[12.04.25] Video - Japanese "Lovey-Dovey"
Scatter_88mil replied to nathaniel's topic in Latest Updates
Who knows, this MV is probably the last time Boram ever gets to have some decent screentime before the member additions and promotion of the second album's title track occurs. Ji Yeon's still the most popular member of T-ara to make up for lack of lines AND screentime. I don't see anyone else in T-ara overtaking her that way, minus Eun Jung. -
Pish posh, typical of KKM. People, please don't expect that sorry-ass-of-a-company to do you any favors. KKM always does something to disappoint us hard, no matter what. List of notable things KKM has disappointed us with in recent months. 1. Giving T-ara barely a week of vacation (seriously, wtf? They worked damn hard constantly for 3 years and that's all they get?) 2. Adding in new members in July while also threatening to kick out those who don't support the decision 3. Couldn't be bothered keeping big money safely for themselves during the trip to Europe, hence why it was so easily stolen 4. A very lackluster Japanese version of LD (or should EMI be blamed?) 5. Now delaying another song that is to feature 2 T-ara members

[12.04.06] What's the role of the 2 new members of T-ara?
Scatter_88mil replied to xxxiang's topic in News
Excellent post. We really can't tell if the new members are actually talented and if they're singing capability is subpar like those you mentioned, it'll be an even more terrible disappointment. If he actually had eyes to see who has talent, he wouldn't have added Qri or Boram in the first place prior to the group's debut. Regarding the reason for adding Hwa Young, I'd also point out that it was a huge failure - I mean, lowering the average age? Anyone can see that only Ji Yeon and Hwa are the only ones that haven't turned 20 and the rest are already approaching their mid 20s, some already having done so. It didn't really solve anything other than making him look like a nutjob whose words don't make much sense (and suffice to say, it would be miracle if he whatever horsesh!t he says ever makes any sense at all). I'd have to disagree with Ji Yeon being an ok singer or becoming a successful solo singer though - yes, she has done OSTs but then again, the guys in charge of production have the technology to make her singing sound perfect before releasing the song, not to mention she's never performed any of her OSTs on live (and when she and So Yeon performed 'What Should We Finish', she didn't sound too great). Furthermore, it's not as if singing was something she was passionate about in the first place. Conclusively, she may have the potential, but she still needs more serious and adequate training as well as motivation - something very, very likely CCM hasn't bothered to do. -
[12.04.25] T-ara to hold their fanclub opening ceremony on July 14th
Scatter_88mil replied to nathaniel's topic in News
This isn't really surprising since their fanclub was announced to open up at July anyway. Of course they'd have an opening ceremony (imagine if they didn't have one - that'd be a shocker). Though I prefer the name Taratanks - T-ara being indestructible tanks that bulldoze any idol group attempting to surpass its popularity LOL. -

Well, think again. Ji Yeon got far more screen time than Boram, Eun Jung and Qri in everything else. It's a bit unfair for the other 3, don't you think? -

I think EMI or CCM should be the ones you'd be blaming. It's not like T-ara's in charge of production. -

....Is it safe to say that I'm very disappointed before I get bashed by everyone else? The whole MV looked rather cheap and by the looks of it, on a rather tight budget (really, should I blame EMI or CCM for this?). If the latter is true, why? Too much money spent on filming that MV for the Gang Kids and the trip to Europe? Honestly, this makes the Japanese version of BPBP look like a masterpiece (and this is coming from someone who doesn't like BPBP very much). Hell, I might as well say that during the trip to Europe, they got permission from the German government to break into Hitler's underground bunker, give it a good clean-up and just filmed the MV there. And what's up with the quality of the video? Only watched till 1:44 before I lost interest and went "Oh good golly...why did I even bother" On the plus side - Boram actually got more screen time. Yes, she ACTUALLY got more SCREEN TIME. That I give credit for but other than that, this MV's really a disappointment, at least for me anyway. -
[PICS] T-ara @ Gimpo Airport to Japan (04/23)

Helping with MV filming and doing photoshoots for the company you work for does NOT count as a vacation. Thanky you. Now, if they wanted a real vacation in Europe, they should have been allowed to bring their own money - which they weren't. If they were REALLY impatient for fun, they would have just said 'screw this work, I'm gonna have fun' and escaped for some mindless fun like many youths do. -
[12.04.06] What's the role of the 2 new members of T-ara?
Scatter_88mil replied to xxxiang's topic in News
Actually, what the girls need now is a 6-month long break and THEN vocal/singing lessons. They're obviously working under atrociously exhausting conditions that even makes SM look like humanitarian workers for the UN. Plus, the songs you mentioned above - it wasn't just So Yeon's vocals that weren't utilized properly. NONE of the members had their vocals fully utilized in those songs, further provided many of them are autotuned, electronic stuff that aren't really fit for live singing on stage. And despite So Yeon's vocal ability, some have even considered T-ara's live performances to be among the weakest of all the major idol groups - and frankly, I think it's true. On too many occasions, the background music is too loud to even hear their voices properly. I even wonder if they're lipsyncing at times O.o Alternatively, KKS could have referred to So Yeon's vocals being burdened when it comes to other tracks that aren't promoted (Maboo, for example) but as said - they aren't promoted so it's an entirely pointless effort to have 2 new members sharing So Yeon's role. Noted that So Yeon will also get far less lines as a result. -
[12.04.06] What's the role of the 2 new members of T-ara?
Scatter_88mil replied to xxxiang's topic in News
That would be the right way to go of course. Even SNSD is better at distributing its lines than T-ara does by a huge margin. Hell, even Super Junior does a better job. And no, chances of the 2 original members coming back are at best, very, very low - possibly zero. Besides, CCM's level of management was never impressive to begin with so you can't really expect much out of them. I'm more worried about the high possibility that adding the 2 members is actually a way of pressuring some of the current members to leave on their own will - which in that case, Qri, Boram and to a smaller degree, Eunjung, are the most vulnerable. Kicking them out forcefully obviously will be a major public relations disaster (and who knows how many fans T-ara would lose if that happened) so it's better off to just pressure the ones KKS's doesn't want to leave on their own. But that doesn't make KKS any better himself - actually, even worse in some way. I've had a team leader who did a similar thing - if there was an employee he looked down on (educational background, age etc. even gender to a degree), he'd deliberately make him/her finish two difficult tasks at once until the employee simply can't take it anymore and leaves. And suffice to say, I was one of them. Not really my fault that washing all of the lab's used glass-ware and doing tests at the same time is an impossible thing to do. -
Forget it, I'll just raid CCM's archive rooms, grab a copy and RUN like hell I'm almost certain extra copies of the limited edition would be stored somewhere around. Company I worked at always keeps extra samples of the products sold to customers - much more cost-effective and less time-consuming than having to remake it from scratch.

I think we need to see KKS posing on the bed for the camera too

I figured something was wrong when the Roly Poly 2 musical was to be out this summer, which is in the middle of T-ara's Japanese tour and release and promotion of the second album. Whoever thought it was a good idea to put it at that date sure as hell doesn't have much logic in their brain. Which goes to say, it's good that they got at least something to lessen their workload - but doing a tour in June and promoting the second album at the very next month is still too much.

[12.04.06] What's the role of the 2 new members of T-ara?
Scatter_88mil replied to xxxiang's topic in News
Err, CCM isn't among the Big Three, nor does it even deserve to be in it. The Big Three are SM, YG and JYP. If CCM was part of the Big Three, then there is obviously something wrong with the Kpop industry itself (and there's already plenty of flaws in the Kpop industry that need some major fixing). -
[12.04.06] T-ara to promote as 9 members beginning in July
Scatter_88mil replied to nathaniel's topic in News
Er, no it's not, unless you want to follow After School's example (and if I remember right, their popularity dropped over time due to such a system). Do note that even larger groups like SNSD and SuJu didn't really have fair distribution with lines in their songs as well back in their earlier years - but SM still put in the effort of promoting each member (Han Geng, is an exception) while at least trying to improve their singing abilities. Nor did they even change members in either group. Likewise, I don't see any of the SNSD members becoming forgotten in the long run once the group itself disbands but in the case of T-ara disbanding, Boram, Qri and Hwayoung face a high risk of ending up as nothing but the typical average civilian while So Yeon is on a roughly 50/50. -
[12.04.06] What's the role of the 2 new members of T-ara?
Scatter_88mil replied to xxxiang's topic in News
Who knows, maybe something nasty could burn KKS in the ass later this year? The guy's getting more flak than any CEO in the Kpop industry, minus the one of Open World Ent. You don't need to be a genius to figure that the girls are more or less not too happy with having to work under that inferior subhuman. Given how successful T-ara is, I don't think it'd be surprising if any of the Big 3, as well as others like Cube and even LOEN didn't hesitate to take the girls under their umbrella behind-the-scenes if in any case CCM gets f**ked up big time (and by that, I mean by lawsuits, contract termination etc.) -
I know this will sound crazy and all, but maybe the thief who stole the money was a T-ara fan that has a deep hatred for KKM (or KKS himself)? Could've been part of his own ploy in an attempt to sabotage the whole thing just to make KKS pissed off. I'm pretty sure people were looking for the lost money for a while - it's not like they'd report this kind of stuff to the press without trying to find it themselves first (unless the whole staff turned out to be incredibly lazy). And besides, this is KKM we're talking about. Their level of management is hardly impressive so it's not surprising they left all that money on Eun Jung to take care of. They probably thought it was too much of a hassle and costly to pay for some security with ex military, LEO or PMC background (yes, by that, I mean REAL bodyguards).

[12.03.15] T-ara to become 7~9 members, including replacing members
Scatter_88mil replied to nathaniel's topic in News
I don't normally believe in conspiracy theories myself either (in fact, I think most of them are BS) but considering how potentially counterproductive adding more members is, I think it's quite possible KKS may have injured So Yeon. Chances are it's unlikely but it's not easy to rule out. We're talking about a clown who's more concerned with money and his own ego than anything else. Plus, we hadn't really heard So Yeon complain about anything ever since she publicly spoke on TV 2 months ago that T-ara didn't have a vacation since debut. She says that and then recently, plays it off awfully cooly regarding the member addition - it simply just doesn't add up. -
[12.03.15] T-ara to become 7~9 members, including replacing members
Scatter_88mil replied to nathaniel's topic in News
I highly doubt Davichi would be fused with T-ara. Davichi is doing well on its own right and they're actually quite popular in Korea - . Their songs do well in the music charts too. Vocal-wise, they're also much more powerful than any of the T-ara members (So Yeon included). If Davichi fused with T-ara, then it effectively makes So Yeon, Hyomin and Eun Jung's role useless as main and lead vocalists and worst case scenario, put them down to sub-vocals while Boram, Ji Yeon and Qri are used as backup dancers for the most part. Furthermore, it could also be counterproductive for Ji Yeon as Kang Min Kyung is also quite popular for her looks as well, possibly replacing Ji Yeon as the 'face' of T-ara. I'll also note that Lee Haeri is actually older than Boram and Qri, replacing the two as the oldest in the group.
