[14.06.07] Eunjung to appear on the R-rated sex and relationship jTBC talk show “Witch Hunt” It’s been announced that Eunjung will appear on the Friday, June 19th installment of the jTBC talk show “Witch Hunt”. Reading about the show, which started last year, it sounds pretty good. They talk frankly about love and relationships in ways that they weren't able to before on TV so this is really a groundbreaking thing for Korea. It was taken off the air for a while earlier this year because I guess the communications commission of Korea wanted a tape delay instead of a live broadcast so they could edit material they didn't like. That seems to have only made the show more popular. Taeyeon from Girls' Generation says she watches the show regularly though she's afraid to be on it herself. ㅋㅋㅋ Basically, it's a super popular show in Korea and therefore a good opportunity while Eunjung is great on variety shows because of her intelligence and charisma. I'm assuming we got a hint of what to expect from Eunjung's BNT article where she talks about dating pretty frankly. More and more, fans want idols to be real people rather than the highly polished images their agencies want them to project and this show seems like a great platform for them to relate to their fans in a way that shows like "Hello Counselor" don't allow for. Shippers might even expect her to talk about Jiyeon since she's popular right now.

Been busy voting on MCD, just now get some time to breathe and spazz ~ Boram never failed me with her supportive attitude towards other members since the day I became a Queen's :3 Jiyeon is too excited LOL.

Also the name "Witch Hunt" is a bit misleading. It's actually a bit of word play. Here is a good article detailing the show's style and format. It sounds like a good show addressing personal problems in a mature and understanding yet occasionally humorous way. This is something Eunjung really does well with since she likes to take care of everyone. ㅋㅋㅋ

I was waiting for this!!! She looks absolutely like a precious girl in this, just wondering when did they record this. Looks to me like the time when she was shooting for the International BNT? The dress looks familiar to me.

I think in a lot of other countries this doesn't get the 19+ rating but Korea's gov't is super uptight about this sort of thing and they make it taboo. It's the same mindset that got people uncomfortable with Jiyeon's pelvic dance. International fans thought it was no big deal but obviously some people in Korea got very awkward about it. It's basically a "love advice" show, a bit like "Hello Counselor" but talking about relationship issues and people are loving it! People call in with their problems while the hosts and guests sound off with their impressions of people's situations. This show opens up a dialogue that Korean society hasn't really had an opportunity to engage in yet. "Witch Hunt" represents a very significant and positive shift in Korea's culture. It's pretty cool that Eunjung is going to be a part of this.

Oh, that just got me interested. So, they're covering real topics in this show, huh? Eunjung is very mature and a well renowned TV persona, I think this show really suits her well. On the bonus point, we might get a chance to see another side of her that was completely unknown before. I'm sure Eunjung's stans is excited right now, I know I did.

I'm not familiar with the show but Eunjung is intelligent and mature so I'm sure she'll do well.

Looks like I'm not the only one who badly missed Qri. I know riiiight, her friends are a real looker too! It's like pretty girls are magnet to each other. I agree, seeing the girls engaging in social activity with their friends is one of the most enjoyable thing. It's nice seeing them performing on stage or attending celebs soiree but nothing beats a normal, off camera quirks. \0/

1) Yes, they're the sixth municipal elections. Aside from governors, it's also elections of various other figures in metropolitan councils and the like. . 2) The guy who resigned, as CaptFantasy mentioned, was ROK Prime Minister Jung Hongwon. The position of PM is still left open, though a man named Ahn Daehee (former Supreme Court judge and lawyer) was nominated before he withdrew from it due to raised concerns of alleged corruption related to earned a bit too much during his tenure as a lawyer - at least that's what the opposition party has claimed. President Park is still in position, and won't be going until four years (unless she's somehow impeached or resigns, though this is very unlikely).
