Jiyeon had an in-depth interviewed with WStar News yesterday where she revealed some interesting and fun information about herself including her solo ambitions and her variety of celebrity friends and role models! It’s always fun to read about and see which celebrities Jiyeon is close to and see them supporting each other, as well as learning about who she looks up to (Lee Hyori!)

Q: Any particular type that you want to challenge?
J: Everything. Seems like I am very ambitious (laughs).

Q: The unique teaser photo – was it your idea?
J: Kim Kwangsoo CEO’s idea. That wasn’t the original theme. It was supposed to be an androgynous image. But after the CEO saw it, he asked for the image to be reshot into the current one.

Q: There seems to be many issues with the teaser photos. Compared to mini-skirts, it feels even more sexy.
J: I also had a shock when I saw the teaser photo. I was wearing a skirt when taking the shoot, but the back portion got Photoshopped away (laughs). It was short and the slight lifting of the skirt makes it even more sexy.

Q: The dance choreography is difficult. It must have been tiring filming it.
J: The MV was filmed after practicing it twice. We went to a place to shoot it and I heard they completely cleared out the surroundings.

Q: How was the practice done for the dance?
J: I practiced for two months. The choreography this time is special. It mimics the extending of the wings. This move serves to emphasize the curves of females, but it hurts your back and pelvis (laughs).

Q: Have you heard Hyosung and G.NA songs before? How does it feel?
J: Including mine, all three of us have different music styles. That is really lucky actually. When I was listening to the different songs, I feel that mine has the most dreamy feeling out of the three. G,NA unnie’s has a “cute-sexy” feel. I also downloaded Hyosung’s song and listen to it daily. The songs are really great.

Q: During song promotions, the muse (role model) of yours is still Lee Hyori?
J: Yes. Her stage presence and charisma is really wonderful. From debut to now, Lee Hyori sunbaenim has always been my muse.

Q: Any actor in particular you want to work with?
J: Jungwoo and Benedict Cumberbatch. But before, I was watching “Reply 1994” and it felt really interesting and intrigued me. Nowadays I am addicted to the TV show “Sherlock” (laughs).

Q: Is there any character you want to try in a particular film/drama?
J: I was happily watching “Gossip Girl” (laughs). But the kind of acting I want to try is like in the movie “Sunny”. A touching role but also fun (laughs).

Q: Any director and producer that you want to work with?
J: I have only watched “You Who Came From The Stars” and “That Winter, The Wind Is Blowing”. “You Who Came From The Stars” is so funny! I am still hooked and thinking about that the drama all the time that I can’t pull myself out of it (laughs)

Q: Try out the lines of “You Who Came From The Stars”
J: On “You Who Came From The Stars”, Jihyun sunbaenim often said “sha-rae.” It interests me and I will imitate it (laughs).

Q: Usually who do you meet up with? Is IU still your BF?
J: We are both easygoing people. So the two of us together is a good fit. IU has a straightforward personality, even really direct and strong language will not hurt her. Even if IU reprimands me on anything, as opposed to feeling terrible, I would actually acknowledge what she is saying though.

Q: During your filming times, any acts that you had regrets with or want to film for another time?
J: For me, it is during the drama “God of Study”. In my opinion, the atmosphere in the filming studio is simply the best. All the actors are peers, so its relaxing and fun. I want to film like that again where the atmosphere is always fun and interesting.

In addition, at that time when the five main characters were together it was always really interesting. Now I’ve realized I was considerably fat during that time. I had lots of fat (laughs).

Q: Who is the person you contact most frequently?

J: IU, Seo Inyoung unnie, Ahsung unnie, Sunny unnie, Suzy, thats probably it. They are all very easy-going people (laughs).

Sunny unnie and Hyomin unnie filmed “Invincible Youth” together so they knew each other and grew close. I became close with Suzy during my MC-ing times.

Q: Does each T-ara member have a role in the group?
J: Eunjung = mom, Boram = grandma, and Qri is definitely the princess (laughs). Soyeon is in-charge of joking/humor.

Q: What’s the most recent movie you watched?
J: Just yesterday I watched “Obsessed”! Hahaha, I was admiring the artistic aspects… and I went with Eunjung unnie. That girl is really charismatic. I was impressed by her (laughs). She looks nothing like a rookie, but her acting was really good.

And recently, I am obsessed with action movies. I prefer action movies and a few days ago I just watched a Jackie Chan movie. It was very cool! I really want to act in an action movie. If that can’t work , then I want to play a role where the person is being loved by someone.

I really want to break the image and impression others have of me. They often say I look cold with a haughty look. Isn’t it scary? Where am I cold? (laughs)

Q: During our last interview, the members mentioned that “although Jiyeon is maknae, we also have to bear with her judgement.” What’s that mean?
J: I am naturally frank and often straightforward with my words. If the feeling of the makeup is wrong, I cannot control myself and will just directly blurt out that it looks strange. Although it is meant only for unnies, those who are not used to it will always remember it, so..

Q: You worked with Kim Soohyun in ‘Dream High’, and since then is there any difference?
J: At the time of the shooting, I filmed it when I was very tired and dispirited. In the very beginning, I was surprised. And at that time, I was unfamiliar with Kim Soohyun. Now we are very good~ chacha (laughs )
