i think t-ara is 5 members originally because they announced it that way and released a debut (first) music video. they debuted on stage as 6. i don't think it matters that much though to me at least.. haha i think what you call original t-ara is also depends when you joined the fandom.. i consider 5-ara as original because that's when i first started liking them, but i think some may have the view 6-ara is original because that's when they started promoting themselves and got fans

[13.07.14] T-ara's Soyeon passes the leadership title to Qri!
Girl group T-ara has replaced leader Soyeon with Qri. This is the norm for T-ara and Qri will be the group's fifth leader.
T-ara's agency revealed that coming with T-ara's next album release and the departure of Areum, Qri will replace Soyeon as the leader. Following Eunjung, Boram, Hyomin and Soyeon, Qri will be the fifth leader of the group.
T-ara's agency said to OSEN on the 14th, "Replacing the leader when activities changed in the group is part of the group. Qri will be the new leader for the upcoming activities."
The announcement comes after Soyeon held the leader title from January 2012, approximately one and a half years later. On the 13th, Qri held the stage at the Budokan arena in Tokyo, Japan for the first time.

Girl group T-ara is back to their original line-up that they had when they first came out in 2009. This has attracted attention of new and old fans alike since it is their original color.
In 2010, Hwayoung joined and then had a tumultuous withdrawal. Followed by her was Areum who said she wanted to become a soloist recently. T-ara has gone through a lot of changes in the past 4 years, but now they will return to their original six members.
According to the agency, they are working on collecting songs for T-ara. There are some candidates, but they are being cautious of what they choose.
Right now, T-ara's agency is rushing for T-ara's junior group 5dolls comeback after being gone for two years and then afterwards they will have Davichi and SPEED's comebacks. "Original 6-member T-ara" will comeback later.
An official said, "As early as the beginning of next year is when the comeback will probably be. Right now, we are looking for a song and depending on how fast we find one will determine when they comeback. For now, there are no immediate plans set in stone for a comeback date."

[13.07.10] Core Contents Media announces member changes for T-ara, 5dolls, THE SEEYA and SPEED
It was announced today that T-ara, 5dolls, THE SEEYA and SPEED will all have member changes.
These groups are all part of Core Contents Media, and they revealed today they will also have changes before their comebacks. 5dolls will comeback before for end of July with two new members, T-ara will promote as six, and SPEED will have two new members.
5dolls and it's existing members Hyoyoung, Hyewon and Eunkyo were joined by Nayeon last year in February. Shannon and Jihyun later joined them to promote as six for their comeback, but now Shannon and Jihyun have left the group.
Shannon proposed to the agency CEO that she wants to be like her role model, BoA, and become a solo. She and the agency agreed that she will prepare for one or two more years and then debut as a soloist. Jihyun will continue practicing and debut with another group.
To fill the two open spots in 5dolls, 2012 Chunhyang contest Cho Seunghee as well as THE SEEYA's Yeonkyung will join the group. Yeonkyung will be active with dual activities in both THE SEEYA and 5dolls.
The seven members of T-ara: Qri, Boram, Soyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon and Areum will now be six because Areum has decided to pursue a solo career instead. She wants to focus on hip-hop oriented music, but not limited to just hip-hop. She will also pursue pop and ballads and acting.
The now six members of T-ara will travel to Japan for their Budokan concert on the 11th.
The unit group of T-ara, T-ara N4, that consists of Eunjung, Hyomin, and Jiyeon now will be joined by Dani. Dani lived in the United States since an early age and thus knows English very well. She plans to join album activities in the United States before doing domestic activities.

Taewmin was born in 1995. Sungwon was born in 1997 and was in the music video for Davichi's hit song "Turtle" with 5dolls Hyoyoung.
Meanwhile, 5dolls will comeback after two years with the hit maker Double Sidekick. They will release a retro-style disco music song called "Soulmate #1".
Core Contents Media said, "'Soulmate #1' has a familiar disco melody and fun lyrics that make it an attractive and addictive song. 5dolls will also be doing disco choreography to make it an intense comeback."***

[13.06.10] T-ara unit QBS begin promotions for their original Japanese single
Korean girl group T-ara recently formed a new unit, QBS, consisting of Qri, Boram and Soyeon.
The three members of the idol group held a special launch event fot their first Japanese original single "Like The Wind" on the 10th in Tokyo. The three members joined the event to promote their new single being released on June 26th.
On this day, the three girls performed four different songs including coupling and solo songs from T-ara's "Bunny Style!" singles. They received lots of support from fan and ended with a high touch meeting.
Soyeon said, "Our song is an original Japanese song with a feminine feel and a feel of summer."
The three girls sing together as three friends. Soyeon laughed while saying, "In T-ara, I wasn't the youngest, but promoting in QBS, I'm the maknae now and I'm getting used to this feeling."
When the girls were asked about their favorite Japanese food, Qri answered first. She said her favorite was a beef bowl. Boram said her favorites were the sweets and crepes sold in Harajuku.

T-ara, THE SEEYA, 5dolls and SPEED have formed a project group to release a digital single together.
According to Core Contents Media, T-ara's Soyeon, THE SEEYA's Yoojin and 5dolls' Eunkyo as well as SPEED's Taewoon and Sungmin will all come together for the project album "Tears of mind". Their digital single "Painkillers" is a ballad with an intense rap and melody.

T-ara N4 has revealed selcas taken from BTS at the recent MDW 2013 (Memorial Day Weekend 2013) concert with Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose.
The T-ara N4 members left for the United States on May 24th to attend the MDW 2013 concert. Backstage, they hung out with Wiz Khalifa and his girlfriend Amber Rose, as well as Chris Brown.

Girl group T-ara announced a surprise comeback for August 1st with the digital single "Bikini".
T-ara's new song is produced by hitmaker Double Sidekick and will feature the female vocals of Davichi as well as reggae musician and rapper Skull. The combined strength of the musicians will set off a new style and trend of music.
"Bikini" begins with the sound of seagulls and goes in an exciting melody with a distinctive bass part and Skull's rap. The Davichi and T-ara's emphasis on their vocals will create a lively and cheerful song that will make you want to head to the ocean.
At the moment, there are no plans for T-ara to promote "Bikini" through broadcast activities but they will release a music video. Right now, T-ara is busy preparing for their upcoming showcases.
