This is a bright move on CCM/EMI's part. This accomplishes two things: it simultaneously introduces Davichi to the Japanese music-buying public while also helping reveal a softer, sweeter image of T-ara, something they're in need of right now since everyone's painting them out to be evil bullies. Plus it can be used as a way to feel out exactly how much damage has been done to their Japanese careers after the controversy...if the single performs similarly to their previous releases then it's safe to say they probably haven't lost much ground, but if it tanks it'll show that EMI has some serious work to do on image repair before they start trying to make a proper comeback.

You could speculate all you want about every person in the world that you don't know, but it's not going to mean anything. You're right, we have no idea what T-ARA members are "really" like, and we're not supposed to. But the same is true of every group, of every celebrity. And yet, most people don't actively attempt to find flaws in every celebrity they see and perhaps don't particularly right. Well, that's not really true I suppose. That's a part of fame culture, after all, isn't it? Trying to bring others down. But I doubt most people would say that's a positive aspect of it. Regardless, speculating without anything but circumstantial evidence is pointless, whether it's about T-ARA or 2NE1.

For me, I would say that Hwayoung wasn't close to other members, but bullying would be too strong a word for that. I wouldn't deny that there was a rift going on in the incident and most members have a different opinions than Hwayoung, but that's it. The members decision to bring the differences online was a big mistake, but does that make them a bully ? I'm sure that if we had left them alone the situation would have been sorted out like most girlfights. And not ended up by Hwayoung leaving and T-ara taking all the hate.
I've never idolize T-ara. They're a group of girls who has different strengths and weaknesses, but putting them together on stage makes them one of the best GG entertainers in K-pop. I just don't want to see them getting all the hate they don't deserve from the people who don't really know them.

If they didn't like it, why didn't they switch off their damn tvs or change the channel instead of watching T-ara throughout the whole show? If you hate something, just stay away from it. I know it's a tv show but they had a choice. i change the channel whenever I see someone that I despise on tv.
It seems like the netizens hate T-ara A LOT but yet they seem to be more interested in T-ara compared to their fans. I hope MBC doesn't succumb to the pressure by these ignorant netizens and apologize.

Enough with this "We want the truth!" nonsense. Quite frankly I'm sick of hearing people say this. If we're meant to hear what truly happened, it's not going to be because a bunch of fans, ex-fans, antis, or T-Jinyo pressured T-ara into speaking publicly about it, it will be because T-ara as a group feels comfortable enough to do so. The girls are probably in a fragile state of mind right now, hence why we haven't seen them once since this whole scandal erupted. They're probably in no condition to be making public appearances, and God only knows what's going on behind the scenes of this whole scandal. Stop focusing on something that doesn't involve you directly, it was never an issue involving fans to begin with. The biggest concern is that T-ara as a group resolves this, not whether or not you as a fan hear the truth. Anyways, the hidden subtext is that you want to hear them admit that they bullied someone, which may or may not have been the case; if they say anything else besides that you'll probably continue to call them liars.
And if you truly are a Christian, your primary concern will be that the girls are okay, not whether or not they speak out about this matter any time soon. You should be praying that Jiyeon, Eunjung, Soyeon, Hyomin, Boram, Qri, Areum, and Hwayoung are all okay and are being watched over by whatever higher power they choose to believe in.

I still don't think AKP should be completely absolved of responsibility here, and there were plenty of instances in the articles that they translated where they injected their own opinions, making it sound as if they were condemning T-ara for bullying Hwayoung when it hadn't even been proven that such was the case. However, I doubt they'll be sued...AKP caters to an international fanbase, and I think KKM is more focused on getting to the root of the problem, which is the Korean media that's been stoking the flames of the rumor mill since all of this started.

[12.08.03] T-ara are victims of reckless reporters

T-ara are victims of unconfirmed reports in the media.
Recently, the bullying situation began with a few tweets and reports saying Hwayoung was bullied in T-ara. Suspicions that idol groups have bullying in them have been around forever, and didn't just start yesterday. But the recent bullying accusations have exploded and attracted more attention than ever before.
A problem that lies within this is that there is so much interest in the case, that reports are being published in the press just to increase views and clicks on their website which is the wrong attitude.
To confirm the allegations that first began about bullying, netizens went and dug up various things that happened in the past. Excerpts from various different broadcasts were brought up through screen-captures and questioned, but they were not originally a problem when they first aired. The reports spread throughout the media were written without going through a verification process. Reports that were contacting representatives from the broadcasts were also hard to find.
In addition to making screen-captures of various broadcasts, rumors have been circulating about T-ara. False and malicious rumors, such as "gangs" and the like, have been circulating online because of "netizens suspicions," but like the screen-captures, they have not been verified. The "trainee" was proven to be false, and the "back-dancer" report as well, but both spread before any confirmation had been done. Some even have gone far to force evidence and say that Hwayoung left a hidden message, "fans only know," in her Twitter message but the truth is it's different depending on where you look at the image.
Websites gain revenue through clicks on ads on their website, and these reckless and unprofessional reports being spread attract attention and revenue for whoever reports it.
The bullying allegations first started on July 28th through Twitter messages and continued until the 2nd. T-ara related searches dominated every popular search ranking on various portal sites. The Olympics began, but T-ara's scandal has attracted more attention and higher interest. The topic located at the center is that journalists recklessly report things posted online without getting confirmation just for a few more clicks on their website.
Hwayoung recently posted on Twitter, "Please stop now and look forward to when I'll return with a new more mature and sophisticated image." The situation is at a point where it's finally calmed down.

Glad to see that I am not the only one to notice this and agree about it. I'm exhausted by the end of my work day and I do not come close to the amount of activities and work these girls have to do. I do admit that I get snappier too when I'm tired so I wouldn't be surprised if they get frustrated but seeing the Star Life follow them to their rehearsals and prep for the concert, it does not look like they are being divas and the b word. It looks like they get yelled at if they are not perfect and continue to practice till they satisfy themselves and those watching over them. Eunjung cried over their performance because they looked tired. That's an honest clip of the members and their hard work that we don't see being passed around. Funny you mention IY because I've watched everything I can of these girls and so I recall seeing Sunny mention that Hyomin is shy and to take care of her and Jiyeon is also shy and an introvert. All these girls have their own personality and traits that we do not know about and cannot judge without facts. I do feel sorry for them being under CCM but I don't know how other groups are treated under different management. I just recall Jiyeon on Strong Heart tearing up about a scandal and the irony of it was, her President was the one who started it. Again, there is so much more that we saw through these shows and their performances that these anti-fans choose not to watch or point out.

Whether he thinks that way or not, it's the way to go. Rationally, you don't make statements that undermine both your professionalism and possible profit (I'm looking at the 2 PDs who made rash statements about T-ara).
I do hope it kicks off, as it's Soyeon's debut in a drama! To all true QUEEN'S, don't let some ramshackle hearsay stop you from supporting the girls. Our continued support means the life blood of T-ara. And would you not want to see them (if you're part of this community, then a stupid question)?

sacrod reacted to FreakyFlyBri in [POLL] Bullying - True or Not?
No, I do not think any bullying occurred. Here are my reasons why...
The tweets that started this firestorm were made after the girls' performances at MuBank. If Hwayoung decided last minute not to perform, I could understand why the other members may have been upset, and why they may have questioned Hwayoung's determination. Does that make what they did right? Of course not, it was immature on their parts and they should have known better. Does that mean they were bullying her, though? No. The whole Twit conversation that took place looked more like they were venting their frustrations on the matter at worst, and trying to psych themselves up at best. I think Hwayoung probably misconstrued the tweets as being aimed at her, as did Hyouyoung, as did Tarae (Hwa's rapping coach). Remember, they don't live together anymore, so they probably don't correspond as much as they used to.
Furthemore, all of the alleged "proof" that has surfaced is nothing more than circumstantial evidence at best, taken from variety show appearances where, in some cases, the explanation is quite simple and quickly refutes that Hwayoung was the target of bullying from the other members. For instance, the video now making its rounds on the internet where the girls laugh at Hwayoung when she is chosen by a pedestrian in a contest can be refuted, as can Eunjung shoving the rice cake in Hwayoung's mouth, as can Boram allegedly destroying Hwa's umbrella, and Hyomin poking Hwayoung in the eye...the list could go on and on. I could explain a lot of this "proof" away, but doing so is another topic for another time.
To end this, I have no doubt that the group was having issues with each other, but the fact remains that nobody, not one of us, knows what those issues were. Furthermore, it does not mean that bullying took place, and quite frankly, I think that word has been thrown around entirely too liberally during this whole fiasco. Boram, Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon, and Soyeon not liking something Hwayoung did =/= Hwayoung being bullied.
I could be very wrong, but I just can't find it in my heart to believe they would bully anyone. I think they were all irresponsible, immature, and God knows they're stressed out and probably get on each other's nerves like crazy at times, but no, I don't think they were harassing each other any more than people would when you're constantly in close proximity with someone for extended periods of time.

I'm not surprised the girls are in a terrible state. For us fans who have been following them, we know the hard work and dedication they put into their work. Their schedule is so packed that they hardly get enough sleep. Believe me, when you're exhausted, you do not have time to be bullying. Your mind needs to focus on the work at hand.
We've been following them so long that I know those who claimed they were fans weren't really fans because they wouldn't believe most of those rumors. They would recall that the girls were always exhausted, but putting the extra mile to get their job done. Refunding the fan club membership fees because they felt bad for their fans long wait and all the other stuff they do for fans. Can you really forget all their good intentions for rumors?
They always have a camera on them too. There have been so many shows that follow them while they are on their 'free time' which of course is not because they are still filming for the show and following them to their concert. How can you even start bullying someone when you are always being watched? I can understand not being best friends with everybody but to actually bully like the rumors sound ridiculous. Variety shows are known to be ridiculous and create laughs. The more ridiculous you are, the more screen time you will have.
I am sure KKS was upset that Hwayoung did not go perform and the girls had to scramble to remember the lines. We don't know why she chose not to and I guess that answer may ease some anti-fans. However, being who he is and how he monitors the girls closely (if you recall, he makes them do a video call with him so he can see if their outfits are all in place, although i don't know if he still goes to that extreme) i am sure he was not happy to have her defy him and publicly considering it was at a music show so others would have known she decided not to perform. We do not know how she has been behaving before this nor how the girls were behaving or how their teamwork has played out but it makes me wonder about his announcement in April. Something triggered him to make that statement and add two more girls. If I had to know the truth, I'd like to know what first set him off to make that announcement and decision.
I'm probably ranting because the fans turned anti-fans annoy me. It makes me wonder if they really were fans to not recall the other stuff that we know about T-ara and continuously make hurtful comments including name calling and telling them to die. Very mature....

Hwayoung taking the high road if this is true. The only missing key to this whole scandal is what happened between T-ara and Hwayoung that night before Music Bank. We have all the surrounding stories but CCM is beating the bush around the heart of the topic. We may never find out what really happened but there are two sides to every story. I hope QUEENS understand that too. T-ara had a reason for what they did as well as Hwayoung. They are all young girls and feelings of jealousy and cockiness are very common at their ages, especially with their status. I want T-ara back =[

There's still ambiguity to this apology. It's possible that she's apologizing to the fans about giving them so much trouble in the past dew days. But it could also be an apology to Hwayoung. Considering she's thanking someone - probably the fans for their support - , I'm going to say it's the former.

Maybe some of the moderators and admin at T-araDotCom were unable to come to terms with the allegations against T-ara. Maybe they're simply closing it down because of all the fighting in the fandom, and they just decided to take the site down simply so as not to give antis another place to flock to. Who knows? At this point I'm not sure it even matters. T-ara is in a bad place right now and all we as fans can do is stick this out to its conclusion, whatever that may end up being.
