I’m fine thank you.” Sunny replied in a very polite manner. She hopped in the car then answered her ringing phone. It was her best friend Taeyeon. The girl was already at the school waiting for Sunny. “Alright Taeyeon I’ll be there in a few.” Sunny put her phone away and read the newspaper. “MS Entertainment has done it again. Their new girl group has already won several awards for their debut song which is an amazing feature for any rookie singer group. If it’s talent you’re looking for then MSE is the company to search .” Sunny finished reading the article then tossed the paper aside. The news didn’t surprise her, after all it was her who scouted the members of that group. “Miss Sunny you have a lunch date with your father this evening.” Sunny nodded understanding then stared out the window of the car. Her father was Lee Man Soo, CEO of MS Entertainment. The one and only MS Entertainment known for managing some of Korea’s most successful entertainers. Sunny often helped with her father’s company, she had an ear for talent. The car stopped at the front entrance of the university and her chauffer opened the door. Sunny stepped out and saw her best friend, Taeyeon, by the front steps. She joined her friend and the two were on their way to class. “You’re later than usual today, something happen?” Taeyeon asked. “I was watching auditions all last night.” Sunny explained. “You always do what your dad tells you to do.” Taeyeon was calling her a daddy’s girl. Sunny pushed it aside. “It’s the only way to not have him nag at me.” She defended herself. They eventually made it to the classroom, making a late entrance. The teacher dismissed them and they took their seats at the back of the room. ** Hyomin stretched in her chair and rubbed her thighs feeling the soreness from running in the morning. It was lunch time and her stomach was growling loudly. Just when she thought she couldn’t take it anymore, two girls came to sit at her table. “What took you so long Eunjung!” Hyomin quickly grabbed the food Eunjung had bought for her. “The line was long.” Eunjung simply said taking her seat. Hyomin had met Eunjung on the first day of school and they became good friends ever since. She was majoring in dance and is quite popular with the boys and girls. The other girl placed her tray on the table and sat in a seat. “Actually Eunjung couldn’t decide on what to eat.” She said. It was Gyuri, Eunjung’s friend from high school. She was majoring in modeling and is well known around campus as Goddess Gyuri for her stunning good looks. The phone in Hyomin’s pocket beeped with a new text message. It was Jiyeon asking for directions to the apartment. She sent the directions through text then went back to eating. “Hey are you guys busy?” She asked her two friends. They both shook their heads. “Can you help me after school? My friend is moving in with me and she has a lot of luggage.” Both agreed to help later in the evening since they had nothing better to do. The school day quickly went by and ended. Hyomin led her friends to her apartment and showed them around. Qri appeared from her room seeing the new faces. “This is my cousin Qri.” Hyomin was introducing her friends to Qri. “These are my friends from school, Eunjung and Gyuri.” They both greeted and bowed to the older girl. Qri scanned Gyuri up and down. “You’re really pretty.” She said before moving on to Eunjung. “You’re good looking too.” Hyomin quickly moved between her friends and her cousin. “I know what you’re thinking Qri and I’m telling you no.” She said. On the outside Qri looked like an innocent and pure girl but she was actually the complete opposite of that image. She was a real player and liked to pick up women in the club she worked at. Often times she wouldn’t arrive home until late the next morning. Qri got the message that Hyomin didn’t want her messing with the two girls then left to watch TV in the living room. “She’s really pretty. Her name is cute too.” Eunjung said to Hyomin. “She’s ok, above average.” Gyuri gave her opinion. “Anyway I think Jiyeon is here, she just texted me saying she’s outside.” Hyomin said as she went to the door to leave and fetch her friend. When she came back with Jiyeon, Hyomin introduced her to everyone. “Hello I’m Park Jiyeon. It’s nice to meet you all.” Jiyeon said politely. Eunjung and Gyuri introduced themselves to Jiyeon with a smile. Qri was looking Jiyeon up and down. “She’s cute and definitely has a nice body.” She complimented Jiyeon while circling the girl. Hyomin stepped in again and shielded Jiyeon from her cousin. “She’s a minor so don’t get any ideas.” “Really? You’re in high school?” Qri asked surprised. Jiyeon nodded. “I’m a senior this year.” She told Qri. The older girl crossed her arms and sighed. “Well that’s too bad.” She pinched Jiyeon’s cheek. After introductions were over the girls helped move Jiyeon’s things into the apartment. Gyuri huffed as she carried a box. “This is heavy! What the heck is in here?” She nearly dropped the box on the floor as she set it down. “Ah, be careful with that!” Jiyeon shouted while quickly opening the box and checking the contents inside. Gyuri peeked over the young girl’s shoulder to see what lie inside the box. “Stuffed animals?” Jiyeon held a stuffed teddy in her hands. “These are very important to me.” She told Gyuri while hugging the teddy. Thinking that the scene looked so cute, Gyuri couldn’t help but smile. They both carried the box to Hyomin’s room where Jiyeon would be rooming. Everything was finally put in place as the girls all felt tired. Eunjung and Gyuri took their leave as they wanted to rest at their homes. Jiyeon was looking through Hyomin’s art university booklet amazed at the beautiful architecture. Hyomin noticed and asked if Jiyeon wanted to tour around the university. Jiyeon’s eyes lit up and she nodded. Qri wanted to join but stayed behind since Boram would be home soon and the latter had forgot her keys. Jiyeon quickly put on her shoes and followed Hyomin to campus. ** Sunny walked into the very expensive restaurant looking for her father. A waiter arrived and escorted her to a table where her father sat. “Are you keeping up your studies?” He asked Sunny. She nodded and took a bite of her food. He smiled then gave Sunny papers with all the audition participants info. Sunny took the two inch thick paper compilation and set them on the side of the table. Her father wanted her to watch auditions again later that night. “Actually I,” Sunny wanted to say no, she had a shopping date with Taeyeon later. But she didn’t want to disappoint her dad. He looked at her. “You don’t want to?” He asked her. Sunny shook her head. “I’ll be there.” She assured her father. “Good. Make sure to be there no later than 7pm.” Sunny nooded then went back to eating her food. When she was done with her lunch date and bade her father goodbye, Sunny went back to campus where Taeyeon still had class. She found her friend and told her she would have to cancel on the shopping date. “What! Again Sunny.” Taeyeon complained. It wasn’t the first time Sunny had to cancel. “Sorry Taeyeon, this is the last time. We can go shopping tomorrow ok?” Taeyeon was dubbing Sunny a daddy’s girl before making her friend promise to go shopping tomorrow. Sunny said goodbye to her friend then checked her watch, it was 6pm. She had an hour to get to the company and prepare for the auditions. She sighed while walking out to the parking lot thinking it was going to be a long night. -
“OUCH!” Tears formed at the corner of her eyes as she looked down at her throbbing toe and glared at the corner of the suitcase that had victimised her poor foot. Sighing, she picked up her favourite sweater that was deviously camouflaging that evil suitcase and added it to a growing pile of clothes on her bed. Trying to ignore the dull pain in her toe, she picked up her cup of coffee off her study desk and walked out to the tiny balcony of her studio apartment. A gust of cold evening air greeted her as she slid her balcony door open and she took a deep breath of the smell of Seoul. Hyomin brushed a strand of hair that had come loose from her bun, taking a sip of her coffee and gazed upon the setting sun. It was her first night alone in the big city. Her parents had just left to head back to Busan after dropping her off at her new home. She missed her mum after recalling her antics this afternoon when they visited Sungkyunkwan University. ————— Flashback ————— “Wow Sunyoung-ah! This university is HUGE! How are you going to find your classes?” “Yah! Omma, that’s why God was kind enough to give us two legs you know.” Hyomin smiled as she watched her mother with amusement. Her mum had the expression of a child who just walked into the biggest candy factory of her life. Her dad chuckled watching his wife do an imitation of a goldfish. He turned to Hyomin, “Sunyoung, don’t mind your mum. She’s just never seen such a huge campus before.” Bringing it down to a whisper, her dad said with a smile, “Be careful, she might just want to stay her with you because you’re attending her dream university.” Hyomin turned to her dad and giggled. “I know Appa. I’m glad that you and Omma have been supportive of me even though I know you both wanted me to attend law school.” Her dad smiled as he recalled his discussion with his only daughter just a few months ago. He was brimming with pride as he collected the morning mail that had been filled with offer letters from universities she had applied to after receiving her results for her CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) examinations. The postman had even congratulated Mr. Park on his daughter’s achievement which made him puff his chest out. That same evening, as the family of three sat down to discuss her choices, Hyomin had suddenly looked at her parents with tears in her eyes and told them she had already accepted an offer from Sungkyunkwan University to pursue arts. Her parents carried stunned expressions as Hyomin broke down in front of them, knowing she had crushed their dreams of seeing their only daughter succeeding as a lawyer. It was her dad who first snapped out of his reverie to stand up and hug his shaking daughter. “We will always be proud of you and your choices, no matter what Sunyoung.” ————— Hyomin leaned against the balcony railing, gulping the last of her coffee before turning back to her studio. As she finished drying the last plate from the early dinner with her parents, she remembered that she needed to get more instant coffee as her ditziness lead her to forget her bag of groceries she had left in her father’s backseat. “I even packed three packs of it too.” Grumbling to herself as she changed out of her shorts into a comfy pair of sweatpants. Mentally smacking herself for her forgetfulness, she grabbed her wallet and pulled on her favourite zip up. Deciding that she needed a breather anyway after a heavy dinner, Hyomin locked her studio door behind her and strapped on her earphones as she made her way to the mini supermarket down the street. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Author’s Note: I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the first chapter of Crossroads. Jiyeon locked the door before slowly walking to her bedroom, which was shared with Hyomin. Opening the door quietly, Jiyeon poked her head inside to check if Hyomin was sleeping. Jiyeon noticed the lump in her bed, which made Jiyeon figure that Hyomin was sleeping. Entering the room, Jiyeon placed her bag on the ground besides her bed until she heard a sniffle. Turning her head, Jiyeon looked at Hyomin's body before noticing that the girl was crying. Jiyeon walked over and sat on the side of Hyomin's bed, "Hyomin-ah, gwaenchanh-a?? Hyomin kept silent as she continued to sniffle. Jiyeon gently shook Hyomin's body, "Come on, you can tell me. What's wrong?" No response came from Hyomin other than the sniffs. Jiyeon sighed, "Okay.. but if you want to talk, you can talk to me." As Jiyeon got up, Hyomin quickly grabbed her wrist. Jiyeon looked down, "Now you want to talk to me?" Hyomin looked up at Jiyeon as Jiyeon frowned, seeing the tear stains, "What's wrong?" she asked again. Hyomin sniffed, "Sunny broke up with me.." she stated before letting out a small sob. Jiyeon sat back down on the bed and hugged the crying girl. Hyomin buried her face into Jiyeon's shoulder as she cried. The younger girl rubbed Hyomin's back as comfort. Hyomin's arms wrapped around Jiyeon's neck to return the hug, their bodies closer than they've ever been. Hyomin leaned out and looked at Jiyeon. Jiyeon looked back into Hyomin's eyes before she noticed where Hyomin's eyes were looking at. Hyomin glanced down at Jiyeon's lips before back up at her eyes. Jiyeon looked at Hyomin and noticed the lust and sadness in her eyes. Jiyeon bit her lip, "For tonight. One night. No strings attached. I'm only doing this because I care for you, okay?" Hyomin nodded before leaning in and capturing Jiyeon's lips. It continued like that for almost a month. Their members thought that they were in a relationship, but both Jiyeon and Hyomin knew it was no relationship. It was a way to vent out anger, stress, and sadness that's been built into them. One night, Jiyeon came home after finishing the last episode of her drama. Exhausted and tired, she entered her bedroom and put her bag down before changing into her pajama's, too tired to take a shower. Like usual, Jiyeon entered Hyomin's bed and hugged the girl around the waist. What surprised Jiyeon was that Hyomin unwrapped her arms from her waist. Jiyeon frowned, "What?" Hyomin turned around, "I think we should stop this." Jiyeon's eyebrows furrowed, "What..?" she asked again. "Sunny asked me out again." That's when Jiyeon understood. Jiyeon's heart couldn't help but clench. She smiled a forced smile and nodded, "Oh.. Alright.." she responded before getting out of Hyomin's bed and entering her own. Jiyeon hadn't slept in her own bed for a while, and it felt unusual to her. Jiyeon was used to having a certain girl's body pressed against her own as she hugged her waist. Jiyeon was used to the girl's scent and the even breathing she gave when she was sleeping. She missed it. Jiyeon knew it was supposed to be no strings attached, but it's hard not to gain feelings for Hyomin. Especially since she had feelings for Hyomin before it all started. "Where is Jiyeon?" their manager asked as he walked into the dorm, entering the kitchen. Soyeon looked at Boram, who looked at Hyomin. Hyomin shrugged, "In our room I think." The manager walked away as he went to Jiyeon's room before knocking. "What?" the husky voice came out. "I need to talk to you." the manager replied. Jiyeon huffed and got out of her bed before opening the door. The manager frowned, "I've had complaints from the drama director." "What kind of complaints?" Jiyeon asked as she leaned on the door frame, not really showing that she cared at all. "That your eyes are too red and too puffy. Are you alright? Have you been crying at all lately?" The manager answered before showing a concerned look. Jiyeon rolled her eyes, "I'm just sick." The manager widened his eyes, "Really? Do you need to go to the doctors? Come on, let's go now." he said before grabbing Jiyeon's wrist. Jiyeon pulled away, "I'm fine, and besides, I've been taking medicine anyway" The members in the kitchen all looked at each other with confused faces. Boram looked at Hyomin, "Has she been crying?" Hyomin shrugged, "I don't know." "What do you mean you don't know? Aren't you guys dating?" Soyeon entered the conversation. "We aren't dating." Hyomin denied. "Then what's up with the kisses and the touches?" Eunjung asked as she walked into the kitchen. Hyomin huffed, "Look, we aren't dating." Jiyeon entered the kitchen after being questioned by the manager. Jiyeon angrily grabbed a bottle of water before walking out. Before she could exit the kitchen, Soyeon caught her arm, "Jiyeon." Jiyeon turned, "Yes?" she answered. Soyeon gasped at how red Jiyeon's eyes were. Jiyeon frowned, "You aren't going to question me like he did, right?" "Jiyeon-ah... what happened? Are you okay?" Soyeon asked as she stared into Jiyeon's eyes. Jiyeon looked around and noticed that all 6 members were in the room, including the source of her pain, Hyomin. Jiyeon nodded, "I'm fine." she smiled. "You can talk to us, you know that, right, Jiyeon?" Eunjung said softly as she walked closer. Jiyeon nodded, "I know that. It's just some family problems that I'm dealing with." "Is it your father? Is he sick again?" Boram asked worrily. Finding that a good excuse, Jiyeon nodded, "Yea.. he's sick again." Soyeon patted Jiyeon's back, "Oh.. it's alright Jiyeon-ah, he's got a good daughter to help him recover." Jiyeon smiled and nodded, "I'm going to go to sleep not. You girls should go to sleep too, it's getting late." Entering her bedroom, Jiyeon threw her body on the bed with a sigh. Rubbing her hands over her face, Jiyeon felt guilty for lying to her members, who seemed genuinly concerned for her. Jiyeon heared the bedroom door open and close before she felt her bed dip. Hyomin was sitting on the edge of her bed, "I know you're lying." Jiyeon looked over before sitting up, leaning her back against the headboard, "What are you talking about?" "Stop lying and just tell me the truth. You were crying because of something else, weren't you?" Jiyeon nodded, "Yea. I was." she admitted. "Why?" Hyomin asked. "Personal problems." Jiyeon replied shortly. "Want to talk about it?" "No. Not really." "You know Jiyeon, you can--" Hyomin was cut off when Jiyeon got off the bed and grabbed her jacket. "I'm going out. I don't like being questioned." As Jiyeon's hand reached for the door knob, Hyomin spoke again, "Don't go. It's late out, you might get hurt." Without looking back, Jiyeon opened the door before proceeding out the dorm, ignoring the calls from her members. "Stop this, Jiyeon" her manager spoke in a stern tone. "Stop what?" Jiyeon replied in a monotone. All the members could hear the conversation between Jiyeon and their manager, Hyomin especially. "Jiyeon, do you know how many rumours I've had to cover because of you going out late and messing around?" "How many?" Jiyeon asked as she grabbed a water bottle. "Park Jiyeon." the manager said, getting angrier by the second. Jiyeon looked up and connected eyes with her manager, "Yes?" she replied. "Does doing this make you happy? Does messing around with people make you happy? Playing around with them and then tossing them to the side? Huh?" he asked. In the middle of this, Hyomin's phone vibrated. She exited the dorm before taking the call. Jiyeon stayed quiet. Just as the manager was about to speak, Jiyeon spoke in a low tone, "I'm not happy." Before the manager could speak, Jiyeon spoke again, "I would appreciate if you and all of my members would stop trying to get answers from me." That was the last thing she said before walking out of the dorm. Jiyeon stopped walking when she heard crying. "Wae?" the person asked. It was a familiar voice of the girl Jiyeon fell in love with. Jiyeon walked to the sound of the voice and noticed Hyomin leaning on the railing of the stair way that connected their dorm to their company building. Jiyeon noticed that Hyomin was sobbing. Hyomin hung the phone up and threw it on the ground behind her. Jiyeon debated whether or not to go over their and talk to Hyomin. Jiyeon's weak spot was seeing a girl cry. Especially if that girl is Park Hyomin. Jiyeon walked over and picked up the phone before leaning against the railing besides Hyomin, handing her the phone, "You dropped this?" Hyomin raised her head that was lowered and looked up at Jiyeon before taking the phone, "Thanks.." she mumbled. After a moment of silence, Jiyeon cleared her throat, "Want to talk about it?" "Sunny broke up with me." Hyomin answered. "Again?" Hyomin glared at Jiyeon. Jiyeon raised her hands in surrender, "Sorry." Hyomin sighed and looked away. "She told me she only dated me to make Sooyoung jealous." And that's when Jiyeon lost all respect for Sunny. "Hyomin-ah.." Jiyeon called softly. Hyomin looked over, "Hmm?" "Remember how we said no strings attached?" Hyomin nodded slowly. Jiyeon bit her lip, "I.. There's strings attached." Hyomin cocked her head, "Huh?" "I've had feelings for you before that whole thing started.." Jiyeon confessed as she looked away from Hyomin. Hyomin stood there in shock for a minute before looking at Jiyeon, "You've been hiding it this whole.." she trailed off as Jiyeon nodded, "Yea. I have.." Hyomin hugged Jiyeon. Jiyeon was surprised, but returned the hug, wrapping her arms around Hyomin's waist as their bodies leaned on each other. Jiyeon turned their bodies so that Hyomin's body was resting against the railing. Jiyeon moved her arms from Hyomin's waist to the railing on both sides of Hyomin. Jiyeon leaned in and kissed Hyomin, who returned the kiss just as passionately. The girls leaned out of the kiss before resting their foreheads together. "Jiyeon-ah." Hyomin called. "Yes?" Jiyeon replied. "This time.. I think we can allow strings to be attached." This is my first time posting a FanFic on Diadem. >.< I've posted lots of fan fics before, but I am new to the site, please tell me if I did anything wrong Hope you enjoyed my one shot, I might continue adding a bunch of MinYeon one shots to this post

All I Do Is Dream Of You (Part 1) The sun filtered through the leaves of the tree she was currently perched under, the heat spreading across the back of her neck. HyoMin snorted in displeasure, her hand stilling at the sudden intrusion of the sun’s rays, the tip of her brush just a breath away from her canvas. She turned her attention away from her work and glared up towards the sky, her eyes squinting in the face of direct sunlight. “Screw you and your health talks, Boram.” HyoMin murmured under her breath in annoyance, her brush placed back gently against the makeshift table she had in front of her. She paid no mind to the passer-bys openly gawking at her, concentrating on rummaging through her bag for her sunglasses. Item found, she returned her attention back to the canvas, her mouth pursed in dissatisfaction at the scenery that was currently forming on the white background. She continued to grumble under her breath, her hands once again busy with the art. “Why do I have to sit out here?” Her brush dipped into the cup of water, the colour spreading through the semi-murky liquid before being placed onto the palette on her lap. The hairs soaked up the yellow she was going for and she stroked upwards carefully, her eyes carefully scanning the surroundings as she transmitted reality onto cloth. “I could’ve sat in a room and painted the scenery.” HyoMin’s quiet complaints persisted even as the white canvas in front of her slowly gained a variety of colours, an almost photographic mirror image of her surroundings on a demure medium. The artwork was slowly attracting attention of the people around her, strangers stopping to whisper and praise behind her back. HyoMin paid no mind to the unwanted distractions, purely focused on finishing the work in front of her. Until a sharp pain blossomed from the back of her head towards the front, her neck snapping forwards as she cried out softly. “What the-” “Oh my god, I’m so sorry!” Already irritated from the heat and the fact that her manager decided that she was a shut in and needed to take in inspiration from the outside world, HyoMin turned around sharply, cutting words at the tip of her tongue. Those same words died midway to formation when she saw the person apologising, the woman bowing profusely as she gripped two boys’ hands. HyoMin watched dumbly as the woman straightened her back and crouched down to the boys’ level, her deep brown eyes narrowing at the sufficiently chastised youngsters. Her hair was tumbling from the loose ponytail she had it in, framing a classically beautiful face, her lips stretched out in a taut line and emphasizing the pinkness of it. HyoMin had an urge to reach out and touch this perfection that could only really exist in paintings. “Apologise, Mason, Mavin!” The other woman shot HyoMin an apologetic glance before glaring at the children again, shaking their arms slightly. The older boy pouted up at the lady and whined. “I didn’t throw the ball, Mavin did!” Mason pointed at the younger boy, Mavin merely smiling serenely at HyoMin. “Mason!” By this point, HyoMin could not care any less if they would ever apologise. She just wanted their mother to continue talking, her ears suddenly registering the woman’s voice as heavenly. The brunette holding the boys’ hands continued to glare at the children until Mason and Mavin both dropped their heads, a perfect image of regret. “Apologise. Now.” The two boys murmured their apologies and peered up at the female holding their hands, eyes wide and imploring. She sighed and released her grip, Mavin darting forward to grab the ball before running off with his brother. Shaking her head, the woman returned her line of sight towards HyoMin, bypassing the brunette and towards the painting. “I’m glad they did not ruin your painting.” Taking a careless glance back at the painting that seemed so insignificant now, HyoMin smiled and shook her head. “It’s fine. They were really cute anyways.” The other brunette laughed quietly and HyoMin felt herself swoon. (Definitely smitten.) “Cute devils maybe.” HyoMin chuckled along with the stranger. “How old are your sons?” This time, the brunette’s quiet laugh turned into a boisterous one, her eyes curving into a delightful smile that matched the delight in her voice. (Completely smitten.) “They aren’t my sons.” “What?” HyoMin stared at her confusedly. The brunette shook her head and chuckled. “I’m their nanny. I look after them when their parents are at work.” HyoMin blushed and opened her mouth to reply when the younger boy came barrelling back, face scrunched in anger and a finger pointing accusingly at Mason who was standing at the playground. “JiYeon-ie, Mason is bullying me!” The nanny, JiYeon scooped Mavin up quickly and bowed towards HyoMin again. “Ah, I’ve got to go. Sorry again!” HyoMin raised her hand weakly and continued to stare as JiYeon jogged back towards the play area, her face already pulled up in mock fury at Mason, the boy’s eyes closing as he clasped his hands over his ears. Her eyes traced the profile of JiYeon’s face, the way her jawline sloped to her neck and how curly brown hair flowed like a halo as the crude ponytail finally gave way. Gasps were heard when HyoMin reached back and pulled the canvas away from the stand roughly, the previous work tossed aside like yesterday’s rubbish. Bless Boram and her health talks. * Going to the park was now a routine. After fending off Boram’s smug filled lectures, HyoMin now allowed herself to suffer under the sun and heat just for an hour of JiYeon’s gorgeous face every day. It seemed that stopping at the park was a daily occurrence in the children’s lives and HyoMin thanked Mason and Mavin silently as it allowed her to see JiYeon. After the initial meeting, HyoMin had not spoken to JiYeon at all, the nanny having forgot about the incident. Unlike HyoMin, who spent every waking moment daydreaming about the meeting and envisioning how it could’ve gone and maybe it would’ve ended with them exchanging some form of contact. (Now, HyoMin has to made do with doodles on scraps of paper and borderline stalker behaviour.) She shifted in her seat slightly and peered over her canvas, her mouth pulled up into a smile when JiYeon darted towards Mason, her face alight with joy as she tickled the boy. Behind her, Mavin was grabbing onto her leg (a version of cops and robbers maybe?) and laughing loudly, JiYeon abandoning her tickle torture on Mason and rubbing Mavin’s head gently. HyoMin lowered her gaze back to the canvas and picked up the sketching utensil, her fingers drawing out the grid that would serve as the stencil of her painting. Making quick work, she teased out the image of a female with two young boys, surrounded by vague figures also playing around them. (This borderline stalker behaviour that HyoMin has was recently gained from the last few failed attempts to go and talk to JiYeon, which proved to be quite a challenge especially for someone as socially awkward as HyoMin.) She leant back against the tree she was currently under and observed the trio again, the smile on her face only growing wider when JiYeon pretended to fall to the ground, face twisted in mock pain as Mavin and Mason jumped on her. It was clear to HyoMin that the children genuinely loved the nanny and that translated into JiYeon having a good personality in HyoMin's mind. Nodding to herself, she picked up her brush and dipped it into the cup, carefully wetting it before letting it absorb the paint on her palette. She started to paint, occasionally glancing up to watch JiYeon play with her charges. (Probably a lot creepy and possibly not the best way to foster good relationships if JiYeon ever found out but nobody said that love was logical. Or rather, nobody ever told HyoMin that love was logical.) * "Are you a paedophile?!" The shrill whisper shout as JiYeon gripped her wrist and the panicked, protective look that decorated that beautiful face was probably an outcome that HyoMin should've expected. HyoMin should also be protesting fervently at the moment with some proof that she was not interested in children, as the both of them, though partially hidden from the public's view by the tree that HyoMin chose to perch under, we're going to attract some attention, especially with Mason and Mavin both staring up at the two adults confusedly. Unfortunately for HyoMin, the moment JiYeon grabbed her wrist and crowded into her personal space with righteous indignation, her brain decided to sputter, die and focus only on how JiYeon's lips were moving and how gorgeous JiYeon's eyes were up close. "Do I need to report you?!" JiYeon shook her arm roughly, her body coming even closer. HyoMin could feel her face heating up and finally (finally!) her brain caught up and she stuttered in protest, her head shaking wildly. "No need! I'm not one!" The hold on her wrist loosened just a fraction before gripping back with the same force as JiYeon's other hand curled into a fist, the nanny in obvious disbelief as she threw a look at the fallen canvas. The artwork of the day featured a pair of swings, JiYeon standing behind both of them as she attempted to push both Mavin and Mason at the same time. Her eyes narrowed further and she leant forward, HyoMin's eyes darting towards those pink lips (priorities!). "You've been here all the time and always when we're around. And you paint those paintings!" "No! It's just a misunderstanding!" "Mason and Mavin are both in the painting! And I'm pretty sure that they are in all your paintings!" "You're in the paintings too!" "What?" JiYeon's fury was stifled abruptly as she took a step back, the wrath on her face giving way to confusion. Mavin stumbled forward and grabbed his guardian's leg, his face peering around to watch the two women argue. To the side, Mason stood with his feet apart and his hands on his waist, his chin turned up in slight anger, as though ready to charge forward to protect his nanny. HyoMin's mouth clicked shut and her eyes widened. (Damn it, brain mouth filter!) "What did you just say?" JiYeon was already walking backwards, her hand leaving its position on HyoMin's wrist, fingers lingering before dropping away. Swallowing audibly, HyoMin wrung her fingers together, her eyes directed towards the ground. (Ah, screw it.) "You're in them. All of them. You're the main subject, actually." The park was usually a place where quiet was rare but today, HyoMin understood what exactly was a sudden halt in noise. The birds were chirping and she could hear the children's laughter in the background as well as the white noise that was adults chattering. However, HyoMin heard none of those as she continued to stare at the ground. She raised her head when JiYeon spoke. "Me? Why?" HyoMin swallowed again and tried to meet JiYeon's eyes as she tried to explain. "Because I wanted to capture your perfection onto my canvas. You're like a living piece of art and I wanted to immortalised that. And everyday, when I'm sitting here, I found that you shine the most when you're with those two boys. And in turn, their happiness in playing with you made your radiance even more beautiful." HyoMin was not very good with words. More often than not, she would say the wrong thing in response to a situation or worse, not be able to say anything at all. She has always been more comfortable using drawings to explain things and make people laugh, leading up to the discovery of her artistic abilities by professionals. But, right here, right now, in front of the woman who has her so smitten from the moment she smiled at HyoMin, the painter tried her best to convey what she meant by her paintings through words. It was important that JiYeon understood this and even though, HyoMin felt like digging a hole and hiding, she stood her ground and pleaded with JiYeon with her clumsy words and imploring eyes. The nanny seemed stunned, one hand resting absently on Mavin's head and the other gesturing for Mason to come to her. Blinking rapidly, JiYeon shook her head and spoke softly. "But I'm just me." Hesitantly, HyoMin reached down and picked up the abandoned painting, her fingers caressing the image on the canvas. "And it's beautiful." She stretched her arm out, giving the painting to JiYeon who took it with wide eyes. "You're beautiful." Smiling, HyoMin pushed away from the tree and started to collect her things, her ears burning with embarrassment under her hair. As she walked away, her smile widened when JiYeon shouted after her. "Come and play with us tomorrow, Miss Painter!" Her smile now a full blown grin, HyoMin turned around and waved. "Okay! And it's HyoMin!" * "I thought I told you to go out and breathe some fresh air from things that photosynthesise, not go out and become a stalker." Boram stared at her with dead eyes, words delivered in a deadpan tone. In her arms are HyoMin's latest works, all about to be packaged and sent to the galley for the curator's inspection. However, due to Boram's meticulous nature and insisting on vetting the paintings beforehand, her manager discovered that almost half the paintings consisted of a brunette smiling and playing in the park, sometimes with two young boys, though their faces were obscured. High from the past few days of actually interacting with JiYeon and rough housing with Mason and Mavin, HyoMin grinned at her manager carelessly. "Isn't she so gorgeous though?" Boram sighed and started to wrap the paintings, inwardly noting that these were HyoMin's better pieces (the painter always did do a better job if the subject interested her), her mouth pursed in concentration. "Do I need to worry about a restraining order coming your way?" "No! We're friends! .... Kind of?" "That's not instilling any confidence in me, HyoMin-ie." HyoMin waved her arms around. "We're friends! I even played with the two boys!" Boram snorted and taped the package carefully, her nimble fingers pressing the material together neatly. She eyed her work and then nodded, satisfied with the end result. Turning her attention towards her friend, Boram raised her eyebrow at HyoMin. Observing intently, she clicked her tongue when she reached an obvious conclusion. (What was it that people said about love?) "You like her." HyoMin snorted. "Well, no, I just like painting people whom I despise because-" "I meant you like her." Boram purposely stressed the important note of the sentence and watched in amusement as HyoMin turn from pale pink to scarlet. Her friend stammered and mumbled before nodding in defeat. Boram stifled a laugh. "Don't laugh at me! She's really pretty! And nice! And children like her! Children can tell if people are nice!" This time, Boram did laugh, HyoMin whining loudly at the obvious teasing. Shaking her head, Boram patted the younger woman's head and teased gently. "There there. You don't have to justify your crush to me." Ignoring the brunette who was whining yet again, Boram picked up the paintings carefully and made her way to the door, shouting her goodbyes over her shoulder. However, she couldn't help but tease HyoMin again. "Maybe next time, you will have enough confidence to invite her to a gallery opening!" "Boram!" * "Wow, you're really talented." HyoMin blushed instinctively as she turned to her right, JiYeon's face just inches away from hers. Blinking rapidly, she cleared her throat and shook her head, JiYeon staring at her in amusement. "I'm not- I mean- it's just a normal painting." JiYeon scoffed and leant in further, HyoMin's breath hitching as the nanny's brushed against her own. "Lies. Your pieces are showing at the gallery downtown, aren't they?" "H-how did you-" "An amazing invention called the Internet." Giggling nervously, she pushed JiYeon's face away and peered around, desperately looking for a distraction that would let JiYeon distance her body away. Since the paedophile incident (she really wasn't lying to Boram when she said they were friends), they have been spending the hour at the park together, HyoMin playing alongside JiYeon's charges while learning more about the nanny. One of the few things she learnt was that JiYeon was an extremely tactile person, preferring to use actions rather than words to demonstrate her meanings and feelings. (She also had the most adorable way of showing her displeasure, somehow reminding HyoMin of a particularly bratty dinosaur when she stomped her foot and wriggled her fingers.) While appreciated, JiYeon's habit was proving to be terrible for HyoMin's heart and it also somehow manage to reduce the older woman into a garbling mess, which seemed to spur the nanny on further. On her good days, meaning when HyoMin can actually hold a conversation like a proper adult, they would have the most in depth of conversations. HyoMin was amazed to find someone so in tuned with her own thoughts and it was hilarious when JiYeon matched her deadpan humour word for word. (HyoMin was falling hard and it's terrifying and wonderful at the same time.) Her eyes spotted Mason and Mavin by the edge of the playground, mouth dropping when Mason tugged on Mavin's hoodie, causing the younger boy to fall backwards. JiYeon noticed her reaction and followed her line of sight, yelling out when she realised what happened. "Yah! Mason!" Dashing over, HyoMin sighed in relief as JiYeon picked Mavin up, the child not crying as HyoMin thought he would have. Mason had already scuttled away, the older boy hiding behind a metal beam as he stuck his tongue out at JiYeon. Grinning as JiYeon pointed at Mason threateningly, HyoMin rested her head on the palm of her hand, her smile greeting JiYeon as she made her way back with Mavin in her arms. JiYeon shook her head exasperatedly. "Seriously, that boy." HyoMin glanced over to the playground and saw that Mason had already come out from his hiding place and was already playing with the rest of the kids around him. "Honestly, sometimes I want to-" The nanny made a biting gesture and sat down beside HyoMin, Mavin smiling up serenely at his caregiver. HyoMin laughed softly. "Do you like Mavin more than Mason then?" She was curious as she was an only child so she didn't really experience the bias thing that her friends seemed to be so plagued with. And with JiYeon, she could see that the brunette was a little bit more protective over Mavin. Maybe it was why Mason picked on his younger brother so much. (She understood what it's like to want all of JiYeon's attention.) JiYeon shook her head. "It's not like that. I love the both of them but ..." She trailed off, her teeth worrying her bottom lip as she thought hard. HyoMin waited patiently and was awarded with an answer. "Mason.. He's the apple of his parents' eye? Something like that. He's a smart kid and he excels in things he puts his mind to. And Mavin... He tries his best but the things he do, most of the time, his older brother has already done it and it doesn't really capture his parents' attention." HyoMin nodded along to the explanation. "Mason acts kind of spoilt at times and he gets away with a lot of things. So sometimes, I feel like I should shower Mavin with more attention because he's not getting much more from his parents." "He's being overshadowed by a brilliant brother?" JiYeon nodded. "Mason gets away with things Mavin wouldn't. And Mavin is really laid back and doesn't say much about it and Mason takes advantage sometimes." "Ahh, so you try to balance out whatever it is that's not balanced?" "Something like that. I was hoping it would teach Mason not to be so spoilt because I don't let him get away with things like what he did just now but the kid's too stubborn." JiYeon sighed and hugged Mavin tightly, the boy smiling and pressing his lips to the nanny's cheek. HyoMin gritted her teeth and forced the sudden well of jealousy down. (He's four years old, HyoMin.) "Plus Mavin is super sweet." JiYeon giggled and released the boy when he started wriggling, watching Mavin join the other children on the playground with a fond smile. "You really love children, don't you?" Startled, JiYeon pulled her gaze away from the children and blushed lightly, HyoMin's hand itching to paint that picture of bashful perfection. "Yeah. Innocent kids untainted by the world are the best form of humans there are. It's a lot nicer than dealing with adults all day." JiYeon's mouth closed with a click and she shot a look at HyoMin as the painter raised her eyebrow in response. "I didn't mean you, of course! I mean, you were kind of creepy at the start but now, you're kind of amazing and you're really kind and nice and I'm going to stop talking now." JiYeon covered her face with her hands, the redness of her face barely seen through the gaps of her fingers. Suddenly feeling extremely elated, HyoMin reached out and tugged at the younger woman's right hand, intertwining their fingers as she spoke happily. "I'm glad. Because I think you're kind of amazing too." If HyoMin didn't spend all of her time staring and observing JiYeon, she would've missed the way the blush deepened. But she had all of JiYeon's quirks memorised and her smile brightened considerably as she squeezed the nanny's hand lightly. * "I think this is the first time we've met outside the park." HyoMin turned towards the voice, JiYeon greeting her with a bright smile and a touch on her shoulder. Responding with an equally cheery grin, she nodded towards the chair opposite her, the younger woman taking her seat gracefully. "Yeah, well, you're kind of busy with two men in your life." "Says the world renowned artist." "Who's kind of a shut in and paints in her own time. You definitely win in the booked schedule department." Pouting, JiYeon reached out and hit HyoMin's hand lightly, the both of them giggling at the absurdity of their conversation. Inhaling deeply, JiYeon pulled the menu that HyoMin was perusing towards her. "So, what's good to eat here?" After a quick debate about beef and lamb, they managed to place their order without much difficulty, JiYeon leaning back and smirking at the older woman, causing HyoMin to feel a little self conscious. "What?" "Nothing." "Seriously, what? Is there something on my face?" Tilting her head to one side, JiYeon's smirk turned mischievous, HyoMin's pulse racing in response. "No. You just look a lot better without your sunglasses." "Yah, are you saying I'm ugly with them?" "No, I meant you look better without them. Considering they cover half your face, I'm surprised I even recognise you without them. You should really invest in smaller eyewear." "Well, you should invest in getting eyewear if you can't recognise my beautiful face." JiYeon opened her mouth to retort, her eyes glinting challengingly. "Are you self-" "HyoMin-ie?" An exclamation of surprise cut JiYeon off, the both of them turning towards the sudden interruption. HyoMin's eyes widened when she saw the gallery's curator heading towards them, her fingers twitching in nervousness. The elegant lady stopped by their table, her fingers trailing across the tabletop before resting on HyoMin's upper arm. "This is a rare sight, you not being cooped up in your studio." HyoMin smiled politely, eyes widening as she sent desperate signals at the curator. "Yes, I thought I should socialise every once in a while." The woman grinned and angled her head towards JiYeon, the nanny's confusion weighing heavily on the atmosphere when the curator spoke to her. "I know you from somewhere." Anxious, HyoMin reached up quickly and gripped her patron's fingers, the older woman shooting HyoMin a playful look. "I'm sorry?" Still sporting a roguish smirk that seemed at odds with her haughty looking face, she turned towards HyoMin and implored sweetly. "Aren't you going to introduce us, HyoMin-ie?" Clearing her throat and releasing her near death grip on the other woman's fingers, HyoMin spoke haltingly, inwardly praying that her biggest art critic would not embarrass her. (Not likely. Boram and her were cut from the same cloth.) "JiYeon, this is Q-ri, my best patron and the curator of the gallery downtown. Q-ri, this is JiYeon." "You forgot childhood best friend, HyoMin-ie." Groaning, HyoMin felt like heading the table when Q-ri turned her attention back toward JiYeon, the younger woman's face contorted with extreme curiosity. "And I know you. Seriously. I've seen your face so many times and heard the diatribe behind it so often, it seemed like I was smitten by you." Abandoning all pretenses of calm, HyoMin's forehead met with the table loudly, the resulting thunk causing JiYeon to jump in her seat. Q-ri steadfastly ignored her friend, hand coming to pat HyoMin's head. It would seem that Q-ri wanted to make HyoMin die of embarrassment. "But she was right. You're definitely a sight to behold." HyoMin harrumphed, hoping that it would deter Q-ri from talking any longer but like Boram, the curator has long learnt the art of ignoring HyoMin's weird sounds. "I hope this dumbass invited you to the showing this weekend. Considering you're the star of the paintings." Hearing that, HyoMin quickly lifted her head, shaking off the hand roughly as JiYeon responded. "Showing-" "I was going to before you came here to tease me!" Raising her hands in surrender, Q-ri shot JiYeon a wink and backed away slowly. "Well, I hope to see you there, beautiful. I always welcome gorgeous people at my gallery." With a small wave, the blonde left just as suddenly as she came, JiYeon and HyoMin both staring at her retreating back. Quirking an eyebrow, JiYeon stared meaningfully at HyoMin, the painter taking a deep breath to calm herself before reaching into her bag to pull out a cream white envelope. She handed it over to JiYeon and mumbled softly. "I was going to ask you, I swear. I was just waiting for us to get settled in with lunch." Eyebrow still raised, JiYeon opened the envelope carefully and pulled the silver invitation out, whistling as she read the words. "Fancy." "Y-you don't have to come, if you don't want to! I just thought..." HyoMin trailed off bashfully and tucked her hair behind her ears, only for it to tumble out again. Chuckling, JiYeon reached over and fixed it delicately, speaking lowly as she did so. "You thought what?" Cheeks growing warmer at the sudden act, HyoMin continued to mutter, as though giving life to her words would break the comfort between them. "I just thought since you signed off on the subject permission, you should see what you agreed to." "Is there anything bad?" HyoMin waved her arms anxiously, her voice growing louder. "No! It's really what I said I painted!" She twisted her fingers together anxiously and paused when she heard JiYeon laughing softly, her eyes narrowing into a glare when she realised that JiYeon was not put off by Q-ri's untimely interruption. Instead, the younger woman seemed to take joy in HyoMin's obvious awkwardness. "Yah." JiYeon raised her hands, her fingers still gripping the invitation. "Sorry, sorry. You're just too cute." "I'm older than you." "Doesn't mean you can't be cuter." HyoMin opened her mouth to argue back before thinking better of it. (You're wrong, you're the cutest. You're the most beautiful and I'm completely under your spell. Words HyoMin wanted to say. Words HyoMin can't say.) "So... Will you come?" Humming, JiYeon slid the invitation back into the envelope and pointed the object at HyoMin. "It depends." HyoMin frowned. "Depends on what?" Confused by the sudden scowl that took over JiYeon's face, HyoMin leant forwards and questioned again. "What is it?" "Do I have to wear a dress?" Taken aback by the displeasure that laced every word in that question, HyoMin started to laugh as she could not comprehend the obvious hatred JiYeon had for a piece of clothing. "Yah! This is serious!" * "I thought you said you invited her." Q-ri sipped her drink daintily, staring at HyoMin over the rim of her glass. "Sorry, what?" HyoMin turned towards Q-ri distractedly, her attention still focused on the main door of the gallery. Clicking her tongue once, Q-ri decided against repeating the question, considering how anxiously HyoMin was observing the entrance. She sipped her drink again, barely startling when Boram came up beside her, the shorter woman's voice filled with amusement. "I have never seen her this nervous. Not even for her first showing." Q-ri almost snorted into her drink. "Well, she did invite a beautiful girl this time around." "What beautiful girl? Do I need to go the ladies to freshen up?" Boram and Q-ri turned towards the newcomer, HyoMin steadfastly ignoring all of them in favour of boring holes at the doorman standing near the entrance. Boram greeted the guest with a hug, Q-ri only offering a small smile. "SoYeon-ie!" The petite woman laughed and returned the hug with the same amount of fervour. "So, what beautiful girl?" Q-ri pointed at one of the paintings hanging on the wall. “The actual person behind the smiling angel.” “Oh wow. Are you saying HyoMin actually spoke to a subject this time around?” “Yeah. Even got subject permission and everything.” Boram chimed in cheerfully. “They even made friends.” “Oh?” SoYeon moved around Boram and reached out to tap HyoMin on the shoulder. She missed her mark by a few inches when HyoMin suddenly moved, the painter hurrying towards the entrance with a large smile on her face. Confused, SoYeon turned towards the other two woman, Boram shrugging carelessly. Q-ri, on the other hand, merely pointed at towards the door. All three women’s attention were directed towards where Q-ri was pointing. SoYeon gasped delightedly. “She really is beautiful.” The other two hummed in agreement and continued to observe HyoMin. The painter was greeting her guest joyfully, Q-ri noting that their fingers interlocked easily, the movement natural. JiYeon entered HyoMin's space, face almost uncomfortably close to the older brunette’s and yet HyoMin did not seem to mind. If anything, despite the light blush that painted across her cheeks, HyoMin seemed to savour the closeness, the artist moving in slightly closer to hear what JiYeon was saying. It must have been something funny because HyoMin started laughing silently, her nose brushing across JiYeon’s lightly. The younger woman’s face had a brief scowl on it before giving way to an embarrassed grin, HyoMin tugging her guest towards Q-ri, Boram and SoYeon. The pair made quite a few heads turn, JiYeon looking startlingly radiant in a demure black dress that contrasted nicely with the black laced dress that HyoMin was sporting. The murmurs around them grew louder as the patrons of the gallery started to gossip about the star of the evening and her guest that looked remarkably like the figure in the paintings. “Guys, I want you to meet JiYeon!” JiYeon smiled politely at them and Q-ri saw that she was slightly uncomfortable with them (probably because Q-ri ambushed them at that restaurant? Or maybe it was the interested stares they were getting from the rest of the guests?) as JiYeon pressed closer to HyoMin’s side. True to her nature, Boram introduced herself, the manager easily diffusing the awkward atmosphere with her cheery attitude. Q-ri looked to her right where SoYeon was standing, the younger woman grinning cheekily at the pair (a smile that Q-ri knew would bode trouble), a similar smile playing on Boram’s lips. “Don’t tease them too much, SoYeon-ie.” Aghast, SoYeon placed a hand on her chest and shook her head. “I would never! Besides, you tease HyoMin-ie just as much.” Q-ri smiled enigmatically and nodded when Boram started to introduce them. * HyoMin breathed in shakily, her tense body slowly relaxing as JiYeon gradually warmed up to her friends, the smile on the nanny’s face growing wider as the three of them tried to make the showing interesting for her. (It seems that JiYeon had absolutely no talent in the arts media and as a result, had absolutely no idea what was going on. It warmed HyoMin’s heart to think that JiYeon came here just for her.) “So, JiYeon, when did HyoMin start using you as a subject?” HyoMin’s heart leapt to her throat when JiYeon shot her a smirk paired with a raised eyebrow (how can an expression do that? HyoMin has not figured that out yet.) before answering SoYeon’s question. “About three months ago? But she’s been painting in the park for a month before I confronted her about it so...” SoYeon hummed with understanding. “So she was stalking you for a month.” “I wouldn’t call it stalking... More like creepily observing from afar?” JiYeon smiled innocently at HyoMin when the painter narrowed her eyes playfully at the younger brunette, a smile that was returned quickly. (She had to admit she was slightly creepy.) “I had to confront her about it because I saw that my boys were also in the painting. I thought she was a paedophile but we cleared it up in the end.” SoYeon laughed and shook her head. “Don’t worry about it, HyoMin has done the same to all of us.” “Sorry?” HyoMin felt a sense of foreboding, as though something unpleasant was going to happen if this line of discussion was to be continued. Before she could interject, Boram had already added in her two cents, her manager giggling as she came closer to JiYeon like she was divulging a huge secret. “She actually painted Q-ri while she was in high school. Just sat in a corner of the room scarily.” JiYeon’s brow crinkled and she turned towards Q-ri when she huffed. “It wasn’t scary at all. I knew HyoMin-ie since I was small so I know her habits.” HyoMin breathed out slowly, hoping that Q-ri wouldn’t continue after bailing her out like this. Unfortunately for her, Q-ri continued on. “Unlike SoYeon. She was sitting outside your cafe and painting remember?” “Oh yeah, I almost got a restraining order.” HyoMin waved her arms, trying to stop the conversation, not liking the way JiYeon’s frown had deepened. “But you didn’t?” “Yeah, we cleared it up at the end.” JiYeon’s brow was still furrowed but the tension was gradually decreasing. HyoMin sighed in relief and spoke up for the first time since the discussion started. “I’m not scary once you talk to me. I just get lost in the moment and then forget about social norms.” The nanny’s brow finally smoothened out and she grinned at HyoMin, leaning close to the painter as she teased the older woman. “More like ignored the social norms.” “Well, you can look past her ignorance because she speaks as well as she paints.” A new voice interjected the conversation and HyoMin felt the same chill run down her back. Turning around quickly, she saw EunJung grinning at her, her longtime friend moving forwards and throwing an arm around her neck. She winked at HyoMin and SoYeon, the painter already planning different ways to silence EunJung as it would seem her friend had already jumped on the teasing HyoMin wagon. “My apologies for arriving late. Your collection is quite a sight this time around.” HyoMin froze when EunJung kissed her cheek soundly, her eyes immediately going towards JiYeon. The brunette looked puzzled at the newcomer but her eyes were narrowed slightly, a look that HyoMin has never seen before on her face. (And she would know. She spent all their time hanging out just looking at JiYeon’s face.) “I’m sorry, but why did you say she speaks as well as she paints?” HyoMin noticed that JiYeon was overly polite with EunJung, something even Q-ri picked up on as the curator suddenly reached over to tug SoYeon’s dress. The woman turned around to reprimand the blonde but stopped halfway, before turning back towards JiYeon and EunJung, a nervous laugh exiting her mouth. “It’s a joke between us because HyoMin always gets away with being creepy by managing to talk her way out of the situation.” At once, HyoMin knew the situation (even though she has no grasp of it, HyoMin can tell that this was going in the opposite direction SoYeon, Q-ri and Boram wanted to take it. They were probably trying to tease her again for her obvious crush on JiYeon but somehow it turned into this weird thing.), got worse. The mood worsened when EunJung chipped in. “She was really smooth, saying she wanted to immortalise our beauty on canvas and all that. I was completely taken in by her.” JiYeon’s expression darkened slightly, her eyes darting towards HyoMin before focusing back on EunJung. “Oh, is that so?” If there was an ability that HyoMin would want at the moment, it would be to create a giant crater to swallow her whole. No, scratch that. She would create a black hole that would swallow her friends so that they would never run their mouths again. SoYeon was desperately making a cutting motion behind JiYeon’s back but EunJung was oblivious to it, too intent on her mischief to pay attention. “Yeah! It was really sweet! And got me to date her for a month! Right, HyoMin-ie?”

Once opon a long time in the late Go leor (고려) era there were foxes being hunted. And they weren't just any foxes , they foxes with nine tails that could take form of human called Kumihos (구미호). And there we're 5 packs. The most powerfull and peaceful Park [박], the most beautiful but most cruel Lee [이], the most cutes Ham [함], the most small Jeon [전], and the outcasts. And the most beautiful fox in the Park pack, Hyomin wanted to become human, so she asked the moon god "How can I become human?" and the moon god replied "well the most easiest why to be come human is to eat 1000 men's liver in 1000 years, but..." "But?" "If you do not eat 1000 men liver in 1000 years you shall perish into the mist." said the moon god gave Hyomin a warning look . Hyomin thought about it for few minutes. " So are-" "I'll do it." Hyomin decided firmly. She thought it would be easy so she left the pack and found a village that has many clubs. She starts working at an big club and thanks to her beauty thing went easy for her getting into different bars when the old one shuts down and making men fall for her so she could kill them and take their liver. And after 994 years the era changed to Josun [조선], and so did the club she was working at has to change to a restaurant. and she didn't like her next job so she decided to go to the south side and go sight seeing or so cause she only needed two more livers to fill in. On her way she met an middle aged man with an cart. she decided to pretend she was poor so that the man would take her in and give her a ride, anyways she was beautiful. And as she thought the kind heart man took her in and as soon as she found out he was a Kumiho hunter ; Kumiho hunters are comond in the south cause the are many Kumihos that kill for no reason; she kills him and takes his liver and his horse. On her way she an young boyish girl(??) collapsed in front of her. The girl had claw marks on his stomach. she got the girl on to her horse and searched for a house. Luckily she found a place to stay. it didn't look abandoned but there was nobody at home. So she decided to stay there for a while. First she treated the girl's wound by her stomach . she was supirsed to find that the wound was from an fox. She didn't know that there were foxes by the south. She found some bandages and healing herbs to use. After she treated his wound the owner came she was an old lady; mean too; she tryed to kick them out so Hyomin tryed to comunicate. But the lady still wouldn't let them stay so she just killed her. Hyomin wondered how she became a cold hearted killer. when she went back to the room she saw the girl standing frozen with fear flashing in his eyes. "Are you going to kill me too?" he asked his voice trembling. "... Stupid. Maybe... Should I? nah I don,t--" The girl cut Hyomin off and said "I know what you kind of blood thursty foxes do to humans." "What do THEY do?" Hyomin asked she felt anger starting to rise from her chest. 'blood thursty?! I had to kill to become human' she thought angry. "They kill men for no reason, they take the people's liver and once they also killed the kings son and took his liver!" yelled the girl. Suddenly something hit her, only the Lee pack would do that but they didn't live in the south. "Our pack is not like that we never kill without a reason! We always try to reason or never interact with humans!" yelled Hyomin furiously. She felt her fangs extending and her claws growing. The girl was startled and jumped a few steps back and then asked "P...packs? Foxes live in packs." "Yes there are 5 packs the Park pack the most peaceful and powerful, the most beautiful but cruel Lee pack, Ham Pack full of cute foxes but bad at hunting, the most smallest Jeon pack, and then the rouges or outcasts. I'm from The Park Pack. How to tell is by the color of the tail Park pack has gold fur, Lee pack has black fur, Ham pack has white fur, Jeon pack has blue fur." Hyomin explained.[/font] "What pack are you in?" "...;; I just told you.." "Oh... The.. um..." "Park..." Hyomin sighed. She just noticed the sky was getting darker "You should go and rest inside now it's getting dark." "You won't--" "I won't don't worry" Hyomin knew she was going to ask if she were to kill the girl... 'Oh I didn't ask her name' Hyomin thought "Wait what's your name?" She asked before the girl went in "Huh? Oh.. Jiyeon... Park Jiyeon" "Oh, okay thanks. If your wound hurts tell me, 'kay? Jiyeon nodded and went in. Hyomin headed for the room on the other side of Jiyeon. (Author: You forgot to tell her something, Hyo.) When Hyomin reached the room she was already sleepy and too sleepy she forgot to spread the blankets and sleep. Hyomin just crouched down and formed into a fox, curled up in a ball and fell aspeep in about 5 minutes after she closed her eyes. That's how Hyomin and Jiyeon first day went by... w/ an argue;;; Hi, this my first post and fan fiction in English and ever. And this time I won't write only EunJi couple, there will have other couple later. Hope you enjoy reading! Content I'm hurt more than you [EunJi] Random interaction [EunJi/SoRam/MinRi] Your wife is my hubby [EunJiMin] White winter [EunJi] Time [EunJi] That's why I love her --------------------------------------------------------------------- I’m hurt more than you [EunJi] “Unnie, I’m sorry.” “Don’t talk to me.” “Unnie…” Eunjung was back-facing Jiyeon, crossing her arms in anger while younger girl was staring at her back with teary eyes. They just came back from hospital, Jiyeon was injured on her right knee while practicing their new song, number 9. Actually she felt hurt since this morning, but she chosen to keep quite because she afraid that she would be a burden to T-ara. So, she promoted their song with her unnie and didn't say anything about her knee. They woke up on the early morning to record their performance at M countdown because Hyomin had to go to Japan to promote her movie, Jinx. But Jiyeon's pain wasn't a joke, no longer she fell on the floor while practicing with her unnie. Eunjung was the first one who saw her beloved dino fell on the floor, she quickly rushed to her before shouting out loud to call their manager oppa to take Jiyeon to hospital. On the way to hospital, Jiyeon kept crying, she felt very hurt on her right knee. Eunjung was panic, afraid that Jiyeon’s pain would be a serious one so she decided to stick with Jiyeon. When they reached the hospital, Eunjung asked manager oppa to carry Jiyeon and leaded them to doctor. After the doctor checked Jiyeon's condition he diagnosed that Jiyeon's knee ligament was swelled. She was injected and had to wear a bandage on her knee, moreover doctor asked her to get more rest and didn't practice too much especially the practice that would impacted her knee. And then, they end up in this situation, Eunjung was angry while Jiyeon was speechless. Jiyeon slowly stood up and walked to back hug Eunjung who was back-facing her, rested her head on older girl’s shoulder. "Unnie, I'm sorry. Please don't act like this, you're hurting me." "Hurting you? What about you? Hide your pain from me, you think that you don't hurt me, right?" "I just don't want you to worry, it's not a serious pain." Heard that made Eunjung quickly turned around to face Jiyeon before hitting her right knee lightly, Jiyeon sure that cried out in pain. "It's a serious one, Ji! Don't try to act like you don't hurt, I know that you don't want be a burden to us, but the thing that you keep doing is killing you." "I know, but I don't want to get rest while all of you try hard to work. I can't stand it, we just on our come back after waiting for a long time, I want to do my best for our Queen's and for T-ara." "I hate you." Jiyeon was stunned by Eunjung's word, tears suddenly ran out of her eyes. She felt like her world was immediately reaching to the end, her heart was breaking into thousand pieces and all her power lost. She was about to fall to the floor, but Eunjung quickly support her. "Unnie, don't touch me, you hate me then don't touch me." She tried to push Eunjung away, but she had no power to break free from Eunjung's embrace. Saw this made Eunjung sighed, shook her head slightly because of her dino action. "Stupid dino, I really love you and afraid that you will get serious pain like this that why I hate you. I hate that you don't care about yourself and focus only on other happiness, your habit really hurt me a lot." Jiyeon was sobbing, hugging Eunjung tightly while Eunjung was resting her head on hers, stroking her hair. Eunjung knew Jiyeon's habit very well, this girl always tried hard to get the best work and didn't mind about herself. Eunjung dragged Jiyeon to sit on her lap, wiped her tears gently before kissing her forehead. "You really make me hate myself, feel like I just a stranger who you don't trust." "No, unnie. I love you and also trust you, don't hate yourself." "How can I? You don't mind to tell me that you get a pain, moreover you try your best to hide it from me until I find it by myself." "I'm sorry, but I really don't want you to worry." "You make me worry, Park Ji! You think that only you're hurt huh!? Don't you know that I'm hurt more than you when I see your condition!?" Jiyeon bowed her head down, Eunjung was nagging her. Guilt was slowly eating her, she was afraid that she would deject other then she forgot about herself, and also the feeling of who care her a lot like Eunjung. "Your pain on right knee is the same as when we promote Roly-Poly, you really don't know how much I worry about you. You nag me when I get injure on my leg, but look at yourself." Eunjung said, stared at the girl on her lap who bowed her head down. She reached her hand to cup younger girl's cheek and gently caress it. Jiyeon slowly lifted her head up to face Eunjung, she leaned to her before pressing her lips on hers. It was a light kiss as an apology, she buried her face into the crook of Eunjung neck, hugged her loosely as a hint for Eunjung to pat her head. And Eunjung never dejected her, she knew her hint and patted her head tenderly. "Jiyeon, many fans worry about you and ask you to get more rest, you have to listen to them and don't force yourself to work hard. If something happen to you, not only you, not only T-ara, but all of your fans who love you will worry. Please think about their feeling, it's like when you see me get hurt, you also worry, right? I'm sure that they will feel the same as you when they see you get hurt too." Eunjung was stroking Jiyeon's hair while younger girl listened to her words carefully. Jiyeon felt warm in Eunjung's embrace and also her word, she slowly nodded her head then hugged Eunjung tightly than before. "Promise me that you won't hide your pain anymore, tell me every time you feel hurt, okay?" "I'm promise." "Good girl." Eunjung kissed Jiyeon's forehead tenderly, sweet smile was played on Jiyeon's lips. After a few minutes pass, Soyeon,Qri and Boram came into the room. They looked at the couple who slept together on one chair, giggled by the sweet scene in front of them. Soyeon was the one who ruined their sleep, Jiyeon slowly opened her eyes and found that her unnie were staring at her and Eunjung while Eunjung didn't mind to awake just a bit. Jiyeon felt awkward, she quickly stood up that made the rest blasted in to laugh. "We will go to M countdown in ten minutes, wake your hubby up and go to the van, we'll wait you there." Soyeon said then leaded other out. Jiyeon turned to look at Eunjung who was sleeping while her mouth slightly open. She took a phone out then took some picture of funny sleeping Eunjung before waking her up. "Unnie wake up, it's time to go to M countdown." She shook Eunjung's body, no longer Eunjung slowly opened her eyes, rubbed it then yawned. "So cute." Jiyeon mumbled softly while staring at Eunjung who just awake. "It's time to go, right?" Jiyeon nodded her head, Eunjung stood up and reached her hand to Jiyeon waiting for her to place her hand on her palm. Blight smile cracked on Jiyeon's lips, she held Enjung's hand, intertwined their finger then walked to the van together. --------------------------------------------------------------------- When they arrived at M countdown studio, many fans were waiting for them. All of them asked about Jiyeon's condition and asked her to rest. Saw this, Jiyeon was touch, all Eunjung's words were truth, her fans worry about her. "I'm sorry that I make all of your worry, but I'll get well soon, don't worry about me." Jiyeon said before bowing her head down to them while smiled widely. "We love you Jiyeon!" "Get well soon!" "Unnie, take more rest!" Jiyeon smiled and waved her hand to them, felt that they gave her more power to work hard. Eunjung saw it and smiled, at less Jiyeon knew how much her fans loved her, she walk to stand beside Jiyeon so she could take care her easily. Younger girl turned to look at her, smiled sweetly. Eunjung didn't think to hold her hand, they were in public and just looked at each other eyes was enough for her. "Thank you, unnie." "For what?" "Everything." "No need." Jiyeon giggled, seemed like someone tried to act cool to her. Sure that if they weren’t in public, she would grabbed her shoulder and kissed her cheek because of how cute Eunjung was. And then, manager oppa gave them their 'Again' album before asking them to go into the room for interview. Eunjung leaded T-ara in, still looked at Jiyeon who followed her behind. They had an interview for ten minutes then reached to the back stage to get ready for their performance. Eunjung asked Jiyeon not to joy them this time because she just got injure and Jiyeon was unwilling to obey her. "Only one day Ji, you just get injure." "It's not hurt that much, I can joy you." "No, you can't." "Unnieeeeee" "Don't try to use your aegyo, it's can't work." "Really?" Jiyeon stepped nearly to Eunjung, blinked her eyes many times like little kid asking for what she want. Eunjung shook her head then pushed Jiyeon's forehead lightly. Younger girl sure that felt upset, pouted. "I have to go, stay here patiently and look at us." "Chk... okay, fighting!!" Eunjung smiled widely, pinched Jiyeon's nose lightly before walking to other unnie while Jiyeon smiled widely like idiot one. Suddenly Jiyeon's phone rang, it's was Hyomin, she quickly picked it up with smile on her lips. "Hyomin unnie! How Japan?" "Cold." "Hahahaha." "How is your knee, sorry that I call so late." "It's alright. I'll fine soon, it's not a serious pain." "Oh, okay. Next time you must be careful more than this, understand?" "Yes unnie, you make me miss my omma." "Yah! I'm not old yet! Er... I don't mean to say that your omma old too." "Hahahahahaha. I'll tell her about this." "No! Don't!" "I'm just kidding, unnie. Hahahaha." "Chk... how about performance, T-are turn yet?" "Nope, it's IU turn, but other unnie already on back stage." "I'm sure that your best friend will win, she is a master of top chart." "Hahahaha. I think so too." "Okay, I have to go, see you later and take care." "You too, unnie." Then Jiyeon hang up and it was already T-ara turn, she stared at her unnie with sparkle eyes before screaming out loud like T-ara fan club. She sang along the performance, kept her eyes on her unnie and clapped her hand happily when the song end. After that, they got out off the studio, walked to their van. Many fans still waiting for them to send them along the way, everyone still talked about Jiyeon's condition and asked her to be careful. Jiyeon smiled widely, waved her hand to them and sometime bowed her head. She was proud that she was a member of T-ara, had many fans who cared a lot about her that she didn't cared it that much. She promise to herself not to make them worry again, they were her power and also who trust in her even there had many things happen to T-ara. Now, I don't do it for my dream, but I do it for them who love and trust me. I will try my best for all of you, Queen's. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Author's Note: Hi guys, this will be a very short story with only two parts to it. I've posted this story on another site *coughs* but felt that I should post it here as well. Comments are more than welcomed, otherwise, just enjoy the story Prologue Jiyeon and Eunjung were a couple who had lived peacefully for the past three years but that was until Jiyeon’s suppressed memory of a certain person comes back to haunt her. Who was that person? Where is she? What becomes of Jiyeon? It all lies in the following tale. “Yes, the rhythm of her heartbeat is the best melody to you” “Continue loving Jiyeon for me, with all of my heart” “You have loved me with not only your heart, but your soul as well, and I will never forget you for that.” ** Poster Credits to Painted Skin on Asianfanfics
