  1. So I've been downloading several of the subbed videos and trying to put the parts together with Split & Concat, but when I do that, the video has no sound...I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this? Thanks!

Oddly, I have sound for T-ara World Ep. 1, but no sound for everything else... -_-

  2. T-ara's probably the group with the most remixes and different versions of songs out there - heck, John Travolta Wannabe is practically COMPRISED of remixes.

So, I was wondering if any there were any remixes/different versions you actually liked MORE than the original song?

  3. Then when they are having their solo concert, is it going to be 7 or 9 members? First solo album? 9 members? Geez these 2 unknown people will get hate from a lot of T-ara's fans

The group dynamic is gonna be destroyed by this decision; I mean, adding a new member or two not long after debuting isn't a big deal, especially when they're not super popular. But at this point, everything the 7 members worked for will have to be adjusted FOR the new group members - it isn't fair.

Not to mention I'm sure the fanbase is probably gonna drop dramatically after this. :(

  4. Kim Kwangsoo CEO said that after a while, humans and celebrities will change and can become lazy which leads to their fall. Kwangoo said the change to 9 members can help them stay successful and not turn out that same way.

He continued, "A lot of fans are worried and concern for the changes happening to T-ara, but our management knows very well what can happen if the changes aren't made. T-ara will be in a situation where there will be very intense compeition, and we don't want to think that they'll not be able to grow. T-ara went through a lot of hard practice to debut as idols. They need to continue to constantly work harder."

This is some ridiculous reasoning; how exactly does adding members stop them from "becoming lazy?" And how are they lazy, has anyone seen their freaking schedule lately?

  5. SuJu ultimately developed into sub groups for the most part and as far as it goes, if SM treated Hangeng like sh!t - not to mention that breaking into China isn't exactly what I'd call a very easy move. Ultimately, SM's main sources of income is Korea, Japan and the rest of SEA. I don't think China is particularly high up in their list, honestly. I don't see T-ara splitting into smaller groups like SuJu does, unless the number of members is expanded even more in the future.

CCM also has far less of a chance to break into China. SM obviously is far more business-savvy than CCM is, as well as having a far more financial advantage but even they're not THAT impressive in breaking to the Chinese market. And of course, SM doesn't have a cuckoohead like KKS in charge.

I doubt T-ara will break into sub-groups, but it's not impossible with two added members - although my point was that with a foreign member, the group as a whole would probably be better received. Hangeng was definitely the most popular SuJu member in China, and he was definitely welcomed back with a ton of fans. China, to me, seems like a good market; there's a ton of people with a ton of cash, and a lot of people in the younger generation. I don't know too much about the most recent stuff, but in the past SM did Chinese versions of songs a lot.

But yeah, CCM breaking into China seems...overambitious, and I'm putting that nicely haha. I think SM was actually fairly impressive though, SuJu seemed really popular when I went there for vacation. And just my opinion, but C-Pop is mostly atrocious nowadays.

  6. [iNFO] T-ara is not allowed to bring a single penny for their Europe trip. They will have to earn the $$ themselves in this 9 days/8nights trip.

    from:baidu

    .... Is this true ?

So I think they're just making the "vacation" into like a variety show; the fact that T-ara has to record themselves already limits the actual amount of fun they could have (since they can't just do whatever they want), and now I guess they'll be doing like missions or whatever for spending money? So not really a vacation, more like an opportunity to have a bit of more entertaining work in Europe...which is kind of nice, I suppose.

  7. Why does the first pic have the title "KARA" on the right hand side?

I'm not too sure, but it might be something about the Hallyu Wave? My understanding of Japanese is incredibly, incredibly shoddy, but the first two characters is "Shi Dae" so I was thinking SNSD, and there's something about Korea towards the end I believe :/

  8. I guess we should just wait until the official announcement before raging. -.-" but I can't see anything good with member change/addition. KKS, what are you thinking?

I agree, the article only says there's a likelihood that more members will be added, so people shouldn't be jumping the gun and saying they'll quit liking T-ara -.- And this whole thing is obviously backfiring as you can tell from the responses...it makes me worry about T-ara's popularity to randomly have a member change at what is probably the highest point of their career.

KKS seems to be suffering from insanity...this is incredibly unnecessary - and there CAN be bad publicity. This is NOT helping anyone.

  9. I just watched a fancam from a lovey-dovey performance where Sooyeon came out and sang on the side while leaning on a crutch.

I don't get why T-ara would add members. They already have 9 members.

Eunjung, Hyomin, Jiyeon, Soyeon, Qri, Boram, Hwayoung, IV Drip, Crutches.

You, sir, just won the internet. Seriously made my day right there XD

Regarding So Yeon's injury, I suspect the worst. If there's no news about it popping up, then one may even argue that CCM (or KKS himself) actually covered it up since they (or he) could be the ones behind So Yeon's injury. While I cannot say it's definitely true due to lack of evidence, it certainly cannot be ruled out - after all, So Yeon's the one who spoke out against KKS on TV a while back. By giving the members a break, it certainly gives KKS the perfect opportunity to have her injured without anyone knowing how it happened.

Whoa, conspiracy theory...while I agree that KKS is really stupid, I doubt he'd actually have Soyeon injured considering how counterproductive that would be. Also, he'd be screwed if she revealed it; even if some people don't believe her, his stocks would probably plummet from the bad press. And yeah, definite lack of evidence...I feel that your claim there is a little too much. Possible, even makes sense in a really creepy way, but yeah. I really hope it was just some accident and nothing deliberate...or I'll seriously lose faith in the world.

On a side note, adding more members just seems silly; the screen time is stretched as is, any more and you'll just be adding backup dancers. 7 is good, but when you get more than that...*sigh*

  10. Well,I do.Everytime I watch any of T-ara's videos (whether it's performances or interviews),almost 90% of the comments are about the top 2,that is Jiyeon and Eunjung.

Eunjung - yes, comments do compliment her on her singing. Jiyeon - much, much rarer. Obviously some fans - and not a large percentage of them at that - will compliment her on singing, and over-excited fans may take it a step too far (she can definitely still improve), but on the whole Jiyeon is only known for her looks and any skill in singing is generally glossed over, which leads to my belief that she is actually underrated. Not the most underrated, she's far from that, but underrated all the same.

    Glad you agree haha.

  11. I highly disagree that Ji Yeon can be considered 'underrated' in terms of actual skill - yes, it's undeniable that she has solo OSTs but then again, she hasn't performed any of them on live performances in KBS Music Show, MBC Music Bank and SBS's Inkigayo - the three major music performance shows in Korea. It's not like she's doing acting 24/7. Compare her singing to So Yeon, Eun Jung and Hyomin and you'll see a tremendous gap - some may even argue that Ji Yeon's singing is equal or even worse than Boram's.

But being the most popular member with the largest number of fans, it's no doubt that there are people that will ovexaggerate her actual talent as a singer.

It's true that Jiyeon hasn't performed live on stage, so I see your point; however, being able to record the song in the first place demonstrates at least a certain level of skill and range that most people do not credit her with having. One could argue that recording is different from singing live, that it can be edited, etc. but honestly, the singer still needs to actually SING. I've heard a lot of bad solos even on official OSTs, where I'm sure editing takes place. And yes, it's undeniable that Soyeon/Eunjung/Hyomin are better singers than Jiyeon; but the fact that you and I acknowledge this proves my point that they are not underrated. If we use the correlation between skill and other people's appreciation of it to measure overratedness and underratedness (those are not words by the way...), then I have to stand by Jiyeon being underrated. How often do you hear people compliment her on her singing. It's always about her being pretty, looking like Kim Tae Hee - despite the fact that Jiyeon has, I think, a really gorgeous voice; I became a fan after listening to Rolling >_<

This is a fun discussion, I like this :D

  12. ^I kind of agree with butterfly unbound in that while Jiyeon is probably the most popular member, you have to consider she can be classified as underrated in terms of actual skill; a lot of people think because she's the "face" of T-ara that she can't sing, but that's obviously not true as soon as you listen to her solos :/

Just because someone is popular doesn't mean that they can't be underrated.

As a whole, unfortunately I'm gonna have to agree with Qri...she was also the last member I learned about :( I may be wrong as a lot of people aren't mentioning this, but I think Hwayoung is underrated too; she doesn't really get to rap to her full potential.
