  1. [12.03.06] T-ara to release first Japanese album and hold Japanese tour in June

    a>

Seven member Korean girl group T-ara will release their Japanese 1st Album (untitled) in June. On top of that, they will also hold a live Japanese tour beginning in Nagoya on June 19th and hoping to reach 40,000 people. In a blink, their popularity in Japanese has became evident.

T-ara's "Bo Peep Bo Peep" set records in Japan for being the highest selling debut single of Korean girl group. Since then, their charms have caught Japan by storm.

T-ara's "T-ARA JAPAN Live Tour" will go to six major cities including Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukoka, Miyagi and Sapporo and hold 11 performances. The end of the tour will be on July 25th and 26th in Tokyo at the Nippon Budokan.

    June 19 and 20: Aichi/Art Hall Theater

    June 22, 23 and 24: Osaka/International Conference Center

June 25 and 26: Fukuoka/Sun Palace Hotel and Hall

    June 28: Miyagi/Zepp Sendai

    June 30: Sapporo/Zepp Hokkaido

    July 25 and 26: Tokyo/Nippon Budokan

For heaven's sake, they're already busy as hell working on their new album scheduled for July while also promoting in Japan and now this? WTF has Kim Kwang Su been smoking in his head for the past 2 months now? Or has he simply lost his marbles just to live a comfy life after retiring?

The Japanese album can wait until LATER this year - they need a rest ASAP after that new album in July comes out. NO lengthy promotion performances again like Roly Poly last year. That's as far as it goes.

Seeing DBSK, SuJu's Hangeng and KARA complain about their agencies and getting in a lawsuit was bad enough - at this rate, T-ara might as well be next. As Big Bang's G-Dragon said - when idols are at their third year since debut, they get a tendency to rebel.

Better give T-ara that well-deserved break CCM, or otherwise YOU will next in looking like complete trashdogs of scum in all of Asia. As a fan, CCM (and especially CEO Kim Kwang Su) has so far done nothing but made themselves look no better than a gang of pimps in recent times, regardless of what astounding news they have to tell about T-ara to the public.

  2. To be frank, Ji Yeon would be the most popular member - for starters, since T-ara's debut, she's notably starred a heck load of dramas that are very highly catered towards audiences in their teens to early 20s (Jungle Fish 2, God of Study for example). If I dare say, she's at a similar position to WG's So Hee to some degree (though whether if SH was trained in acting in her predebut years is quite doubtful and frankly, I don't know and don't care).

Eun Jung comes pretty close in popularity as well, followed by Hyomin. So Yeon and Boram follow up next and lastly, Qri and Hwa Young.

Though this can all be attributed to CCM's management - obviously, Ji Yeon, Eun Jung and Hyomin got the biggest attention and probably the most overworked in solo activities as a result (not really fair in my opinion and even the less promoted members get only 2-3 hours of sleep on average).

  3. Ya,... during this whole time, I've been waiting for their Lovey Dovey promotions to end so they could get their 10 days vacation; I haven't forgotten about it but load and behold! Now they're doing Roly Poly promotions in Japan.. where the **** did that vacation go? and really, 10 days =/= 3 years of hard non-stop work + all those physical and mental stress these girls went through.

And about Eunjung's knee injury. Shouldn't people wonder what is she doing up and about with a nasty injury like that? Wouldn't be logical for her to just sit tight for at least a month with no appearances? Like I'm all for that 'professionalism' that people call it, but frankly, I'll like to call it a company's irresponsibility. There could be long term side-effects for her if it doesn't heal right, especially with her running around everywhere doing promotions, filming and appearances. I would think that the people/staffs of the places that she would've/should've appeared at would understand if she couldn't make it. If not, then they're just a bunch of ***wipes =~=

When i watched that one program that showed T-ara's killer schedule compare to the bigger more popular idols like SJ and SNSD, it made SJ and SNSD look like they were on vacation! I think the worst part of all that was SJ and SNSD has almost twice the members of T-ara and their (SJ/SNSD) schedules look practically empty! Of course, if they were promoting something, it might've been different but with 9-10 members, even if some were on leave/not present atm, there should at least be something on everyday for these groups, even if it is just one or two members that are doing it, right? bleh, not bashing SJ or SNSD, just pointing out something seriously wrong with how CCM is managing T-ara

    -Edit-

A full album is coming out sometime in July and... a comeback, like in a full album? then yes i agree too! :) Full album, full of T-ara goodness!!

I did a little bit of searching in the internet and it seems that CCM's management skills don't really seem really impressive at all. If anyone can recall, Nam Gyuri of SeeYa even at one mentioned that the head of CCM is a devil back in 2009 and was not treated well by the company. This also goes to say, CCM's roster list of idols and singers alike is rather small while everyone else is in sub-labels.

At one point, other famous artists like SG Wannabe and Lee Hyori were also part of Mnet but all left after working for just a few years, pefering to work with other agencies or even set up their own. While detailed information doesn't seem to be available in sufficiency, it sure as hell seems that CCM isn't very impressive in terms of management and treating its people properly.

Hell, this could be an even worse agency than SM, possibly.

I too was looking forward on T-ara getting a break after the Lovey-Dovey promotions had ended as well but seriously - now they're in Japan to promote Roly Poly up until some point in March, followed by working on their second full album. I understand that it'd be great to release it on their anniversary (and looking forward to what their new stuff will be like) but really...for some reason, it doesn't seem like T-ara were the ones who made such a decision on their own willing (after all, they don't even have control on what type of music they want to try out for).

Alas, I may have to dare say that most fans are seemingly more concerned with seeing T-ara on television and being active 24/7 than the girls' steadily deteriorating mental and physical health. I wouldn't be surprised if T-ara were actually thinking of the same thing as of now - a true fan's priority should be concerning about his/her celebrity's wellbeing, not on how many times they appear in the TV screen, computer, magazine or live performance. A truly sad world we're living in :/

  4. I'm all for T-ara to slowing down and giving them rest more than anything. If the stopping of acting gives T-ara breathing room for rest, then I'll all for it. I just hope T-ara's agency doesn't utilizes this time to push them harder towards their music, ie endless stage performances.

A few people posted that they're happy about this because now they can see all seven members now since there is no acting clashes. But the start of 2012 saw Jiyeon and Eunjung miss certain performances, not because of their acting but for fatigue and injuries respectively. So the acting issue doesn't really apply much there.

I also notice the word "break" that T-ara's CEO used, this brings up the question about what does that mean in terms of the expectations of T-ara in 2013? Will they go back to how things were before? Will they expect the same or better level quality of music after 2012?

This is something I'm worried about too - Kim Kwang Su aka CEO of Core Contents Media did say that T-ara will be given a break 'soon' but now that he says they're going to be having a vigorous schedule in Japan, he's either lied about the break or pushed it even further away, considering that making a full album takes months at the least to make, and when it's released, T-ara will end up spending up to 1-2 months promoting the title track. Even then, he said the 'break' will last just 10 days - that's a complete WTF - only 10 days of rest compared to over 3 years of non-stop work. It's simply not fair - one may say it's even abuse.

I think he's conned everyone about T-ara having a break soon - the news did get around with the fans and to an extent, the general public that T-ara's being overworked and tired out - just to avoid himself and the company getting the blame, he then just says they'll get a break. Result? The whole issue just dies down as everyone believes what he says - including many of the Diadems here. I even suspect that Eun Jung was actually forced to some parts of her schedule after he nasty knee incident by CCM itself - something's simply just not right at all.

Hell, T-ara's schedule probably makes other idols' schedules look like your typical high school timetable.

  5. hm.. Who knows, it's just like KARA, nobody think that they will do that kind of thing but the reality is... Hahaha,

Yeah, u right, having that schedule is unbeliveable, fortunately, they already made it and they get so much love because of that schedule, but still, it's not good if CCM still use that strategy.

Hope that they can get at least one month to rest, and then promote the new album and held a concert in the same month, oh my.. Fortunately, KKS said that there is no more acting for T-ara in this year..

Er no, it wasn't because of the schedule they got so much love - it was through their own efforts and not giving up in the process. But at the same time, it became awfully detrimental to their health, both physically and mentally. There's no justification in making them go through that much work - in fact, one can even say that T-ara still would have stayed immensely popular even if Cry Cry and/or Lovey Dovey came out later this year. The fact is, they already established a foothold into the public's knowledge in the long run after Roly Poly promotions ended - however, KKS's intentions at best, can be translated into that he's desperate to push T-ara to a major national status on par with groups like SNSD and Big Bang. That's completely pushing it as SNSD and Big Bang have been active far longer than T-ara has. It's his greed that's becoming a problem - so much up to the point he doesn't look like he gives a damn about T-ara.

I don't see where you got the news about KKS saying 'no more acting for T-ara this year' - Ji Yeon and Eun Jung are still busy with drama shooting and do you think he'll actually keep his promise they won't do any acting in the future? Judging from how he reacted and responded against KARA when they filed a lawsuit against DSP, he sure as hell doesn't give off a very nice impression and seems likely to abuse his power more so than often. Christ, the guy isn't even married and is a complete workaholic.

  6. ^ I have my own doubts that T-ara would file a lawsuit against CCM as well, since it would gather a lot of criticism as much as it will gain support, admittedly.

Though can you elaborate further on about T-ara not having a killer schedule from now on?

Having to do 3 comebacks within 6-7 months, followed by drama, movie and commercial shoots, variety shows etc. is quite a record - not even SNSD went that fast in 2009 when they released Gee, Chocolate Love and Tell Me Your Wish.

  7. So Yeon. Her pre-debut pics dating back since her trainee days in SM show there's not much difference between then and now. She looks the same basically, minus the changes in hair style.

Ji Yeon and Eun Jung are probably the most different without makeup on in my opinion.

Can't say for sure about Hyomin and Qri. Boram, remains a complete mystery - though has changed the most in appearance.

  8. It wasn't racist at all and I doubt T-ara, yet alone CCM, have some sort of racist agenda against Native Americans - they sure as hell didn't grow up in the US or had bad personal experience with actual Native Americans for starters. If they were racist, hell, then the background dancers should have been wearing Nazi uniforms complete with the swatstika armband.

If anything, the song itself was more of a waste of effort and time, considering it was unbearable to listen to

and received rather poor reception amongst the public and music critics in general. As much as I like T-ara,

it was one (if not, THE most) of their most disappointing songs - and rightfully so, further provided by the fact that YaYaYa did

awful in the music ranking charts.

  9. I think they will continue the killer schedule until one of CCM groups comeback, like Co-Ed or Davichi or maybe they will debut another group, T-ara is the most (?) successful group in CCM, it's different with The Big 3 company, they can take 1 group to comeback & another group rest or make the group has less schedule than before.. Just like SMent do.

If they just give 10 days holiday in 1 year (365 days) it's just crazy, but i hope that T-ara never do anything like TVXQ , i can't imagine that,, btw, SMent & DBSK's case still continue..

They shouldn't continue at all. Co-Ed, as sleepystudent mentioned, is no longer part of CCM as they were transferred to GM Contents Media, a sub-label with its own indpendent operations. It doesn't matter if T-ara is the most successful group in CCM - the fact is, they've already worked long enough with no vacation and that fully justifies taking action against CCM. Not to mention, Davichi is still around and popular so don't see why money should be such a real problem, ESPECIALLY since CCM is likely to take between 50-90% of the profit T-ara earns from the various contracts with broadcasting stations and concerts.

Anyone who justifies T-ara's killer schedule at this stage and thinks it's all for keeping them popular, is delusional at the best. And no, the Big 3 are comparable.

SM - SuJu and SNSD are the biggest success while others like fx and Shinee have been pretty dead for a while

JYP - Miss A and Wonder Girls - hardly active as much as 2PM and MBLAQ.

YG - Big Bang and 2NE1 - anyone else that had a big worthy comeback last year? Probably not.

Compare that with CCM, which has T-ara and Davichi. All of them have 2 groups they focus on while everyone else was put in the dustbin for much of 2011. The agencies will always push forward their most successful groups no matter what while leaving others to rot for a while. That's just the way how it works - YG is probably an exception but it sure as hell isn't the case with other agencies. Can't say I know enough about Cube Entertainment but hell, a close example would be Hyun Ah being active constantly while the rest of 4minute is pretty much left in the dark, not to mention being awfully slack with G.Na.

Regarding about the DBSK/SM issue - I'll note that SM is actually losing the case and it's only the invalidation of the contract that's being going on. The court has sided with the three members and SM doesn't really have much to put up against it. If SM is losing a fight like that, so will CCM - and rightfully, they should lose unless the T-ara members file the lawsuit for ill intentions (which would be quite unrealistic).

  10. Having a killer schedule doesn't necessarily grant you more popularity - Big Bang and 2NE1 are nearly not as active than any of the popular idol groups around Korea and they're still widely known. It's 'staying popularity' that's the real deal and T-ara has already achieved that - they're not going to fade away so easily considering they've had a lot of comebacks last year and have gained a good hold into the public's knowledge.

Even if the schedule is tight, the basics must be kept at the least - that's proper rest and meals and occasional vacations. Even SM gives its idols a rest once in a while - hell, T-ara hasn't even had a vacation since their debut and not a single day of rest since last summer. Their schedule has turned from the typical one of an idol to something that's simply not worth even looking at. Even the South Korean military gives its troops more rest and proper meals than what CCM gives to T-ara - and the former's training regime is considered among the most toughest worldwide (especially the Marine Corps).

If CCM wants to continue on with T-ara, it's about time they concede fairly - give T-ara at least a one or two-month vacation and a lesser workload. If not, then T-ara really should change to someplace else, preferably YG. CCM a while back did say they'll give the group a 10-day break but now T-ara's busy promoting in Japan while Ji Yeon and Eun Jung are busy with the dramas they're starring in and that won't end until at least late March. CCM's either deliberately delayed the break or has told nothing but a big fat lie. Even if isn't a lie, 10 days is nowhere near enough to compensate for over 3 years of no vacations and 8 months of no rest. For Christ's sake, the group's had a lot of cases with members fainting and collapsing, serious injuries and in recent times, depressing posts in Twitter.

If the people here really are fans, they should support an online petition to demand T-ara a true vacation. I'm supporting such a decision all the way. As fans, our number one priority is to be supportive and caring to their WELL-BEING, not their performances or what music they release. If the celebrity you adore so much is popular but whose mental and physical health is clearly deteriorating while you pay little attention to it and hope the agency will actually do something, then you are an idiot.

Should any case where CCM decide not to give T-ara a break at all, then Kim Kwang Su has lost his marbles, followed by potentially triggering off something similar to those nasty cases like what happened with DBSK, Suju's Hangeng, KARA's Nicole, Hara and Seung Yeon and Big Bang's plans on running away (thankfully, YG compensated fairly by giving into Big Bang's complaints and demands and the environment is much better). Not even Kim Kwang Su's influence and power in the K-Pop industry will save him, considering SM lost its court battle against DBSK.

  11. I was never really that interested in them initially - Lies was good to listen, followed by TTL.

However, I lost much respect for them when Bo Peep Bo Peep was released.

Became a temporary fan of Ji Yeon when she starred in God of Study, then lost interest.

Lost much respect for her when that webcam incident broke out, followed by the poor quality of Death Bell 2

Though the OST "What Should We Finish" by So Yeon kept me away from disliking the group barely.

Then came the song "It Really Hurts" - loved it.

Then came YaYaYa - made me think 'What the hell did CCM do to those girls?" It was atrocious to listen to.

    The other songs were 'meh'.

Then on 2011, Roly Poly came out - it was 'meh'. But after being told that

the song was more of a homage to the 80s, when my parents were in college, I became oblidged and

it's fairly good when going on for an evening walk.

Cry Cry is when I became a more serious fan.

  12. Personality-wise, I'll take So Yeon or Eun Jung - both know how to talk and start a conversation without making the scene rather awkward. I've a thing for girls that are both cute, mature, witty and vocally-talented. They're basically all-rounders really.

Though age would be a barrier, considering they're 5-6 years older than me even though I'm more attracted to slightly older women.

  13. It's time CCM give that damn well-deserved break ASAP after promotions in Japan. And not just a lousy 10-day break. It has to last a MONTH at the least. No vacation since debut - that even makes SM look like saints, honestly. T-ara has earned enough staying power in the entertainment industry so there's no worry about their popularity fading away fast.

We should all do an online petition against CCM and Kim Kwang Su, that dirtbag. As much as they're responsible and credited for pushing T-ara to fame, not giving them a decent break, sleep or even proper meals on a daily basis is pure ridiculousy and insanity. T-ara are not slaves. They're entertainers. If CCM wants to keep T-ara, they oughta do something right otherwise they'll get something similar to that DBSK and Hangeng case or even plans of running away, as by Big Bang back in 2008 (and thanks to that, YG's environment has become better for the most part).

Even the South Korean military gives its men proper meals and enough sleep - yet their training regime is among the most rigorous in the world. If CCM can't even handle the basics to T-ara's needs, then honestly, they're making themselves look like the North Korean government in miniature.

Hell, actually, T-ara would be treated far more humanely if they were under YG instead.
