[12.08.07] Quick News - T-ara and Davichi to release "We Were In Love" in Japanese
gabygebbie and 4 others reacted to FreakyFlyBri for a topic
This is a bright move on CCM/EMI's part. This accomplishes two things: it simultaneously introduces Davichi to the Japanese music-buying public while also helping reveal a softer, sweeter image of T-ara, something they're in need of right now since everyone's painting them out to be evil bullies. Plus it can be used as a way to feel out exactly how much damage has been done to their Japanese careers after the controversy...if the single performs similarly to their previous releases then it's safe to say they probably haven't lost much ground, but if it tanks it'll show that EMI has some serious work to do on image repair before they start trying to make a proper comeback.5 points -

'T-JinYo' Refusal To Watch T-ARA Related Dramas-Petition Fail, 'On-Offline's Drastic Difference' ‘T-JinYo’, who is known to have 340,000 members online, don’t seem to work well together offline. On August 6, the first episode of “Haeundae Lovers” with T-ARA member Soyeon, received a viewer rating of 9.8%. Considering this was their first episode, the ratings were seen as good. ‘T-JinYo’ planned to ban watching dramas with T-ARA members in it. However, it was harder than they had thought. Due to the positive ratings of the drama, many watched the drama regardless of the ban. ‘T-JinYo’ had also planned to protest in front of Core Contents Media on August 4. However, they ended up canceling the petition due to their lack of preparation. There were thousands of posts about the protest, but in reality, only about 30 members came out to petition. This is a rather embarrassing number for a group that has over 340,000 members online. Why is it that the online and offline actions are so different? An official stated, “It could be because of the fact that they have to show their face when they come offline. Online, anyone can say whatever they want, but when they are revealed in public, it is harder for them to say what they want.” Most of the members of the group are also in their teens, which could also cause problems if they were all to meet offline. Many of the group members ideas and thoughts were different which could have also made it difficult for them to come to a clear consensus.3 points

[12.08.05] True or not, the public will only believe what they want about T-ara's bullying situation "Tara-'s Hwayoung Was Not Bullied!" Written by Kim Yong Hyo, a reporter who has written many editorials on hot issues within the entertainment industry for the column [연예세상 비틀어보기] T-ara’s Hwayoung never once mentioned the word “bullying.” And in reality she was not bullied. Netizens are merely creating evidence of bullying. (Those who seek the truth about such ‘bullying evidence’ please see the post http://thetaratruth.tumblr.com). Nevertheless, the public now believes “Hwayoung was bullied” as the truth. Why is this? Probably because from the very beginning, many believed in the rumour that there is bullying among girl groups in the entertainment industry. But some activists used what is claimed as ‘evidence’ to cleverly fabricate stories and to stir up the innocent and trusting public. The first time I heard about the news of Hwayoung being bullied, I asked “So you’re saying that T-ara’s Hwayoung was bullied”? Because this it not the truth. Recently, I went with T-ara to their Tokyo Concert to gather information, and Hwayoung and the other members got along very well. Used in relation to her, the word ‘bullied’ is inappropriate. Born with a beautiful appearance to a relatively well-off family, she grew up lacking nothing. And also with her father’s vigorous support for his daughter to become an artist. (Personally finding his way to a large agency company for his twin daughters to become artists, and interfering with CCM with all his might, a father like this, if his daughter really was bullied, would he really stand by and do nothing?) Of course, because young girls are grouped together in girl groups, issues of envy and jealousy will come up sometimes. (This is true not only with T-ara, but also other girl groups). But to part of the public who are on a witch-hunt against T-ara, these issues were not small conflicts, but collective violence. I can guarantee, such incidents did not, and could not possibly exist. But the public believes that T-ara members are bullies, without a doubt. Therefore, some of the members’ past and private life etc have also been dragged out into the public for discussion. Even more cunningly, netizens have packaged and claimed their actions on the internet as done to protect the victim Hwayoung from the other members’ violence and bullying. T-ara is now fully wounded. But the cruel public continues to use their hatefully crafted products (i.e the ‘evidence’) to mock them. They truly see their own actions as legitimate and just. T-ara’s Hwayoung was not bullied. Even if there was conflict with Hwayoung, the level of intensity and strength compared to the bashing now done to Tara is not even one in a million. The public only believes what it wants to believe. The more frightening part is that they will never admit or accept any rebuttals to the contrary. Their reaction to this article will probably be, “Oh, he must have received money from Kim Kwangsoo.” But this is not a rebuttal. It is the truth that those who hate T-ara never want to believe. *** Source: http://news.nate.com/view/20120805n15192 Translated via Chinese translations by: @kckclalala2 points

But well it's not like Hwayoung could still do it because her contract have been terminated already and Hyomin, Soyeon & Jiyeon were already part of it so that left Eunjung, Boram & Qri or maybe even Areum but among this four Eunjung is the rapper so it's just logical to choose her but with all the K-Netizens bashing her already this will just give them more reason to hate & bash her.. but anyway fighting for 'We Were In Love' Japanese version!!! [12.08.02] T-ara are victims of reckless reporters
LeslieJoon143 reacted to nathaniel for a topic
[12.08.03] T-ara are victims of reckless reporters T-ara are victims of unconfirmed reports in the media. Recently, the bullying situation began with a few tweets and reports saying Hwayoung was bullied in T-ara. Suspicions that idol groups have bullying in them have been around forever, and didn't just start yesterday. But the recent bullying accusations have exploded and attracted more attention than ever before. A problem that lies within this is that there is so much interest in the case, that reports are being published in the press just to increase views and clicks on their website which is the wrong attitude. To confirm the allegations that first began about bullying, netizens went and dug up various things that happened in the past. Excerpts from various different broadcasts were brought up through screen-captures and questioned, but they were not originally a problem when they first aired. The reports spread throughout the media were written without going through a verification process. Reports that were contacting representatives from the broadcasts were also hard to find. In addition to making screen-captures of various broadcasts, rumors have been circulating about T-ara. False and malicious rumors, such as "gangs" and the like, have been circulating online because of "netizens suspicions," but like the screen-captures, they have not been verified. The "trainee" was proven to be false, and the "back-dancer" report as well, but both spread before any confirmation had been done. Some even have gone far to force evidence and say that Hwayoung left a hidden message, "fans only know," in her Twitter message but the truth is it's different depending on where you look at the image. Websites gain revenue through clicks on ads on their website, and these reckless and unprofessional reports being spread attract attention and revenue for whoever reports it. The bullying allegations first started on July 28th through Twitter messages and continued until the 2nd. T-ara related searches dominated every popular search ranking on various portal sites. The Olympics began, but T-ara's scandal has attracted more attention and higher interest. The topic located at the center is that journalists recklessly report things posted online without getting confirmation just for a few more clicks on their website. Hwayoung recently posted on Twitter, "Please stop now and look forward to when I'll return with a new more mature and sophisticated image." The situation is at a point where it's finally calmed down. *** Source: http://news.nate.com/view/20120802n20672 Translated by: Nathaniel @ Diadem1 point -

T-ara Wins Poll for Girl Group with Strongest Minds T-ara was chosen as the girl group with the strongest mental capacity. According to a poll taken on the community portal site DC Inside from July 31 to August 7, T-ara was ‘the girl group with the biggest will and the strongest mental capacity’. The group garnered 11,858 votes, 80.1 percent out of the total of 14,798 votes for the poll. T-ara became popular after debuting in 2009 with Lies, and has been active in music, acting and variety both as a group and individually. Recently, however, it’s found itself in big trouble with outcast rumors that started through social networks. Girls’ Generation (SNSD) followed T-ara with 860 votes (5.8 percent), while Kara came in third with 369 votes (2.5 percent). 2NE1 and SISTAR could also be found on the list. DC Inside is currently holding a poll under the same theme with boy groups from August 7 to 14. As of August 8, JYJ is in the lead with 192 votes, which is 81 percent of the total number of votes. The way I see it is; T-Jinyo say they want the truth but in all honesty they only want to hear T-ara admit that they did indeed bully, because if T-ara says otherwise- T-Jinyo will just look like a bunch of rabid dogs barking up the wrong tree (which they are). Also, KKS already had a bad image; telling lies, giving vague answers, and making one horrible decision after another. His image/name was projected onto T-ara, they became the liars and whatnot. In the public eye CCM/KKS is T-ara and T-ara is CCM/KKS. You can't win when you have that kind of image projected onto you. These girl are in a poorly manage company, where the CEO lacks common sense/knowledge/humanity/professionalism/pr skills/etc. Having some experience in PR, my first instinct would be to tell the artist/client to lay low so I could come up with a plan and patch up the wound. Which is most likely why the girls were quiet the entire time. Lay out the plans, have a press conference WITH the girls and clear the air all within the first day or two of the tweets/speculation. CCM either doesn't have a PR rep/dept., or they have a shitty one, or KKS is just ignorant in general (ding ding ding!) and went against the PR plan. They only made the situation worst by the way it was handle. So the girls not defending themselves or Hwayoung defending T-ara, its not as simple as black and white. Hope this made sense I'm running low on fuel due to lack of sleep lol.1 point

Soyeon's recieving mixed reviews for her acting... I'm taking this as a good news, its her first try, the drama is still ongoing so she still got time to improve and atleast people are commenting on her acting and not threatening to burn down the TV Station for airing a "tainted" T-ara member.. I always thought Soyeon was much better in variety shows anyway, hope this all scandal will not reign in her sassy sharp wit that I love so much...1 point -

xxKazManiaxx reacted to min young for a topic
T-Jinyo and Protests Lately these few days, it is no longer about who’s right and who’s wrong. It’s no longer about whether or not Hwayoung is bullied. What is really going on is how to bring down T-ara. So far, this is the biggest scandal in T-ara history. Yes, we have Jiyeon scandal, Hwayoung lovey-dovey scandal and all sorts of things. But those are not T-ara brightest days. T-ara is still that group that is childish in the public’s eye. Nobody really bothers whether T-ara survive the scandal or gets beaten by it. But lately, T-ara has been clinching many achievements. Dominating the Japan market with their various hits. Dominating the first half of 2012 with purely one single. As a result, people felt threatened by this, they’re jealous, they want to fight against T-ara but bringing them down is very difficult. So when this type of scandal appear, they quickly utilises the media to defame our Queens. The media, evil as always, will do whatever it takes to increase the number of viewers/readers to their ‘news’. It doesn’t matter if it’s fake, if it’s based on no evidence. As long as it’s attractive, people will read it, they post it. Exaggerating the news, that’s what media does best. Just like how teen crimes are exaggerated in the UK, sites like allkpop just keep on posting news of baseless conjecture. Yes they have sources, but they take advantage of the fact that we, international fans, do not read Korean and claim that they translate it exactly how it’s written when it’s not. When things like proofs against bullying appears, they take forever to post them onto their site, cause it would mean the drama is ending, readers count will dropped. That’s what the media wants, bunch of scrooge claiming any benefits available without the slightest business ethics being put in consideration. It’s business after all, yes it’s entertainment world, but this is all business, it’s all about the money. What are those? EGGS? Seriously what do they hope to achieve by these I really don’t know. I don’t see how throwing a few eggs at CCM is gonna bring the whole building down? It’s not like throwing eggs and conducting these protests are going to make KKS so scared to bow down before them. What do you expect? Like KKS has egg-allergy or something? =____= These are people, who act rashly without thinking. They protest in the name of Queen’s of which I’m really ashamed of. They demand truth, truth about the scandal when it has already been given to them, that there is NO BULLYING. They say as T-ara fans, they’re very angry and they demand explanations. What explanations do you want? That there is bullying? So you just gonna keep throwing eggs no matter what explanation is provided cause you only accept the explanation that there is bullying? Exactly what I’m saying people, T-Jinyo and these so-called Queen’s are one group. Yes they don’t contact each other but their purpose is the same: To have CCM/KKS/T-ara confirmed that there is bullying. Their purpose is the same but the outcome they hope to achieve is different. T-Jinyo are wolf in sheep’s clothing bunch of fools. They act all high and mighty, fight in the name of justice, demand fairness and equality, demand bullying to be eradicated but all they want is for T-ara to be disbanded. Based on what I’ve been hearing, T-Jinyo is headed by a 15-year-old. I mean like seriously? You can’t even feed your xxxxing self, and you form this hypocritical organisation to brings down a CORPORATION? T-Jinyo have what? hundreds of thousands of people? And all that turns up at the protest like what? 6? Keyboard warriors, keyboard warriors everywhere. If you want to bring across the message, do it the diplomatic way. They want to talk to T-ara, why? Usually when things go wrong in, let’s say, a supermarket/fastfood restaurant you automatically ask to look for the? MANAGER! that’s right. T-Jinyo are bunch of fools that lose to KKS and are just trying their luck by pressing T-ara to say out the ‘truth’ they are looking for. But when T-ara say there is really no bullying, I’m sure they’ll just say that KKS is doing the trick again. I mean, LET’S SAY, T-ara did bully Hwayoung, why would they even own up? Why are all these brainless people trying to take T-ara down with such cheap methods? They’re the real bully, media are the real bully, but nobody cares, cause they’re wasting our precious time So people, like what the American president say,” We don’t negotiate with terrorists” We, Queen’s, should do the exact same thing and say: WE DON’T NEGOTIATE WITH BUNCH OF CRIMINALS TRYING THEIR LUCK IN BENDING THE TRUTH. (I mean, protesters are criminals aren’t they? ) Meanwhile, these fake Queen’s demand the same ‘truth’ but not because they want to bring down T-ara, they’re not as wicked and evil as T-Jinyo but they’re even more selfish than T-Jinyo. They want to feel better, to feel compensated. Let’s just ignore them should we? They’re at the road’s end and the best thing they can do is throwing eggs. They can’t even afford watermelons to throw. Pathetic bunch of crowd. To end off, these madness will end. it will end. and it’s all up to KKS on how he will solve it. Either that or the media decided to post some truths finally. We as fans there’s really nothing we can do except in helping proving there is no bullying and stand by T-ara during these difficult times. Don’t have a change of heart into other fandoms and don’t EVER bash T-ara, then you’re no different than the antis and I’m just gonna troll you like all the other antis. Nights, gonna be less active for this week due to exam1 point -

found on tumblr Some opinions about the incident of T-ara @charogne6 (A reporter in Korea) 12.07.31 The datas (which attack back the ridiculous evidences of netizens) were shown such like that, and those who still don’t believe just announce that ‘”I’m T-ara antifan”. Don’t pretend that you guys are on the side of the victim Hwayoung. 12.08.01 From a pointview of people who can see clearly this world, behaviors of people who can’t see must look ridiculous. On the other hand, people who can’t see don’t even try listening or take a look at the other’s opinion. Also, if anyone points out and opposes it, those people will just eliminate her/him. That’s why they never know their own ridiculousity. @djuna01 (a movie reviewer) 12.07.30 I feel scared of people who attack T-ara continuously by such informations. For me, I would say that Hwayoung wasn't close to other members, but bullying would be too strong a word for that. I wouldn't deny that there was a rift going on in the incident and most members have a different opinions than Hwayoung, but that's it. The members decision to bring the differences online was a big mistake, but does that make them a bully ? I'm sure that if we had left them alone the situation would have been sorted out like most girlfights. And not ended up by Hwayoung leaving and T-ara taking all the hate. I've never idolize T-ara. They're a group of girls who has different strengths and weaknesses, but putting them together on stage makes them one of the best GG entertainers in K-pop. I just don't want to see them getting all the hate they don't deserve from the people who don't really know them.1 point -
