  1. Lol, CCM's Japanese office will continue to manage them? Well, that sounds like a pretty bleak future there. That being said, I really doubt that shutting down of the fanclub inevitably means their activities in Japan will indefinitely stop. Still, it wouldn't be surprising for activities in Japan to come to a lower tempo however. The Hallyu Wave is meeting its grinding halt there - and is probably also a concerning matter, as the biggest portion of overseas income for the K-entertainment industry happens to be from Japan. Which would probably explain the sudden rush into China nowadays and CCM is merely following the trend. Just because they're the third most popular Korean girl group in the country doesn't mean it's going to keep them afloat well in the long term. In fact, it's also hit KARA and SNSD as well, both who are much bigger than T-ara is by popularity. http://www.japantoday.com/category/entertainment/view/has-japans-k-pop-bubble-burst-weakening-yen-hits-major-korean-record-label-hard http://www.soompi.com/2012/09/06/k-pop-popularity-in-japan-declining/#.Up7wj8RdW30 That being said, the scandal from last year and declination of Kpop aren't likely the only factors. Furthermore, T-ara becoming the second largest group after SNSD - that was never going to happen. The moment KKS started mouthing off some of the most controversial things to the press regarding the group by calling them lazy, threatening them and putting unnecessary members and the massively increasing amount of work i.e. nonstop promotions since the second half of 2011 right up to the day of the scandal, it was pretty obvious that the group was heading to a celebrity-crash-and-burn scenario. In fact, one may say it was inevitable.
  2. Bless you, great-uncle. Bless you.

  3. @CptFantasy I'm not saying they're liars - all I'm saying is I find their words of 'praising' KKS to be very, very distrustful and suspicious. And adding in CCM's notorious record of making contradictory statements and blatant lies, it doesn't hurt to be suspicious of the girls' words in front of the TV as well. For a group that's been around for 4.5 years and enduring a toxic work environment for that long, it doesn't make much sense (or any for the matter) for them to sound so sympathetic to him. Imagine if you were in the same position, having only 2-3 hours of sleep on nearly a daily basis, grueling schedules that last all day long, starvation diets and the like for that long. It takes a dictator to keep dissent resulting from that to be suppressed under the radar. Everything we enjoy from them in front of our screens, they go through a lot themselves - many people however, fail to see that.
  4. ^ I would be very skeptical of what Eunjung states in interviews when it comes down to KKS as the topic. It's not exactly uncommon for her, or pretty much anyone in the group, to praise or 'sympathize' with him in public - they've been doing that for quite some time actually, and the only time they ever got close to really criticizing/standing up against him was last year Feb when Soyeon openly stated how little sleep and overwhelming work the group gets and bluntly asked him on TV for a vacation, with Hyomin and Boram at her sides. And I certainly would not qualify KKS getting 'old' as a valid reason. Being at the age of 52 as of now, he's far from it, especially his extensive track record of grossly poor management and shifting the blame on others over stuff he is responsible for. Having also been active in the showbiz for 30+ years, and with a lot of power in his hands (being also one of the chief figures of Mnet Media/CJ E&M), it's extremely doubtful he would let it off easy on the girls, or admit and be responsible for the hell he's put through not just on them but everyone else in CCM that got on the wrong side of him - not to mention the significant possibility that he also had not done his mandatory military service either (and the daunting fact that many big wigs in the K-showbiz have ties with organized crime). Regardless of what he does as 'positive', it should not excuse the mistreatment he's put them through. Considering T-ara's been active for now 4.5 years, I wouldn't think the group would be so forgiving to him over a scandal, big or small. He's a power-hungry, ruthless and greedy *******, much like any major K-pop CEOs. It doesn't get any simpler than that. And people in power like him don't tend to admit or learn from their mistakes. They just find new ways to make more. It also remains unknown exactly why T-ara was reverted to its original six as well. For all we know, he may have done so because Areum just did not feel like a good fit, or for the sake of improving T-ara's image to get more profit - something CCM at this time would want very, very much right now, seeing how T-ara's more recent albums in Japan hadn't really sold off very well - which may also indicate why they decided to take the gamble on a Korean comeback.
  5. He/She's entitled to his own opinion though (quite honestly, I wish us 6-ara fans are allowed to express it more without getting clobbered for it)....I'm just more afraid of the obvious response .___.
  6. I second this. Boram's been topping up the notch with her looks even further as of late.
  7. Take it as a test of self-endurance and embracing reality All of us know that they can't stay single forever XD. The dreams of thousands would be shattered all in one go (though didn't Eunjung say a long time ago that she had a boyfriend when she was in university???), but those who pass through it without caving in shall become the special grand elite fans of the beloved Eunjung to the very end. Okay, maybe rewatching the Lord of the Rings trilogy wasn't the best idea XD. Pardon my moment of geekiness. But hey, least Eunjung has a chance As a Boram fan here, it's pretty painful to see her actually say that she feels nobody likes her .___.
  8. This is CCM we're talking about. For all we know, they'll probably screw it up again in the future, given the long track record of serious blunders that pissed off many (whether fan, net or anti). For the meantime, I do hope it stays as 6-ara...but I dunno, knowing CCM, things can quickly turn south unpredictably.
  9. The amount of ass-kissing up to KKS and 'humanizing' of him in this interview is utterly disgusting. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about him. Nothing. It's not even necessary to do so, yet they continue to speak 'good' about him on national TV like saintly angels. Worst case scenario, they've been utterly brainwashed into thinking that whatever the sh!t KKS puts through them is for the 'greater good' of their careers, even though it's not. And I certainly hope that is not the case (and prefer to believe it be that way). That disgusting sorry-ass-excuse-of-a-human needs to suffer 10x more pain for the rest of his miserable life. There is no forgiving what he's done to them. Anyways, I just don't get why idols look online for positive messages. You have fan forums and fancafes for that. Why bother going to other places where there's undoubtedly more people who aren't going to think the same way? That being said however, wise words from Boram and Soyeon in particular, mad props to'em. Like a few peeps here mentioned, it's pretty saddening that she feels no one likes her :/ As a Boram fan, this, has been clearly evident for quite some time and I can only hope she'll find a good decent guy in the near future. I should send a handwritten letter to her Probably forgot a lot more to add, but that can wait for editing I suppose. That would never have happened, unless SNSD went through a controversy similar to T-ara's scale. SM wouldn't have let it happen either and adding to that, SNSD's fandom is immensely massive (we're talking about hundreds of thousands) + had been active for much longer and group life-span wise, GG still has more time than T-ara, considering members like Boram and Qri are now getting old for K-idol standards, if not already. CCM itself would be the biggest obstacle if T-ara were ever to try surpass SNSD.
  10. Well, good thing they admit that they had some blame in their hands in the issue, rather than outright denying it (yea, go choke on your own words, CCM). With just a couple years of their life as a group left, they better be careful not to drop the soap again like last year. Mate, I fear you've just stirred up the beehive That said, I don't disagree with what you said there though.
  11. It's a typical move on CCM's part of their promotional cycle - release something during autumn, and back it up with another in winter. Nothing surprising, though the most concerning issue is that the girls will not be having an easy time here. 2-3 hours of sleep on a daily basis is a sh!tty condition alone to work in. Sadly, chances are very likely (if not absolutely) they are overworked. It's always been like this.
  12. This is one of the major reasons why I think K-pop should never, ever, attempt to even go to the US. The differences between the two are just too vast to intermingle with one another.
  13. Not buying it, sounds like media-play at best. Mediocre popularity and talent at best (let's be honest here, Soyeon sings better than she does and even she doesn't have a decent chance in succeeding solo), with terribad management is going to impede her pretty hard. Not to mention the with the over-saturated status of the idol market. She's gonna need more than just good luck. I see what you did there
  14. Good question. It reminds me of that horrific confession former child actor Corey Feldman once said about pedophilia in Hollywood and moguls (or rather just folks with a lot of influence and power) within the showbiz in the US. Scary stuff.
  15. This was pretty obvious from the get-go when the first news were announced, and reeked of CCM's incompetence, like as if the garbage hadn't been taken out for weeks. It takes a special kind of stupidity to give only a couple days' worth of prep for going to some country as massive as the US. Actually, scratch that. It takes a special kind of mental deficiency to do so. That being said, this US venture is pointless and unnecessary. It's not like T-ara will stay around as a group in the near future (say, 2-4 years time), and K-pop crossing over to the US is never going to succeed. As Simon Cowell from X Factor said to contestant Shaun Armenta a while back - "you're like a mouse trying to become an elephant."
  16. Re-debut, I find this somewhat interesting to look at, seeing that in the past, there's been some debate whether if 'Good Person' or 'Lies' was T-ara's official debut as a group, of which the former was when Jiae and Jiwon were in the group. @nathaniel - if memory calls, didn't you post up a link a while back, mentioning that Eunjung once mentioned that 'Good Person' was T-ara's debut or something along those lines? That being said, it's good to see them back as six members. It must be kept that way without any second thoughts - right up till they the day their end comes in the near future. If not, then damned if they do.
  17. Double the pain. Promoting one track is hard enough. Now two simultaneously? Lol, since when did T-ara, yet alone any idol group under a major company have any really significantly impacting say in regards to how promotions should go?
  18. Greenday ftw. I still love that song :3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NU9JoFKlaZ0
  19. You make a very good point about idols barely having time for relationships, especially in regards to this one as OJH was away for quite a long time and probably only got to see her once every now and then - I would say though, they would've met during his service length as well, since every service branch gives roughly 3-4 weeks amount of leave per year, even more if they do an exceptionally good job and get recommended by their immediate superiors.
  20. "Can you play with T-ara?" Am I the only one who thinks this sounds somewhat....sensual...???? Lol. Being dance-intensive though...I can't expect much of a great live performance from them (not like that's anything new, but still).
  21. I just dropped dead with a heart attack. As always, Boram looks friggin' stunning in her selcas. One of the most photogenic members in the group
  22. I'm more relieved that Boram seems to have finally put back a little bit of weight Those months where she looked as thin as a chopstick were rather distressing.
  23. Emotional + sorrowful combined with Shinsadong Tiger sounds like a rather unnatural mix. As they're already talking about releasing the J.version later on, it seems possible they're not going to keep promotional activities in Korea for long. But oh well, may as well wait and see how this plays out.
  24. I don't think SS has an actual contempt for T-ara, but simply just target the group themselves because they happen to be CCM's cashcow. Targeting the cashcow of the company isn't an uncommon practice when it comes down to Korean showbizz (given this, it's likely even T-ara themselves are well aware of such). Not saying it's a right thing, though one can easily understand where SS comes from, seeing how CCM tried to get them to write articles in a 'positive and certain' way favorable only to the company and when that didn't happen, sent some folks to their editorial office and demand them to change it that way, citing that the 'CEO is very angry'. In a way, the company kinda shot themselves in the foot for doing that (and as usual, it's T-ara that ends up taking the brunt of the damage). Y'know, now that you talk about who might be best for the job, I now vote for The Punisher No-nonsense, efficient, high pain tolerance, patient and lethal with even the most seemingly harmless objects + with a deep passion in taking out nasty SOBs and knows best how to strike fear into them to the maximum, both slowly and quickly. No need to worry about it. We're talking about a ROK Marine here Some of the best and toughest badasses to exist.
