Same here, it's always interesting to see people's views on this topic and how it branches off lol. Seriously, Diadem forum is the best place for debate and discussion of T-ara
While it may be true that they sing live badly, isn't that the same for most idol groups? I mean singing and dancing so energetically is really hard to do, even if you're fit an everything, it's hard to keep your voice from trembling while moving your body so hard (LD's choreography has a lot of movement)
Anyway, the thing i want to point out that, if the current T-ara; whom has had a little less than 3 years of live stage performance experience and they're still 'out of tune' or 'out of breath', what makes these new members any different? Won't they be worst and make T-ara's future performance less than enjoyable (and professional to some degree considering they're a group that debut 3 years ago)?
I have a feeling we'll be hearing more autotune songs and not ones like Lies, TTL, with the exception of this upcoming comeback. The choreography doesn't seem as intense as LD, actually reminds of a little of Lies and the song is nice, but that's probably KKS's way of showing "see, these new girls can sing and dance." But wait till they get choreograph like LD or RP, then we'll see how good these members are.
Oh and I recommend buying their very first album "Absolute First Album", It has a bunch of nice songs in it, I especially like "Bye Bye" and "Falling U" ^^ But if their upcoming album is anything like the rumor list... >_>;; I ain't buying it tbh xD Hopefully that list is fanmade
Jiyeon is grown up But with all her older members, she can't help but act the maknae that she is, or it's just her personality to be playful xD She's such a cutie pie~ (refer to last part of Pretty Boys EP 10 for epic Jiyeon's playful personality, it's maknae time!)
Anyway, I think a lot of fans would still and always think of Jiyeon as T-ara's maknae Even when Hwayoung was added, she didn't lose that title (I think)
And I think Jiyeon had the lead role in DH2, if memory serves me correctly there was an interview for the confirmation of Jiyeon getting the lead role for DH2... But meh, seems like DH1+DH2 always had several lead roles... just 2 main ones though lol

Well, I don't think her English would be that good. As in Native speaker wise, i mean, she's only 14, she was 4 when she arrived to the US, so that's about 10 years then. But then you have to minus some years for being a trainee in Korea. So let's say about 7-8 years of staying in the US learning English... So she's only at elementary English, unless she went to an international English speaking school in Korea. But hey, she could surprise me haha
And people can't help but hate /be negative towards her. She was ultimately smacked straight to our faces as the new 9th member of our beloved group who already has some ongoing issues in terms of line distributions, screen time/promotion, breaks and the fact that the damn CEO got up and insulted them. While starting to heal from that wound, he goes and rubs salt on it by adding members because apparently none of the current members are good enough to help Soyeon with the vocals. And at the same time threatens to replace/kick out any members who basically disobeys him about the additions. Total BS.
I think it's mostly due to the fact she was revealed so early. If she was revealed after the MV she's supposedly starring in, maybe people wouldn't be so neagtive towards her, but meh.

I think the AF graduating concept is unique, probably to make them stand out? I don't know, but i definitely remember After School as the idol group with a graduation concept But more than so, I remember Ga Hee from heroes! Truthfully, if Ga Hee does graduate from AF, i don't think i'll even bother with the group anymore.
As for this article, i don't see any slight resemblance between Dani and Yuri, not even at a first glance. I even tried looking at the picture and glance away really fast to see if i can see the 'resemblance ' but all i saw was someone who looks a little similar to f(x)'s Kyrstal, as you've said xD
If i was that 14 year old, i would've ask the CEO not to put me into the group, unless i have no choice, but there's always ways to get out like, if it were me, I would just go to my parents to pull me out, like HyunAh from WG.
If Boram, Qri and Jiyeon ndoes become backup dancers in the future, won't hell be raised? Especially with Jiyeon, i think half the fans like see her sing, no matter how short a line. I mean, if my ears didn't deceive me, all the MC, MB and Inki performances I can hear fangirls scream really really (annoyingly) loud when Jiyeon comes to sing.
And come to think of it, I don't think I've heard them rap in RP or LD. I wonder if they're dropping the raps... >_> Personally, i loved Eunjung and Hyomin's rap, especially in TTL2
And Hyomin lines haven't gotten less. I think it's Boram and Eunjung who's lines are getting less and less. I mean in LD, doesn't Boram only 'sing' "정말 좋겠네"?
As for "i don't think i can fully call myself a queen anymore", I feel the same way. Actually, i brought the membership, despite knowing of the possible changes, but i seriously love T-ara with all my heart that i couldn't pass up the moment/year of their official fan club opening.
However, i feel like this strong attraction and love towards T-ara is starting to dwindle bit by bit because of these news and the additions. And no, I'm not saying my love to the 7 girls are dwindling, but to the group that's known as T-ara. I'm still very much in love with Boram, Qri, Soyeon, Eunjung, Hyomin, Hwayoung and Jiyeon. Just not T-ara. It's not T-ara.... It's T-ara plus 2 for me.
Hopefully I'll get over this ideology and come to accept the new girls after they show me what they got. But it doesn't change the fact that I'll resent them or rather, KKS for disrupting the T-ara dynamics.

It would be nice to have someone with Soyeon and Eunjung's vocals but if that was the case, I would rather that person (if Dani does happen to belong to that group) become a soloist than debut in a group. Groups were meant to have vocal harmony, which T-ara does (at least from what i heard in AFA, it seems like it does). Like that interview in Win Win with IU, the reason why she wasn't put/debut in a group was because her voice stands out too much that it would've cause a clash between the vocals.
I personally wouldn't want one person outshining the rest by a large margin (in terms of singing), especially if it's an idol group. And like Scatter said, T-ara is an idol group, they aren't or rather weren't meant to be or have vocal powerhouses. And if they were, they should've been a smaller group like 2-4 of them instead of 5, 6, 7+
That's what I've been thinking since the rumors and the official announcements of additions to T-ara.
Personally, if T-ara does turn into AS, as in the graduation concept, I'm throwing my Queen's title out the window.
Only the future will tell if these additions were a good thing or a bad thing. Hopefully the former. (even though i despise the additions with my whole body and soul)

First, comparing them to already famous or successful groups, emphasizing on skills and looks they have; probably and most likely to a point of exaggeration, and giving tidbits of irrelevant information - to divert your attention
Now, I'm just waiting to see how bad CCM and KKS screwed up this time or not. Maybe he didn't and actually succeeds again.

Honey Honey was similar to LD... for me, I think they should've choose another song, like Tonight. I really like that song, and i think that should've been their debut song. Honey Honey just isn't going to stick for me....

Truthfully i was a SONE much longer then i was a Queen, and its really annoying to see CCM trying to compare T-ara with SNSD because i think its only unnecessary stress on T-ara. SNSD and T-ara are on different levels, and so is T-ara and After School and i think what is needed is to stand out in your own way, and not try to follow other groups. Why have 9 or why have (if they do) a graduating concept?
Plus she doesn't look like Yuri. Maybe Krystal but thats as far as you can stretch it.
I feel sorry for Dani. Look at Jiyeon, debuting at such a young age, do you realised in alot of shows (Taxi, DH2 interview etc) she always says that she wishes to go to school, make normal friends? You're robbing a 14 year old girl of that in place of anti-fans, stress, sleepness nights, lack of family and friends in return for popularity (that by right, does not belong to her?)
Qri and Boram has half a line each, Jiyeon's lines are reducing, Hyomin and Eunjung nevers raps anymore and their lines are getting less and less. Just compare it with Lies, IGCBOY with LVDV and you'll see that stark difference. What now? Ori and Boram, and maybe Jiyeon would become backup dancers? Just to fill the stage? i don;'t even know and it hurts to think about it that way.
For me, i'm starting to feel that my favourite group will always be SNSD -they didn't need member changes to become popular, and while i'll always be supporting Hyomin and Jiyeon (the original maknae, and i believe she will always be taken care of best by EunMin), and continue watching over T-ara's activities, i don't think i can fully call myself a queen anymore. And for that, i'm really sorry to the original T-ara.
