  1. To be honest, unfortunately,no.Maybe for Korean fans but for international fans, there's nothing that we can do about it.We can keep commenting and complaining (believe me,I can't stop talking trash about him) but as international fans,we have no power to change KKS decision. It's all depends on how KQueens/KDiadems in Korea. This may sounds rude but if Korean fans can do something to their own idols,I bet they dare to do harmful things to the CEO,(which he is not eligible to hold that position in the first place and he's not worth it to be call as a CEO.I wonder who voted for him) like threatening him, assembling in front of the company and causing chaos,etc..

About the album,I don't think we should stop buying their albums. It's CCM's fault (or simply, the you-know-who fault) for adding 2 additional members and simply ride the popularity that the old members had build since the beginning. In my pure opinion, buying their albums shows that we as fans love them and there's no use to boycott the company in that way though.Yes,I'm saving my money for their upcoming album, too ;)

I wouldn't be surprised if a number of the Korean fans have already plotted something against him, so I'll keep my fingers crossed on what occurs (and God knows what'll occur in July - worst case scenario, a lot of SONES could probably turn up at the solo concert and cause a major scene)

Regarding their second album, as much as I hate to say it, I'm afraid desperate times call for desperate measures. T-ara very likely hadn't had much freedom in what kind of music they wanted to do, after all (the atrocity of YaYaYa is a particular example for me).

Regardless if we show our support them or not by buying the new album, the only real winners is CCM and KKS himself, not T-ara. That's the ugly reality. I myself have decided not to buy their second album after having to put up with so much horsesh!t from KKS and will only download the album from 4shared.com. At least CCM won't get my money, that's for sure.

  2. A war against the Sones?!! LOL. There would be no chance for us. We would be overwhelm just by the sheer number of them.

Which is why I said that they're a group I really wouldn't want to go up against. It's not just the numbers that frighten me - it's their behavior. And of course, it won't just be the Diadems that will be hit - if anything, the T-ara members are the ones who should really be on their guard in case the Sones lash out.

  3. Seriously is there anything the fans can do to stop his nonsense?

For the international fans, unfortunately no.

I can't be sure what the Korean fans would do but I'm highly certain that the more extremist ones (a.k.a sasaeng fans) are probably planning something nasty for him. Death threats in the form of letters, texts or phone calls, vandalizing his car or even just throwing a punch or two. While T-ara's fandom is quite small compared to those of SNSD, Big Bang, 2NE1, DBSK, SuJu etc., it's still at the least tens of thousands, minus the international fans. Given their boost in popularity over the recent months, the number of fans would have increased undoubtedly - that I'm positively sure about.

And that's quite a lot of people still - enough for a couple of extreme fans to pop up anyway.

To a lesser degree, the sasaeng fans of SNSD (Sones) would also probably do something similar - worst case scenario, they'll have their crosshairs aimed not only at KKS but at the members of T-ara as well (and let's hope that the latter does not happen because the girls are already being mistreated in an atrocious level). And of course, a fan war between Sones and Diadems would erupt inevitably, if not already - and frankly, the Sones aren't really a group I'd want to go up against - whether it be with my own fists or on the keyboard with a screen in front of me.

Not saying the whole thing will indefinitely occur, but it cannot be ruled off for sure. Anyone catching up with Kpop news would know how dangerous and scary sasaeng fans can be (and fandoms in general, not to mention antis/haters). While I do not condone their heinous actions, personally I think KKS is an exception.

  4. I hate this! why do our girls have to be treated this way when they work so hard?

I think all the girls ahve talent waiting to be developed and i think KKS is just holding a lot of them back from shining (Qri, Boram). I would like Sidius (Jay Park's company) to sign T-ara.

Ironically, seeing the name Sidius reminds me of Darth Sidious from Star Wars - which even more ironically, is the main antagonist of the whole series. Now, if KKS replaced Darth Sidious in Star Wars, it'd be quite unimaginable how much worse the Galactic Empire could get.

  5. Guys, why do you even call him a CEO when he's not even fit to be one?

We should all come up with a nasty nickname for him and refer him to that name from now on.

He doesn't deserve to be called a CEO, at all.

In fact, I'd even say he's lost the right to be a CEO, yet alone be in the entertainment industry.

It's HIM to who needs to be blacklisted.

  6. @scatter_88mil

Nice and well put *applaud*.It looks like I was reading an excellent essay.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lol, ironically, I'm actually dreadful at writing essays XD

  7. It is obvious that this change is to punish Soyeon! Soyeon is vital to T-ara because she is the voice but with 2 new voices in the group...she will lose her power and will have to behave as CEO wants to keep her position in T-ara.

And to be honest...Eunung and Hyomin can help Soyeon for the singing part because they are very good singers...and especially Eunjung who only raps now while she has shown to be a great singer.

Hmm, you have quite a point there. We've yet to see So Yeon complain about her position as the main vocal of the group - plus it's her position and it's not like Eun Jung and Hyomin's singing sound like fingers on a chalkboard (I'll say that they're good for idol singers to say the least).

With the exception of Cry Cry and a maybe a few others, I've actually yet to see So Yeon singing 95%+ of the lines in all of T-ara's title tracks.

  8. Yea I read the article as well and frankly, I think it's safe to say that KKS is suffering from an extreme case of permanent brain damage - rumor has it that he was an inmate of Shutter Island and somehow escaped.

I believe T-ara isn't the only case where they've been treated inhumanely - SeeYa's Nam Gyuri went through a similar problem on the year T-ara debuted and it goes to say that SG Wannabe and Lee Hyori also were under CCM and ultimately left it. He even had the guts to say Co-Ed was a 'failure' and left them for the subsidiary companies because he couldn't be bothered to take the responsibility himself.

However, I find it particularly shocking, enraging and downright insulting that he calls the girls 'lazy' and 'prideful' when it's KKS himself who's lazy and prideful. It's very ironic because he probably gets 8 hours of sleep, socializes/networks with others, smokes a few cigars, meetings and does a few dozen email sending/replying and calls it 'work' while the girls are practically on their last leg, not to mention the staff are probably also very highly pressured to work under that greaseball.

It still amazes me how the girls managed to tolerate his BS for so long - I certainly don't recall SM, YG, JYP or even Cube and Pledis ranting on to the media claiming their idols are being 'lazy' and 'prideful' several times in a relatively short time span in press conferences.

No vacation since debut until last month (and even that was awfully short), being forced to sleep only 2-3 hours a day, rushed to hospital, performing on the stage despite serious injuries as well as IV drips etc. - and yet, he has the f**king guts to say they're being lazy, talentless and prideful. If anything, HE'S the one who's a lazy, talentless and prideful nutjob. For me, it wasn't T-ara's physical appearances, screen-time or music that made me a major fan - it was their endurance in working under such a nutjob dictator that made me a deep fan, much like the Wehrmacht in the twilight months of WW2, which fought to the bitter end because it was forced to do so for a delusional nutcase with a toothbrush mustache, despite knowing the war was lost.

I don't care if they have their solo concert and 2nd album along with variety shows this year or not - what I care is they get a damn proper break to refresh themselves while also being given a chance to live like normal human beings. Even in 2009 when SNSD's popularity skyrocketed, the 9 members still got to have a short break at some point before summer. Solo concerts, new albums and appearing in front of people's TVs, computers, phones, IPads etc. can wait - the long vacation T-ara needs cannot wait and the countdown has already begun.

KKS's '30 years of experience' don't mean sh!t anymore - he keeps on using it as an excuse to say whatever horsesh!t he tried to justify in front of the media and suffice to say, it makes him look pathetic. And exactly how successful were his 30 years? The guy's around 50 or so (same age as my dad) - that means he's been in the ent. industry since he was at least 20 and he sure as hell wasn't an entertainer throughout his life (unlike SM, JYP and YG). I wouldn't be surprised if he cut a lot of corners to get to the position of CEO. No doubt that he has no idea how to understand the mentality of an overworked entertainer - after all, he was never one himself. That effectively makes his 30 years of experience fly out of the window.

On the side note, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the more extreme fans of T-ara actually have something nasty planned for KKS. If sasaeng fans are able to break into the dorms of their beloved idols, find out their phone numbers and infiltrate the backstage areas of concerts, I've no doubt that vandalizing KKS's car or office will be any more difficult. With all the attention he's directed towards himself, things will get ugly.

In the long run, it's very highly likely T-ara will follow JYJ, Han Geng and KARA. The dynamite has been lit - the question is when it will explode and cause a major storm.

  9. If their point is to strengthen the harmony of the group and to become more productive,

I think they made a good decision. As a fan, adding new member/s to the group may distract me, somehow.

I may never understand their decision, but as long as T-ara members are not complaining and it might help them to be more productive

I guess, all I need to do is to agree with it, no matter what happened, it's the CEO's decision.

Another point is that, they will become more successful if they did it, though the new members must work hard like the old ones'.

As I've said before, SNSD is a NINE member group and they've became SUCCESSFUL, why not T-ARA, right?

They said that SEVEN is a LUCKY number, but since T-ARA will be NINE and SNSD is NINE, I guess, my new LUCKY NUMBER is NINE

Become more 'productive'? I'm sorry to burst your bubble but T-ara is one, if not THE most overworked idol group in the K-pop industry and has been like that as early as mid-late 2011. If anything, T-ara is being OVERproductive as a group while CCM itself hasn't bothered to do anything about Boram and Qri in particular. Those two aren't going to be productive if more members are added in - actually, one can argue that adding new members is a long-term tactic of pressuring them to leave.

By the way, SNSD became successful not simply because on their looks or talents but because SM had the MONEY to promote them in the most effective and eye-catching ways - not to mention SM already had popular artists like DBSK around. SNSD wasn't exactly successful back in their early days until at least 2009, with the release of Gee - SM also benefited heavily from SuJu's big jump in success with Sorry Sorry not long after Gee. CCM is nowhere near financially advantageous as SM - not to mention CCM has the burden of having to maintain its own broadcasting channel.

Even in 2009 when SNSD's popularity skyrocketed off the charts, they released 3 title tracks (Gee, Tell Me Your Wish, Chocolate Love) over a span of 10 months, compared to T-ara's Roly Poly, Roly Poly in Copabanaca, Cry Cry and Lovey Dovey in a span of 7 months during 2011. That's quite a huge gap there - not to mention SNSD even had a short break at some point before June 2009.

  10. Why won't t-ara transfer agency? screw you KKS! Don't you even dare let hwayoung have no lines or even qri and boram. I'm seriously gonna plug your bottom with all of your money!

I believe it's due to these reasons.

    a. T-ara itself is simply not prepared or too afraid to go up against KKS

    b. Their contract doesn't expire until some years after

    c. KKS has blackmailed/threatened them behind the scenes, somehow.

But nonetheless, I believe fans should prepare themselves for something really ugly later this year, at least a few months after the second album is released. The girls aren't stupid, that's one thing and their patience with KKS is probably growing incredibly thin. The powder keg has already been lit - the question is WHEN it will explode over KKS's face.

I wouldn't be surprised if T-ara filed a lawsuit against him - and no doubt, CCM would lose. Not even SM was able to hold out against lawsuits filed by its own idols - and SM is the most financially powerful of all talent agencies in Korea. If SM can't win a lawsuit, CCM won't last any better. There's a reason why YG gave Big Bang a 2 month break when the group itself tried to run away from him back in 2008/2009. The last thing any agency needs is dealing with a lawsuit.

  11. It seems to me he is far more interested on T-Ara as a Trademark than on the girls themselves as artists, though I really don't get the logic he's following. Take a bunch of unknown girls, make them super popular and beloved, put them in the spotlight, and then start displacing them and humiliating them in public media while all their fans watch, to the point the "hitler" jokes and the fandom clamoring for them to give you the finger and hit the road is now standard procedure? In which world does "Those girls you all love and idolize can't sing for peanuts, LOL, I'm giving their lines to a bunch of newcomers." make any sense? Thirty years of experience my tail. @_@

I have never seen a CEO who managed to get as much hate to himself and his company as this guy has, and considering the kind of jerk ass behaviour CEOs usually have to indulge in that's saying something. I hope something long, sharp, pointy, and barbed finds its way up his backdoor. Totally by accident, of course.

Such logic exists only in his world - which is at best, cuckoo land. His excuse of having 30 years experience is no doubt just a shield to justify whatever horsesh!t he says in front of the reporters - he's used it many, many times, even against KARA when they filed a lawsuit against DSP a while back.

  12. visuals + backup vocals & dancers. that's what u get when ur in a girl group i guess. not everybody is able to play the important role because there can only be this much a group can contain. somebody's gotta be the "flower vase". and isn't it better that they are still in t-ara rather than getting an unjustified boot for how much they've suffered to bring the group to this status?

To me, it seems more like KKS is pressuring Boram and Qri to leave sooner or later. Obviously he won't make himself look good if he kicks them out so he's taking a more slower and cautious way.

  13. In a another couple of years, he's probably going to be like "I'm adding more members to relieve the burden on the two members I've stuck in."

Then one day we'll wake up and it'll be "23-ara"

In another couple of years, T-ara very likely would have filed a lawsuit against CCM and moved to another agency or in a worst case scenario, disband completely by then.

They've managed to hold out for 3 years but as GD of Big Bang had said - idols at their third year since debut get the tendency to rebel against their agencies. YG even almost lost Big Bang at some point in 2008/2009 due to the group being overworked and compensated by giving a 2-month break rather than tighten everything even further.

Given that KKS is obviously a big cuckoo who was born in cuckoo land, I don't think it'd be surprising that T-ara will rebel further against KKS, ultimately leaving CCM for good. The tighter he controls them, the more disillusioned, angered and rebelling T-ara will become.

  14. I don't know whether I should feel sorry for the new members or whether I should hate them. We all know that these two girls are going to get a hell of a lot of antis, they haven't been revealed yet and they still have many, but these two girls are getting a free ride on the hallyu wave which 7-ara have worked their asses off to get on.

Like I said in an older post- if I'm going to accept these girls they had better be damn talented (and that our dino remains the maknae >.<)

Also, if working yourself for 3 years straight without a break and only 30mins to 3hours sleep a night, then collapsing, injuring yourself and ending up on an IV is KKS' definition of lazyness, then I'm incredibly curious as to what his definition of not being lazy is.

    Excellent post there, mate.

I'd also like to add that not only will they get a huge lot of antis and flak from the fans and even the public in general but that what the responses of the current T-ara members will be.

Ji Yeon, Hyomin and Eun Jung (and So Yeon to a smaller degree) are the more overworked members and I really doubt they'd be too happy to see the new members just riding along the hard-earned popularity they worked tooth-and-nail constantly for 3 years. Boram and Qri's reactions wouldn't be any better either since they'll have even lesser lines in the future and rather than be kicked out, they'll be pressured by KKS and themselves to leave (and suffice to say, I'd imagine Boram's dad will be very pissed off if that occurs).

I can't say much what Hwa Young's reaction will be but nonetheless, I don't think it'll be a surprise if the other six members will have a cold relationship with the new ones, regardless how talented the new ones are.

For KKS's definition of not being lazy = I think it's pretty darn obvious. His definition of not being lazy is to work 24/7 as much as possible - literally. The guy's no different to the typical bosses of coal mines and factories in the 19th century. He even makes SM look like saints to a degree.

What I'm more curious is how successful his 30 years of experience was because he's giving off the impression to use his decades of exp. as an excuse to say whatever horsesh!t he wants to justify. And to say specifically, it's a pathetic excuse to say the least.

  15. Whoa wait, what?

I don't recall So Yeon complaining that her work as the main vocalist is too 'burdening'.

If anything, putting in two extra lead/main vocalists will make the line distribution even worse - we all know that Boram, Qri and Hwa Young hardly get anything with Eun Jung closely following behind the three. This will also put down Hyomin's position as lead vocalist and in effect, likely downgrade her to just a sub-vocal.

Now I see - in the long run, Boram and Qri are very likely to be forgotten almost completely. Actually, they'll probably be pressured to leave themselves. KKS, you make me sick. Rather than kicking them out yourself, you're just pressuring them slowly to leave. You sir, are subhuman and deserve to have a squad of Schutzstaffel soldiers and doctors torture and experiment on you to death

  16. [12.04.06] T-ara to promote as 9 members beginning in July

    a>

    T-ara has transformed from 7 to 9.

Kim Kwangsoo, T-ara and Core Contents Media's CEO said on the 6th, "T-ara will change from 7 members to 9 members. T-ara's system will change and if it's needed, we'll make the drastic decision of replacing members by bringing in new members.

He said, "In July, T-ara will release and promote a new album with new members. They'll change how they are to fit the 9 of them together."

Kim Kwangsoo CEO said that this decision was made because celebrities, and humans in general, will change and can become lazy which leads to their fall. Kwangsoo said the change to 9 members can help them stay successful and not turn out that same way.

He continued, "A lot of fans are worried and concern for the changes happening to T-ara, but our management knows very well what can happen if the changes aren't made. T-ara will be in a situation where there will be very intense competition, and we don't want to think that they'll not be able to grow. T-ara went through a lot of hard practice to debut as idols. They need to continue to constantly work harder and take on new challenges."

Kim Kwangsoo also wanted to emphasize, "T-ara's controversies including greeting problems, stage attitude problems, etc.. as T-ara's CEO, I'm sorry to the fans. Core Contents Media's staff and T-ara are working very hard to make sure to avoid all controversies."

"If the members are lazy, or harmful to other members including the new members, we'll make the bold decision to remove and replace them with new members."

Lazy? Very ironic considering KKS probably gets 7-8 hours of sleep a day, socializes/networks with other CEOS or people high up the ladder, has a few meetings, sends and replies a few dozen emails here and there and calls it work while T-ara had been overworked for the past 3 years with no vacation until the half-assed-attempted one they got not too long ago. This guy even makes my boss look like a saint.

Regarding T-ara's controversies about greeting problems and stage attitude issues - well guess what, it's all in the past now and if I'm correct, they already cleared out any misunderstandings. Bit too late to 'apologize' now. But now that there's 2 newbies coming in, it's history repeated all over again.

Intense competition? Well, I can't say - except adding in two new members will only make the distribution of lines even smaller than it already is, not to mention the share of profit will be smaller while KKS takes a huge gunk for himself. I wouldn't be surprised if a significant portion of CCM's management actually disagree with KKS's lunacy.

    =_=

Just came home from work and this is what i found.

WHAT a bunch of freaking BS!! SO BS!!

    Omg... =-=

The CEO better be sorry to the fans! Retract your statements and plans!! Sh**, this is total BS, if he really was sorry towards the fans, it shouldn't be overworking the girls!

GOD! UGGGGGH i'm so mad and extremely disappointed right now

I didn't even bother reading the rest of the first post because it was just extremely illogical. I felt like my brain was becoming a piece of sh** from just reading it. Shows how stupid, idiotic CCM's management is.

If he was really sorry towards the fans, he should have resigned :D

  17. The only thing that amazes me is that putting a hit on him hasn't yet been made into an official fandom project.

    Hint, hint.

I believe a number of T-ara's saesang fans in Korea probably are planning something brutal and nasty for KKS, even as we speak.

These are the type of fans that are extreme fanatics who will go to any length to see their idols, even protect them to a degree. I wouldn't be surprised if KKS found his own car ruined by grafitti, smashed windows, massive scratches and flat tires. If they go more bolder, they'll probably even give him prank calls, death threats letters and vandalize his home or office etc. The list is endless.

  18. words can't describe my feeling now..i wonder why CCM want to add 2 additional members to T-ara, they are creating trouble just like what they did when adding Hwayoung to T-ara..People took so long to accept Hwayoung, why CCM still creating more and more Hwayoung..can't they just create a new group for the two girls? If the girls are capable, no need to gain popularity by joining to T-ara, if they are not capable, no point they join T-ara

if the new girls are for boosting up T-ara's level to other countries, why not get them tutor on languages, as a fan from foreign country, I can learn korean, why not CCM give a chance to T-ara to learn our languages?

Given T-ara's killer schedules, I don't think tutoring them on other languages will be a really feasible option, unless KKS forces it down on CCM's management staff to ensure it happens (of course, logic and reasoning don't exist in KKS's subhuman brain, if he even has one).

Learning a foreign language isn't something that can be taken lightly and it takes years of studying to become fluent in it. Even to become partially fluent, it takes months to do so. And of course, just piles up the girls' workload even more.

  19. Planning to break into Japan/China more maybe? Having someone completely fluent in those languages would probably be helpful - look at Hangeng for SuJu. (I hope potential foreign members aren't as mistreated, but KKS...*cough*)

SuJu ultimately developed into sub groups for the most part and as far as it goes, if SM treated Hangeng like sh!t - not to mention that breaking into China isn't exactly what I'd call a very easy move. Ultimately, SM's main sources of income is Korea, Japan and the rest of SEA. I don't think China is particularly high up in their list, honestly. I don't see T-ara splitting into smaller groups like SuJu does, unless the number of members is expanded even more in the future.

CCM also has far less of a chance to break into China. SM obviously is far more business-savvy than CCM is, as well as having a far more financial advantage but even they're not THAT impressive in breaking to the Chinese market. And of course, SM doesn't have a cuckoohead like KKS in charge.

  20. An allkpop article mentioned that this maybe targeted to compete with SNSD in the Japanese market.... that's stupid if its true.. to compete, instead of copying the numbers of SNSD members, CCM should copy how more evenly SNSD distributes song parts and spotlights to its members.. (which also involves better vocal training and showcases for Qri, Boram and Hwayoung...)

I think CCM should copy SM on how to spend its money more wisely as well.

Making three MVs of the same song is a huge waste of money, as well as time and effort to a degree.

SM is one of the most business-savvy agencies in K-pop - like you said, they know how to promote their idols (or mostly anyway). CCM will never get to SM's level of promoting and giving its idols the spotlight, especially with a cuckoo head like KKS. Hell, I won't even consider him a Korean - more like someone who lived much of his life in cuckoo land.

  21. Well at least the amount of flak KKS got from the public has managed to scrap any plans of replacing any of the current 7 members. But of all people, why add more? Hwa Young has only been with the group since 2010 and she sure as hell didn't get any popularity until at least several months ago.

Most of all, the profit distribution and even lines in title tracks is going to grow even smaller. Boram and Qri, and even Ji Yeon and Eun Jung to an extent haven't had much lines with Cry Cry and Lovey Dovey. Maintaining 7 members is expensive but 9? CCM isn't as financially better off as SM, which shows little to no problem with maintaining SNSD and SuJu. Also, adding foreign members will not only create a language barrier but also in the long run, a potential case similar to Han Geng of SuJu a while back. We don't even know if any of T-ara's members are even possibly racist or simply don't bode well with foreigners.

This just goes to prove that KKS is hellbent on trying to create his own SNSD-style group and dethrone SNSD itself as Korea's top national idol girl group, as well as taking on SM Entertainment itself. The man's gone delusional. It's like saying Justin Bieber will beat Hitler in terms of being a well known historical figure.

  22. To be honest here,as much as I love T-ara,I think they should stop making MVs that are too long and they make too many versions.

Lovey Dovey has 3 versions,Cry Cry has 3 versions,Lies has 3 versions, and more........

Instead of doing this, why not using the money for other use?Or give them a rest?

I believe Lovey Dovey zombie version is actually referring to them -how tired and exhausted they are for doing a lot of MV for 1 song.

Urm,what take they so long? All of T-ara's fans had watched the MV thousands of time (okay,a little exaggerated,I think) and they ended the promotion months ago.

If anything, the money is better off being used to pay the employees more, including T-ara or at least on giving them a more spacious dorm - hell, even my aunt and her kids and husband live in a bigger apartment than T-ara does and their annual income is no doubt hardly anywhere close to what T-ara earns (though most of it is probably kept in KKS's pockets). The rooms in T-ara's dorm look a bit cramped to be honest. Even my room is roughly the same width as the one Hyomin and Ji Yeon share O.O

But I've got to say, you've made a really major sight on the reference on the Lovey Dovey zombie version.

Regarding why it took so long - imagine if they did it during T-ara's promotion of Lovey Dovey. It would have caused an even bigger uproar amongst fans - and of course, T-ara would be dragged into the mess.
